Treatment of the salt [PPh4]+[Cp*W(S)3]? ( 6 ) with allyl bromide gave the neutral complex [Cp*W(S)2S‐CH2‐CH?CH2] ( 7 ). The product 7 was characterized by an X‐ray crystal structure analysis. Complex 7 features dynamic NMR spectra that indicate a rapid allyl automerization process. From the analysis of the temperature‐dependent NMR spectra a Gibbs activation energy of ΔG (278 K)≈13.7±0.1 kcal mol?1 was obtained [ΔH≈10.4±0.1 kcal mol?1; ΔS≈?11.4 cal mol?1 K?1]. The DFT calculation identified an energetically unfavorable four‐membered transition state of the “forbidden” reaction and a favorable six‐membered transition state of the “Cope‐type” allyl rearrangement process at this transition‐metal complex core.  相似文献

It has been confirmed by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopies that Sn(σ-C7H7)Ph3 undergoes either 1,4- or 1,5-shifts of the SnPh3 moiety around the cycloheptatrienyl ring with ΔH3 = 13.8 ± 0.4 kcal mol?1, ΔS3 = ?5.6 ± 1.2 cal mol?1 deg?1, and ΔG3300 = 15.44 ± 0.14 kcal mol?1. Similarly, (σ-5-cyclohepta-1,3-dienyl)triphenyltin undergoes 1,5-shifts with ΔH3 = 12.4 ± 0.6 kcal mol?1, ΔS3 = ?11.2 ± 1.8 cal mol?1 deg?1, and ΔG3300 = 15.76 ± 0.13 kcal mol?1. It is therefore probable that Sn(σ-5-C5H5)R3 and Sn(σ-3-indenyl)R3 do not undergo 1,2-shifts as previously suggested but really undergo 1,5-shifts.  相似文献

The rate constant of the primary decomposition step was determined for four symmetrical and four unsymmetrical azoalkanes. From the experimental activation energies and some literature enthalpy data, the following enthalpies of formation of radicals and group contributions were calculated: ΔH? (CH3N2) = 51.5 ± 1.8 kcal mol?1, ΔH? (C2H5N2) = 44.8 ± 2.5 kcal mol?1, ΔH? (2?C3H7N2) = 37.9 ± 2.2 kcal mol?1, [NA-(C)] = 27.6 ± 3.7 kcal mol?1, [NA-(?A) (C)] = 61.2 ± 3.1 kcal mol?1.  相似文献

Collisional activation decomposition (CAD) spectra are interpreted as indicating that formation of ˙CH2CH2CO+ (1) from ionized cyclopentanone, succinic anhydride arid butyrolactone is important at 70 eV electron energy. However, photoionization appearance energy measurements and CAD spectra demonstrate that CH3CH?C?O (3) is formed from ionized cyclopentanone near threshold. Ab initio molecular orbital calculations place ΔH f (1) about 36 kJ mol?1 above ΔH f (3).  相似文献

The ligand exchange MX5·L + *L?MX5·*L + L for the octahedral adducts MX5·L, in an inert solvent (CH2Cl2 or CHCl3) with neutral ligands, proceeds via a dissociative D mechanism when M = Nb, X = Cl and L = phosphoryl compound. A dissociative interchange Id mechanism is suggested when M = Nb or Ta, and X = F. A first order rate law and positive values for ΔS* (+4 to +14 cal K?1 mol?1) are observed for the exchanges on the pentachloride adducts. However, a second order rate law and large negative values for ΔS* (-15 to -24 cal K?1 mol?1) are found for the intermolecular neutral ligand exchange (measured by 1H-NMR.) and for the intramolecular fluorine exchange (measured by 19F-NMR.) reactions on the pentafluoride adducts. The fluorine exchange is 2 to 5 times faster than the ligand exchange. The exchanges, on the pentachloride and on the pentafluoride adducts, are slowed down with increasing donor strength of the phosphoryl compound.  相似文献

The [C4H6O] ion of structure [CH2?CHCH?CHOH] (a) is generated by loss of C4H8 from ionized 6,6-dimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-ol. The heat of formation ΔHf of [CH2?CHCH?CHOH] was estimated to be 736 kJ mol?1. The isomeric ion [CH2?C(OH)CH?CH2] (b) was shown to have ΔHf, ? 761 kJ mol?1, 54 kJ mol?1 less than that of its keto analogue [CH3COCH?CH2]. Ion [CH2?C(OH)CH?CH2] may be generated by loss of C2H4 from ionized hex-1-en-3-one or by loss of C4H8 from ionized 4,4-dimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-ol. The [C4H6O] ion generated by loss of C2H4 from ionized 2-cyclohexen-1-ol was shown to consist of a mixture of the above enol ions by comparing the metastable ion and collisional activation mass spectra of [CH2?CHCH?CHOH] and [CH2?C(OH)CH?CH2] ions with that of the above daughter ion. It is further concluded that prior to their major fragmentations by loss of CH3˙ and CO, [CH2?CHCH?CHOH]+˙ and [CH2?C(OH)CH?CH2] do not rearrange to their keto counterparts. The metastable ion and collisional activation characteristics of the isomeric allenic [C4H6O] ion [CH2?C?CHCH2OH] are also reported.  相似文献

