The paper is aimed at the problem of lifting automorphisms and derivations of a perfect conformal Lie superalgebra to its central extension. Such lifting is possible with the help of a universal central extension whose tensor model is constructed here for this purpose. __________ Translated from Trudy Seminara imeni I. G. In the year 1994, Gupta (Approx Theory Appl (N.S.) 10(3):74–78, 1994) introduced the integral modification of well known Baskakov operators with weights of Beta basis functions and obtained better approximation over the usual Baskakov Durrmeyer operators. The rate of convergence for Bézier variant of these operators for functions of bounded variations were discussed in Gupta (Int J Math Math Sci 32(8):471–479, 2002). The present paper is the extension of the previous work, here we consider the Bézier variant of Baskakov-Beta-Stancu operators. We estimate the rate of convergence of these operators for the bounded functions. In the end of the paper we suggest an open problem.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss an abstract iteration scheme for the calculation of the smallest eigenvalue of an elliptic operator eigenvalue problem. A short and geometric proof based on the preconditioned inverse iteration (PINVIT) for matrices (Knyazev and Neymeyr, SIAM J Matrix Anal 31:621–628, 2009) is extended to the case of operators. We show that convergence is retained up to any tolerance if one only uses approximate applications of operators which leads to the perturbed preconditioned inverse iteration (PPINVIT). We then analyze the Besov regularity of the eigenfunctions of the Poisson eigenvalue problem on a polygonal domain, showing the advantage of an adaptive solver to uniform refinement when using a stable wavelet base. A numerical example for PPINVIT, applied to the model problem on the L-shaped domain, is shown to reproduce the predicted behaviour.  相似文献

We construct an n-dimensional polytope whose boundary complex is compressed and whose face numbers for any pulling triangulation are the coefficients of the powers of (x−1)/2 in the nth Legendre polynomial. We show that the non-central Delannoy numbers count all faces in the lexicographic pulling triangulation that contain a point in a given open generalized orthant. We thus provide a geometric interpretation of a relation between the central Delannoy numbers and Legendre polynomials, observed over 50 years ago (Good in Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 54:39–42, 1958; Lawden in Math. Gaz. 36:193–196, 1952; Moser and Zayachkowski in Scr. Math. 26:223–229, 1963). The polytopes we construct are closely related to the root polytopes introduced by Gelfand et al. (Arnold–Gelfand mathematical seminars: geometry and singularity theory, pp. 205–221. Birkhauser, Boston, 1996).  相似文献

We develop an interior-point polynomial-time algorithm for a generalized linear-fractional problem. The latter problem can be regarded as a nonpolyhedral extension of the usual linear-fractional programming; typical example (which is of interest for control theory) is the minimization of the generalized eigenvalue of a pair of symmetric matrices linearly depending on the decision variables.  相似文献

A new function model for an arbitrary bounded operator on a Hilbert space is constructed. This model generalizes the model of Sz.-Nagy and Foiaş for contractions and seems to be useful for operators close to an isometry (in a sense). All the model spaces are Hilbert spaces, but instead of dilation a generalization of it is used. The model admits a symmetry with respect to the map z→1/z of the complex plane. In terms of the model the question of lifting the commutant is investigated, a relationship between invariant subspaces of a unitary operator is established, and the characteristic function of the model operator is calculated. Some other problems are solved as well. Bibliography: 8 titles. Translated fromZapiski Nauchnykh Seminarov POMI, Vol. 201, 1992, pp. 95–116. Translated by V. Vasyunin.  相似文献

