以二维三角晶格光子晶体为研究对象,在该光子晶体中引入两行平行的单模线缺陷波导,以一行耦合介质柱为间距,通过调节部分耦合介质柱的折射率,构筑了光子晶体异质结耦合波导光开关结构。利用平面波展开法和定向耦合原理计算了在不同入射光频率下,缺陷波导间耦合介质柱的折射率不同时的耦合长度,确定了合适的光子晶体异质结耦合波导光开关的结构参数。利用时域有限差分法研究了该光开关中耦合介质柱的折射率变化及异质结构介质柱的位置分布对光信号输出路径的影响。结果表明,通过改变该结构中耦合介质柱的折射率可以改变光的输出路径,可实现光的开关行为。并且异质结构介质柱位置的随机分布对该光开关的影响不大,有助于光子晶体新型滤波器、定向耦合器、波分复用器以及光开关等光子器件的研究。 相似文献

以二维三角晶格光子晶体为研究对象,在该光子晶体中引入两行以一行耦合介质柱为间距的平行单模线缺陷波导.通过分析和研究光子晶体波导耦合结构的耦合和解耦合特性,发现在不同频率下耦合波导的耦合长度不同.利用平面波展开法和定向耦合原理计算了在不同入射光频率下,缺陷波导间耦合波导的耦合长度,设计了一种新型超微光子晶体波导耦合型三波长功分器,实现了归一化频率分别为0.369、0.394、0.435的光波的分束效果.采用时域有限差分法验证了该功分器具有很好的功率分配效果.本文结果有助于光子晶体新型滤波器、定向耦合器、波分复用器、偏振光分束器以及光开关等光子器件的研究. 相似文献

风力机叶片覆冰现象严重影响其安全、经济运行,开展覆冰厚度在线测量技术研究具有重要的实际意义。本文提出了共面波导-微带耦合谐振器测量覆冰厚度的方法。通过耦合谐振器等效电路分析,得到了介质厚度测量的理论关系式;建立了耦合谐振器电磁场仿真模型,在谐振器表面覆盖不同介电常数、不同厚度的介质,计算得到了谐振器的谐振频率,进而得到了测量介质厚度的通用关系式,给出了谐振器谐振频率、介电常数和介质厚度之间的函数关系;制作了共面波导-微带耦合谐振器,开展了谐振器表面覆冰实验,测量厚度和实际厚度的相对误差在15%以内,验证了共面波导-微带耦合谐振器测量风力机叶片表面覆冰厚度的可行性。该方法对研究飞机机翼覆冰及其他介质厚度测量具有一定借鉴意义。 相似文献

The present paper deals with the theoretical modeling of a nonlinear asymmetrical metal-clad planar waveguide for sensor application to achieve high sensitivity. We take the appropriate field distributions for the proposed structure and impose the boundary conditions to derive the mode equation and other necessary formulae for the proposed sensor. The effect of nonlinearity on the sensitivity of the waveguide is studied. Also, we have compared our computed results with the results given for a similar sensor having five layers structure. It is observed that the sensitivity of the sensor is improved by introducing a nonlinear material in the cover medium. 相似文献

We analyze nonlinear guided waves in a planar waveguide made of a left-handed material surrounded by a Kerr-like nonlinear dielectric, and predict that such a waveguide can support fast and slow symmetric and antisymmetric nonlinear modes. We study the symmetry breaking bifurcation and asymmetric modes in such a symmetric structure. The analysis of nonlinear dispersion properties of the guided waves shows that the modes can be either forward or backward. 相似文献

Violet, blue, and green lasers were simultaneously generated by nonlinear processes using ultrafast laser inscribed neodymium‐doped yttrium aluminum borate (Nd:YAl3(BO3)4 or Nd:YAB) channel waveguides under pumping at 815 nm. These visible lasers were generated by the frequency doubling, self‐frequency summing, and self‐frequency doubling processes based on a 1062 nm laser radiation that corresponded to the 4F3/2 → 4I11/2 transition of Nd3+ ions. Further, the wavelength tunability for the violet and blue lasers was achieved by simply tuning the pump wavelength within the 4I9/2 → 4F5/2 transition. The dynamic behaviors of nonlinear periodic waveguides with a finite material response time have been investigated by numerically solving both the coupled-mode equations and Debye relaxation equation. When the response time of the nonlinearity is more than the transit time through the grating, a modulational instability is sufficiently suppressed and one can obtain optical bistability. Unlike a nonlinear Fabry-Perot resonator or ring resonators, overshoot in the transmission never takes place in the case of zero detuning. However, a relaxation (or damped) oscillation always takes place in the presence of detuning. It is also found that the switch-on time depends on the material response time and the switch-off time is almost independent of it. 相似文献

An interesting, surprising phenomenon, spectrum transformation of Gaussian pulse propagating in waveguide, is revealed in this paper. It is found that the spectrum power of zero frequency of Gaussian pulse is changed into the spectrum power of cut-off frequency of H10 mode in rectangular waveguide when FDTD simulation is implemented in the absence of nonlinear material in waveguide. The cause of the spectrum transformation is explained based on the mode field structure at cut-off. Its effect on the correctness of analyzing waveguide discontinuity problem is presented too. 相似文献
