The classical Kramer sampling theorem, which provides a method for obtaining orthogonal sampling formulas, can be formulated in a more general nonorthogonal setting. In this setting, a challenging problem is to characterize the situations when the obtained nonorthogonal sampling formulas can be expressed as Lagrange-type interpolation series. In this article a necessary and sufficient condition is given in terms of the zero removing property. Roughly speaking, this property concerns the stability of the sampled functions on removing a finite number of their zeros.  相似文献

Weak martingale Hardy spaces and weak atomic decompositions   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
In this paper we define some weak martingale Hardy spaces and three kinds of weak atoms. They are the counterparts of martingale Hardy spaces and atoms in the classical martingale Hp-theory. And then three atomic decomposition theorems for martingales in weak martingale Hardy spaces are proved. With the help of the weak atomic decompositions of martingale, a sufficient condition for a sublinear operator defined on the weak martingale Hardy spaces to be bounded is given. Using the sufficient condition, we obtain a series of martingale inequalities with respect to the weak Lp-norm, the inequalities of weak (p ,p)-type and some continuous imbedding relationships between various weak martingale Hardy spaces. These inequalities are the weak versions of the basic inequalities in the classical martingale Hp-theory.  相似文献

In a variety of insurance risk models, ruin-related quantities in the class of expected discounted penalty function (EDPF) were known to satisfy defective renewal equations that lead to explicit solutions. Recent development in the ruin literature has shown that similar defective renewal equations exist for a more general class of quantities than that of EDPF. This paper further extends the analysis of this new class of functions in the context of a spectrally negative Lévy risk model. In particular, we present an operator-based approach as an alternative analytical tool in comparison with fluctuation theoretic methods used for similar quantities in the current literature. The paper also identifies a sufficient and necessary condition under which the classical results from defective renewal equation and those from fluctuation theory are interchangeable. As a by-product, we present a series representation of scale function as well as potential measure in terms of compound geometric distribution.  相似文献

Existence of globally bounded classical solution for nonisentropic gas dynamics system has long been studied, especially in the case of polytropic gas. In [4], Liu claimed that sufficient condition has been established. However, the authors find that the argument he used is not true in general. In this article, the authors give a counter example of his argument. Hence, his claim is not valid. The authors believe that it is difficult to impose general conditions on the initial data to obtain globally bounded classical solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the optimal dividend problem for a classical risk model with a constant force of interest. For such a risk model, a sufficient condition under which a barrier strategy is the optimal strategy is presented for general claim distributions. When claim sizes are exponentially distributed, it is shown that the optimal dividend policy is a barrier strategy and the maximal dividend-value function is a concave function. Finally, some known results relating to the distribution of aggregate dividends before ruin are extended.  相似文献

This paper introduces a new concept of exceptional family of elements (abbreviated, exceptional family) for a finite-dimensional nonlinear variational inequality problem. By using this new concept, we establish a general sufficient condition for the existence of a solution to the problem. Such a condition is used to develop several new existence theorems. Among other things, a sufficient and necessary condition for the solvability of pseudo-monotone variational inequality problem is proved. The notion of coercivity of a function and related classical existence theorems for variational inequality are also generalized. Finally, a solution condition for a class of nonlinear complementarity problems with so-called P * -mappings is also obtained.  相似文献

In the present paper, we study a necessary condition under which the solutions of a stochastic differential equation governed by unbounded control processes, remain in an arbitrarily small neighborhood of a given set of constraints. We prove that, in comparison to the classical constrained control problem with bounded control processes, a further assumption on the growth of control processes is needed in order to obtain a necessary and sufficient condition in terms of viscosity solution of the associated Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation. The Hilbert scheme of n points in the projective plane has a natural stratification obtained from the associated Hilbert series. In general, the precise inclusion relation between the closures of the strata is still unknown. Guerimand, Ph.D Thesis, Universite’de Nice, 2002 studied this problem for strata whose Hilbert series are as close as possible. Preimposing a certain technical condition he obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for the incidence of such strata. In this paper we present a new approach, based on deformation theory, to Guerimand’s result. This allows us to show that the technical condition is not necessary. In this paper, we obtain a new system of canonical integral equations for the plane elasticity problem over an exterior circular domain, and give its numerical solution. Coupling with the classical finite element method, it can be used for solving general plane elasticity exterior boundary value problems. This system of highly singular equations is also an exact boundary condition on the artificial boundary. It can be approximated by a series of nonsingular integral boundary conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, an easily verifiable necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of positive periodic solutions of generalized n-species Lotka-Volterra type and Gilpin-Ayala type competition systems is obtained. It improves a series of the well-known sufficiency theorems in the literature about the problems mentioned above. The method is based on a well-known fixed point theorem in a cone of Banach space. This paper is the sequel of a previous work where we showed a general necessary and sufficient condition for the stability of an arbitrary molecular system (possibly ionized) in the framework of Hartree or Thomas-Fermi type theories. This condition, roughly speaking, meant that certain particular subsystems have to be bound. We show here in particular that this condition reduces for general molecular system with nonnegative excess charge to the binding of all subsystems with the same property. For neutral inolecular systems, this reduces to the binding of all neutral subsystems. In both cases, all other subsystems can be bound. We also show that, for the Hartree-Fock and Hartree models, this condition involves only “physical” sulxystems We use these reduced conditions to conclude allout the stability or the binding in some particular cases. This work 1s also the second of a series devoted to these equations and we shall come back on the binding of neutral systems in Part 3.  相似文献

Reaction–diffusion systems are widely used to describespatio-temporal phenomena in a variety of scientific fields,including population ecology. In this paper, I demonstrate thatexisting results for coexistence and permanence of general Lotka–Volterrasystems with absorbing boundaries can be applied in a complementarymanner to address a variety of boundary conditions, includingthe insulating problem. Furthermore, the condition is applicableeven to systems containing positive feedback mechanisms in thedynamics. A single (vector) inequality, the first iterate condition,is derived which serves as a sufficient condition for coexistence,permanence and resilience. Additionally, I demonstrate thatthis inequality condition is but the first in a series of conditionsthat can be used to describe the behaviour of such systems.Finally, I provide a comparison between the iterate conditionsand an alternative test for solution resiliency.  相似文献