The unitary equivalence of total and free Hamiltonians for the N-particle quantum lattice system with a small coupling constant is proved. This result is obtained by means of the mathematical theory of scattering. The existence and asymptotic completeness of the wave operators is proved. A special representation for the exponent of the Hamiltonian is constructed.Translated from Teoreticheskaya i Matematicheskaya Fizika, Vol. 107, No. 1, pp. 75–85, April, 1996.Translated by V. I. In this paper we consider basis function methods for solving the problem of interpolating data over distinct points on the unit circle. In the special case where the points are equally spaced we can appeal to the theory of circulant matrices which enables an investigation into the stability and accuracy of the method. This work is a further extension and application of the research of Cheney, Light and Xu ([W.A. Light and E.W. Cheney, J. Math. Anal. Appl., 168:110–130, 1992] and [Y. Xu and E.W. Cheney, Computers Math. Applic., 24:201–215, 1992]) from the early nineties.  相似文献

We establish sharp L 2-Sobolev estimates for classes of pseudodifferential operators with singular symbols [Guillemin and Uhlmann (Duke Math J 48:251–267, 1981), Melrose and Uhlmann (Commun Pure Appl Math 32:483–519, 1979)] whose non-pseudodifferential (Fourier integral operator) parts exhibit two-sided fold singularities. The operators considered include both singular integral operators along curves in \mathbb R2{\mathbb R^2} with simple inflection points and normal operators arising in linearized seismic imaging in the presence of fold caustics [Felea (Comm PDE 30:1717–1740, 2005), Felea and Greenleaf (Comm PDE 33:45–77, 2008), Nolan (SIAM J Appl Math 61:659–672, 2000)].  相似文献

Complex B-splines as introduced in Forster et al. (Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 20:281–282, 2006) are an extension of Schoenberg’s cardinal splines to include complex orders. We exhibit relationships between these complex B-splines and the complex analogues of the classical difference and divided difference operators and prove a generalization of the Hermite–Genocchi formula. This generalized Hermite–Genocchi formula then gives rise to a more general class of complex B-splines that allows for some interesting stochastic interpretations.   相似文献

An important problem in topological dynamics is the calculation of the universal minimal flow of a topological group. When the universal minimal flow is one point, we say that the group is extremely amenable. For the automorphism group of Fra?ssé structures, this problem has been translated into a question about the Ramsey and ordering properties of certain classes of finite structures by Kechris et al. (Geom Funct Anal 15:106–189, 2005). Using the Schmerl list (Schmerl, Algebra Univers 9:317–321, 1979) of Fra?ssé posets, we consider classes of finite posets with arbitrary linear orderings and linear orderings that are linear extensions of the partial ordering. We provide classification of each of these classes according to their Ramsey and ordering properties. Additionally, we extend the list of extremely amenable groups as well as the list of metrizable universal minimal flows.  相似文献

A recent paper of Arnold, Falk, and Winther (Bull. Am. Math. Soc. 47:281–354, 2010) showed that a large class of mixed finite element methods can be formulated naturally on Hilbert complexes, where using a Galerkin-like approach, one solves a variational problem on a finite-dimensional subcomplex. In a seemingly unrelated research direction, Dziuk (Lecture Notes in Math., vol. 1357, pp. 142–155, 1988) analyzed a class of nodal finite elements for the Laplace–Beltrami equation on smooth 2-surfaces approximated by a piecewise-linear triangulation; Demlow later extended this analysis (SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 47:805–827, 2009) to 3-surfaces, as well as to higher-order surface approximation. In this article, we bring these lines of research together, first developing a framework for the analysis of variational crimes in abstract Hilbert complexes, and then applying this abstract framework to the setting of finite element exterior calculus on hypersurfaces. Our framework extends the work of Arnold, Falk, and Winther to problems that violate their subcomplex assumption, allowing for the extension of finite element exterior calculus to approximate domains, most notably the Hodge–de Rham complex on approximate manifolds. As an application of the latter, we recover Dziuk’s and Demlow’s a priori estimates for 2- and 3-surfaces, demonstrating that surface finite element methods can be analyzed completely within this abstract framework. Moreover, our results generalize these earlier estimates dramatically, extending them from nodal finite elements for Laplace–Beltrami to mixed finite elements for the Hodge Laplacian, and from 2- and 3-dimensional hypersurfaces to those of arbitrary dimension. By developing this analytical framework using a combination of general tools from differential geometry and functional analysis, we are led to a more geometric analysis of surface finite element methods, whereby the main results become more transparent.  相似文献

