We have measured the radiative lifetime of the (5d6p)3D3 state of barium by Hanle effect. This state was populated by cw dye laser excitation of an atomic beam of Ba in the metastable (5d6s)3D3 state. The metastable state was populated by a dc discharge. With dye laser excitation, the shape of the Hanle effect curve is strongly modified due to optical pumping of the metastable state. A brief discussion of the expected and observed signal shapes is given. The radiative lifetime of the (5d6p)3D3 state is measured to be τ = 10.2 ± 1.5 ns.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure and isotope shifts of the transition between the 5d6s2 a2D3/2 ground state and the 5d6s(a3D)6p z4F5/2 ° excited state of singly ionized hafnium at \lambda=340 nm have been investigated by laser spectroscopy using a radio-frequency quadrupole ion trap. The magnetic dipole coupling constant A and electric quadrupole coupling constant B of the two atomic levels for both stable isotopes 177Hf and 179Hf are determined. The changes of mean square nuclear charge radii \delta[ r2] of the stable Hf isotopes and the radioactive isotope 172Hf (T1/2=1.87a) have been extracted from the data. Measurements of the hyperfine structures in the 6p5d 1 D 2,3 D 1 and3 F 2, 3, 4 states of135Ba and137Ba, and isotope-shifts in several far-red transitions between the 6s 5d and 6p 5d configurations, as well as the transition 6s 2 1 S 0→6s6p 3 P 1 at 7,911 Å have been performed using high-resolution laser spectroscopy on a collimated atomic beam of natural barium. An analysis of the magnetic-dipole interaction in the 6p 5d configuration using effective one- and two-body hyperfine operators is presented. In particular the contact interaction was studied with respect to the correlation between the two valence electrons. Effects of strong configuration interaction were found. From a King-plot analysis of the isotope shift term- andJ-dependence of the field shift have been evaluated for the transitions between the 6s 5d and 6p 5d configurations. Relativistic Hartree-Fock (RHF) calculations have been performed of electron densities at the nucleus for six different configurations in Ba I and Ba II. The RHF calculations reproduce the experimental King-plot slopes quite well, while the absolute values, of the changes in electron density at the nucleus for the studied transitions, are found to be 9% lower than the results derived from a muonic experiment.  相似文献

Using a tunable single mode dye laser the isotope shift of the 573.7 nm-line between the isotopes Lu175 and Lu176 has been determined to be IS(176?175, 573.7 nm)=?394(5) MHz yielding a change of mean square nuclear radii ofδr 2〉=0.022(5) fm2. In addition from our measurements the following values of the hyperfine splitting constantsA andB could be deduced Lu176 5d6s6p 4 F 3/2:A=?651.4(0.3) MHz,B=2,494(4) MHz 5d6s 2 2 D 3/2:A=138.0(0.3) MHz,B=2,131(3) MHz Lu175 5d6s6p 4 F 3/2:A=?924.7(0.5) MHz,B=1,767(4) MHz.  相似文献

提出并演示了一种光泵预选态的原子光谱测量方法,并对Ba原子的6s5d3 D态与6p5d3 F态的超精细结构及该跃迁的同位素移动进行了直接测量。首先利用791nm的激光激发Ba原子特定同位素及特定超精细结构的6s6s 1 S0→6s6p3 P1跃迁,并利用6s6p3 P1→6s5d3 D2的自发辐射有选择地分别将这些同位素制备到6s5d3 D2态不同的超精细能级上,再用778nm的激光扫出对应的6s5d3 D2→6p5d3 F2跃迁的荧光光谱,通过这几组光谱之间的对比直接实现了对22条超精细谱线的认定和归属,从而得到了135 Ba和137 Ba的6s5d3 D2能级与6p5d3 F2能级的超精细结构常数及该跃迁的同位素移动。  相似文献

Optical isotope shifts in the transition 4f45d 6I11/2-(26772)011/2 of Nd II were measured by using collinear fast-ion-beam laser spectroscopy. The configuration admixtures of the previously unclassified (26772)011/2 level were quantitatively analyzed to be 4f46p, 4f35d2, and 4f35d6s with mixing probabilities of 13%, 85%, 2%, respectively.  相似文献