  • were studied polarimetrically in aqueous buffer solution. The reaction rate is first order in OH? and in complex, in weakly acidic medium. Activation parameters are ΔH≠=22 kcal · mol?1, ΔS≠=26 cal · K?1. The results are discussed in terms of an SN1CB mechanism involving exchange of the ligand water molecule. The N-methylated analogue [Co(ME3A)H2O] does not racemize in the pH-range investigated. Loss of optical activity occurs at a rate which is about 1,000 times slower than the racemization of [Co(EN3A)H2O](60°) and coincides with the decomposition of the complex.  相似文献

The low‐energy negative ion phosphoTyr to C‐terminal ‐CO2PO3H2 rearrangement occurs for energised peptide [M–H] anions even when there are seven amino acid residues between the pTyr and C‐terminal amino acid residues. The rearranged C‐terminal ‐CO2PO2H(O) group effects characteristic SNi cyclisation/cleavage reactions. The most pronounced of these involves the electrophilic central backbone carbon of the penultimate amino acid residue. This reaction is aided by the intermediacy of an H‐bonded intermediate in which the nucleophilic and electrophilic reaction centres are held in proximity in order for the SNi cyclisation/cleavage to proceed. The ΔGreaction is +184 kJ mol?1 with the barrier to the SNi transition state being +240 kJ mol?1 at the HF/6‐31 + G(d)//AM1 level of theory. A similar phosphate rearrangement from pTyr to side chain CO2 (of Asp or Glu) may also occur for energised peptide [M–H] anions. The reaction is favourable: ΔGreaction is ?44 kJ mol?1 with a maximum barrier of +21 kJ mol?1 (to the initial transition state) when Asp and Tyr are adjacent. The rearranged species R1‐Tyr‐NHCH(CH2CO2PO3H)COR2 (R1 = CHO; R2 = OCH3) may undergo an SNi six‐centred cyclisation/cleavage reaction to form the product anion R1‐Tyr(NH). This process has a high energy requirement [ΔGreaction = +224 kJ mol?1, with the barrier to the SNi transition state being +299 kJ mol?1]. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

At room temperature and below, the proton NMR spectrum of N-(trideuteriomethyl)-2-cyanoaziridine consists of two superimposed ABC patterns assignable to two N-invertomers; a single time-averaged ABC pattern is observed at 158.9°C. The static parameters extracted from the spectra in the temperature range from –40.3 to 23.2°C and from the high-temperature spectrum permit the calculation of the thermodynamic quantities ΔH0 = ?475±20 cal mol?1 (?1.987 ± 0.084 kJ mol?1) and ΔS0 = 0.43±0.08 cal mol?1 K?1 (1.80±0.33 J mol?1 K?1) for the cis ? trans equilibrium. Bandshape analysis of the spectra broadened by non-mutual three-spin exchange in the temperature range from 39.4–137.8°C yields the activation parameters ΔHtc = 17.52±0.18 kcal mol?1 (73.30±0.75 kJ mol?1), ΔStc = ?2.08±0.50 cal mol?1 K?1 (?8.70±2.09 J mol?1 K?1) and ΔGtc (300 K) = 18.14±0.03 kcal mol?1 (75.90±0.13 kJ mol?1) for the transcis isomerization. An attempt is made to rationalize the observed entropy data in terms of the principles of statistical thermodynamics.  相似文献

