Superconducting magnet system for a 28GHz ECR ion source has been designed.The maximum axial magnetic fields are 4T at the rf injection side and 2T at the beam extraction side,respectively.The hexapole magnetic field is about 2T on the inner surface of the plasma chamber.The superconducting coils consist of six solenoids and six racetrack windings for a hexapole field.Two kinds of coil arrangements were investigated:one is an arrangement in which the hexpole coil is located in the bore of the solenoids,and another is the reverse of it.The coils use NbTi-Copper conductor and are bath-cooled in liquid helium.The six solenoids are excited with individual power supplies to search for the optimal axial field distribution.The current leads use high Tc material and the cryogenic system is operated in LHe re-condensation mode using small refrigerators.The thermal insulated supports of the cold mass have also been designed based on the calculated results of the magnetic force.The heat loads to 70K and LHe stages were estimated from the design of the supports,the current leads and so on.  相似文献

A new compact version of the"liquid He-free"superconducting Electron Cyclotron Resonance Ion Source,to be used as an injector for the U-400M cyclotron,is presently under construction at the FLNR in collaboration with LHE(JINR).The axial magnetic field of the source is created by the superconducting magnet,and the NdFeB hexapole is used for the radial plasma confinement.The microwave frequency of 14GHz will be used for ECR plasma heating.The DECRIS-SC2 superconducting magnet is designed for the induction of a magnetic field on the axis of the source of up to 1.4T(extraction side)and 1.9T(injection side) at nominal current of 75A.Cooling of the coils is carried out by CM cryocooler with cooling power of 1W at the temperature 4.5K.The basic design features of the superconducting magnet and of the ion source are presented.The main parts of the source are in production.The first beam test of the source is expected in the beginning of 2007.  相似文献

A conduction-cooled superconducting magnet producing a transverse field of 4 T has been designed for a new generation multi-field coupling measurement system,which will be used to study the mechanical behavior of superconducting samples at cryogenic temperatures and intense magnetic fields.A compact cryostat with a two-stage GM cryocooler is designed and manufactured for the superconducting magnet.The magnet is composed of a pair of flat racetrack coils wound by NbTi/Cu superconducting composite wires,a copper and stainless steel combinational former and two Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_v superconducting current leads.The two coils are connected in series and can be powered with a single power supply.In order to support the high stress and attain uniform thermal distribution in the superconducting magnet,a detailed finite element(FE) analysis has been performed.The results indicate that in the operating status the designed magnet system can sufficiently bear the electromagnetic forces and has a uniform temperature distribution.  相似文献

An advanced superconducting ECR ion source named SECRAL has been constructed at Institute of Modern Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences,whose superconducting magnet assembly consists of three axial solenoid coils and six sextupole coils with a cold iron structure as field booster and clamp.In order to investigate the structure of sextupole coils and to increase the structural reliabilities of the magnet system, global and local structural analysis have been performed in various operation scenarios.Winding pack and support structure design of magnet system,mechanical calculation and stress analysis are given in this paper. From the analysis results,it has been found that the magnet system is safe in the referential operation scenarios and the configuration of the magnet complies with design requirements of the SECRAL.  相似文献

中国科学院近代物理研究所正在进行国际首台45 GHz全铌三锡超导离子源FECR(Fourth Electron Cyclotron Resonance)磁体的研制,该离子源磁体线圈由六个铌三锡超导六极线圈和四个铌三锡超导螺线管线圈组成。由于单根超导线绕制异形六极线圈(非标准鞍型)技术难度大,且铌三锡超导性能对应力敏感,为了测试单个铌三锡六极线圈性能能否达到设计指标,基于铝合金壳层结构和Bladder-Key精确预紧技术,设计了镜像磁场约束结构。本工作主要阐述了运用ANSYS参数化设计编程对镜像磁场结构进行优化设计的过程和优化后的镜像磁场结构,确定了室温预应力大小,并给出了线圈经过室温预紧、冷却降温和加电励磁后的最大等效应力。进一步结合实际六极线圈制作公差(±0.1 mm),分析和评估了公差对镜像磁场结构中六极线圈预应力施加的影响。  相似文献

We present a design and test results of a high-temperature superconducting magnet, which is under development for use in a new cryogen-free electron beam ion trap. The magnet is designed to provide a magnetic field as high as about 3 T with a combination of six double-pancake coils. In order to achieve such a high field, the critical current is increased by cooling the magnet down to 20 K with a refrigerator. Before the full development, a single-pancake coil has been produced and tested.  相似文献

