Results of convergence in norm of difference operators acting on the differentiable functions on the sphere are obtained. It is shown that a very wide class of positive linear operators can be used to approximate functions with arbitrary growth on the real line. In this Paper the approximation of continuous functions by positive linear operators of Bernstein type is investigated. The consideered operators are constructed using a system of rational functions with prescribed matrix of real poles. A certain general problem of S Bernstein concerning a scheme of construction of a sequence of positive linear operators is discussed. The answer on the Bernstein's hypothesis is given. The paper characterizes some classes of pseudo-differential operators for which there are (or there are not) non-constant bounded harmonic functions. Non-local perturbations of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operators and operators with dissipative coefficients are considered. The methods used are probabilistic and based on the concept of absorption function and on a new extension of the Bismut-Elworthy-Li formula. The probabilistic interpretation of the Liouville theorem by means of absorption functions for general Markov processes is given as well.  相似文献

Nonimprovable, in general, estimates of the number of necessary and sufficient conditions for two Hermitian operators to be unitarily equaivalent in a unitary space are obtained when the multiplicities of eigenvalues of operators can be more than 1. The explicit form of these conditions is given. We study the action of composition operators on Sobolev spaces of analytic functions having fractional derivatives in some weighted Bergman space or Hardy space on the unit disk. Criteria for when such operators are bounded or compact are given. In particular, we find the precise range of orders of fractional derivatives for which all composition operators are bounded on such spaces. Sharp results about boundedness and compactness of a composition operator are also given when the inducing map is polygonal.

We give an exposition and an extension of the ideas of Feynman's time-ordered operational calculus for noncommuting operators. Various directions for 'disentangling' functions of such operators are provided by measures on the time intervals in question. We concentrate especially on exponentials of sums of noncommuting operators and prove that the unique solution of a broad class of evolution equations is given by the time-dependent operators arrived at by disentangling such exponential expressions.  相似文献

In this paper some properties of the generalized Szasz operators by multiple Appell polynomials are given, using into consideration the power summability method. In the first section are given some direct estimation related to the generalized Szasz operators by multiple Appell polynomials, including Korovkin type theorem. In the second section, we give some results related to the weighted spaces of continuous functions and Voronovskaya type theorem. In the third section, we have proved some results related to the statistical convergence of the generalized Szasz operators by multiple Appell polynomials, using into consideration the A− transformation. At the end of the paper are given some illustrative computational examples which make such summability methods (for example, power series method) more useful and fruitful for applications of functional analysis in approximation theory.  相似文献

In a recent paper [1] the author, along with H. Gonska, introduced some wavelet type integral operators over the whole real line and studied their properties such as shift-invariance, global smoothness preservation, convergence to the unit, and preservation of probability distribution functions. These operators are very general and they are introduced through a convolution-like iteration of another general operator with a scaling type function. In this paper the author provides sufficient conditions, so that the derivatives of the above operators enjoy the same nice properties as their originals. A sufficient condition is also given so that the “global smoothness preservation” related inequality becomes sharp. At the end several applications are given, where the derivatives of the very general specialized operators are shown to fulfill all the above properties. In particular it is shown that they preserve continuous probability density functions.  相似文献
