Electric arcs burning in a strong, turbulent, axial nitrogen gas flow are studied. Time-resolving (framing) picture series of the arc and its deformations are taken through the quartz tube channel wall. Individual perturbations like kinks exist under strong, turbulent flow conditions. They move with constant acceleration in the direction of the cold gas flow. The temperature of the arc core is disturbed at the position of these disturbances, too. This shows up most distinctly, if the decay of the arc after short-circuiting is studied, as has been done additionally.  相似文献

The patterns of velocity and acceleration distribution in an electrohydrodynamic through flow in a symmetric system of electrodes have been experimentally studied. Analysis of the main features in the kinematic and dynamic flow structures provides information on the distribution of space charge and the course of events in the recombination zone. 研究Nagel-Schreckenberg(NS)交通流元胞自动机模型在不考虑车辆随机延迟情况下的决定论性模型的基本图,即渐近稳态的车流平均速度作为车辆密度的函数关系.证明决定论性NS模型,在车流的自组织作用下,其渐近稳态的基本图,与决定论性Fukui-Ishibashi(FI)交通流模型的基本图完全相同.这个结果表明,若把FI交通流模型中的车辆突然加速方式(即车辆速度可以在仅仅一个时步内加速到其最高速限M或前方空距所允许的最大速度),改变为车辆逐步加速方式(车辆速度在每一时步中最多仅能增加一个速度单位),则车辆的自组织相互作用,并不会改变其车流的长时间渐近稳态行为. 关键词:  相似文献

航空电子设备在加速度环境下工作时,采用液体工质进行散热的电子设备的散热性能将受到加速度的影响。本文采用有限体积法对加速度环境下矩形微槽中体积浓度30%的乙二醇水溶液的流动和传热特性进行了系统研究。考察了加速度大小和方向对微槽中流动与传热特性的影响,以及加速度环境对不同微槽结构和工质流量下流动与传热特性的影响。研究表明,与不考虑加速度影响时相比,在开始的瞬间,微槽传热性能大幅降低,流动阻力系数急剧上升,  相似文献

In the present article four non-static perfect fluid solutions have been derived by considering a plane symmetric metric of embedding class one. Out of the solutions so obtained two solutions possess an acceleration free velocity vector field while the other two have flow with acceleration. The flowability of powders with different mass median diameters ranging from micrometers to nanometers was measured using the vibration shear tube method. In the measurement system used in this study, the powder was discharged through a narrow gap between a vibrating tube edge and a flat bottom surface, where each particle could experience high shear forces to overcome the adhesion and friction forces. The vibration amplitude was increased during the measurement, and the mass of particles discharged was measured at constant time intervals. From the relationship between the mass flow rate and the vibration acceleration, static and dynamic properties of the powders were evaluated using the critical vibration acceleration, characteristic mass flow rate, and gradient of mass flow rate. The correlation between the static and dynamic properties was studied in detail.  相似文献

A longitudinal axially symmetric Shvedov-Bingham medium flow in a deformable vessel is studied. A formulation of the problem in terms of the integral characteristics of the channel cross section (radius, flow rate, rigid core radius in the cross section, core velocity, and average pressure in the cross section) is pro- posed. The problem of a steady flow in a confuser and the problem of medium acceleration in a cylinder are solved using the integral method.  相似文献

The purpose of the present work was to study the influence of blood acceleration and time window length on the power Doppler spectrum for Gaussian ultrasound beams. The work has been carried out on the basis of continuum model of the ultrasound scattering from inhomogeneities in fluid flow. Correlation function of fluctuations has been considered for uniformly accelerated scatterers, and the resulting power Doppler spectra have been calculated. It is shown that within the initial phase of systole uniformly accelerated slow blood flow in pulmonary artery and aorta tends to make the correlation function about 4.89 and 7.83 times wider, respectively, than the sensitivity function of typical probing system. Given peak flow velocities, the sensitivity function becomes, vice versa, about 4.34 and 3.84 times wider, respectively, then the correlation function. In these limiting cases, the resulting spectra can be considered as Gaussian. The optimal time window duration decreases with increasing acceleration of blood flow and equals to 11.62 and 7.54 ms for pulmonary artery and aorta, respectively. The width of the resulting power Doppler spectrum is shown to be defined mostly by the wave vector of the incident field, the duration of signal and the acceleration of scatterers in the case of low flow velocities. In the opposite case geometrical properties of probing field and the average velocity itself are more essential. In the sense of signal–noise ratio, the optimal duration of time window can be found. Abovementioned results may contribute to the improved techniques of Doppler ultrasound diagnostics of cardiovascular system.  相似文献

