The optical expression of Gaussian beams with phase difference, which is caused by gyrator transform (GT), has been obtained. The intensity and phase distribution of transform Gaussian beams are analyzed. It is found that the circular hollow vortex beam can be obtained by overlapping two GT Gaussian beams with π phase difference. The effect of parameters on the intensity and phase distributions of the hollow vortex beam are discussed. The results show that the shape of intensity distribution is significantly influenced by GT angle α and propagation distance z. The size of the hollow vortex beam can be adjusted by waist width ω0. Compared with previously reported results, the work shows that the hollow vortex beam can be obtained without any model conversion of the light source.  相似文献

基于Collins公式,研究了空间相干度为零阶贝塞耳函数的部分相干光通过球差透镜后在几何焦平面附近的光强分布情况.研究表明,通过改变部分相干光的光谱相干度,球差系数可以得到平顶光束和局域空心光束.球差系数决定了最佳聚焦点的位置.当球差系数为正时,最佳聚焦点随着球差系数的增大向远离透镜的方向运动,甚至超过几何焦点;当球差系数为负时,最佳聚焦点随着球差系数绝对值的增大向靠近透镜方向移动.另外,在正负球差绝对值相等时,光强分布以几何焦点相对称.  相似文献

The beam quality of the laser beams after spectral beam combining (SBC) has been analyzed in this paper. Based on the propagation model of the spectral beam combining system, the expression for the output field of an individual beam passing through the spectral beam combining system with lens aberration has been given and the intensity distribution of the combined beam has been studied by the principle of incoherent superposition. Consequently, according to the intensity second-order moments method, the M2-factor of the combined beam has been calculated and the effect of lens aberration on the characteristics of the combined beam has been analyzed quantitatively. It can be shown that the SBC system can improve the beam quality of laser array significantly, and the M2-factor of the combined beam passing through the ideal spectral beam combining system is almost the same as that of an individual beam. For the spectral beam combining system with lens aberration, the spherical aberration has greater effect on the off-axis beam than on the on-axis beam, and the beam quality of combined beam degrades with increase in lens aberration.  相似文献

本文讨论高斯光束经过负球差透镜的聚焦,得到了聚焦光场轴上点的光强分布的表示式,并对其进行数值计算。数值计算结果表明,在负球差的情况下,得到光强的最大点位置(最佳聚焦点)相对于无球差情况,往透镜方向移动,并且,最佳聚焦点的光强较无球差时大,当Nw=1,Na=5,kS1=-0.2时,得到的最佳聚焦点的光强是无球差时的1.34倍。本文还讨论了透镜的菲涅尔数对聚焦光场分布的影响。结果表明,当透镜的菲涅尔数小于1时,球差对高斯光束的聚焦的影响可以忽略。  相似文献

Based on vectorial Debye theory, tight focusing of x-polarized beam with high NA lens axicon is studied. The high NA lens axicon utilizes spherical aberration to duplicate the performance of an axicon and to create an extended focal line. The intensity distribution in the focal region is illustrated by numerical calculations. We show that the high NA lens axicon system can generates a sub wavelength beam (0.826λ) with depth of focus around 10λ.  相似文献

Based on the beam coherent-polarization (BCP) matrix approach and propagation law of partially coherent beams, the focal shift and focal switch of partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams passing through a system with the aperture and spherically aberrated lens separated is studied in detail. Our main attention is focused on the effect of spherical aberration and partial coherence on the focal shift and focal switch of PGSM beams. It is shown that for polarizer-free case there is no focal switch of PGSM beams, the focal shift of PGSM beams is closely related with spherical aberration coefficient C4, auto-coherence length σa, truncation parameter δ and relative position s/f between the aperture and lens in general, and is independent of the cross-coherence length σc. After inserting a polarizer the focal switch can take place. Numerical calculation results are given to illustrate how the spherical aberration and partial coherence affect the focal shift and focal switch of PGSM beams.  相似文献

