The development of a highly sensitive sensor for oxygen is proposed using a glassy carbon (GC) electrode modified with alternated layers of iron(II) tetrasulfonated phthalocyanine (FeTsPc) and iron(III) tetra-(N-methyl-pyridyl)-porphyrin (FeT4MPyP). The modified electrode showed excellent catalytic activity for the oxygen reduction. The reduction potential of the oxygen was shifted about 330 mV toward less negative values with this modified electrode, presenting a peak current much higher than those observed on a bare GC electrode. Cyclic voltammetry and rotating disk electrode (RDE) experiments indicated that the oxygen reduction reaction involves 4 electrons with a heterogenous rate constant (kobs) of 3 × 105 mol−1 L s−1. A linear response range from 0.2 up to 6.4 mg L−1, with a sensitivity of 4.12 μA L mg−1 (or 20.65 μA cm−2 L mg−1) and a detection limit of 0.06 mg L−1 were obtained with this sensor. The repeatability of the proposed sensor, evaluated in terms of relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) was 2.0% for 10 measurements of a solution of 6.4 mg L−1 oxygen. The sensor was applied to determine oxygen in pond and tap water samples showing to be a promising tool for this purpose.  相似文献

The development of a simple, efficient and sensitive sensor for dissolved oxygen is proposed using the host-guest binding of a supramolecular complex at a host surface by combining a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of mono-(6-deoxy-6-mercapto)-β-cyclodextrin (βCDSH), iron (III) tetra-(N-methyl-4-pyridyl)-porphyrin (FeTMPyP) and cyclodextrin-functionalized gold nanoparticles (CDAuNP). The supramolecular modified electrode showed excellent catalytic activity for oxygen reduction. The reduction potential of oxygen was shifted about 200 mV toward less negative values with this modified electrode, presenting a peak current much higher than those observed on a bare gold electrode. Cyclic voltammetry and rotating disk electrode (RDE) experiments indicated that the oxygen reduction reaction involves probably 4-electrons with a rate constant (kobs) of 7 × 104 mol−1 L s−1. A linear response range from 0.2 up to 6.5 mg L−1, with a sensitivity of 5.5 μA L mg−1 (or 77.5 μA cm−2 L mg−1) and a detection limit of 0.02 mg L−1 was obtained with this sensor. The repeatability of the proposed sensor, evaluated in terms of relative standard deviation was 3.0% for 10 measurements of a solution of 6.5 mg L−1 oxygen.  相似文献

The development of a highly sensitive amperometric sensor for nitrite using a glassy carbon electrode modified with alternated layers of iron(III) tetra-(N-methyl-4-pyridyl)-porphyrin (FeT4MPyP) and cobalt(II) tetrasulfonated phthalocyanine (CoTSPc) is described. The modified electrode showed an excellent catalytic activity and stability for the nitrite oxidation decreasing the peak potentials about 200 mV toward less positive values and presenting much higher peak currents than those obtained on the bare GC electrode. A linear response range of 0.2-8.6 μmol l−1, with a sensitivity of 0.37 μA l μmol−1 and detection limit of 0.04 μmol l−1 were obtained with this sensor. The repeatability of the proposed sensor, evaluated in term of relative standard deviation, was verified to be 1.4% for 10 measurements of 0.2 μmol l−1 nitrite solution. Interference caused by common ions has been investigated in simulated mixtures containing high concentration level of interfering ions and the sensor was found to be tolerant against these ions. The developed sensor was applied for the nitrite determination in water samples and the results were in agreement with those obtained by a comparative method described in the literature. The average recovery for these samples was 100.1 (±0.7)%.  相似文献