The unsteady turbulent channel flow subject to the temporal acceleration is considered in this study. Large-eddy simulations were performed to study the response of the turbulent flow to the temporal acceleration. The simulations were started with the fully developed turbulent channel flow at an initial Reynolds number of Re0 = 3500 (based on the channel half-height and the bulk-mean velocity), and then a constant temporal acceleration was applied. During the acceleration, the Reynolds number of the channel flow increased linearly from the initial Reynolds number to the final Reynolds number of Re1 = 22,600. The effect of grid resolution, domain size, time step size on the simulation results was assessed in a preliminary study using simulations of the accelerating turbulent flow as well as simulations of the steady turbulent channel flow at various Reynolds numbers. Simulation parameters were carefully chosen from the preliminary study to ascertain the accuracy of the simulation. From the accelerating turbulent flow simulations, the delays in the response of various flow properties to the temporal acceleration were measured. The distinctive features of the delays responsible for turbulence production, energy redistribution, and radial propagation were identified. Detailed turbulence statistics including the wall shear stress response during the acceleration were examined. The results reveal the changes in the near-wall structures during the acceleration. A self-sustaining mechanism of turbulence is proposed to explain the response of the turbulent flow to the temporal acceleration. Although the overall flow characteristics are similar between the channel and pipe flows, some differences were observed between the two flows.  相似文献

The interaction between finite-size particles and turbulent channel flow in the absence of gravity is studied by direct numerical simulations (DNS). The study is motivated by DNS observations of a turbulent channel flow with high-density, pointwise particles, that cluster in regions of high streamwise root-mean-square (RMS) acceleration close to the wall, contrary to what is observed in homogeneous isotropic turbulence. The aim of the present study is to explore if this is still the case when size effects are taken into account in the DNS. Based on the analysis of the velocity and acceleration statistics, the present DNS shows that, close to the wall, particles with ρpf ranging from 2 to 4 are surrounded by regions with low streamwise RMS velocity but high streamwise RMS acceleration. According to the normalised particle acceleration probability density functions (PDFs), size effects become important in the near-wall region. As particle inertia increases, the normalised PDFs of particle acceleration tend to a Gaussian distribution. The tails of the normalised PDFs of the fluid conditioned by the presence of particles are higher than that of the unconditioned fluid close to the wall.  相似文献

基于单相流体的概念,超临界流体的异常传热行为已经被研究很多年了,但是关于其流动传热机理仍没有统一的认识.本文通过理论分析和实验研究了超临界二氧化碳在竖直管内向上流动过程中,浮升力和流动加速效应对其流动结构和传热过程的影响.结果表明,没有确凿的实验证据表明超临界流体的异常传热行为是浮升力和流动加速直接导致的,存在的估计浮升力和流动加速效应准则均是在常物性流体的基础上,做了大量假设得出的,不同的研究者采用浮升力和流动加速准则分析超临界流体的传热恶化得出的结论不一致.最后,基于拟沸腾理论分析超临界流体的传热恶化过程,提出超临界沸腾数区分了超临界流体正常传热与恶化传热的转换边界,为超临界流体流动传热研究提供新思路,超临界沸腾数对建立用于不同技术的超临界流体动力循环的最佳运行条件具有重要意义.  相似文献

