4He-p collisions at two values of4He momenta 8.6 GeV/c and 13.6 GeV/c as well as the3He-p collisions at 13.5 GeV/c have been studies using the one-meter JINR hydrogen bubble chamber. Total, elastic, topological and reaction cross sections have been measured. The cross sections have been determined on a sample of minimum biased events.  相似文献

Helium break-up reactions have been studied in 4He-proton interactions at 8.6 GeV/c4He momentum in the hydrogen bubble chamber. The data obtained in an exposure of BEBC to an r.f. separated beam of antiprotons at 12 GeV/c are used to derive exclusive cross sections for reactions having one or more neutral strange particles in the final state. Particular attention is given to the estimation of the background. An upper limit of the cross section for the inclusive production of the charmed mesonD * is also given.  相似文献

Antiproton-proton elastic scattering has been measured at 5 GeV/c. A total of 30 000 events were observed in the angular range 17° < θcm < 136°, corresponding to 0.3 < −t < 7.7 (GeV/c2). In addition to the known dip at −t = 0.5 (GeV/c)2, we observe a structure at about −t = 2 (GeV/c)2 and a backward peak with a slope4.1 ± 0.6 (GeV/c)2. The extrapolated differential cross-section at u = 0 is 1.3 ± 0.8 μb/(GeV/c)2.  相似文献

Direct photon production has been studied by an experiment performed with the NA3 spectrometer at CERN, using incident negative and positive beams at 200 GeV/c interacting with an isoscalar Carbon target. Two different triggers have been used; one of them requires the photon conversion. The experiment is sensitive to direct photons produced with 3.0≦P T ≦6 GeV/c and center-of-mass rapidity ?0.4≦y *≦1.2. Inclusive cross sections are given for incident π± and protons, and compared with second order QCD predictions; finally an estimation of the gluon structure function of the nucleon is given.  相似文献

The results presented in this paper were obtained from a 105 000 frame exposure of the FNAL Hybrid Proportional Wire Chamber-30 inch Bubble Chamber System, in a tagged beam of 147 GeV/c negative particles. Elastic, total and topological cross sections were obtained for both π?p and K?p interactions. Comparisons with other data, taken with various beam particles over large momentum intervals, show good agreement with KNO scaling, and similarity in the scaling behavior of σn for the different beam particles.  相似文献

We have measured total and elemental charge changing cross sections fro the fragmentation of 10 AGeV 197Au- and 158 AgeV 207Pb-beams interacting with different targets (C, CH2, Al, Cu, Ag, and Pb) using stacks of CR-39 and of BP-1 nuclear track detectors. Electromagnetic dissociation (ED) significantly contributes to these interactions besides nuclear fragmentation. Based on the factorization of elemental cross sections it is possible to separate electromagnetic dissociation cross sections from the measured data. The analysis of the Au 10 AGeV experiment is completed. For the Pb-beam the analysis is in progress. First results will be reported.  相似文献

Cross sections for the production of Li and Be isotopes in carbon targets irradiated by 300 GeV protons have been measured by mass spectrometry. Strange multibaryon states with Λ-hyperon and K s 0 -meson subsystems has been studied from 700 000 stereo photographs or 106 inelastic interactions which was obtained from expose of 2-m propane bubble chamber (PBC) LHEP, JINR to proton beams at 10 GeV/c. The obtained results from PBC can be divided into three subjects: in-medium effects of hadronic particles; baryon spectroscopy; hyper-nucleus production. At present the experimental situation is confused; so is theory. New accelerator research complexes has unique possibility for high-statistic and 4π-geometry study of exotic states.  相似文献

αα elastic scattering was measured at 4.32 GeV/c and 5.07 GeV/c incident momenta. The four-momentum transfer range, extending from ?0.05 to ?0.77 (GeV/c)2, covers the first and second minimum regions. The results are compared with calculations based on Glauber theory.  相似文献

Using data obtained with EHS equipped with the Rapid Cycling Bubble Chamber (RCBC) exposed to a proton beam of 360 GeV/c, we calculate topological cross sections. We present in great detail the procedure and the techniques used to correct raw data. Finally, we give multiplicity moments and multiplicity correlations and we compare the values obtained in our experiment, together with data at other energies, with different models.  相似文献

The spallation of copper by 9 GeV/c protons and deuterons has been studied. Cross sections for the production of radionuclides with 24 A 60 were determined from direct gamma-ray counting of irradiated targets with a Ge(Li) — spectrometer. The results were parametrized in terms of a 6-parameter formula which reproduces the measured charge-dispersion and mass-yield distributions. A search for pairs of highp T prompt photons produced in hydrogen by a 280 GeV/c incidentπ - beam has been carried out using a fine-grained electromagnetic calorimeter and the Omega spectrometer at the CERN SPS. Clear evidence for the existence of such events is found with a six standard deviation signal forp T >3.0 GeV/c. The cross-sections are consistent with beyond leading order QCD calculations.
