Abstract

Let X be a real Banach space and X? be its dual. Let F: X → X? and K: X? → X be Lipschitz monotone mappings. In this paper an explicit iterative scheme is constructed for approximating solutions of the Hammerstein type equation, 0 = u + KF u, when they exist. Strong convergence of the scheme is obtained under appropriate conditions. Our results improve and unify many of the results in the literature.  相似文献

We formulate and solve the problem of constructing a meromorphic bundle map over a compact Riemann surface X having a prescribed zero-pole structure (including directional information). The output bundle together with the zero-pole data is prespecified while the input bundle and the bundle map are to be determined. The Riemann surface X is assumed to be (birationally) embedded as an irreducible algebraic curve in 2 and both input and output bundles are assumed to be equal to the kernels of determinantal representations for X. In this setting the solution can be found as the joint transfer function of a Livsic-Kravitsky two-operator commutative vessel (2D input-output dynamical system). Also developed is the basic theory of two-operator commutative vessels and the correct analogue of the transfer function for such a system (a meromorphic bundle map between input and output bundles defined over an algebraic curve associated with the vessel) together with a state space realization, a Mittag-Leffler type interpolation theorem and the state space similarity theorem for such bundle mappings. A more abstract version of the zero-pole interpolation problem is also presented.  相似文献

We study different notions of subsolutions for an abstract evolution equation du/dt+Auf where A is an m-accretive nonlinear operation in an ordered Banach space X with order-preserving resolvents. A first notion is related to the operator d/dt+A in the ordered Banach space L 1(0, T; X); a second one uses the evolution equation du/dt+A uf where A :x{y;zy for some zAx}; other notions are also considered.  相似文献

In this paper we prove the following Krasnosel’skii type fixed point theorem: Let M be a nonempty bounded closed convex subset of a Banach space X. Suppose that A:MX and B:XX are two weakly sequentially continuous mappings satisfying:
(i)
AM is relatively weakly compact;
(ii)
B is a strict contraction;
(iii)
.
Then A+B has at least one fixed point in M.This result is then used to obtain some new fixed point theorems for the sum of a weakly compact and a nonexpansive mapping. The results presented in this paper encompass several earlier ones in the literature.  相似文献

We study the existence of positive solutions to the operator equation Lx = Nx, where L is a linear Fredholm mapping of index zero and N is a nonlinear operator. Using the properties of cones in Banach spaces and Leray-Schauder degree for completely continuous operators, k-set contractions and condensing mappings, we obtain some refinements of the results established in [3] and [14]. Weak and strong convergence theorems are proved in real Hilbert spaces for a new class of nonspreading-type mappings more general than the class studied recently in Kurokawa and Takahashi [Y. Kurokawa, W. Takahashi, Weak and strong convergence theorems for nonspreading mappings in Hilbert spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 73 (2010) 1562-1568]. We explored an auxiliary mapping in our theorems and proofs and this also yielded a strong convergence theorem of Halpern’s type for our class of mappings and hence resolved in the affirmative an open problem posed by Kurokawa and Takahashi in their final remark for the case where the mapping T is averaged.  相似文献

Let C be a nonempty, closed and convex subset of a real Hilbert space H. Let Ti:CC,i=1,2,…,N, be a finite family of Lipschitz pseudocontractive mappings. It is our purpose, in this paper, to prove strong convergence of Ishikawa’s method to a common fixed point of a finite family of Lipschitz pseudocontractive mappings provided that the interior of the common fixed points is nonempty. No compactness assumption is imposed either on T or on C. Moreover, computation of the closed convex set Cn for each n≥1 is not required. The results obtained in this paper improve on most of the results that have been proved for this class of nonlinear mappings.  相似文献

Let EE be a uniformly convex Banach space which satisfies Opial’s condition or whose norm is Fréchet differentiable. Recently, Takahashi and Shimoji [W. Takahashi, K. Shimoji, Convergence theorems for nonexpansive mappings and feasibility problems, Math. Comput. Modelling 32 (2000) 1463–1471] introduced an iterative scheme given by finitely many nonexpansive mappings in EE and proved weak convergence theorems which are connected with the problem of image recovery. In this paper we introduce a new iterative scheme which includes their iterative scheme as a special case. Under the assumption that EE is a reflexive Banach space whose norm is uniformly Gâteaux differentiable and which has a weakly continuous duality mapping, we prove strong convergence theorems which are connected with the problem of image recovery. Using the established results, we consider the problem of finding a common fixed point of finitely many nonexpansive mappings.  相似文献

In this paper we study C0-semigroups on X × Lp( − h, 0; X) associated with linear differential equations with delay, where X is a Banach space. In the case that X is a Banach lattice with order continuous norm, we describe the associated modulus semigroup, under minimal assumptions on the delay operator. Let X be an infinite dimensional real reflexive Banach space with dual space X and GX, open and bounded. Assume that X and X are locally uniformly convex. Let T:XD(T)→2X be maximal monotone and strongly quasibounded, S:XD(S)→X maximal monotone, and C:XD(C)→X strongly quasibounded w.r.t. S and such that it satisfies a generalized (S+)-condition w.r.t. S. Assume that D(S)=LD(T)∩D(C), where L is a dense subspace of X, and 0∈T(0),S(0)=0. A new topological degree theory is introduced for the sum T+S+C, with degree mapping d(T+S+C,G,0). The reason for this development is the creation of a useful tool for the study of a class of time-dependent problems involving three operators. This degree theory is based on a degree theory that was recently developed by Kartsatos and Skrypnik just for the single-valued sum S+C, as above.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem by the hybrid method for a countable family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We also establish a new control condition for the sequence of mappings {Tn} which is weaker than the control condition in Lemma 3.1 of Aoyama et al. [K. Aoyama, Y. Kimura, W. Takahashi and M. Toyoda, Approximation of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 67 (2007) 2350-2360]. Moreover, we apply our results for finding a common fixed point of two relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space and an element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in a Banach space, respectively. Recently Proinov [P.D. Proinov, A generalization of the Banach contraction principle with high order of convergence of successive approximations, Nonlinear Analysis (2006), doi:10.1016/j.na.2006.09.008] generalized Banach contraction principle with high order of convergence. We extend some results of Proinov to the case of multi-valued maps from a complete metric space XX into the space of all nonempty proximinal closed subsets of XX. Our results not only generalize Nadler’s fixed-point theorem (in the case when TT is a mapping from a complete metric space XX into the space of all nonempty proximinal closed subsets of XX) but also gives high order of convergence. As an application, we obtain an existence theorem for first-order initial value problem.  相似文献

This paper provides a new fixed point theorem for increasing self-mappings G:BB of a closed ball BX, where X is a Banach semilattice which is reflexive or has a weakly fully regular order cone X+. Let X be a real reflexive Banach space and be maximal monotone. Let be quasibounded, finitely continuous and generalized pseudomonotone with X′⊂D(B), where X′ is a dense subspace of X such that X′∩D(A)≠∅. Let S⊂X∗. Conditions are given under which and intS⊂intR(A+B). Results of Browder concerning everywhere defined continuous and bounded operators B are improved. Extensions of this theory are also given using the degree theory of the last two authors concerning densely defined perturbations of nonlinear maximal monotone operators which satisfy a generalized (S+)-condition. Applications of this extended theory are given involving nonlinear parabolic problems on cylindrical domains.  相似文献