A spray cooling heat transfer experiment on straight fin surface under acceleration conditions was conducted to investigate the effects of acceleration, flow rate, and nozzle height. The results show that the acceleration can improve the heat transfer performance in a limited way. In addition, whether in the acceleration or stationary condition, the flow rate as well as the nozzle height has the same impact on the spray cooling performance. It is also observed that the surface temperature can influence the effect of flow rate on spray cooling performance, and the cooling performance becomes worse with the increase of nozzle height.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new combined cellular automaton (CA) model considering the driver behavior of stochastic acceleration and delay with the velocity of the preceding vehicle and the gap between the successive vehicles based on the WWH model and the noise-first NaSch model. It introduces the delay probability varying with the gap, adds the anticipation headway and increases the acceleration with a certain probability. Through these simulations, not only can the metastable state and start--stop wave be obtained but also the synchronized flow which the wide moving jam results in. Moreover, the effect of stochastic acceleration and delay on traffic flow is discussed by analyzing the correlation of traffic data. This indicates that synchronized flow easily emerges in the critical area between free flow and synchronized flow when acceleration and delay are synchronized or their probability is close to 0.5.  相似文献

The vibration propagation and active control of power flow in finite connected plate structure are studied. The dynamic response of the connected plate is obtained by the wave approach. The active power flow at the junction of the connected plate is suppressed by the feedforward active vibration control. It indicates that the active power flow at the junction of the connected plate cannot be well suppressed by the optimal control force for minimizing the acceleration, but it can be effectively suppressed by the optimal control force for minimizing the active power flow. The small error of the optimal control force has slight effects on the control results.  相似文献

Experimental data for the acceleration of plate liners with a magnetic flux electromagnetic compressor are reported. The compressor is designed for peaking the power of current pulses with an initial amplitude of 3 MA. The compression zone of the liner has the form of a stripline, which makes it possible to use one current source both for the acceleration of the liner and for the generation of a magnetic flux in the compression zone. The acceleration dynamics and the deformation of plate liners during an operating cycle of the compressor are studied. In the experiments conducted, the compressor is powered by a capacitor battery. The current amplitude in the output capacitive load rises by 1.6 times, while the pulse narrows twofold. Experimental data are compared with numerical calculation data for the liner material flow, which are found to adequately describe processes taking place in such a compressor.  相似文献

This paper presents a theoretical and numerical investigation of the interaction between sound waves and non-diffusive, quasi-one-dimensional, subsonic flows with only steady heat communication. It is first shown that a steady heat communicating flow can attenuate or generate sound even in the absence of mean flow acceleration. The relative significance of sound generation by the heat addition induced acceleration of density or entropy inhomogeneities and the effect of steady heat communication on the incident acoustic wave is then found. It is shown through scaling arguments that at high frequencies mean flow acceleration effects are negligible and the only significant sound generating mechanism involves steady heat communication. At low frequencies, however, the two mechanisms are more comparable.  相似文献

基于压力边界条件开展了微尺度低速流动DSMC方法的研究, 定义了两个无量纲参数作为微尺度DSMC方法下网格尺寸与时间步长的约束条件, 通过微尺度Poiseuille流进行了方法的验证与比较, 获得了网格尺寸与时间步长的一般原则。在此基础上, 对变截面的单孔和双孔模型的微通道气体流动进行DSMC模拟, 结果表明, 通道几何形状对微尺度气体流动具有显著影响, 孔口后由于通道收缩, 产生压降, 导致气流加速, 并在孔口下游拐角处发生分离; 双孔口模型的流动结构与单孔口模型相似, 且在相同压差情况下, 经双孔口后的气体流速低于经单孔口后的气体流速; 随着入口压力的增加, 经过孔口压缩后的速度越大, 分离区尺寸也越大。   相似文献

In this paper, we incorporate new parameters into a cellular automaton traffic flow model proposed in our previous paper [Jin et al. 2010 J. Stat. Mech. 2010 P03018]. Through these parameters, we adjust the anticipated velocity and the acceleration threshold separately. It turns out that the flow rate of synchronized flow mainly changes with the anticipated velocity, and the F → S phase transition feature mainly changes with the acceleration threshold. Therefore, we conclude that the acceleration threshold is the major factor affecting the F → S phase transition.  相似文献

We study the acceleration of an ion flow in the electron layer formed by an electron flow moving in a transverse electric field and confined by the intrinsic magnetic field. The possibility of extraction of heavy ions with velocities lower than the ion sound velocity from the plasma, and the feasibility of their further acceleration by an external field is demonstrated.  相似文献
