Mononuclear and coordination polymer compounds of 2,2′-dimethyl-4,4′-bithiazole (dm4bt) ligand have been prepared by metallation of dm4bt with Cd(NO3)2 · 4H2O and CdCl2 · H2O. The compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, UV–Vis spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography. The structural study of [Cd(dm4bt)2(NO3)2] · H2O (1) shows that the complex is a monomeric seven-coordinate (CdN4O3) cadmium(II)-bithiazole system with two bidentate dm4bt and mono and bidentate nitrates. The structure of [Cd(dm4bt)Cl2] n (2) is a distorted octahedral environment around the cadmium(II) (CdN2Cl4) forming a 1-D coordination polymer as a result of bridging by two chlorides and 2-D structure from π–π stacking interactions.  相似文献

The two water-soluble designed palladium(II) complexes, [Pd(bpy)(pip-Ac)]NO3 and [Pd(bpy)(mor-Ac)]NO3, (where bpy is 2,2′-bipyridine, pip-Ac is 1-piperidineacetato and mor-Ac is 4-morpholineacetato) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivity measurements and spectroscopic methods (FT-IR, 1H NMR, UV–Vis). The complexes have been tested for in vitro cytotoxic activity against human breast cancer cell line, T47D. The binding of these complexes with DNA has been investigated by absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence titration spectra, EB displacement and gel chromatography. The results suggest that the complexes can bind to DNA cooperatively through a static mechanism at low concentrations (~0.57 μM). The thermodynamic parameters indicated that the van der Waals and hydrogen binding might play a major role in the interaction of these complexes with DNA.  相似文献

Five new platinum(II) complexes (15) with 4-toluenesulfonyl-L-amino acid dianion and 2,2′-bipyridine (bipy) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and mass spectra. The crystal structure of 1 has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Cytotoxicity was tested by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) and sulforhodamine B (SRB) assays. The results indicate that 15 exert cytotoxic effects with selectivity against tested carcinoma cell lines; 5 displays better cytotoxicity against BGC-823, Bel-7402, and KB cell lines, while 1 has better cytotoxicity against KB cell line. The 4-toluenesulfonyl- L-amino acid dianions have important effects on cytotoxicity; when 4-toluenesulfonyl-L-amino acid dianions are 4-toluenesulfonyl-L-glycine and 4-toluenesulfonyl-L-phenylalanine, the complexes show better cytotoxicity.  相似文献

Mercury(II) complexes, {[Hg(Ph2phen)(μ-Br)]2Br2} · CH3CN (1) and {[Hg(dmbpy)(µ-Br)]2Br2}(2) (where Ph2phen is 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline and dmbpy is 5,5′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine), were synthesized from reaction of HgBr2 with Ph2phen and dmbpy in CH3CN and CH3OH. Both complexes were thoroughly characterized by elemental analysis, infrared, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complexes 1 and 2 crystallize in the space group P21/n of the monoclinic and P 1 of the triclinic systems and contain four and one molecules per unit cell, respectively. The unit cell dimensions for 1 are: a = 20.422(4) Å, b = 11.384(2) Å, c = 20.665(4) Å, and β = 109.94(3)° and for 2 are: a = 8.7470(17) Å, b = 8.8328(18) Å, c = 9.4950(19) Å and α = 75.47(3)°, β = 82.21(3)°, γ = 85.56(3)°. According to X-ray structure determination both complexes are five coordinate with three bromides and one bidentate ligand; one bromide is set at a semi-bridging position.  相似文献