For the first time, a solid sensing zone implemented with unsegmented flow analysis is described for the simultaneous determination of two pesticides, thiabendazole and warfarin. The system works as a simple and rapid spectrofluorimetric biparameter sensor. The sensor is based on the retention of the analytes on the sensing solid zone (octadecyl silane C18 gel) placed in the detection zone itself into a quartz flow-cell. A temporary sequentiation in the arrival of the analytes to the sensing zone is achieved by on line separation using a pre-column of the same gel placed just before the flow cell. Thiabendazole is determined the first (using methanol 30% (v/v) as carrier/elution solution) because it passes through the pre-column while warfarin is strongly retained in it. Then, warfarin is conveniently eluted from the pre-column (using methanol 50% (v/v) as carrier/elution solution) the intrinsic fluorescence peak height measured at an excitation wavelength of 309 nm and an emission wavelength of 368 nm is used as analytical signal. Using a low sample volume (40 μl), the analytical signal showed a very good linearity in the range 10-800 ng ml−1 and 2-40 μg ml−1 with detection limits of 2.35 ng ml−1 and 0.54 μg ml−1 for thiabendazole and warfarin, respectively. The sensor was satisfactorily applied to the determination of these two analytes in pesticides and pharmaceutical preparations.  相似文献

A new sample preparation procedure based on tandem (that is, different diameter probe sonicators used in the same sample treatment) focused ultrasound (TFU) for mercury separation, preconcentration and back-extraction in aqueous solution from human urine has been developed. The urine is first oxidized with KMnO4/HCl/focused ultrasound (6 mm probe). Secondly, the mercury is extracted and preconcentrated with dithizone and cyclohexane. Finally, the mercury is back-extracted and preconcentrated again with the aid of focused ultrasound (3 mm probe). The procedure allows determining mercury by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry with fast furnace analysis and calibration against aqueous standards. Matrix modification is provided by the chemicals used in the sample treatment. The procedure is accomplished with low sample volume (8.5 ml). Low volume and low concentration reagents are used. The sample treatment is rapid (less than 3 min per sample) and avoids the use of organic phase in the graphite furnace. The preconcentration factor used in this work was 14. The limit of detection and the limit of quantification in urine were, respectively, 0.27 and 0.9 μg l−1. The relative standard deviation of aqueous standards (n=10) was 4% for a concentration of 100 μg l−1 and 5% for a concentration of 400 μg l−1. Recoveries from spiked urine with inorganic mercury, methyl-mercury, phenyl-mercury and diphenyl-mercury ranged from 86 to 98%.  相似文献

A simple, inexpensive and reagent-less colorimetric micro flow analysis (μFA) system was implemented in a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) micro fluidic manifold. A T-shaped micro channel on a PMMA chip was fabricated by laser ablation and topped with molded polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). The fabricated μFA system was integrated with the optical components as detector and applied to the determination of iron in water samples. It is based on the measurement of Fe(III)-nitroso-R salt complex at 720 nm formed by the reaction between Fe(III) and nitroso-R salt in an acetate buffer solution pH 5. The proposed μFA consumed very small amount of reagent and sample, it released waste of less than 2.0 mL h−1. The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) was less than 2% (n = 11) with the recovery of 98.7 ± 0.12 (n = 5). The linear range for the determination of iron in water samples was over the range of 0.05-4.0 μg mL−1 with a correlation coefficient (r2) of 0.9994. The limit of detection (3σ) and limit of quantitation (10σ) were 0.021 μg mL−1 and 0.081 μg mL−1, respectively with a sample throughput of 40 h−1.  相似文献

A fluorescence ratiometric sensor for OCl has been developed based on a novel dual fluorophore response approach. The sensor molecule contains a coumarin fluorophore and a rhodamine fluorophore, and the two fluorophores are directly linked to an OCl recognition group. The structure of the sensor was characterized by ESI-MS, NMR, and X-ray crystallographic analysis. Upon treatment with OCl, both fluorophores in the sensor responded simultaneously at two separate optical windows, with large enhancement of the fluorescence ratio (I578/I501) from 0.01 to 39.55. The fluorescence ratios for the sensor showed a good linearity with the concentration of OCl in the range of 0.2–40 μM and the detection limits is 0.024 μM (S N−1 = 3). Investigation of reaction products indicated that the sensor reaction with OCl produced two new fluorescent molecules, which were responsible for the fluorescence changes in two optical windows. In addition, the sensor showed high selectivity to OCl over other reactive oxygen species, reactive nitrogen species, cations, and anions. The sensor has also been successfully applied to detection of OCl in natural water samples with satisfactory recovery.  相似文献

