Let G be a group with a dihedral subgroup H of order 2pn, where p is an odd prime. We show that if there exist H-connected transversals in G, then G is a solvable group. We apply this result to the loop theory and show that if the inner mapping group of a finite loop Q is dihedral of order 2pn, then Q is a solvable loop.1991 Mathematics Subject Classification: 20D10, 20N05 相似文献

Abstract We prove Strichartz type estimates for non-selfadjoint pseudo-differential operators of order m with a curvature condition on the characteristic set. Local solvability results for the corresponding equations with L n/m potential (where n > m stands for the number of variables) and for the corresponding semi-linear equations with a non-linearity of order m/n ≤ α ≤ 2m/(n ? m) follow. This is achieved using a parametrix construction and a Brenner inequality for Fourier integral operators with complex phase. 相似文献

The solvability of the fifth-order nonlinear dispersive equation δtu+au (δxu)^2+βδx^3u+γδx^5u = 0 is studied. Abstract We begin with the notion of K-flat projectivity. For each biframe L we then introduce a binary relation ?L on it. The K-flat projective biframes are exactly such biframes with each element a of the total (first, second) part approximated by the elements x of the total (first, second) part, x?L a and the relation ?L being stable wrt. the meet operation on L. Further on, we introduce the notion of a K-comonad and characterize K-flat projective biframes as those biframes having a coalgebra structure for the K-comonad. Abstract We show that the left and right polar sets of a nearring N form complete bounded lattices PR(N) and PL(N). We consider properties of PL(N) and its elements, which are ideals, when N is 3-semiprime. Let P be a linear partial differential operator with coefficients in the Gevrey class Gs. We prove first that if P is s‐hypoelliptic then its transposed operator tP is s‐locally solvable, thus extending to the Gevrey classes the well‐known analogous result in the C∞class. We prove also that if P is s‐hypoelliptic then its null space is finite dimensional and its range is closed; this implies an index theorem for s‐hypoelliptic operators. Generalizations of these results to other classes of functions are also considered. 相似文献