Two new complexes {[Tb(2-IBA)3 · 2,2′-bipy]2 · C2H5OH} (1) and [Tb(2-ClBA)3 · 2,2′-bipy]2 (2) (2-IBA = 2-iodobenzoate; 2-ClBA = 2-chlorobenzoate; 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine) were prepared and their crystal structures determined by X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 is composed of two types of binuclear molecules, [Tb(2-IBA)3 · 2,2′-bipy]2 (a) and [Tb(2-IBA)3 · 2,2′-bipy]2 (b), and an uncoordinated ethanol molecule. In molecule (a), two Tb3+ ions are linked by four 2-IBA groups, all bidentate-bridging. In molecule (b), two Tb3+ ions are held together by four 2-IBA groups in two coordination modes, bidentate-bridging and chelating-bridging. In the two molecules, each Tb3+ ion is further bonded to one chelating 2-IBA group and one chelating 2,2′-bipy molecule, resulting in coordination numbers of eight for (a) and nine for (b). The structural characteristics of 2 are similar to that of molecule (b) in 1. The two complexes, 1 and 2, both emit strong green fluorescence under ultraviolet light with the 5D47F j (j = 6–3) emission of Tb3+ ion observed.  相似文献

Two new Ruthenium (II) polypyridyl complexes [Ru(dmp)2(ipbp)](ClO4)2 (1) (dmp = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline, ipbp = 3-(1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthrolin-2-yl)-4H-1-banzopyran-2-one) and [Ru(dmb)2(ipbp)](ClO4)2 (2) (dmb = 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FAB-MS, ES-MS and 1H NMR and cyclic voltammetric methods. The DNA-binding behaviors of these complexes were investigated by spectroscopic titration, viscosity measurements, and thermal denaturation. Absorption titration and thermal denaturation studies reveal that these complexes are moderately strong binders of calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA). Viscosity measurements show that the complexes 1 and 2 interact with CT-DNA by intercalative mode. The DNA-binding affinity of the complex 2 is larger than that of complex 1.  相似文献

Complexes of Cd(II) with diallyldithiocarbamato (hereafter denoted aldtc) and 2,2′-bipyridine (bipy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) are discussed. Derivatives of general formula [Cd(aldtc)2(NN)] [NN = bipy, 1 and phen, 2] have been obtained by direct reaction between Cd(NO3)2 and a 2 : 1 molar ratio of aldtc and NN. The new complexes have been characterized by IR, 1H, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Their single crystal structures were also determined. Compounds 1 and 2 have severely distorted octahedral coordination around cadmium, defined by an N2S4 donor set. The structure of 1 is isomorphous with the recently reported zinc analogue. The crystal packing of 1 shows different non-classical intermolecular interactions represented in both hydrophilic (π)C–H ··· S and hydrophobic (allyl)C–H ··· C(π) intermolecular interactions. Such interactions result in a chain arrangement of molecules along the crystallographic c-axis. These chains are further connected via π ··· π stacking along with (π)C–H ··· S parallel to b leading to an overall crystal packing that can be regarded as layers of complexes along the bc plane. Molecules in the crystal structure of 2 are arranged into infinite chains, down the b-axis, that are connected by aryl ··· aryl stacking. The chains are further connected to each other in a and c directions via (allyl)C–H ··· S interactions.  相似文献

By the interaction between (Et4N)2[Mo2O2S8] and I2 in DMF with a subsequent addition of 2,2′-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline, new binuclear complexes [Mo2O2S2I2(bipy)2] (1) and [Mo2O2S2I2(phen)2] (2) are obtained. The structure of [Mo2O2S2I2(bipy)2] is determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction. The compounds are characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectra. The [MoO(S2)2(bipy)] complex as a product of oxidative destruction of 1 is isolated and characterized.  相似文献

Oxorhenium(V) complexes of β-diketonate systems have been synthesized and isolated in pure form. The red complexes n-Bu4N[ReO(R1COCHCOR2)Cl3] (acac, R1=R2=CH3; bzac, R1=CH3 and R2=C6H5; bzbz, R1=R2=C6H5) have been characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic and other physico-chemical tools. One complex, n-Bu4N[ReO(bzbz)Cl3] (1c) has been subjected to single-crystal X-ray analysis. In the structure of the anion, the metal has a six-coordinate octahedral environment in which the bidentate β-diketone ligand is cis and trans to the terminal oxygen.  相似文献