The highly selective, fast and effective sample pretreatment technique molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE) can overcome the low sensitivity of the highly efficient capillary electrophoresis-UV method (CE-UV). In this work, narrowly dispersible bisphenol A (BPA)-imprinted polymeric microspheres with a high capacity factor of k′ = 6.8 and an imprinted factor of I = 6.53 were investigated as selective solid-phase extraction (SPE) sorbents for use in extraction of BPA from different sample matrices (tap water, wastewater, Yangtze River water, soil from the Yangtze River, shrimp and human urine). Washing and eluting protocols of MISPE were optimized. Under optimal conditions, recoveries of MISPE were investigated. Recoveries were basically constant and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was lower than 5.8% when loading volumes changed from 1 to 50 mL. Recoveries ranged from 71.20% to 86.23% for different sample matrices. Compared with C18 SPE, MISPE had higher selectivity and recovery for BPA. BPA was determined with good accuracy and precision in different complex samples using CE-UV coupled with MISPE. Spiked recoveries ranged from 95.20% to 105.40%, and the RSD was less than 7.2%. Because a large loading volume was achieved, the enrichment efficiency of pretreatment and the sensitivity of this method were improved. The limits of detection of this MISPE-CE-UV method for BPA in tap water, wastewater, Yangtze River water, soil from the Yangtze River, shrimp and human urine were 3.0 μg L− 1, 5.4 μg L− 1, 6.9 μg L− 1, 2.1 μg L− 1, 1.8 μg L− 1 and 84 μg L− 1, respectively.  相似文献

A systematic study on the high-temperature Torch Integrated Sample Introduction System (TISIS) for use in Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) has been performed. The investigation included the optimization of the relevant parameters (chamber temperature, sheathing gas flow rate, nebulizer gas flow rate, sample uptake rate), the evaluation of its performance characteristics (sensitivity, limits of detection, stability, memory effects, use with the dynamic reaction cell) and representative applications to environmental, biological and clinical samples. Under the optimal conditions (T = 150 °C; nebulizer gas flow rate of 0.7 L min−1 along with sheathing gas flow rate of 0.35 L min−1 and a sample uptake rate of 20 μL min−1), the sensitivity was from 2 to 8 times higher than that measured using a conventional micronebulizer/mini-spray chamber system, due to the enhanced analyte mass transport toward the plasma and the solvent introduction in the vapour form. In addition, for several elements, TISIS provided lower limits of detection than the conventional system, even when the latter worked at 5-fold higher sample uptake rate. Short-term and long-term precision was better than 5%. Spectroscopic interferences arising from common matrices were efficiently removed by the dynamic reaction cell technique. The application of TISIS/ICP-MS to representative certified reference samples (spinach leaves, marine plankton, bone tissue, human blood) proved the suitability of this system for the accurate analysis of limited-size samples.  相似文献

A simple and robust on-line sequential insertion system coupled with hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry (HG-AAS) was developed, for selective As(III) and total inorganic arsenic determination without pre-reduction step. The proposed manifold, which is employing an integrated reaction chamber/gas-liquid separator (RC-GLS), is characterized by the ability of the successful managing of variable sample volumes (up to 25 ml), in order to achieve high sensitivity. Arsine is able to be selectively generated either from inorganic As(III) or from total arsenic, using different concentrations of HCl and NaBH4 solutions. For 8 ml sample volume consumption, the sampling frequency is 40 h−1. The detection limit is cL = 0.1 and 0.06 μg l−1 for As(III) and total arsenic, respectively. The precision (relative standard deviation) at 2.0 μg l−1 (n = 10) level is sr = 2.9 and 3.1% for As(III) and total arsenic, respectively. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated by analyzing the certified reference material NIST CRM 1643d and spiked water samples with various concentration ratios of As(III) to As(V). The method was applied for arsenic speciation in natural waters samples.  相似文献