Lifetime of eight levels belonging to the 4p45d configuration of singly ionized krypton have been measured by high-frequency deflection technique with a delayed coincidence single photon counting arrangement. The results have been compared with other experimental and theoretical values. The lifetimes of the 5d4P1/2, 5d2D3/2, 5d2F5/2, 5d2P3/2 and 5d2P1/2 levels have been measured for the first time.  相似文献

First laser spectroscopic measurements of the 6s5d3D1-6s6p1P1 and 6s5d3D2-6s6p1P1 transitions in several isotopes of atomic barium have been performed. The hyperfine structure of these transitions was optically resolved and isotope shifts for even and odd isotopes were determined. The isotope shifts show a deviation from their expected behavior for odd isotopes in an analysis based on King-plots. This observation puts atomic structure calculations at test because available theories do not predict this. A profound understanding of the wavefunctions for heavy alkaline earth systems like barium (Ba) and radium (Ra) is essential for a theoretical evaluation of their sensitivity to fundamental symmetry breaking effects such as they could be observed, e.g., through permanent electric dipole moments. Further the absolute frequency of the 6s2 1S0-6s6p3P1 intercombination line in 138Ba was determined to be 12 636.6232(1) cm-1.  相似文献

本工作测量了室温下TbP3O14和EuP5O14晶体的吸收和发射光谱。根据吸收光谱和Judd-Ofelt理论计算了Tb3+和Eu3+的实验和理论的振子强度。用最小二乘法拟合实验与理论的振子强度得到唯象强度参量Ωλ。然后计算了Tb3+5D37F5,5D47F45D47F6以及Eu3+5D07F2,5D07F4的跃迁几率和寿命。同时用时间分辨光谱测量了不同温度下相应的荧光辐射寿命。计算与实验结果基本相符。理论和实验的结果表明Tb3+5D3态的寿命主要取决于5D35D47F67F0两能级对之间的电偶极-电偶极交叉弛豫。 关键词:  相似文献

The new experimental results on the effective quantum numbers and term energies of the highly excited odd-parity 4s4d 3D1,2,3 →4snf 3F2,3,4 Rydberg transitions of zinc have been presented. The experiment was performed using the three dye lasers simultaneously pumped by the second harmonic (532?nm) of the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. The new observation includes the 4snf 3F3 (12?≤n?≤?50) series excited from the 4s4d 3D2 intermediate level. In addition, the 4snf 3F2 (12?≤n?≤?28) and 4snf3F4 (12?≤n?≤?33) series are observed from the thermally populated 4s4d 3D1,3 fine structure components. The ionization potential of zinc has been determined from the unperturbed 4snf 3F3 series as 75769.31?±?0.15?cm?1, which is in excellent agreement with the previously reported value.  相似文献

A novel, single-frequency, continuous-wave, ring, dye laser with intra-cavity frequency-doubling has been developed, and used to carry out saturated absorption spectroscopy on the 6s6d3D1-6s6p3P0 transition of Hg I at 296.7 nm. Even isotope shifts have been measured by this technique on this transition and are: Hg204-202, 350 ± 10 MHz; Hg202-200, 345 ± 10 MHz; Hg200-198, 310 ± 10 MHz. The shift on transitions from the hyperfine state 6s6d3D1 (F = 32) between Hg199 and Hg201 has also been measured, and is 225 ± 10 MHz.  相似文献

In this work Tb3+ is revisited as a laser ion for efficient visible laser operation. In detailed spectroscopic investigations of absorption and fluorescence properties we reveal, that neither the spin‐forbidden transitions nor the widespread belief of excited state absorption or upconversion into 4f75d1‐states ultimately prevent efficient visible laser operation in Tb3+‐doped fluorides. In contrast, the rise of blue semiconductor‐based pump sources enabled us to achieve slope efficiencies up to 58% around 545 nm in the green spectral region in highly Tb3+‐doped LiLuF4, LiYF4, KY3F10, β‐BaLu2F8 and LaF3 crystals. In addition, we obtained laser emission from Tb3+ in the yellow spectral region around 585 nm with slope efficiencies approaching 20%. To the best of our knowledge, these results represent the first continuous wave laser operation of Tb3+‐doped crystals and demonstration of laser oscillation on the 5D4 → 7F4‐transition in this ion.

