A novel scheme for generation of an optical frequency comb (OFC) based on the chirping of two cascaded modulators is proposed. The first modulator is a dual-electrode Mach–Zehnder modulator (MZM), while the other modulator is an integrated MZM composed of two parallel MZMs that increases the number of comb lines. Our modified scheme can generate a large number of frequency lines with excellent flatness by simply modifying the chirp factor, and it is shown that up to 54 frequency lines could be observed. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that under the variety of conditions that can be used in this scheme, the power fluctuations of the OFC lines are less than 0.5 dB in all cases; these results demonstrate the robustness of our scheme and verify its good accuracy and high stability with perfect flatness. Additionally, our modified scheme has the merit of tunable frequency spacing, which is practical for experimental realization of the OFC.  相似文献

This paper proposes a scheme for information concentration of two remote two-level atoms in cavity QED. This scheme does not involve the Bell-state measurement. During the interaction between atom and cavity, the cavity frequency is large-detuned from the atomic transition frequency, thus the scheme is insensitive to both the cavity decay and the thermal field. We propose two schemes to prepare entanglement for the vibronic collective states of multiple trapped ions. The first scheme aims to generating multipartite entanglement for vibrational modes of trapped ions, which only requires a single laser beam tuned to the ionic carrier frequency. Our scheme works in the mediated excitation regime, in which the corresponding Rabi frequency is equal to the trap frequency. Beyond their fundamental importance, these states may be of interest for experimental studies on decoherence since the present scheme operates in a fast way. The second scheme aims to preparing the continuous variable multimode maximal1y Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state. The distinct advantage is that the operation time is only limited by the available laser intensity, not by the inherent mechanisms such as off-resonant excitations. This makes it promising to obtain entanglernent of multiple coherent and squeezing states with desired amplitudes in a reasonable time.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for generating maximally entangled states for two or more two-level atoms in a thermal cavity. The cavity frequency is large-detuned from the atomic transition frequency, so the Hamiltonian can be expressed as an effective form. The photon-number-dependent parts in the effective Hamiltonian are cancelled with the assistance of a strong classical field, thus the scheme is insensitive to both the cavity decay and the thermal field. The scheme can be used to generate multi-atom Bell-state and Greenberger-Horne-Zeiliner (GHZ) state.  相似文献

Unlike previous schemes, the present scheme works in the mediate-excitation regime, in which the corresponding Rabi frequency is equal to the trap frequency. A scheme for generating cluster states via Raman interaction is proposed. In the scheme, we firstly prepare cluster states of multi-cavities with information encoded in the coherent states and then generate cluster states of multiatoms, which encode the information in the ground states of A-type atoms. The advantages of our scheme are that the atomic spontaneous radiation can be efficiently reduced since the cavity frequency is largely detuned from the atomic transition frequency and the Hadamard gate operation of the coherent states is replaced by measuring the coherent states.  相似文献

将激光频率锁定于合适的参考频率,可以有效地抑制激光器的频率起伏。本文采用铷原子D2线超精细跃迁线的饱和吸收光谱和偏振光谱分别获得鉴频曲线,通过电子伺服系统将频率校正信号负反馈到780 nm光栅外腔反馈半导体激光器外腔的压电陶瓷上的方法对激光器进行稳频。介绍了两种方法的基本原理和实验方案。与激光器自由运转300s时激光器典型的频率起伏约6.6 MHz相比,采用饱和吸收光谱和偏振光谱进行稳频,运转300 s时激光器典型的残余频率起伏分别约为1.5 MHz和0.6 MHz。分析表明,饱和吸收光谱稳频采用了相敏检波技术,需要对激光器进行频率调制,带来了额外的频率噪声,而偏振光谱稳频则是一种完全无频率调制的稳频方案。  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate a novel frequency-stabilization scheme that provides linewidth narrowing and at the same time is compatible with high-speed frequency agility. The method relies on sensing and control of a heterodyne beat signal derived from a fiber interferometer and functions in the absence of a fixed reference frequency. Our demonstration utilizes a short-external-cavity diode laser equipped with an intracavity electro-optic crystal for frequency correction. The stabilization method is shown to suppress impressed laser frequency modulation by nearly 2 orders of magnitude. Without further modification of our scheme we also demonstrate laser frequency tuning control.  相似文献

