Zusammenfassung Für Fluoridgehalte zwischen 1 und 20 mg in 85 ml Lösung wurde die photometrische Titration mit Thoriumnitrat und Alizarin S automatisiert und die Arbeitsbedingungen optimiert. Ausgewählte Matrixeinflüsse werden eingehender untersucht. Dieses Verfahren ist besonders für die Bestimmung von Fluorid aus Peroxid-Aufschlüssen geeignet.

Automatic photometric titration of fluoride with thorium nitrate and Alizarin S as indicator

Summary The photometric titration of fluoride with thorium nitrate and Alizarin S as indicator has been automated and optimized for fluoride levels between 1 and 20 mg/85 ml solution. The interference of several ions has been investigated. This procedure is particularly useful for the determination of fluoride after fusion with peroxides as fluxing agents.

Neue Verbindungen mit KCu4S3-Struktur

TlCu₄S₃, TlCu₄Se₃, KCu₄Se₃, RbCu₄Se₃, CsCu₄S₃ and CsCu₄Se₃ were prepared by direct synthesis or by the carbonate melt method. They are isotypic with KCu₄S₃, space group P4/mmm,Z=1. The lattice parameters are: TlCu₄S₃:a=3.894(1)Å,c=9.33(1)Å, TlCu₄Se₃:a=3.974(4)Å,c=9.84(2)Å, KCu₄Se₃:a=3.963(4)Å,c=9.81(3)Å, RbCu₄Se₃:a=4.048(2)Å,c=9.86(1)Å, CsCu₄S₃:a=3.964(3)Å,c=9.67(1)Å,and CsCu₄Se₃:a=4.091(2)Å,c=10.08(1)Å. The crystal structure of TlCu₄S₃ was refined from single crystal diffractometer data. Isotypy of the other compounds was checked by visual inspection of rotating crystal orDebye Scherrer film intensities. The relationship between the crystal structures of the MCu₄ X ₃-phases, the TlT₂ X ₂-phases (ThCr₂Si₂ type) and the anti-CaF₂ type is shown.

Zur Reaktion von Camphen mit unterchloriger Säure

The reaction of hypochlorous acid and camphene (1) has been investigated. Products are 10-Chloroisoborneol, 2-exo-10-Dichlorobornane and 10-Chloro-2-exo-hydroxyisocamphane which have been isolated in crystalline form. 10-syn-and 10-anti-Chlorocamphene could be obtained from an oily fraction.

Extraktion von starken einwertigen Säuren mit Trioctylamin

Zusammenfassung Die Extraktion von HCl, HNO₃ und HClO₄ mit Trioctylaminlösungen in Octan, CCl₄, Benzol, CHCl₃ und Nitrobenzol wurde untersucht und die Extraktionskonstanten bestimmt. Die Extrahierbarkeit nimmt in der Reihenfolge HCl< 34 zu. Mit Erhöhung der Solvatisierungsfähigkeit der Lösungsmittel wird die extrahierte Verbindung in der organischen Phase stabilisiert und die Extraktionskonstanten werden erhöht.Es wird gezeigt, daß die quantitative Bewertung der Extraktionskonstanten durch die Anwendung der vonKarapetjantz angegebenen Methoden für Vergleichsberechnung physikalisch-chemischer Größen möglich ist.

Extraction of strong monobasic acids with trioctylamine

The extraction of HCl, HNO₃, and HClO₄ with trioctylamine solutions in octane, CCl₄, benzene, CHCl₃, and nitrobenzene has been investigated and the extraction constants determined. The extraction increases in the order HCl3< 4. With the increase of the solvation ability of the extraction agents, the extracted compound is stabilized in the organic phase and the extraction constants become higher.The possibility is shown for the quantitative evaluation of the extraction constants by using the methods proposed byKarapetyantz for the comparative calculation of physicochemical quantities.
