We consider a functional differential equation (1) (t)=F(t,) fort[0,+) together with a generalized Nicoletti condition (2)H()=. The functionF: [0,+)×C 0[0,+)B is given (whereB denotes the Banach space) and the value ofF (t, ) may depend on the values of (t) fort[0,+);H: C 0[0,+)B is a given linear operator and B. Summary We prove that, when X is one of the Banach spaces lp (1p ) or c0, then every infinite-dimensional complemented subspace of XN (resp. Let (G) and V(G) be, respectively, the closed-set lattice and the vertex set of a graph G. Any lattice isomorphism : V(G)(G) induces a bijection : V(G)V(G) such that for each x in V(G), (x)=x' in V(G') iff ({x})={x'}. A graph G is strongly sensitive if for any graph G' and any lattice isomorphism : (G)(G), the bijection induced by is a graph isomorphism of G onto G'. In this paper we present some sufficient conditions for graphs to be strongly sensitive and prove in particular that all C 4-free graphs and all covering graphs of finite lattices are strongly sensitive.  相似文献

We prove the following generalization of a theorem of Ferry concerning selections of strongly regular multivalued maps onto the class of paracompact spaces: Let : X (Z, ) be a map of a paracompact space X into a metric space (Z, ) whose values (x) are complete subspaces of Z and absolute extensors (AE), for every x X. Suppose that can be represented as = , where : X Y is a continuous singlevalued map of X onto some finite-dimensional paracompact space Y and : Y (Z, ) is a strongly regular map. Then for every closed subset A X and every selection r : A Z of the map |A : A Z, there exists an extension : X Z of r such that is a selection of the map . In the standard 4(O n ) model, a critical regime in which the coupling constantg of the 4 decreases as a certain given power as T-T c0 is considered. From the point of view of physics, such a formulation of the problem corresponds to a certain class of trajectories of approach to the triple point in the two-dimensional plane of the physical parameters of the system. The number of subgroups of type and cotype in a finite abelian p-group of type is a polynomialg with integral coefficients. We prove g has nonnegative coefficients for all partitions and if and only if no two parts of differ by more than one. Necessity follows from a few simple facts about Hall-Littlewood symmetric functions; sufficiency relies on properties of certain order-preserving surjections that associate to each subgroup a vector dominated componentwise by . The nonzero components of (H) are the parts of , the type of H; if no two parts of differ by more than one, the nonzero components of – (H) are the parts of , the cotype of H.
