We discuss diffractive production in the context of two-component models. After defining the class of models that we consider and discussing their general properties, we develop integral equations for the generating functions of diffractive processes. We consider single and double diffraction and two fireball production. We investigate the behavior of the partial cross sections for n-particle production in all three cases and obtain a successful fit to recent data. 相似文献

We review the physical content of the two simplest models of reggeon field theory: namely the eikonal and the Schwimmer models.
The AGK cutting rules are used to obtain the inclusive, the inelastic and the diffractive cross sections. The system of non-linear
equations for these cross sections is written down and analytic expressions for its solution are obtained. We derive the rapidity
gap dependence of the differential cross sections for diffractive dissociation in the Schwimmer model and in its eikonalized
extension. The results are interpreted from the partonic viewpoint of the interaction at high energies.

An absolute interferometric test of two-level binary Fresnel zone plates (FZPs) is presented. Five measurements with a wavefront testing interferometer are required to fully separate interferometer errors from those of the FZP. The method provides both errors, pattern errors and surface figure errors of the zone plate absolutely. The test method is suitable for zone mirrors and zone lenses. Test setups are explained, equations are derived and experimental results are presented. Further, applications of the absolute diffractive test method are described. For the estimation of the accuracy of the diffractive calibration method a comparison with the classical three-position test was carried out. 相似文献

We present a study of the diffractive production in direct photon processes at HERA based on the factorization theorem for lepton-induced hard diffractive
scattering and the factorization formalism of the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) for quarkonia production. Using the diffractive
gluon distribution function extracted from HERA data on diffractive deep inelastic scattering and diffractive dijet photon
production, we demonstrate that this process is measurable at DESY HERA. The experimental study of this process can give valuable
insight in the diffractive production mechanism and test the color-octet mechanism for heavy quarkonia production in a new
environment.

Near-resonant conditions lead to a strong interaction between saddle node and modulational instabilities in diffractive optical frequency down-conversion systems. The study of such an interaction reveals a new type of stable phase-locked mixed-mode hexagonal structure below the lasing threshold. Without this interaction, hexagonal structures do not exist. The analytical expression of the threshold associated with these structures is derived. Numerical solutions of the governing equations are in close agreement with analytical predictions. 相似文献

In this work, convex diffractive microlenses are designed for fabrication in GaN-based material with a gray-level mask. The aspect ratios of the surface relief of plano-convex and double-convex microlenses for different numerical apertures are compared to reduce the fabrication difficulty. The results show that for the numerical aperture less than 0.6, the aspect ratio of the double-convex diffractive microlenses is around half of the plano-convex diffractive microlenses. For the numerical aperture higher than 0.6, the aspect ratio of the plano-convex diffractive microlenses is similar to the double-convex diffractive microlenses. The error of the surface relief of the microlens occurring during the fabrication process is also discussed. 相似文献

We review diffractive deep inelastic scattering (DIS) in the light of the collinear factorization theorem. This theorem allows
one to define diffractive parton distributions in the leading twist approach. Due to its selective final states, diffractive
DIS offers interesting insight into the form of the diffractive parton distributions which we explore with the help of the
saturation model. We find Regge-like factorization with the correct energy dependence measured at HERA. A remarkable feature
of diffractive DIS is the dominance of the twist-4 contribution for small diffractive masses. We quantify this effect and
make a comparison with the data.

Fourier transform techniques permit an efficient solution of the free-space and medium propagation equations. 光栅透镜因其独特的光学性能而具有广泛的应用.根据光栅透镜的线宽和间距微小渐变的特点,建立了光栅透镜的物理模型,并利用严格模式理论对其衍射特性进行分析.该方法物理概念清晰、公式简洁.对光栅透镜实现谐波分离、聚焦功能时的衍射效率与槽深关系的计算结果表明,其计算速度快、数值计算结果准确可靠.并对加工误差的影响进行了模拟计算,说明了在当前的微细加工的工艺水平条件下,能够制作出满足ICF系统要求的光栅透镜.实验上制作了尺寸为100 mm的大面积光栅透镜,其衍射效率的实验测试结果与理论计算结果一致. 相似文献

The notion of a pomeron structure function arises in a model of electromagnetic diffractive scattering based on Regge factorization.
Due to its small size we expect gluon recombination to occur significantly in the pomeron. The latest data from H1 (1999)
show a evolution in qualitative accordance with the GLR-MQ equations; these are the DGLAP (Altarelli–Parisi) equations corrected
for the effect of gluon recombination.

A numerical model in terms of rate equations for lateral mode amplitudes for analysing static and dynamic properties of moderately broad stripe (tens of microns) laser diodes is proposed and used for modeling lasers with longitudinally or laterally intermixed passive areas. The diffractive beam parameters of LP01 mode of fiber are analyzed in detail. Based on solving linear equations, two formulas for two kinds of mode-field radii as functions of normalized frequency are presented, and relations between angular radius of far-field divergence, beam propagation factor, and normalized frequency are given. We calculate the cross section of diffractive charge-parity neutral meson production in virtual photon proton collision at high energies. Due to the opposite -parities of photon and meson () this process probes the -channel odderon exchange which is described here as noninteracting three–gluon exchange. Estimates for the cross section of inelastic
diffractive process are presented. The total cross section of diffractive meson photoproduction is found to be 47 pb. The cross sections for the diffractive production of light mesons () in collisions are of the same order if the photon virtuality is .
