This paper introduces the concept of the generalized Riesz operators and the concept of the generalized West decomposition of a general operator which generalizes the definition of the West decomposition of Riesz operators, and proves that the following three statements are equivalent on a general Banach space:

In this paper, we consider a one-dimensional dam-river system, described by a diffusive-wave equation and often used in hydraulic
engineering to model the dynamic behavior of the unsteady flow in a river for shallow water when the flow variations are not
important. We propose an integral boundary control which leads to a nondissipative closed-loop system with noncollocated actuators
and sensors; hence, two main difficulties arise: first, how to show the C
0-semigroup generation and second, how to achieve the stability of the system. To overcome this situation, the Riesz basis
methodology is adopted to show that the closed-loop system generates an analytic semigroup. Concerning the stability, the
shooting method is applied to assign the spectrum of the system in the open left-half plane and ensure its exponential stability
as well as the output regulation. Numerical simulations are presented for a family of system parameters.

In this paper, a gap function for a system of vector equilibrium problems is introduced and studied. Some necessary and sufficient
conditions for the system of vector equilibrium problems are established. Characterizations of the solutions set for the system
of vector equilibrium problems are also derived. Furthermore, some existence results of solutions for the system of vector
equilibrium problems are proved.

This paper deals with propagations of singularities in solutions to a parabolic system coupled with nonlocal nonlinear sources.
The estimates for the four possible blow-up rates as well as the boundary layer profiles are established. The critical exponent
of the system is determined also.

In this paper, we introduce the pre-frame operator Q for the g-frame in a complex Hilbert space, which will play a key role in studying g-frames and g-Riesz bases etc. Using the pre-frame operator Q, we give some necessary and sufficient conditions for a g-Bessel sequence, a g-frame, and a g-Riesz basis in a complex Hilbert space, which have properties similar to those of the Bessel sequence, frame, and Riesz basis respectively. We also obtain the relation between a g-frame and a g-Riesz basis, and the relation of bounds between a g-frame and a g-Riesz basis. Lastly, we consider the stability of a g-frame or a g-Riesz basis for a Hilbert space under perturbation. 相似文献

Due to its good potential for digital signal processing, discrete Gabor analysis has interested some mathematicians. This
paper addresses Gabor systems on discrete periodic sets, which can model signals to appear periodically but intermittently.
Complete Gabor systems and Gabor frames on discrete periodic sets are characterized; a sufficient and necessary condition
on what periodic sets admit complete Gabor systems is obtained; this condition is also proved to be sufficient and necessary
for the existence of sets E such that the Gabor systems generated by χ
E
are tight frames on these periodic sets; our proof is constructive, and all tight frames of the above form with a special
frame bound can be obtained by our method; periodic sets admitting Gabor Riesz bases are characterized; some examples are
also provided to illustrate the general theory.

The fiberization of affine systems via dual Gramian techniques, which was developed in previous papers of the authors, is
applied here for the study of affine frames that have an affine dual system. Gramian techniques are also used to verify whether
a dual pair of affine frames is also a pair of bi-orthogonal Riesz bases. A general method for a painless derivation of a
dual pair of affine frames from an arbitrary MRA is obtained via the mixed extension principle.

In this paper, we investigate the large-time behavior of solutions to the initial-boundary value problem for n × n hyperbolic system of conservation laws with artificial viscosity in the half line (0, ∞). We first show that a boundary layer exists if the corresponding hyperbolic part contains at least one characteristic field with negative propagation speed. We further show that such boundary layer is nonlinearly stable under small initial perturbation. The proofs are given by an elementary energy method. 相似文献

In this paper, we consider the problem of the existence of general non-separable variate orthonormal compactly supported wavelet
basis when the symbol function has a special form. We prove that the general non-separable variate orthonormal wavelet basis
doesn't exist if the symbol function possesses a certain form. This helps us to explicate the difficulty of constructing the
non-separable variate wavelet basis and to hint how to construct non-separable variate wavelet basis.

Preparation of a metallic diffuse-fringe film system and its electrical properties are reported. The anomalousR-I characteristics, third-harmonic coefficient and critical behavior are observed in the film system. Analysis shows that this
behavior is caused by the location-dependent tunneling and hopping effects, which result from. the continuous variation of
the diffuse fringe structure of the film due to the increase of the current.

In this article we transform a large class of parabolic inverse problems into a nonclassical parabolic equation whose coefficients
consist of trace type functionals of the solution and its derivatives subject to some initial and boundary conditions. For
this nonclassical problem, we study finite element methods and present an immediate analysis for global superconvergence for
these problems, on basis of which we obtain a posteriori error estimators.