A method is presented for generation of a sub wavelength (0.45λ) longitudinally polarized beam, which propagates without divergence over lengths of about 8λ in free space. This is achieved by tight focusing of double ring shaped radially polarized beam with a high NA lens axicon that utilizes spherical aberration to duplicate the performance of an axicon and to create an extended focal line. The intensity distributions were calculated based on the vector diffraction theory and it was observed that in the case of high numerical aperture (NA) lens axicon, the distribution of the total intensity near the focus had little effect on the degree of truncation of the incident beam by the pupil.  相似文献

We formulate the fourth order correction to a paraxial Gaussian beam propagated along the axis of symmetry of a parabolic index lens. First we examine the evolution of a complex-source-point spherical wave (equivalent paraxially to a Gaussian beam) through the lens in a two-dimensional xz plane. Taking into account the terms of up to fourth order in aperture variables, we find a ray-optical solution to the exit beam that is represented in terms of aberration function. We also analyze the effect of the lens aberration exerted on the degradation in the quality of a Gaussian beam. The fourth order-corrected wave function derived here may be used to evaluate the quality of a Gaussian beam focused with a parabolic index lens. Further it may be applied to the case of an orthogonal system in which the index variations are different in the xz and yz planes.  相似文献

Focusing properties of the spirally polarized axisymmetric Bessel-modulated Gaussian beam with quadratic radial dependence (QBG beam) are investigated theoretically by vector diffraction theory. Calculation results show that intensity distribution in focal region can be altered considerably by beam parameter μ and spiral parameter C that indicates polarization spiral degree. For certain real value μ, focal spot can evolve from one focal spot to one focal ring, spherical crust focal shape, then two focal rings on increasing spiral parameter C. It was found that under condition of different μ, evolution principle of focal pattern differs very remarkably on increasing C. And some novel focal shapes may appear, including rhombic shape, quadrangular shape, two-spherical crust focus shape, two-peak shape, one dark hollow focus, two dark hollow focuses pattern, triangle dark hollow focus.  相似文献

Tight focusing of linearly and circularly polarized vortex beams is studied in the presence of third-order spherical aberration, using vectorial Debye–Wolf integral. Results for total intensity distribution are presented for both polarizations. In addition, results for x-, y-, and z-polarization components are presented for the circularly polarized beam. Generation of longitudinal optical vortex in the tightly focused left circularly polarized beam has also been demonstrated by plotting its phase distribution. Compensation for the effect of spherical aberration has been studied in the presence of defocusing. Effect of aberration on the dark core of a tightly focused azimuthally polarized beam is also investigated.  相似文献

 基于部分相干光的传输理论,研究了部分相干平顶高斯光束通过球差透镜聚焦后轴上点的光强分布。数值计算表明:轴上最佳聚焦点随着球差从负到正的变化而向几何焦点方向移动;光束阶数越大,实现最佳聚焦点越过几何焦点所需的正球差值越小;正负球差对应的最佳聚焦点始终分居于无球差时最佳聚焦点的两侧;轴上最佳聚焦点的光强随着球差从负到正的变化而变小;当正负球差绝对值较大时,光强随球差的变化较为缓慢,而在球差值为0附近,光强随球差的变化比较剧烈。  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a lens axicon, which actually is a lens with spherical aberration, illuminated by a polychromatic Gaussian beam for producing an extended axial line image of a desired length and nearly uniform intensity. A numerical calculation is performed to investigate the dependence of the axial intensity distribution of the focal segment on the parameters of the incident polychromatic Gaussian beam. It is shown that, compared with monochromatic Gaussian beam illumination, the illumination of the polychromatic Gaussian beam may improve the uniformity of the distribution of the axial intensity, and this improvement in the uniformity of the axis intensity is strongly dependent on the spectral width of the incident Gaussian beam. Moreover, apodization with annular super-Gaussian amplitude distribution is employed to reduce the undesired oscillation of the axial intensity.  相似文献