An automated system to perform liquid-liquid extraction is proposed, in which the effective mixture (the intimate contact) between the aqueous phase and the organic phase, as well as the separation of the phases, are carried out in a micro-batch glass extraction chamber. Sample, reagents and organic solvent are introduced into the glass extraction chamber by a peristaltic pump using air as carrier. The detection of the extracted species from the aqueous phase is made in a small volume (120-150 μl) of isobutyl methyl ketone (MIBK). The system allows enrichment factors of 2-10-fold. The proposed automatic system was evaluated for Cu(II) extraction based on complex formation between copper(II) and 1-(2′-pyridylazo)naphthol (PAN) in MIBK. When a volumetric ration of 2:1 (aqueous:organic) was implemented, copper was detected in the concentration range of 100-1600 μg l−1 (r = 0.9995) with a relative standard deviation of 2% (200 μg l−1, n = 5) and a detection limit of 20 μg l−1. The analytical curve was linear over the concentration range 25-500 μg l−1 (r = 0.9994) when a volumetric ratio of 10:1 was employed. With this ratio, the detection limit was 5.0 μg l−1 and the relative standard deviation was 6% (50 μg l−1, n = 5).  相似文献

Volatile sulphur compounds are the primary constituents of oral malodour. Quantitative tools for the detection of oral malodour are beneficial to evaluate the intensity of malodour, analyse its causes and monitor the effectiveness of customized treatments. We have developed an objective, cost effective, do-it-yourself colorimetric sensor for oral malodour quantification. The sensor consisted of a sensing solution, a gas sampling unit for collecting a known volume of mouth air and a photometric detector. The sensing solution was iodine and the depletion of iodine on reaction with hydrogen sulphide was detected colorimetrically using starch. The detection limit of the sensor is 0.05 μg L−1 of hydrogen sulphide, which is fit-for-purpose for oral malodour detection in healthy subjects as well as halitosis patients. Volatile sulphur compounds in mouth air were quantified in healthy human volunteers using this portable sensor and the detected levels were in the range of 0.2-0.4 μg L−1. There was a good correlation between the VSC levels detected by the colorimetric sensor and halimeter (R2 = 0.934). The developed sensor can be easily fabricated in the laboratory, and it shows high potential to be used as a clinical evaluation tool for oral malodour assessments.  相似文献

This paper reports the development of a new strategy for low-level determination of copper in water samples by using a flow-injection system coupled to solid-phase extraction (SPE) using flame atomic absorption spectrometry (F AAS) as detector. In order to preconcentrate copper from samples, a minicolumn packed with a styrene-divinylbenzene resin functionalized with (S)-2-[hydroxy-bis-(4-vinyl-phenyl)-methyl]-pyrrolidine-1-carboxylic acid ethyl ester was used and the synthesis procedure is described. System operation is based on the on-line retention of Cu(II) ions at pH 9.0 ± 0.2 in a such minicolumn with posterior analyte elution with 2 mol l−1 HCl directly to the F AAS nebulizer. The influence of several chemical (sample pH, buffer concentration, HCl eluent concentration and effect of the ionic strength) and flow (sample and eluent flow rates and preconcentration time) variables that could affect the performance of this system were investigated as well as the possible interferents. At optimized conditions, for 2 min of preconcentration time (13.2 ml of sample volume), the system achieved a detection limit of 1.1 μg l−1, a R.S.D. 1% at 20 μg g l−1 and an analytical throughput of 25 h−1, whereas for 4 min of preconcentration time (26.4 ml of sample volume), a detection limit of 0.93 μg l−1, a R.S.D. 5.3% at 5 μg l−1 and a sampling frequency of 13 h−1 were reported.  相似文献

Liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) has been investigated for trace analysis in the present work in conjunction with fibre-optic-based micro-spectrophotometry which accommodates sample volume of 1 μL placed between the two ends of optical fibres. Methods have been evolved for the determination of (i) 1-100 μM and 0.5-20 μM of thiols by single drop microextraction (SDME) and LPME in 25 μL of the organic solvent, respectively, involving their reaction with the Ellman reagent and ion pair microextraction of thiolate ion formed; (ii) 70 μg to 7 mg L−1 of chlorine/chlorine dioxide by headspace in-drop reaction with alternative reagents, viz., mixed phenylhydrazine-4-sulphonic acid and N-(1-naphthyl)ethylenediamine dihydrochloride, o-dianisidine, o-tolidine, and N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine; (iii) 0.2-4 mg L−1 of ammonia by reaction with 2,4-dinitro-1-fluorobenzene to give 2,4-dinitroaniline which was diazotized and coupled with 1-naphthylamine, the resulting dye was subjected to preconcentration by solid-phase extraction and LPME; and (iv) 25-750 μg L−1 of iodide/total iodine by oxidation of iodide by 2-iodosobenzoate, microextraction of iodine in organic solvent, and re-extraction into aqueous starch-iodide reagent drop held in the organic phase. LPME using 25-30 μL of organic solvent was found to produce more sensitive results than SDME. The cuvetteless spectrophotometry as used in combination with sample handling techniques produced limits of detection of analytes which were better than obtained by previously reported spectrophotometry.  相似文献

A quantitative method of capillary electrophoresis with sample stacking induced by moving reaction boundary (MRB) was developed for sensitive determination of oxymatrine (OMT) and matrine (MT) in rat plasma. The experimental conditions were optimized firstly. Below are the optimized experimental conditions: 20 mM sodium formate solution (HCOONa, adjusted to pH 10.70 by ammonia) as sample solution, 3 min 14 mbar sample injection, 40 mM formic buffer (HCOOH-HCOONa, pH 2.60) as stacking buffer, 7 min 14 mbar injection of stacking buffer, 100 mM HCOOH-HCOONa (pH 4.80) as separation buffer, 73 cm capillary (effective length 64 cm), 21 kV voltage, 210 nm wavelength. Under the optimized conditions, higher than 60-fold sensitivity improvement of the stacking was simply achieved as compared with capillary zone electrophoresis, and the detectable limits obtained for OMT and MT were 0.26 and 0.19 μg mL−1, respectively. Then, numerous demonstrations were carefully performed for the methodological validations of OMT and MT in rate plasma, including high specificity of method, good linearity (r = 0.9993 for OMT, r = 0.9991 for MT), fair wide linear concentration range (1.30-65.00 μg mL−1 for OMT, 0.84-42.00 μg mL−1 for MT), low limit of detection (1.03 μg mL−1 for OMT, 0.38 μg mL−1 for MT), less than 5% intra- and inter-day variance value, and higher than 96% recovery of OMT and MT in plasma. The developed method could be used for the trace analyses of OMT and MT in plasma and was finally used for the investigation on pharmacokinetic study of OMT in rat plasma.  相似文献

The separation and speciation of inorganic arsenic(III) and arsenic(V) are facilitated by employing a novel sequential injection system incorporating two mini-columns followed by detection with hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry. An octadecyl immobilized silica mini-column is used for selective retention of the complex between As(III) and APDC, while the sorption of As(V) is readily accomplished by a 717 anion exchange resin mini-column. The retained As(III)-PDC complex and As(V) are effectively eluted with a 3.0 mol L−1 hydrochloric acid solution as stripping reagent, which well facilitates the ensuing hydride generation process via reaction with tetrahydroborate. With a sampling volume of 1.0 mL and an eluent volume of 100 μL for both species, linear ranges of 0.05-1.5 μg L−1 for As(III) and 0.1-1.5 μg L−1 for As(V) are obtained, along with enrichment factors of 7.0 and 8.2, respectively. Precisions of 2.8% for As(III) and 2.9% for As(V) are derived at the concentration level of 1.0 μg L−1. The practical applicability of the procedure has been demonstrated by analyzing a certified reference material of riverine water (SLRS-4), in addition to spiking recovery in a lake water sample matrix.  相似文献