This paper describes a superconducting magnet system for the China Accelerator Driven System (CADS). The magnetic field is provided by one main, two bucking and four racetrack coils. The main coil produces a central field of up to 7 T and the effective length is more than 140 mm, the two bucking coils can shield most of the fringe field, and the four racetrack superconducting coils produce the steering magnetic field. Its leakage field in the cavity zone is about 5× 10-5 T when the shielding material Niobium and cryogenic permalloy are used as the Meissner shielding and passive shielding respectively. The quench calculations and protection system are also discussed.  相似文献

The properties of short-circuited multiturn superconducting coils have been studied; coils with nonsuperconducting contacts have been fabricated from a high-temperature superconducting (HTSC) tape made by Super Power Company. The magnetic flux captured by HTSC coils has been measured at different values of magnetic field of the magnetizing solenoid. the critical current in the coils have been experimentally determined based on the maximum values of the field they captured. It is ~50% of the nominal value for this HTSC tape. The range of external magnetic field, where HTSC coils keep the captured magnetic flux, has been experimentally found. The obtained results have demonstrated the possibility of designing magnet systems with levitating coils made of HTSC tape, in which levitation is controlled without using feedbacks.  相似文献

A Superconducting ECR ion source with Advanced design in Lanzhou (SECRAL) was successfully built to produce intense beams of highly charged ions for Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL).The ion source has been optimized to be operated at 28GHz for its maximum performance.The superconducting magnet confinement configuration of the ion source consists of three axial solenoid coils and six sextupole coils with a cold iron structure as field booster and clamping.For 28GHz operation,the magnet assembly can produce peak mirror fields on axis 3.6T at injection,2.2T at extraction and a radial sextupole field of 2.0T at plasma chamber wall.A unique feature of SECRAL is that the three axial solenoid coils are located inside of the sextupole bore in order to reduce the interaction forces between the sextupole coils and the solenoid coils. During the ongoing commissioning phase at 18GHz with a stainless steel chamber,tests with various gases and some metals have been conducted with microwave power less than 3.2kW and it turned out the performance is very promising.Some record ion beam intensities have been produced,for instance,810eμA of O~(7 ),505eμA of Xe~(20 ),306eμA of Xe~(27 ),21eμA of Xe~(34 ),2.4eμA of Xe~(38 ) and so on.To reach better results for highly charged ion beams,further modifications such as an aluminium chamber with better cooling,higher microwave power and a movable extraction system will be done,and also emittance measurements are being prepared.  相似文献

A Penning trap system called Lanzhou Penning Trap (LPT) is now being developed for precise mass measurements at the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP). One of the key components is a 7 T actively shielded superconducting magnet with a clear warm bore of 156 mm. The required field homogeneity is 3×10-7 over two 1 cubic centimeter volumes lying 220 mm apart along the magnet axis. We introduce a two-step method which combines linear programming and a nonlinear optimization algorithm for designing the multi-section superconducting magnet. This method is fast and flexible for handling arbitrary shaped homogeneous volumes and coils. With the help of this method an optimal design for the LPT superconducting magnet has been obtained.  相似文献

本文提出一种用于短腔、自屏蔽磁共振成像超导磁体系统的混合优化设计方法,通过结合线性规划和非线性优化算法,设计出的磁体系统具有建造成本低、结构简单、以及线圈中最高磁场、电流安全裕度和电磁应力可控等优点.首先,通过线性规划算法在欲布置线圈空间范围内建立二维连续网格划分,搜索满足磁场约束条件的网格电流分布图;其次,将电流分布图中的非零电流簇离散成螺线管线圈,通过非线性优化算法计算出满足成像区域磁场均匀度要求、5 Gs杂散场限制、线圈中最高磁场限制、电流安全裕度以及线圈间尺寸间隔等约束条件的线圈结构参数.文中给出一个中心磁场为1.5T自屏蔽磁共振成像超导磁体系统的设计案例,在50 cm球形成像区域所产生的磁场峰峰值不均匀度为10 ppm,线圈最大长度为1.32 m.该设计方法可用于对称、非对称螺线管线圈系统以及开放式双平面线圈系统的磁共振成像磁体系统设计.  相似文献

本文发展了开放式自屏蔽全身成像高场超导磁共振成像(MRI)磁体的优化设计方法,使设计出来的磁体仅有4 对超导线圈. 这种开放结构的超导MRI磁体优化设计方法集成了线性规划算法和遗传算法. 通过迭代线性规划算法可以在考虑成像区域(DSV)磁感应强度约束、磁场不均匀度约束、5 Gs线范围约束、线圈区域最大磁场值约束和最大环向应力约束的条件下,获得用线量最少的线圈初始形状和位置,同时可以得到每个线圈的层数和每层匝数;通过遗传算法可以提高DSV区域的磁场不均匀度,以达到高质量成像的要求. 这种集成的优化设计方法既可以灵活有效的设计开放式MRI磁体,也可以设计传统的圆柱形MRI磁体,本文通过一个1.2 T的开放式MRI磁体的设计清楚的展示了这种优化方法. 关键词: 线性规划算法 遗传算法 自屏蔽 开放式超导MRI磁体  相似文献

