To find symmetries,symmetry groups and group invariant solutions are fundamental and significant in nonlinear physics.In this paper,the finite point symmetry group of the combined KP3 and KP4(CKP34) equation is found by means of a direct method.The related point symmetries can be obtained simply by taking the infinitesimal form of the finite point symmetry group.The point symmetries of the CKP34 equation constitute an infinite dimensional KacMoody-Virasoro algebra.The point symmetry invariant so...  相似文献

A simple formula for symmetries of the bilinear Kadomtsev- Petviashvili equation (BKPE) is given by using a direct method presented by Lou. The symmetry algebra of the BKPE is not isomorphic to those of the usual KP equation though these equations are related by the well known Cole-Hopf transformation.  相似文献

The modified discrete KP equation is the Bäcklund transformation for the Hirota’s discrete KP equation or the Hirota-Miwa equation. We construct the modified discrete KP equation with self-consistent sources via source generation procedure and clarify the algebraic structure of the resulting coupled modified discrete KP system by presenting its discrete Gram-type determinant solutions. It is also shown that the commutativity between the source generation procedure and Bäcklund transformation is valid for the discrete KP equation. Finally, we demonstrate that the modified discrete KP equation with self-consistent sources yields the modified differential-difference KP equation with self-consistent sources through a continuum limit. The continuum limit of an explicit solution to the modified discrete KP equation with self-consistent sources also gives the explicit solution for the modified differential-difference KP equation with self-consistent sources.  相似文献

The conservation laws—precisely speaking, the basis of the conservation laws—are obtained through the use of Noether's theorem, Lie symmetry, and a theorem due to Ibragimov. Though in principle for each generator of Lie symmetry there should be a different conserved vector, due to the closed Lie algebra generated by the generators, some of these vectors become no longer independent. The theorem of Ibragimov is used to construct a basis in the case of the KP equation in three dimensions. It is then shown how the same analysis can be performed through the Hamiltonian formalism.  相似文献

By means of the reductive perturbation method, three types of generalized (2+1)-dimensional Kadomtsev--Petviashvili (KP) equations are derived from the baroclinic potential vorticity (BPV) equation, including the modified KP (mKP) equation, standard KP equation and cylindrical KP (cKP) equation. Then some solutions of generalized cKP and KP equations with certain conditions are given directly and a relationship between the generalized mKP equation and the mKP equation is established by the symmetry group direct method proposed by Lou et al. From the relationship and the solutions of the mKP equation, some solutions of the generalized mKP equation can be obtained. Furthermore, some approximate solutions of the baroclinic potential vorticity equation are derived from three types of generalized KP equations.  相似文献

Generalized symmetries with arbitrary functions of time t for the generalized (2 + 1)-dimensional KdV equation was founded by establishing a formal theory of obtaining the solution of one type of higher dimensional PDEs due to LOU (Refs [6]-[9l). These symmetries constitute an infinite dimensional Lie algebra which is a generalization to the well-known wo3 algebra. In this paper, the Lie symmetry algebra of the coupled Kadomtsev--Petviashvili (cKP) equation is obtained by the classical Lie group method and this algebra is shown to have a Kac--Moody--Virasoro loop algebra structure. Then the general symmetry groups of the cKP equation is also obtained by the symmetry group direct method which is proposed by Lou et al。 From the general symmetry groups, the Lie symmetry group can be recovered and a group of discrete transformations can be derived simultaneously. Lastly, from a known simple solution of the cKP equation, we can easily obtain two new solutions by the general symmetry groups.  相似文献

A dual transformation is found for a class of nonlinear σ-model defined on a multidimensional curved space with cylindrical symmetry. The system is invariant under a proper combination of the dual transformation and the general coordinate transformation. An infinite number of nonlocal conservation laws as well as the Kac-Moody algebra follow directly from the dual transformation. In a recent article(Commun. Theor. Phys. 67(2017) 207), three(2+1)-dimensional equations — KP equation, cylindrical KP equation and spherical KP equation, have been reduced to the same Kd V equation by using different transformation of variables, respectively. In this short note, by adding an adjustment item to original transformation, three more general transformation of variables corresponding to above three equations have been given.Substituting the solutions of the Kd V equation into our transformation of variables, more new exact solutions of the three(2+1)-dimensional equations can be obtained.  相似文献

We show that the discrete Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation with sources obtained recently by the “source generalization” method can be incorporated into the squared eigenfunction symmetry extension procedure. Moreover, using the known correspondence between Darboux-type transformations and additional independent variables, we demonstrate that the equation with sources can be derived from Hirota's discrete KP equations but in a space of higher dimension. In this way we uncover the origin of the source terms as coming from multidimensional consistency of the Hirota system itself.  相似文献

The method of multiple-scales is used to investigate the evolution of a weak nonlinear internal waves between two-layer fluids in cylindrical coordinate system. Two reduced model wave equations, which we call a modified cylindrical KdV equation for axially symmetric case and a modified cylindrical KP equation for non-axially symmetric case, are derived and their solitary wave solutions are also obtained by relating them i to the modified KdV equation by means of an appropriate variable transformation.  相似文献

We have found on the basis of the symmetry analysis of the standard Dirac equation with nonzero mass the new physically meaningful features of this equation. The new bosonic symmetries of the Dirac equation in both the Foldy-Wouthuysen and the Pauli-Dirac representations are found, among which (together with the 32-dimensional pure matrix algebra of invariance) the new spin s=(1,0) multiplet Poincaré symmetry is proved. In order to carry out the corresponding proofs a 64-dimensional extended real Clifford-Dirac algebra is put into consideration.  相似文献

By using the extended homogeneous balance method, a new auto-Ba^ecklund transformation(BT) to the generalized Kadomtsew-Petviashvili equation with variable coefficients (VCGKP) are obtained. And making use of the auto-BT and choosing a special seed solution, we get many families of new exact solutions of the VCGKP equations, which include single soliton-like solutions, multi-soliton-like solutions, and special-soliton-like solutions. Since the KP equation and cylindrical KP equation are all special cases of the VCGKP equation, and the corresponding results of these equations are also given respectively.  相似文献

Abstract

By starting from known graded Lie algebras, including Virasoro algebras, new kinds of time-dependent evolution equations are found possessing graded symmetry algebras. The modified KP equations are taken as an illustrative example: new modified KP equations with m arbitrary time-dependent coefficients are obtained possessing symmetries involving m arbitrary functions of time. A particular graded symmetry algebra for the modified KP equations is derived in this connection homomorphic to the Virasoro algebras.
