We prove that the quasilinear parabolic initial-boundary value problem (1.1) below is globally well-posed in a class of high order Sobolev solutions, and that these solutions possess compact, regular attractors ast+.  相似文献

The initial boundary value problem for the compressible Navier-Stokes equation is considered in an infinite layer of Rn. It is proved that if n?3, then strong solutions to the compressible Navier-Stokes equation around parallel flows exist globally in time for sufficiently small initial perturbations, provided that the Reynolds and Mach numbers are sufficiently small. The proof is given by a variant of the Matsumura-Nishida energy method based on a decomposition of solutions associated with a spectral property of the linearized operator.  相似文献

The Boussinesq system models various phenomena in geophysical and climate dynamics. It is a coupled system of the Navier-Stokes equations and the salinity transport equation. Due to uncertainty in salinity flux on fluid boundary, this system is subject to random fluctuations on the boundary. This stochastic Boussinesq system can be transformed into a random dynamical system. Rare events, or small probability events, are investigated in the context of large deviations. A large deviations principle is established via a weak convergence approach based on a recently developed variational representation of functionals of infinite dimensional Brownian motion.  相似文献

In this article we study the 3D Navier-Stokes equations with Navier friction boundary condition in thin domains. We prove the global existence of strong solutions to the 3D Navier-Stokes equations when the initial data and external forces are in large sets as the thickness of the domain is small. We generalize the techniques developed to study the 3D Navier-Stokes equations in thin domains, see [G. Raugel, G. Sell, Navier-Stokes equations on thin 3D domains I: Global attractors and global regularity of solutions, J. Amer. Math. Soc. 6 (1993) 503-568; G. Raugel, G. Our analysis hinges on the refined investigation of the eigenvalue problem corresponding to the Stokes operator Aε with Navier friction boundary condition.  相似文献

We show that any solution of the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equation whose vorticity distribution is uniformly bounded in L1(R2) for positive times is entirely determined by the trace of the vorticity at t=0, which is a finite measure. When combined with previous existence results by Cottet, by Giga, Miyakawa & Osada, and by Kato, this uniqueness property implies that the Cauchy problem for the vorticity equation in R2 is globally well-posed in the space of finite measures. In particular, this provides an example of a situation where the Navier-Stokes equation is well-posed for arbitrary data in a function space that is large enough to contain the initial data of some self-similar solutions.  相似文献

We suppose that M is a closed subspace of l (J, X), the space of all bounded sequences {x(n)} n?J ? X, where J ? {Z+,Z} and X is a complex Banach space. We define the M-spectrum σM (u) of a sequence u ? l (J,X). Certain conditions will be supposed on both M and σM (u) to insure the existence of u ? M. We prove that if u is ergodic, such that σM (u,) is at most countable and, for every λ ? σM (u), the sequence e?iλnu(n) is ergodic, then u ? M. We apply this result to the operator difference equationu(n + 1) = Au(n) + ψ(n), n ? J,and to the infinite order difference equation Σ r k=1 ak (u(n + k) ? u(n)) + Σ s ? Z?(n ? s)u(s) = h(n), n?J, where ψ?l (Z,X) such that ψ| J ? M, A is the generator of a C 0-semigroup of linear bounded operators {T(t)} t>0 on X, h ? M, ? ? l 1(Z) and ak ?C. Certain conditions will be imposed to guarantee the existence of solutions in the class M.  相似文献

In this article, we consider a non-autonomous diffuse interface model for an isothermal incompressible two-phase flow in a two-dimensional bounded domain. Assuming that the external force is singularly oscillating and depends on a small parameter ?, we prove the existence of the uniform global attractor A?. Furthermore, using the method similar to that of Chepyzhov and Vishik (2007) [22] in the case of the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes systems, we study the convergence of A? as ? goes to zero. Let us mention that the nonlinearity involved in the model considered in this article is slightly stronger than the one in the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes system studied in Chepyzhov and Vishik (2007) [22].  相似文献

We consider a system coupling the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations to the Vlasov-Fokker-Planck equation. The coupling arises from a drag force exerted by each other. We establish existence of global weak solutions for the system in two and three dimensions. Furthermore, we obtain the existence and uniqueness result of global smooth solutions for dimension two. In case of three dimensions, we also prove that strong solutions exist globally in time for the Vlasov-Stokes system.  相似文献

