The combination of normal coordinate analysis with intensity calculations gives quantitative information about molecular force fields and the assignments of vibrational frequencies. Calculations of vibrational intensities by means of a standard CNDO/2 version give rise to satisfactory results for the IR intensities. However, the calculated Raman intensities often differ strongly from the experimental data. Inclusion of 2p-polarization functions on hydrogen in the usually used valence basis set is quite successful to obtain improved molecular polarizabilities as well as Raman intensities.  相似文献

A detailed assignment of absorption bands in IR spectra of methyl 3,4-anhydro-α-D-talo-hexapyranoside and methyl 2,3-anhydro-4-deoxy-α-D-ribo-hexapyranoside is first made based on the complete calculation of frequencies and absolute intensities of normal vibrations of molecules and their comparison with the corresponding experimental values. The effect of the epoxy group on the bands characteristic of the pyranose ring is analyzed. The charactericity of spectral features of oxymethyl substitution for the hydroxyl group and the oxirane ring is studied.  相似文献

The harmonic force constants, vibrational frequencies and integrated intensity ratios of CH2, H2O, CH2O, C2H2, CO2, HCN, CH3, CH4, and C2H4 have been calculated using the MINDO—FORCES program and the Pulay method for the calculation of the molecular force constants. The results obtained are in general quite satisfactory when compared with available literature values. The results are, however, not as satisfactory in case of molecules containing heteroatoms, due to the neglect of some dipolar repulsion integrals for the heteroatoms by the MINDO/3 method. Calculated integrated intensities for CH3 and C2H4 agree well with experimental results. The calculated integrated intensities for other molecules are obtained for the first time and no comparison with published data is therefore possible.Part of the M.Sc. Thesis of K. H. BH分子X 1Σ+、A 1Π和B 1Σ+ 态的势能函数   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
利用SAC/SAC-CI方法,使用D95++、6-311++g及cc-PVTZ等基组,对BH分子的基态(X 1Σ+)、第一简并激发态(A 1Π)及第二激发态(B 1Σ+)的平衡结构和谐振频率进行了优化计算. 通过对三个基组计算结果的比较,得出了cc-PVTZ基组为三个基组中的最优基组的结论;使用cc-PVTZ基组,利用SAC的GSUM(group sum of operators)方法对基态(X 1Σ+), SAC-CI的GSUM方法对激发态(A 1ΠB 1Σ+)进行单点能扫描计算, 用正规方程组拟合Murrell-Sorbie函数,得到了相应电子态的完整势能函数;从得到的势能函数计算了与基态(X 1Σ+)、第一简并的激发态(A 1Π)和第二激发态(X 1Σ+)相对应的光谱常数(Be、αe、ωe 和ωeχe),结果与实验数据较为一致. 其中基态、第一激发态与实验数据吻合得较好.  相似文献

In the present study, a systematic vibrational spectroscopic investigation for the experimental IR and Raman spectra of 2,3,4-trifluorobenzonitrile (TFB), aided by electronic structure calculations has been carried out. The electronic structure calculations – ab initio (RHF) and hybrid density functional methods (B3LYP) – have been performed with 6-31G* basis set. Molecular equilibrium geometries, electronic energies, IR intensities, harmonic vibrational frequencies, depolarization ratios and Raman activities have been computed. The results of the calculations have been used to simulate IR and Raman spectra for TFB that showed excellent agreement with the observed spectra. Potential energy distribution (PED) and normal mode analysis have also been performed. The assignments proposed based on the experimental IR and Raman spectra have been reviewed. A complete assignment of the observed spectra has been proposed.  相似文献

The crystal and molecular structures of the 3′,5′-di-O-acetyl-N(4)-hydroxy-2′-deoxycytidine molecule and its 5-fluoro congener have been determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The 3′,5′-di-O-acetyl-N(4)-hydroxy-5-fluoro-2′-deoxycytidine molecule crystallizes in the space group C2 with the following unit cell parameters: a = 21.72 Å, b = 8.72 Å, c = 8.61 Å, and β = 90.42. 3′,5′-di-O-acetyl-N(4)-hydroxy-2′-deoxycytidine also belongs to the monoclinic space group C2 and the unit cell parameters are: a = 39.54 Å, b = 8.72 Å, c = 22.89 Å, and β = 95.26. The non-fluorine analogue demonstrates a rare example of crystal structure with five symmetry-independent molecules in the unit cell. All the molecules in both crystal structures have the sugar residue anti oriented with respect to the base, as well as have the N(4)-OH residue in cis conformation relatively to the N(3)-nitrogen atom. In addition to the molecular geometries from X-ray experiment, the optimized molecular geometries have been obtained with the use of theoretical ab initio calculations at the RHF/6-31G(d) level. The corresponding geometric parameters in the molecules of 3′,5′-di-O-acetyl-N(4)-hydroxy-2′-deoxycytidine and its 5-fluoro congener have been compared. The differences including the C(5)=C(6) bond shortening and C(4)—C(5)—C(6) angle widening in the fluorine analogue are discussed in this paper in relation to the molecular mechanism of enzyme, thymidylate synthase, inhibition by N(4)-hydroxy-2′-deoxycytidine monophosphate and its 5-fluoro congener.  相似文献

The experimental enthalpies of solution ΔsolHm, van’t Hoff enthalpies of sublimation ΔsgHm0 of solid compounds, partial molar volumes V20, and partial molar heat capacities Cp,20 of aqueous solutions of pyrimidine nucleic acid bases and their derivatives, determined previously and collected here, are discussed in terms of calculated structural parameters. Relations have been established between the calorimetric and volumetric properties. Correlations have been developed to relate both the enthalpies of solvation and the partial molar heat capacities to the polar and apolar parts of the accessible molecular surface areas.  相似文献
