The constraints on the supertorsion are presented which lead to off-shell d=10, N=2 Poincaré supergravity and the superfluids which are known to enter the superspace action are identified. It is pointed out that Poincaré off-shell constraints have to be used in a superspace formulation of the low-energy effective actions of N=1 superstrings. However, current formulations of N=1 superstrings propagating in arbitrary supergravity backgrounds are incompatible with these off-shell constraints.  相似文献

We study B s μ + μ ? in the context of the R-parity violating minimal supergravity in the high-tan?β regime. We find that the lowest value of the branching ratio can go well below the present LHCb sensitivity and hence B s μ + μ ? can even be invisible to the LHC. We also find that the present upper bound on Br?(B s μ + μ ?) puts strong constraint on the minimal supergravity parameter space. The constraints become more severe if the upper bound is close to its standard model prediction.  相似文献

Effects of charged Higgs bosons (H+) on various loop-induced processes in the B-meson system are discussed, within the framework of two Higgs doublet models (2HDMs). The H+ contribution to the magnetic moment form factor turns out to be very significant and it can distinguish between the two types of 2HDMs. Even with constraints from Bd mixing, both strong enhancements or strong suppressions (in b→sγ) of decay rates are possible. Thus, information from these modes is competitive with, and may soon surpass, restrictions on 2HDMs from Bd mixing. Since (inclusive) b→sγ and b→sg1 at current limits are not excluded, continued effort to detect them is encouraged.  相似文献

We invesdgate the correction to the branching ratio of decay b→sγ from the Pseudo-Goldstone bosons (PGBs) in the multiscale walking technicolor model (MWTCM). Tbe correction is found so large that we can not explain the recentCLEO data lf topcolor is further introduced. the branching ratio in the topcolor assisted MWTCM will be in agreement with the CLEO data for a certain range of the model-allowed parameter space.  相似文献

The measurement of parity-violating (PV) observables in few-nucleon system can shed light on our current understanding of the weak interaction between nucleons.Theoretical models describe the nucleonnucleon weak interaction at low energies use a series of undetermined parameters.Two parity violating measurements have been considered: the capture of polarized slow neutrons on hydrogen (n + p → d + γ) at Los Alamos National Laboratory for first phase and Oka Ridge National Laboratory for second phase and the helicity dependence of the deuteron photodisintegration cross section using circularly polarized photons (γ + d → n + p) at Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics.The goal of both experiments is to constraint the weak meson-nucleon couplings to a precision of 1 ×10-8 .The introduction of both experiments is presented.  相似文献

We propose a “natural” way to avoid the introduction by hand of a small mass scale μ in the observable sector of N = 1 supergravity theories. In our approach, μ automatically arises from the general couplings of broken supergravity. In this way, all low energy mass parameters arise only from supergravity breaking and, in particular, SU (2) × U (1) is left unbroken in the limit of exact supersymmetry. Our solution of the μ-problem presents interesting connections with the strong CP puzzle through the implementation of symmetriesàla Peccei and Quinn.  相似文献

The electromagnetic transition properties of the decuplet to octet baryon (→ Nγ) is studied within the framework of a hypercentral quark model.The confinement potential is assumed as a hypercentral coloumb plus linear potential.The transition magnetic moment and transition amplitude f M 1 for the → Nγ are in agreement with other theoretical predictions.The present result of the radiative decay width is found to be in excellent agreement with the experimental values reported by the particle data group over other theoretical model predictions.  相似文献

The short distance QCD corrections to bsγγ are calculated in the leading logarithmic approximation. The equivalence of operator basis reduction for S-matrix elements by using the equations of motion or by proving a low energy theorem is discussed. We apply the above results to the exclusive Bsγγ decay. The branching ratio of this decay is found to be 5×10−7 in the Standard Model. We also found that QCD corrections modify considerably the ratio between CP-even and CP-odd two-photon amplitudes.  相似文献

Applying the effective Lagrangian method,we study the flavor changing neutral current process b→ sγwithin the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model,where baryon and lepton numbers are local gauge symmetries.Constraints on the parameters are investigated numerically with the experimental data for the branching ratio of B→ X_sγ.Additionally,we present the corrections to direct CP-violation in B→ X_sγ and time-dependent CP-asymmetry in B→K~*γ.With appropriate assumptions on the parameters,we find the direct CP-violation Acp is very small,while one-loop contributions to S_(K~*_γ) can be significant.  相似文献

In this paper, we calculate the top quark rare decays t →cγ and v in an extension of the standard model, where baryon number and lepton number are local gauge symmetries. Adopting reasonable assumptions on the parameter space, we find that the branching ratios of t →cγ and t →cg can reach 10^-6 and 10^-5 respectively, which can be detected in near future.  相似文献

The magnetic moment(a_γ) and weak magnetic moment(a_W) of charged leptons and quarks are sensitive to quantum effects of new physics heavy resonances.In effective field theory,a_γ and a_W are induced by two independent operators.Therefore,one has to measure both ay and aw to shed light on new physics.The aw's of the SM fermions are measured at the LEP.In this work,we analyze the contributions from magnetic and weak magnetic moment operators in the processes of pp→H_γ and gg→H→τ~+τ~-γ at the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider.We demonstrate that the two processes can cover most of the parameter space that cannot be probed at the LEP.  相似文献

Using the N=2 superfield approach, we construct full N=4 supersymmetric low-energy effective actions for N=4 SYM models, with both N=2 gauge superfield strengths and hypermultiplet superfields included. The basic idea is to complete the known non-holomorphic effective potentials which depend only on N=2 superfield strengths W and to the full on-shell N=4 invariants by adding the appropriate superfield hypermultiplet terms. We prove that the effective potentials of the form lnWln W̄ can be N=4 completed in this way and present the precise structure of the corresponding completions. However, the effective potentials of the non-logarithmic form suggested in hep-th/9811017 and hep-th/9909020 do not admit the N=4 completion. Therefore, such potentials cannot come out as (perturbative or non-perturbative) quantum corrections in N=4 SYM models.  相似文献

We examine the prospects for observing weak flavour-changing neutral current (FCNC) decays ofB mesons at hadron colliders, including effects of anomalousWWZ vertices. Since it is very difficult to measure the inclusive rate B Xs + one should consider exclusive modes such as BK* + and B K+ . Even though this requires one to compute hadronic matrix elements, we show that experimentally observable quantities (ratios of decay rates) are not strongly parametrisation dependent. Some possibilities for reducing the theoretical uncertainties from other experimental data are discussed.  相似文献

A systematic procedure in superspace to derive the O(α′) tree-level superstring corrections to the new D = 10, N = 1 (dual) supergravity Yang-Mills system is established. All the tree-level O(α′) corrections in the closed supersymmetry transformation laws are presented explicitly. These O(α′) corrections are regarded as a generalization of “matter” couplings in D = 10, N = 1 supergravity. The advantage of the superspace approach, based on superspace Bianchi identities, in comparison with the component formulation is elucidated. This new method is applicable to all anomaly-free D ⩽ 10 non-maximal supergravity theories, which utilize the Green-Schwarz mechanism. It also provides a way of introducing general higher-order powers of curvature tensors in D ⩽ 10 supergravity theories.  相似文献