The CuI 3d 94s5s 4 D-states, which lie above the ionization limit, were populated by stepwise collisional and laser excitation. With respect to their total angular momentum, the4 D-states have completely different decay modes. Whereas the lifetimesτ(4 D 7/2)=8.2(4)·10?9s andτ(4 D 1/2)=7.9(6)·10?9 s are determinrd by radiative transitions and were measured by time-resolved spectroscopy, the lifetimesτ(4 D 5/2)=1.59(6)·10?12s andτ(4 D 3/2)=1.28(5)·10?12s are due to autoionization and were deduced from the widths of the excitation signals observed by ion detection.  相似文献

Transition probabilities of the radiative decay processes of the excited levels 2p4(3P)3d 4D7/2, 2F7/2 and 4F7/2 of the fluorine-like neon ion (Ne+) are evaluated by variational calculations using superposition of configurations in the Breit-Pauli approximation. The strong 2F7/2-4F7/2 relativistic mixing is discussed in terms of level designation and doublet-quartet intensity transfer. A detailed comparison of the results with other theories and with the NIST measurements of branching fractions, combined with lifetime measurements, confirms problems on the experimental side.  相似文献

High resolution laser spectroscopy has been performed on mass-separated beams of barium ions, in a collinear geometry. Isotope shifts and hyperfine structures of the 5d 2 D 3/2→6p 2 P 3/2 transition and the 5d 2 D 5/2→6p 2 P 3/2 transition were measured. The level-crossing technique with combined electric and magnetic fields was used to investigate the hyperfine structure of the 5s 25d 2 D 3/2- and 5s 26d 2 D 3/2-stedes of the In I-spectrum. From the shifts of the level-crossing signals due to the Stark effect of the electric field the Stark constantsβ of both states were deduced: 5s 25d 2 D 3/2: ¦β¦=0.33(3) Mc/(kV/cm)2 5s 26d 2 D 3/2: ¦β¦=6(1) Mc/(kV/cm)2. By theoretical calculations with wave functions of the Coulomb approximation one can show, that the Stark effect in both states is mainly due to admixtures of the 5s 26p- resp.5s 27p-configuration.  相似文献

Radiative lifetimes of single fine structure levels of the multiplets 3d6 4s(a6 D)4p z5 D 0 and 3d7 (a4 F)4py 5F0 of the FeI spectrum were measured. The different levels were excited by a tunable dye laser which was pumped by a pulsed nitrogen laser. The exponential decay of the fluorescence was measured directly.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure and the Stark effect shift of the 4d5s5p z 2 F 5/2 states in the Y I spectrum were investigated by level-crossing technique. Between the Zeeman effect region and the Paschen-Back region of hyperfine structure states some of the levels cross. The resonance radiation of these coherently excited levels show an interference effect of the scattering amplitudes in the crossing region. The level-crossing signals give information about hfs splitting and lifetime of the excited states under investigation. 利用时间分辨光谱技术,研究了激光诱导Cu等离子体中激发态5s′4D7/2的形成及其辐射跃迁的瞬态特性.结果表明:在激发态5s′4D7/2原子的制备过程中,电子离子复合、粒子间碰撞机理在不同时刻分别起主导作用.激光峰值到达金属表面后500ns期间,粒子间的剧烈碰撞作用使得激发态5s′4D7/2主要通过向低能态4p′4F9o/2跃迁来转移能量.500ns以后,激发态5s′4D7/2通过以相同的概率辐射CuI465.11nm和CuI529.25nm特征谱线向低能态4p′4F9o/2和4p′4D7o/2转移能量.  相似文献
