In this article we study isometric immersions from Kähler manifolds whose (1, 1) part of the second fundamental form is parallel, theppmc isometric immersions. When the domain is a Riemann surface these immersions are precisely those with parallel mean curvature. P. J. Ryan has classified the Kähler manifolds that admit isometric immersions, as real hypersurfaces, in space forms. We classify the codimension twoppmc isometric immersions into space forms.  相似文献

In this paper we prove that a compact oriented hypersurface of a Euclidean sphere with nonnegative Ricci curvature and infinite fundamental group is isometric to an H(r)-torus with constant mean curvature. In this paper, we consider a complete noncompact n-submanifold M with parallel mean curvature vector h in an Euclidean space. If M has finite total curvature, we prove that M must be minimal, so that M is an affine n-plane if it is strongly stable. The fiberization of affine systems via dual Gramian techniques, which was developed in previous papers of the authors, is applied here for the study of affine frames that have an affine dual system. Gramian techniques are also used to verify whether a dual pair of affine frames is also a pair of bi-orthogonal Riesz bases. A general method for a painless derivation of a dual pair of affine frames from an arbitrary MRA is obtained via the mixed extension principle. We give manifolds whose Riemann curvature operators commute, i.e. which satisfy for all tangent vectors xi in both the Riemannian and the higher signature settings. These manifolds have global geometric phenomena which are quite different for higher signature manifolds than they are for Riemannian manifolds. In this paper we obtain a sharp height estimate concerning compact spacelike hypersurfaces Σn immersed in the (n+1)-dimensional Lorentz-Minkowski space Ln+1 with some nonzero constant r-mean curvature, and whose boundary is contained into a spacelike hyperplane of Ln+1.
