In this paper, we investigate the isochronicity and linearizability problem for a cubic polynomial differential system which can be considered as a generalization of the Riccati system. Conditions for isochronicity and linearizability are found. The global structure of systems of the family with an isochronous center is determined. Furthermore, we find the order of weak center and study the problem of local bifurcation of critical periods in a neighborhood of the center.  相似文献

In this paper, a vibration-based testing methodology to assess fatigue behavior of a metallic structure is presented. To minimize the testing duration, the test setup is designed for a base-excited multiple-specimen arrangement driven in a high-frequency resonant mode, which allows completion of fatigue testing in an accelerated period. The shaker operates in closed-loop control with dynamic specimen response feedback provided by a scanning laser vibrometer. A test coordinator function is developed to synchronize the shaker controller and the laser vibrometer and complete the closed-loop scheme: the test coordinator monitors structural health of the test specimens throughout the test period, recognizes change in specimen dynamic behavior due to fatigue crack initiation, terminates test progression, and acquires test data in an orderly manner. The test methodology is demonstrated with cantilever specimens that are clasped on the shaker armature with specially-designed clamp fixtures. Experimental stress evaluation is carried out to verify the specimen stress predictions. A successful application of the experimental methodology is demonstrated by validation tests with Al 6061-T6 aluminum specimens subjected to fully-reversed bending stress.  相似文献

A dynamic model of the interaction of a rigid body with a jet flow of a resistant medium is considered. This model allows us to obtain three-dimensional analogs of plane dynamic solutions for a solid interacting with the medium and to reveal new cases where the equations are Jacobi integrable. In such cases, the integrals are expressed in terms of elementary functions. The classical problems of a spherical pendulum in a flow and three-dimensional motion of a body with a servoconstraint are shown to be integrable. We prove an L q theory result for generalized Stokes system in a \({\mathcal{C}^{2,1}}\) domain complemented with the perfect slip boundary conditions and under Φ-growth conditions. Since the interior regularity was obtained in Diening and Kaplický (Manu Math 141:336–361, 2013), a regularity up to the boundary is an aim of this paper. In order to get the main result, we use Calderón–Zygmund theory and the method developed in Caffarelli and Peral (Ann Math 130:189–213, 1989). We obtain higher integrability of the first gradient of a solution.  相似文献

The vibrations of a beam on an elastic foundation under the action of a periodic system of moving concentrated forces are analyzed against different spatial periods and different velocity ranges separated by three critical values. It is established that for velocities ranging from zero to the minimum critical value, resonance does not occur and the beam deflection weakly depends on the force velocity. We consider scalar conservation laws with convex flux and random initial data. The Hopf–Lax formula induces a deterministic evolution of the law of the initial data. In a recent article, we derived a kinetic theory and Lax equations to describe the evolution of the law under the assumption that the initial datum is a spectrally negative Markov process. Here we show that: (i) the Lax equations are Hamiltonian and describe a principle of least action on the Markov group; (ii) the Lax equations are completely integrable and linearized via a loop-group factorization of operators; (iii) the associated zero-curvature equations can be solved via inverse scattering. Our results are rigorous for N-dimensional approximations of the Lax equations, and yield formulas for the limit N → ∞. The main observation is that the Lax equations and zero-curvature equations are a Markovian analog of known integrable systems (geodesic flow on Lie groups and the N-wave model respectively). This allows us to introduce a variety of methods from the theory of integrable systems.  相似文献

We construct a stochastic model showing the relationship between noise, gradient flows and rate-independent systems. The model consists of a one-dimensional birth–death process on a lattice, with rates derived from Kramers’ law as an approximation of a Brownian motion on a wiggly energy landscape. Taking various limits, we show how to obtain a whole family of generalized gradient flows, ranging from quadratic to rate-independent ones, connected via ‘L log L’ gradient flows. This is achieved via Mosco-convergence of the renormalized large-deviations rate functional of the stochastic process.  相似文献

This paper analyzes a membrane of a dielectric elastomer, prestretched and mounted on a rigid circular ring, and then inflated by a combination of pressure and voltage. Equations of motion are derived from a nonlinear field theory, and used to analyze several experimental conditions. When the pressure and voltage are static, the membrane may attain a state of equilibrium, around which the membrane can oscillate. The natural frequencies can be tuned by varying the prestretch, pressure, or voltage. A sinusoidal pressure or voltage may excite superharmonic, harmonic, and subharmonic resonance. Several modes of oscillation predicted by the model have not been reported experimentally, possibly because these modes have small deflections, despite large stretches.  相似文献

The resonant generation of a second-mode internal solitary wave, resulting from a ship internal waves system damping in a thermocline, is studied experimentally. The source of the stationary internal waves was provided by an oblong ellipsoid of revolution towed horizontally and uniformly at the depth of the thermocline center. The ranges of the Reynolds and Froude numbers were 500Re=Ul/v 15000 and 0.3Fi=U/N max D1.0, respectively. When the body's speed and the linear long-wave second-mode phase speed were equal, an internal solitary wave of the bulge type was observed. The shape of the wave satisfied the Korteweg-de Vries equation. In this article an analytical solution of equations of motion of a rigid disk of finite thickness rolling on its edge on a perfectly rough horizontal plane under the action of gravity is given. The solution is given in terms of Gauss hypergeometric functions. The integrability results are used to construct various bifurcation diagrams of the steady motion of the disk. The bifurcations of the steady motion of a disk on a rough plane complements the author's bifurcation analysis of the steady motion of the disk on a smooth plane ( [M. Batista, Steady motion of a rigid disk of finite thickness on a horizontal plane, Int. J. Non-Linear Mech. 41 (4) (2006) 605–621]).  相似文献

By using the standard symmetry reduction method, some exact analytical solutions including gray solitons and gray soliton lattice solutions are derived for the (\(2+1\))-dimensional nonlinear optical media with periodic nonlocal response. Furthermore, dark/gray soliton solutions and dark soliton lattice solutions are found by means of hyperbolic function expansion method and elliptic function expansion method for the nonlocal nonlinear system, respectively. It is found that two critical points exist for soliton solutions, and the switching dynamics of solitons may be described by the critical points.  相似文献

The paper examines the effect of dissipative heating on the performance of a sensor in a viscoelastic rectangular plate undergoing resonant vibrations. The thermoviscoelastic behavior of materials is described using the concept of complex characteristics. The coupling of the electromechanical and thermal fields is taken into account. The nonlinear problem is solved by the Bubnov–Galerkin method.