The superresolution technique is usually used in optical imaging for its ability to make the central diffractive spot smaller than the Airy spot. In this paper, we apply the superresolution technique for transforming a symmetrical TEMp0 Laguerre-Gauss beam into a Gaussian intensity distribution in the plane of a converging lens. The beam shaping is achieved by an annular binary Diffractive Optical Element having a transmittance, alternatively equal to −1 or + 1, modelled on the p light rings of the incident beam. It is observed that the rectified TEM30 beam at focus has a focal volume 170 times smaller than that of a Gaussian beam.  相似文献

The phase singularities of focused dark-hollow Gaussian beams in the presence of spherical aberration are studied. It is shown that the evolution behavior of phase singularities of focused dark-hollow Gaussian beams in the focal region depends not only on the truncation parameter and beam order, but also on the spherical aberration. The spherical aberration leads to an asymmetric spatial distribution of singularities outside the focal plane and to a shift of singularities near the focal plane. The reorganization process of singularities and spatial distribution of singularities are additionally dependent on the sign of the spherical aberration. By introducing a hard aperture function into a finite sum of complex Gaussian functions, an approximate analytical expression predominating the distribution of axial intensity for the flat-topped Mathieu-Gauss (FTMG) beams passing through a system with the aperture and lens separated has been derived. The focal shift and the focal switch effect of FTMG beams passing through the system is studied in detail. Numerical calculations have shown that the position of real focal plane is not coincident with the geometrical focus but is somewhat shifted toward the lens. The focal shift and focal switch of FTMG beams take place when the relative separation s/f = 1 by a suitable choice of beam parameter and truncation parameter, for example, the beam parameter is smaller than its corresponding critical value or the truncation parameter is between its two corresponding critical values.  相似文献

Based on the process of the Fresnel diffraction, the possibility of generating a new type of laser beams family by illuminating a curved fork-shaped hologram, with an input hypergeometric-Gaussian beams family of orders n and m is studied in this paper. The theoretical and the numerical results showed that, at the output plane, a high order spiraling Bessel vortex beam is produced. This vortex beam is divergence or non-divergence depending upon the waist position of the input hypergeometric-Gaussian beams, regarding the plane where the curved fork-shaped hologram is situated. Analytical expressions of the amplitude and the intensity distribution of the diffracted wave field are calculated and deduced using the stationary phase method. The actual work generalizes also the Fresnel diffraction study of some subfamilies of the hypergeometric-Gaussian beams family, such as: fundamental Gaussian, hollow Gaussian, modified quadratic Bessel–Gaussian and elegant Laguerre–Gaussian beams.  相似文献

The intensity distribution of the J0-correlated Schell-model (JSM) vortex beams focused by a lens and propagation in weak-to-strong turbulent atmosphere are investigated. It is shown that the beam spreading increases with the increase in topological charge n, the source coherent length α−1, turbulent outer scale L0 and propagation distance z. The center hollow depth of intensity distribution of the J0-correlated Schell-model (JSM) vortex beams decrease with the increase of topological charge n, turbulent outer scale L0 and propagation distance z or the decrease of the source coherent length α−1.  相似文献

The Laser-Lithography technique allows the fabrication of complex objects having microsizes by selectively solidifying polymeric materials layer by layer upon exposure to a focused Gaussian laser beam having a beam propagation factor M2=1. We can expect that extension of this technique to large sizes 3-D prototyping comes up against a large increase in the design time. A possible solution is the increase in the focused spot size, but unfortunately at the price of a great reduction in the longitudinal resolution due to the resulting increase in the depth of focus. To overcome these difficulties, we propose the use of a rectified TEMp0 beam allowing the obtaining of a Gaussian beam intensity profile in the focus plane of a lens. The reshaped TEMp0 beam has a beam propagation factor M2≈(2p+1), and this yields to a relative improvement of the longitudinal resolution although the spot size is increased for reducing the processing time.  相似文献