An ionic liquid-based single-drop microextraction (IL-SDME) procedure using IL as an extractant on-line coupled to capillary electrophoresis (CE) is proposed. The method is capable of quantifying trace amounts of phenols in environmental water samples. For the SDME of three phenols, a 2.40 nL IL microdrop was exposed for 10 min to the aqueous sample and then was directly injected into the capillary column for analysis. Extraction parameters such as the extraction time, the IL single-drop volume, pH of the sample solution, ionic strength, volume of the sample solution and the extraction temperature were systematically investigated. Detection limits to three phenols were less than 0.05 μg mL−1, and their calibration curves were all linear (R2 ≥ 0.9994) in the range from 0.05 to 50 μg mL−1. And enrichment factors for three phenols were 156, 107 and 257 without agitation, respectively. This method was then utilized to analyze two real environmental samples from Yellow River and tap water, obtaining satisfactory results. Compared with the usual SDME for CE, IL-SDME–CE is a simple, low-cost, fast and environmentally friendly preconcentration technique.  相似文献

Headspace single-drop microextraction has been investigated for the determination of chloride in conjunction with fibre optic-based cuvetteless micro-spectrophotometry which accommodates sample volume of 1 μL placed between the two ends of optical fibres. Method has been evolved for the determination of 0.025-4 mg L−1 of chloride involving its oxidation with permanganate in sulphuric acid medium, and reaction of chlorine with 2 μL drop of starch-iodide reagent suspended at the tip of microsyringe needle in the headspace of the reaction mixture. The limit of detection was found to be 2.8 μg L−1 of chloride which was better than obtained by existing methods. The method was highly selective and a number of ions which interfered severely in other methods did not affect the results. The method has been used to analyze water samples, inorganic compounds and cement when the overall recovery of chloride was 94.9% with a relative standard deviation of 3.9%.  相似文献

A fast, economic and sensitive chemiluminescence (CL) method has been developed for the analysis of cetrizine hydrochloride (CET) in pharmaceutical formulations and in biological fluids. The CL method is based on the oxidation of tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) (Ru (bipy)32+) by peroxydisulphate in a two-chip device. Up to 180 samples can be analysed per hour, consuming only minute quantities of reagents. Three instrumental setups were tested to find the most economical, sensitive and high throughput setup. In the first setup, a continuous flow of sample and CL reagents was used, whereas in the second setup, a fixed volume (2 μL) of (Ru (bipy)32+) was introduced into a continuous infusion of peroxydisulphate and the sample. In the third design, a fixed volume of sample (2 μL) was injected while the CL reagents were continuously infused. Compared to the first setup, a 200% signal enhancement was observed in the third setup. Various parameters that influence the CL signal intensity, including pH, flow rates and reagent concentrations, were optimized. A linear response was observed over the range of 50 μg L−1 to 6400 μg L−1 (R2 = 0.9959) with RSD values of 1.1% (n = 15) for 1000 μg L−1. The detection limit was found to be 15 μg L−1 (S/N = 3). The amount of consumed sample was only 2 μL, from which the detected amount of CET was found to be 6.5 × 10−14 mol. This procedure was successfully applied to the analysis of CET in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids.  相似文献

A suitable method for the gas chromatographic determination of 10 characteristic carbonyls in biological and oil samples based on the in-drop formation of hydrazones by using 2,4,6-trichlorophenylhydrazine (TCPH), has been developed. The derivatisation-extraction procedure was optimized separately for aqueous and oil samples with respect to the appropriate organic drop solvent, drop volume, in-drop TCPH concentration, sample stirring rate, temperature during single-drop microextraction (SDME), reaction time and headspace-to-sample volume ratio. The optimization showed differentiation of optimum values between the studied matrices. The limits of detection were found to range from 0.001 to 0.003 μg mL−1 for the aqueous biological samples and from 0.06 to 0.20 μg mL−1 for the oil samples. The limits of quantification were in the range of 0.003-0.010 μg mL−1 and 0.020-0.059 μg mL−1 for aqueous and oil samples, respectively. The overall relative standard deviations of the within-day repeatability and between-day reproducibility were <4.4% and <8.2% for the aqueous biological samples and <3.9% and <7.4% for the oxidized oil samples.  相似文献