The spontaneous self‐assembly of a neutral circular trinuclear TiIV‐based helicate is described through the reaction of titanium(IV) isopropoxide with a rationally designed tetraphenolic ligand. The trimeric ring helicate was obtained after diffusion of n‐pentane into a solution with dichloromethane. The circular helicate has been characterized by using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction study, 13C CP‐MAS NMR and 1H NMR DOSY solution spectroscopic, and positive electrospray ionization mass‐spectrometric analysis. These analytical data were compared with those obtained from a previously reported double‐stranded helicate that crystallizes in toluene. The trimeric ring was unstable in a pure solution with dichloromethane and transformed into the double‐stranded helicate. Thermodynamic analysis by means of the PACHA software revealed that formation of the double‐stranded helicates was characterized by ΔH(toluene)=?30 kJ mol?1 and ΔS(toluene)=+357 J K?1 mol?1, whereas these values were ΔH(CH2Cl2)=?75 kJ mol?1 and ΔS(CH2Cl2)=?37 J K?1 mol?1 for the ring helicate. The transformation of the ring helicate into the double‐stranded helicate was a strongly endothermic process characterized by ΔH(CH2Cl2)=+127 kJ mol?1 and ΔH(n‐pentane)=+644 kJ mol?1 associated with a large positive entropy change ΔS=+1115 J K?1?mol?1. Consequently, the instability of the ring helicate in pure dichloromethane was attributed to the rather high dielectric constant and dipole moment of dichloromethane relative to n‐pentane. Suggestions for increasing the stability of the ring helicate are given.  相似文献

The relative energies of 11 [C3H3O]+ ions are calculated by different molecular orbital methods (MINDO/3, MNDO, ab initio with 3-21G and 4-31G* basis set and configuration interaction). The four most stable structures are: a ([CH2?CH? CO]+), b c ([CH?C? CHOH]+) and d ([CH2?C?COH]+); their relative energies at the CI/4-31G*//3-21G level are 0, 117, 171 and 218 kJ mol?1, respectively. The isomerizations c→[CH?CH? CHO]+→[CH2?C? CHO]+a and dissociations into [C2H3]++CO and [HCO]++C2H2 are explored. The calculated potential energy profile reveals that the energy-determining step is the 1,3-H migration c→[CH?CH? CHO]+. This explains the value of unity of the branching ratio and the spread of kinetic energy released for the two dissociation channels.  相似文献

The C-2—N bond of 2-N,N-dimethylaminopyrylium cations has a partial π character due to the conjugation of the nitrogen lone-pair with the ring. The values of ΔG, ΔH, ΔS parameters related to the corresponding hindered rotation have been determined by 13C NMR total bandshape analysis. This conjugation decreases the electrophilic character of carbon C-4 so that the displacement of the alkoxy group is no longer possible. Such a hindered rotation also exists in 4-N,N-dimethylaminopyrylium cations and the corresponding ΔG parameters have been evaluated. Comparison of these two cationic species shows that hindered rotation around the C—N bond is larger in position 4 than in position 2. Furthermore, the barrier to internal rotation around the C-2? N bond decreases with increasing electron donating power of the substituent at position 4. ΔG values decreases from 19.1 kcal mol?1 (79.9 kJ mol?1) to 12.6 kcal mol?1 (52.7 kJ mol?1) according to the following sequence for the R-4 substituents: -C6H5, -CH3, -OCH3, -N(CH3)2.  相似文献

[RuCl2(NCCH3)2(cod)], an alternative starting material to [RuCl2(cod)] n for the preparation of ruthenium(II) complexes, has been prepared from the polymer compound and isolated in yields up to 87% using a new work-up procedure. The compound has been obtained as a yellow solid without water of crystallization. The complexes [RuCl2(NCR)2(cod)] spontaneously transform into dimers [Ru2Cl(μ-Cl)3(cod)2(NCR)] (R?=?Me, Ph). 1H NMR kinetic experiments for these transformations evidenced first-order behavior. [RuCl2(NCPh)2(cod)] dimerizes slower by a factor of ten than [RuCl2(NCCH3)2(cod)]. The following activation parameters, ΔH #?=?114?±?3?kJ?mol?1 and ΔS #?=?66?±?9?J?K?1?mol?1 for R?=?CH3CN (ΔG #?=?94?±?5?kJ?mol?1, 298.15?K) and ΔH #?=?122?±?2?kJ?mol?1 and ΔS #?=?75?±?6?J?K?1?mol?1 for R?=?Ph (ΔG #?=?100?±?4?kJ?mol?1, 298.15?K), have been calculated from the first-order rate constants in the temperature range 294–323?K. The kinetic parameters are in agreement with a two-step mechanism with dissociation of acetonitrile as the rate-determining step. The molecular structures of [Ru2Cl(μ-Cl)3(cod)2(NCR)] (R?=?Me, Ph) have been determined by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