Two novel binuclear metal-organic coordination complexes [M2(Zaltoprofen)2(Bipy)2] [M = Cd (I), Zn (II); Zaltoprofen = 5-(1-carboxyethyl)-2-(phenylthio)phenylacetic acid, Bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR and electronic spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, and fluorescent properties. Complexes I, II crystallize isomorphously in the monoclinic space group P21/c. Structural analysis shows that the M(II) atom of I and II is coordinated with four oxygen atoms from the carboxyl group of the Zaltoprofen together with two nitrogen atoms from the Bipy. The 3D structures of the complexes are stabilized by π-π stacking interactions.  相似文献

Four platinum(IV) complexes containing intercalating ligands [1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy)] and ancillary ligands [(1S,2S)-diaminocyclohexane (SS-DACH) and (1R,2R)-diaminocyclohexane (RR-DACH)] were synthesized and characterized by 1H nuclear magnetic resonance, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, X-ray crystal structure analysis, elemental analysis, ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy, circular dichroism spectroscopy, and electrochemical analysis. The reactions between [Pt(phen)(SS-DACH)Cl2]2+ and glutathione and Ac-CPFC-NH2 were investigated by high-performance liquid chromatography. [Pt(phen)(SS-DACH)Cl2]2+ was reduced to its corresponding Pt(II) complex [Pt(phen)(SS-DACH)]2+, while glutathione and Ac-CPFC-NH2 were oxidized to glutathione-disulfide and a peptide containing an intramolecular disulfide bond, respectively. The cytotoxicities of the Pt(IV) complexes against a human non-small cell lung cancer cell line (A549) and the corresponding cisplatin-resistant cell line (A549cisR) were evaluated. These Pt(IV) complexes showed a higher activity toward A549 and A549cisR than did cisplatin. Also, the cytotoxicities of the Pt(IV) complexes were higher for A549cisR than for A549 cells. Moreover, the cytotoxicities of the (SS-DACH)-liganded platinum complexes were higher than those of the (RR-DACH)-liganded platinum complexes in either A549 or A549cisR cells. Phen-liganded platinum complexes were more cytotoxic than the bpy-liganded platinum complexes. The cytotoxicities of these Pt(IV) complexes had no correlation with reduction potentials.  相似文献

[Fe(dmbipy)Cl4][dmbipyH], 1 (dmbipy is 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine), was prepared from reaction of FeCl3 · 6H2O with 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine in 0.1 molar aqueous HCl. Treatment of 1 with dimethyl sulfoxide in methanol produced [Fe(dmbipy)Cl3(DMSO)], 2 (DMSO is dimethyl sulfoxide). Both complexes were characterized by IR, UV-vis, and 1H-NMR spectroscopies and their structures were studied by single crystal diffraction. Compounds 1 and 2 are high-spin with spin multiplicity of six.  相似文献

Reaction of [Pt(bipy)Cl2] (bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine) with an excess of silver triflate in refluxing acetonitrile readily affords [Pt(bipy)(MeCN)2](CF3SO3)2 as a yellow, crystalline solid. A single crystal X-ray diffraction study shows that the cations are arranged in a zig-zag manner in rows parallel to the b axis of the monoclinic unit cell. Consideration of the crystal structures of related bipyridyl ligand complexes of platinum(II), leads to the conclusion that a stacked structure with intermolecular Pt…Pt interactions for the title compound is prevented by the electrostatic repulsion between adjacent cations that are doubly charged.  相似文献