The interaction between polychromatic fields and atoms is an important subject in quantum optics.Frequency locking for small frequency interval multi-field is usually required in some experiments.In this letter,we experimentally demonstrate a holistic scheme for bichromatic laser frequency stabilization.Compared with traditional saturation absorption methods and complicated frequency shift schemes,offset locking for bichromatic fields is simply achieved using polarization spectroscopy and Doppler effect.Frequency locking with a wide-range asymmetry of the detuning is also shown.Our scheme makes laser spectroscopy experiments with polychromatic fields more convenient.  相似文献

A high-precision digital measuring scheme for half-wave voltage of Y-tap multiple integrated optical circuits is proposed. This scheme is based on Sagnac interferometer modulated with digital step waveform whose frequency is half of eigen frequency of the interferometer. The technology and measuring precision are discussed. An experimental setup is made and the temperature-dependences of half-wave voltage of two samples are studied. A chaotic communication scheme with a fibre ring inserted in the optical feedback of the transmitter laser as an additional key is proposed under anticipating synchronization. The numerical results show that the key can enhance the communication security effectively. It is theoretically safe for the communication scheme to transmit messages with a frequency beyond the relaxation oscillation frequency.  相似文献

This paper presents a scheme for realizing the frequency up-conversion between two collective atomic modes. In the scheme two atomic samples are coupled to a cavity mode. Under the large detuning condition, the two collective atomic modes are coupled via the virtual excitation of the cavity mode and the effective Hamiltonian corresponds to the frequency up-conversion. In the scheme the cavity mode is only virtually excited and thus the process is insensitive to cavity decay.  相似文献

A novel MI-insensitive and filterless frequency octupling scheme based on two parallel dual-parallel Mach–Zehnder modulators (DP-MZMs) is proposed. The proposed scheme is not sensitive to modulation index and relatively strong MMW signal with good radio frequency spurious suppression ratio (RFSSR) can be obtained without strict requirement on modulation index. Filterless feature makes the scheme quite suitable for wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) applications. For verification, a 60 GHz millimeter wave with 44 dB RFSSR is generated from a 7.5 GHz radio frequency wave by simulation. Performance of the proposed scheme has been characterized under different conditions including DC-bias drifts of MZMs, different amplitudes of RF inputs and different extinction ratios of MZMs.  相似文献

A fiber-based, star-shaped joint time and frequency dissemination scheme is demonstrated. By working in cooperation with the existing commercial telecommunication network. Our scheme enables the frequency, time, and digital data networks to be integrated together and could represent an ideal option of interconnection among scientific institutions.The compensation functions of the time and frequency transfer scheme are set at the client nodes. The complexity of the central node is thus reduced, and future expansion by the addition of further branches will be accomplished more easily.During a performance test in which the ambient temperature fluctuation is 30℃/day, timing signal dissemination stability is achieved to be approximately ±50 ps along 25-km-long fiber spools. After calibration, a timing signal synchronization accuracy of 100 ps is also realized. The proposed scheme offers an option of the construction of large-scale fiber-based frequency and time transfer networks.  相似文献

We propose a scheme capable of performing complete Bell-state analysis for single-photon hybrid entangled state. Our single-photon state is encoded in both polarization and frequency degrees of freedom. The setup of scheme is composed of polarizing beam splitters, half wave plates, frequency shifters, and independent wavelength division multiplexers, which are feasible with current technology. We also show that, with this setup, we can perform the schemes for complete two-photon Bell-state analysis for polarization degree of freedom. Moreover, it can also be used to perform the teleportation scheme between different degrees of freedom. This setup may allow extensive applications in current quantum communications.  相似文献

提出一种基于双并联马赫-曾德尔调制器(MZM)的新型四倍频光生毫米波技术,并用于矢量信号调制。传统的四倍频调制技术,由于数据信号同时调制到+2,-2阶边带上,拍频检测后两个边带上数据信号会产生相位叠加,只适用于不归零码(NRZ)等强度调制格式。提出的矢量信号调制技术将数据信号调制在一个-1阶边带上,另一个+3阶边带不携带数据,在拍频检测后幅度和相位信息被正确保留。同时,四倍频模块降低了传输过程中对电和光器件的带宽需求。理论分析和仿真结果表明,通过此方法产生的携带在60GHz载波上的6.25×108 symbol/s的四相相移键控(QPSK)信号,经过20km单模光纤传输后,误差向量幅度(EVM)损耗可以忽略。  相似文献