    Vanadium(II) ions form with the pyridine-2-carboxylate ligand a deep blue, tris-substituted complex absorbing at 660 nm (ε = 7.2 × 103 M?1) cm?1) with a shoulder at 450 nm. Reversible spectroelectrochemistry and cyclic voltammetry were observed for this complex, with E12 = ?0.448 V vs NHE, and ΔSrcθ = ?6 cal · mol?1 · deg?1. Electron transfer kinetics with [CO(en)3]3+ led to k12 = 3100 M?1 s?, ΔH = 12.4 kcal · mol?1 and ΔS = ?0.9 cal · mol?1 · deg?1 (I = 0.10 M). For the related [Co(NH3)6]3+ complex, k13 = 1.9 × 104 M?1 s?1. The self-exchange rate constant and activation parameters were analysed in terms of relative Marcus theory.  相似文献

    The heat of formation of benzophenone oxide, Ph2CO2, was measured using photoacoustic calorimetry. The enthalpy of the reaction Ph2CN2 + O2 → Ph2CO2 + N2 was found to be ?48.0 ±0.8 kcal mol?1 and ΔHf(Ph2CN2) was determined by measuring the reaction enthalpy for Ph2CN2 + EtOH → Ph2CHOEt + N2 (?53.6 ±1.0 kcal mol?1). Taking ΔHf(PhCHOEt) = ?10.6 kcal mol?1 led to ΔHf(Ph2CN2) = 99.2 ± 1.5 kcal mol?1 and hence to ΔHf(Ph2CO2) = 51.1 ± 2.0 kcal mol?1. The results imply that the self-reaction of benzophenone oxide i.e., 2Ph2CO2 → 2Ph2CO + O2 is exothermic by ?76.0 ±4.0 kcal mol?1.  相似文献

We report that 2,6‐lutidine?trichloroborane (Lut?BCl3) reacts with H2 in toluene, bromobenzene, dichloromethane, and Lut solvents producing the neutral hydride, Lut?BHCl2. The mechanism was modeled with density functional theory, and energies of stationary states were calculated at the G3(MP2)B3 level of theory. Lut?BCl3 was calculated to react with H2 and form the ion pair, [LutH+][HBCl3?], with a barrier of ΔH=24.7 kcal mol?1G=29.8 kcal mol?1). Metathesis with a second molecule of Lut?BCl3 produced Lut?BHCl2 and [LutH+][BCl4?]. The overall reaction is exothermic by 6.0 kcal mol?1rG°=?1.1). Alternate pathways were explored involving the borenium cation (LutBCl2+) and the four‐membered boracycle [(CH2{NC5H3Me})BCl2]. Barriers for addition of H2 across the Lut/LutBCl2+ pair and the boracycle B?C bond are substantially higher (ΔG=42.1 and 49.4 kcal mol?1, respectively), such that these pathways are excluded. The barrier for addition of H2 to the boracycle B?N bond is comparable (ΔH=28.5 and ΔG=32 kcal mol?1). Conversion of the intermediate 2‐(BHCl2CH2)‐6‐Me(C5H3NH) to Lut?BHCl2 may occur by intermolecular steps involving proton/hydride transfers to Lut/BCl3. Intramolecular protodeboronation, which could form Lut?BHCl2 directly, is prohibited by a high barrier (ΔH=52, ΔG=51 kcal mol?1).  相似文献

    The kinetics of the interactions between three sulfur‐containing ligands, thioglycolic acid, 2‐thiouracil, glutathione, and the title complex, have been studied spectrophotometrically in aqueous medium as a function of the concentrations of the ligands, temperature, and pH at constant ionic strength. The reactions follow a two‐step process in which the first step is ligand‐dependent and the second step is ligand‐independent chelation. Rate constants (k1 ~10?3 s?1 and k2 ~10?5 s?1) and activation parameters (for thioglycolic acid: ΔH1 = 22.4 ± 3.0 kJ mol?1, ΔS1 = ?220 ± 11 J K?1 mol?1, ΔH2 = 38.5 ± 1.3 kJ mol?1, ΔS2 = ?204 ± 4 J K?1 mol?1; for 2‐thiouracil: ΔH1 = 42.2 ± 2.0 kJ mol?1, ΔS1 = ?169 ± 6 J K?1 mol?1, ΔH2 = 66.1 ± 0.5 kJ mol?1, ΔS2 = ?124 ± 2 J K?1 mol?1; for glutathione: ΔH1 = 47.2 ± 1.7 kJ mol?1, ΔS1 = ?155 ± 5 J K?1mol?1, ΔH2 = 73.5 ± 1.1 kJ mol?1, ΔS2 = ?105 ± 3 J K?1 mol?1) were calculated. Based on the kinetic and activation parameters, an associative interchange mechanism is proposed for the interaction processes. The products of the reactions have been characterized from IR and ESI mass spectroscopic analysis. A rate law involving the outer sphere association complex formation has been established as   相似文献