Three heterotopic ligands L1, L2, and L3 have been prepared by the reaction of 4,4′-bis(bromomethyl)-2,2′-bipyridine with 4,5-diazafluoren-9-oxime, 9-(2-hydroxy)phenylimino-4,5-diazafluorene, and 9-(4-hydroxy)phenylimino-4,5-diazafluorene, respectively, in DMF. The three ligands consist of two 4,5-diazafluorene units and one 2,2′-bipyridine unit. Ru(II) complexes [{Ru(bpy)2}33-L1?3)](PF6)6 (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) were prepared by refluxing Ru(bpy)2Cl2·2H2O and the ligands in 2-methoxyethanol. The three Ru(II) complexes display metal-to-ligand charge-transfer absorption at 445–450 nm and one Ru(II)-centered oxidation at 1.32 V in CH3CN solution at room temperature. Upon excitation into the metal-to-ligand charge-transfer band, the emission intensities of [{Ru(bpy)2}33-L2)]6+ and [{Ru(bpy)2}33-L3)]6+ are almost equal to that of [{Ru(bpy)2}33-L1)]6+ in CH3CN solution at room temperature, but weaker than that of [{Ru(bpy)2}33-L1)]6+ in EtOH–MeOH (4?:?1, v/v) glassy matrix at 77 K.  相似文献

[Ni(5,5′-dmbipy)2Cl2]·3H2O (1) complex was obtained from the reaction of NiCl2·6H2O with 5,5′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine (5,5′-dmbipy) in a mixture of CH3OH/CH3CN. This complex was characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis and luminescence spectroscopy, and its structure was determined by the single-crystal diffraction method. The Ni atom has a distorted octahedral coordination by four N atoms from two 5,5′-dmbipy ligands and two Cl anions.  相似文献

Three new CoIII complexes: [Co(bpy)2(pdtb)]3+ (1), [Co(bpy)2(pdta)]3+ (2) and [Co(bpy)2(pdtp)]3+ (3) have been synthesized and characterized. The DNA binding behavior of the CoIII complexes has been investigated by spectroscopic methods and viscosity measurements. The results indicate that the size and shape of the intercalated ligand have a marked effect on the binding affinity of complexes involving CT-DNA. Complexes (2) and (3) have been found to promote cleavage of plasmid pBR 322 DNA from the supercoiled form I to the open circular form II upon irradiation. Photocleavage mechanisms are proposed.  相似文献

Three heterotopic ligands L1, L2, and L3 based on 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,2′-bipyridine moieties have been synthesized and characterized. The Ru(II) complexes [{Ru(bpy)2}33-L1)](PF6)6, [{Ru(bpy)2}33-L2)](PF6)6, and [{Ru(bpy)2}22-L3)](PF6)4 (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) have been prepared by refluxing Ru(bpy)2Cl2·2H2O with each ligand in ethanol. All three complexes display MLCT absorptions at around 455 nm and emissions at around 618 nm. Electrochemical studies of the complexes reveal one Ru(II)-centered quasi-reversible oxidation at around 1.32 V and three ligand-centered reductions in each case.  相似文献

Two new μ-oxalato binuclear copper(II) complexes, [{Cu(NO3)(H2O)(bipy)}2(ox)] (1) and [{Cu(dien)}2(ox)](NO3)2 (2), with ox=oxalate, dien=diethylenetriamine and bipy=2,2′-bipyridine, have been synthesized and their crystal and molecular structures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The crystal structure of 1 consists of centrosymmetric neutral dimers where the copper atoms lie in a strongly elongated octahedral environment, surrounded by two nitrogen atoms of a bipy molecule and two oxygen atoms of the bridging oxalato group in the equatorial plane and oxygen atoms of water molecules and nitrate ions in the axial positions. Crystal structure of 2 is made up of non-coordinated nitrate anions and asymmetric binuclear cations in which copper atoms are in a distorted square–pyramidal coordination with three atoms of a diethylenetriamine ligand and an oxygen atom of the asymmetrically coordinated oxalato bridge building the basal plane and the other oxygen atom of the oxalato ligand filling the apical position. Both compounds have been also characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopies, thermal analysis and variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. The two compounds exhibit antiferromagnetic exchange with a singlet–triplet separation of −382 and −6.5 cm−1 for 1 and 2, respectively. Magnetic and ESR results are discussed with respect to the crystal structure of the compounds.  相似文献