For 2-D stochastic Navier-Stokes equations on the torus with multiplicative noise we construct a perfect cocycle and show the existence of global random compact attractors. The equations considered do not admit a pathwise method of solution. Received: 9 June 1998 / Revised version: 17 December 1998  相似文献

We consider fictitious domain-Lagrange multiplier formulations for variational problems in the space H(curl: Ω{\bf)} derived from Maxwell's equations. Boundary conditions and the divergence constraint are imposed weakly by using Lagrange multipliers. Both the time dependent and time harmonic formulations of the Maxwell's equations are considered, and we derive well-posed formulations for both cases. The variational problem that arises can be discretized by functions that do not satisfy an a-priori divergence constraint.  相似文献

We are concerned with the general case of compressible heat-conducting Navier-Stokes equations in three-dimensional exterior domains: It is shown that for small external data and both zero or nonzero velocity at infinity, there exists a unique (steady) solution inL p-spaces,p > 3. We explain the approach and state the main results together with some a-priori estimates.  相似文献

We prove that the initial value problem (IVP) for the critical generalized KdV equation ut+uxxx+x(u5)=0 on the real line is globally well-posed in Hs(R) if s>3/5 with the appropriate smallness assumption on the initial data.  相似文献

Global asymptotic dynamics of a representative cubic-autocatalytic reaction-diffusion system, the reversible Selkov equations, are investigated. This system features two pairs of oppositely signed nonlinear terms so that the asymptotic dissipative condition is not satisfied, which causes substantial difficulties in an attempt to attest that the longtime dynamics are asymptotically dissipative. An L2 to H1 global attractor of finite fractal dimension is shown to exist for the semiflow of the weak solutions of the reversible Selkov equations with the Dirichlet boundary condition on a bounded domain of dimension n≤3. A new method of rescaling and grouping estimation is used to prove the absorbing property and the asymptotical compactness. Importantly, the upper semicontinuity (robustness) in the H1 product space of the global attractors for the family of solution semiflows with respect to the reverse reaction rate as it tends to zero is proved through a new approach of transformative decomposition to overcome the barrier of the perturbed singularity between the reversible and non-reversible systems by showing the uniform dissipativity and the uniformly bounded evolution of the union of global attractors under the bundle of reversible and non-reversible semiflows.  相似文献

Studied in this paper is the Cauchy problem of the two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamics system with inhomogeneous density and electrical conductivity. It is shown that the 2-D incompressible inhomogeneous magnetohydrodynamics system with a constant viscosity is globally well-posed for a generic family of the variations of the initial data and an inhomogeneous electrical conductivity. Moreover, it is established that the system is globally well-posed in the critical spaces if the electrical conductivity is homogeneous.  相似文献

We prove the existence of solutions for a Navier-Stokes model in two dimensions with an external force containing infinite delay effects in the weighted space Cγ(H). Then, under additional suitable assumptions, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a stationary solution and the exponential decay of the solutions of the evolutionary problem to this stationary solution. Finally, we study the existence of pullback attractors for the dynamical system associated to the problem under more general assumptions.  相似文献

First, the existence and structure of uniform attractors in H is proved for nonautonomous 2D Navier-Stokes equations on bounded domain with a new class of distribution forces, termed normal in (see Definition 3.1), which are translation bounded but not translation compact in . Then, the properties of the kernel section are investigated. Last, the fractal dimension is estimated for the kernel sections of the uniform attractors obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the global behavior of weak solutions of the Navier-Stokes system of compressible barotropic self-gravitating fluids in time in a bounded three dimension domain-arbitrary forces. Under certain restrictions imposed on the adiabatic constant γ, we prove the existence of global compact attractors.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem of Navier-Stokes equations in weak Morrey spaces. We first define a class of weak Morrey type spaces Mp*,λ(Rn) on the basis of Lorentz space Lp,∞ = Lp*(Rn)(in particular, Mp*,0(Rn) = Lp,∞, if p > 1), and study some fundamental properties of them; Second, bounded linear operators on weak Morrey spaces, and establish the bilinear estimate in weak Morrey spaces. Finally, by means of Kato's method and the contraction mapping principle, we prove that the Cauchy problem of Navier-Stokes equations in weak Morrey spaces Mp*,λ(Rn) (1<p≤n) is time-global well-posed, provided that the initial data are sufficiently small. Moreover, we also obtain the existence and uniqueness of the self-similar solution for Navier-Stokes equations in these spaces, because the weak Morrey space Mp*,n-p(Rn) can admit the singular initial data with a self-similar structure. Hence this paper generalizes Kato's results.  相似文献