A globally optimal superconducting magnet coil design procedure based on the Minimum Stored Energy (MSE) current density map is outlined. The method has the ability to arrange coils in a manner that generates a strong and homogeneous axial magnetic field over a predefined region, and ensures the stray field external to the assembly and peak magnetic field at the wires are in acceptable ranges. The outlined strategy of allocating coils within a given domain suggests that coils should be placed around the perimeter of the domain with adjacent coils possessing alternating winding directions for optimum performance. The underlying current density maps from which the coils themselves are derived are unique, and optimized to possess minimal stored energy. Therefore, the method produces magnet designs with the lowest possible overall stored energy. Optimal coil layouts are provided for unshielded and shielded short bore symmetric superconducting magnets.  相似文献

The problem of optimization of the two-dimensional magnetic field distribution of a dipole magnet with a field of 4 T and aperture diameter of 100–110 mm for a fast cycling synchrotron is considered. A singlelayer winding with a small number of turns is made from a hollow NbTi superconducting cable with an operating current up to 30 kA. The mathematical method providing optimization of the higher harmonics amplitude of the magnetic field by varying the position of current windings is described. The results of calculation of two-dimensional magnetic fields of the superconducting magnet are given.  相似文献

针对聚变工程大型超导导体样品在高场下的性能测试需求,设计了内径0.6m、磁场13T的背景磁体系统。磁体系统由6层12个分离式超导线圈组成,线圈采用常规的螺线管结构,由外至内分别使用NbTi、Nb3Sn和YBCO三种超导材料绕制而成;在直径500mm的测试区域范围内产生最高达13.22T的背景磁场,均匀性不低于95%。介绍了磁体线圈主要设计参数,用有限元软件完成电磁、结构分析。结果表明,设计合理可靠,能够满足导体测试装置的需求。  相似文献

20 T以上强磁场在高场科学工程中有着不可替代的作用. 电工研究所正在研制一个25 T全超导磁体系统, 包括15 T背景磁场和10 T高温超导内插磁体. 在磁体的设计和优化中, 线圈的数量和种类对于最终优化结果十分关键. 为了研究磁体数量和磁体相关参数的关系, 计算了20 组不同的线圈组合下磁体的优化结果. 优化中除了考虑必要的限制条件以外, 还采用了一种结合局部优化算法和全局优化算法的方法. 通过对比分析发现, 线圈数量和磁体造价之间, 存在一个“V”形的关系. 更进一步地, 本文分析了不同超导体在磁体中应该贡献的最佳磁场, 以及背景磁体统一供电给优化结果带来的影响.  相似文献

The necessity of simulations in design of superconducting dipole magnets is due to the following circumstances. First, the critical current as a function of the magnetic field I c(B) for the multicore superconducting cable which drops strongly requires the knowledge of the value of maximum magnetic field “felt” by its coils for estimation of the working current of the magnet. Second, for choosing the optimal number of coils of the winding (1 or 2) and the working current of the magnet, the ratio of B max for the inner and outer layers of the dipole magnet winding should be known. Since usually the length of the dipole magnet exceeds many times its transverse size, in this work all calculations of B(x, y) are performed in the transverse plane crossing the center of the magnet. The field at the central point is chosen to be B(0, 0) = 2 T (this is the characteristic working value close to the maximum value in the dipole magnet of this type). In this work, the results of calculation of B(x, y) for single-and double-layered windings with 8 and 16 coils from circular hollow cable are presented.  相似文献

介绍了为兰州Penning离子阱项目专门设计的5T有源屏蔽式超导磁体。 为达到物理设计要求的场均匀度, 超导磁体有3层共计6个线包组成。 同时为了确保线圈绕制的定位精度和在强磁场下的稳定性, 绕制骨架采用三筒体结构, 模拟计算表明线圈的绝缘和固定结构能够达到强磁场下的电气和机械性能要求。 对5T有源屏蔽式超导磁体结构设计材料选择以及线圈的绕制工艺进行了详细的论述。 A 5T actively shielded superconducting magnet was designed for Lanzhou Penning Trap project. In order to achieve homogeneity of physical requirements, superconducting magnet was made up of six coils, which were wound on framework of three layers. Meanwhile, three framework structure can ensure the precision of coil winding and the mechanical stability under intense magnetic field. The results of simulation show that the insulation and fixed structure of the coil can satisfy the electrical and mechanical requirements under intense magnetic field. At last, properties of the used materials and coil fabrication have been presented.  相似文献