It has been shown by Nistor (Doc Math J DMV 2:263–295, 1997) that given any extension of associative algebras over \mathbb C{\mathbb C}, the connecting morphism in periodic cyclic homology is compatible, under the Chern–Connes character, with the index morphism in lower algebraic K-theory. The proof relies on the abstract properties of cyclic theory, essentially excision, which does not provide explicit formulas a priori. Avoiding the use of excision, we explain in this article how to get explicit formulas in a wide range of situations. The method is connected to the renormalization procedure introduced in our previous work on the bivariant Chern character for quasihomomorphisms Perrot (J Geom Phys 60:1441–1473, 2010), leading to “local” index formulas in the sense of non-commutative geometry. We illustrate these principles with the example of the classical family index theorem: we find that the characteristic numbers of the index bundle associated to a family of elliptic pseudodifferential operators are expressed in terms of the (fiberwise) Wodzicki residue.  相似文献

In this article we carry on the study of the fundamental category (Goubault and Raussen, Dihomotopy as a tool in state space analysis. In: Rajsbaum, S. (ed.) LATIN 2002: Theoretical Informatics. Lecture Notes in Computer Science, vol. 2286, Cancun, Mexico, pp. 16–37, Springer, Berlin Heidelberg New York, 2002; Goubault, Homology, Homotopy Appl., 5(2): 95–136, 2003) of a partially ordered topological space (Nachbin, Topology and Order, Van Nostrand, Princeton, 1965; Johnstone, Stone Spaces, Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, MA, 1982), as arising in e.g. concurrency theory (Fajstrup et al., Theor. Comp. Sci. 357: 241–278, 2006), initiated in (Fajstrup et al., APCS, 12(1): 81–108, 2004). The “algebra” of dipaths modulo dihomotopy (the fundamental category) of such a po-space is essentially finite in a number of situations. We give new definitions of the component category that are more tractable than the one of Fajstrup et al. (APCS, 12(1): 81–108, 2004), as well as give definitions of future and past component categories, related to the past and future models of Grandis (Theory Appl. Categ., 15(4): 95–146, 2005). The component category is defined as a category of fractions, but it can be shown to be equivalent to a quotient category, much easier to portray. A van Kampen theorem is known to be available on fundamental categories (Grandis, Cahiers Topologie Géom. Différentielle Catég., 44: 281–316, 2003; Goubault, Homology, Homotopy Appl., 5(2): 95–136, 2003), we show in this paper a similar theorem for component categories (conjectured in Fajstrup et al. (APCS, 12(1): 81–108, 2004). This proves useful for inductively computing the component category in some circumstances, for instance, in the case of simple PV mutual exclusion models (Goubault and Haucourt, A practical application of geometric semantics to static analysis of concurrent programs. In: Abadi, M., de Alfaro, L. (eds.) CONCUR 2005 – Concurrency Theory: 16th International Conference, San Francisco, USA, August 23–26. Lecture Notes in Computer Science, vol. 3653, pp. 503–517, Springer, Berlin Heidelberg New York, 2005), corresponding to partially ordered subspaces of R n minus isothetic hyperrectangles. In this last case again, we conjecture (and give some hints) that component categories enjoy some nice adjunction relations directly with the fundamental category.   相似文献

Some results on the stochastic control of a two-dimensional chaotic map, namely, the baker map, are presented. The approach is based on the probabilistic coupling of the controlled dynamics with a controlling system and the subsequent lifting of the coupled dynamics to a suitable functional space. The lifted dynamics is described in terms of probability densities and is governed by the linear Perron-Frobenius and Koopman operators. We obtain a sufficient condition for controllability and an estimation for the time to achieve control for a given accuracy in terms of the spectral decomposition of the Perron-Frobenius operator.
