This paper presents several methods for functional approximation with variable-knot variable-degree splines, with variable-knot first order splines, which are relatively easy to find, as the intermediate input. By means of a fuzzy characteristic function determining how “sharp” the angle at each knot is (the higher the polynomial degree, the “sharper” its first order spline approximation bends), we can decide whether we can group certain adjacent segments together to be approximated by a single higher order polynomial segment. Some simulation experiments have also been done.  相似文献

We extend the usual notion of fuzzy set in such a way that the elements of fuzzy sets again can be fuzzy sets. For such fuzzy sets of higher level the fuzzy set theoretic operations are generalized up to the notion of a fuzzy mapping. In our presentation of the results we use a suitable many valued logic, indicating in this way the close formal connections between fuzzy and classical set theory.  相似文献

The theory of fuzzy power sets requires the use of an implication operator acting within the set of values taken by the membership functions of the fuzzy sets. Our purpose in this paper is first of all to build an axiomatic generalization for the nonprobabilistic entropy of De Luca and Termini in the setting of fuzzy sets theory.We then build from this entropy an indetermination measure which can be used like discriminant function in Pattern Recognition when patterns are described by means of fuzzy sets.  相似文献

On the basis of fuzzy sets theory, we propose a method for structuring hierarchy for the several complex problems, and call it Fuzzy Structural Modeling (FSM) method. An important requirement for structural modeling of complex systems is that the necessary data is acquired and organized into a form such that a structural model can be developed. The main purpose of this method is to describe and illustrate a formal procedure for constructing the graphic presentation of the hierarchical arrangement given the necessary information concerning the relation of each element to each other element. The procedure permits an automatic development of the graphic structure that portrays the hierarchy.  相似文献

When R is a fuzzy relation between the elements of a finite set X, the fuzzy sets A of X such that R ° A = A (MAX-MIN composition) are called eigen fuzzy sets. The main result of this paper is the determination of the greatest eigen fuzzy set associated with a given fuzzy relation and we give three methods illustrated by an example. We then state that the greatest eigen fuzzy set associated with R?, the transitive closure of R, is exactly the one associated with R. Finally we describe how to obtain all fuzzy relations keeping invariant a given fuzzy set.  相似文献

Series of fuzzy sets with weakly closed, weakly compact or compact α-levels are considered. The basic space is Banach space. The subject of this paper is investigation of infinite addition of fuzzy sets and condition when the sum of α-levels is equal to the α-level of the sum. The results in this paper complement and complete some previous results proved by the same authors in Stojaković and Stojaković [Addition and series of fuzzy sets, Fuzzy Sets and Systems 83 (1996) 341–346] for the series with compact α-levels.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate two kinds of algebras of fuzzy sets, which are obtained by using Zadeh's extension principle. We give conditions under which a homomorphism between two algebras induces a homomorphism between corresponding algebras of fuzzy sets. We prove that if the structure of truth values is a complete residuated lattice, the induced algebra of a subalgebra of an algebra can be embedded into the induced algebra of fuzzy sets of . For direct products we give conditions under which the direct product of algebras of fuzzy sets could be embedded into the algebra of fuzzy sets of the direct product. In the case of homomorphisms and direct products, the two kinds of algebras of fuzzy sets behave in different ways.  相似文献

This paper aims to show how, by using a threshold-based approach, a path from imprecise information to a crisp ‘decision’ can be developed. It deals with the problem of the logical transformation of a fuzzy set into a crisp set. Such threshold arises from the ideas of contradiction and separation, and allows us to prove that crisp sets can be structurally considered as classes of discontinuous fuzzy sets. It is also shown that continuous fuzzy sets are computationally indistinguishable from some kind of discontinuous fuzzy sets.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a method to construct more general fuzzy sets using ordinary fuzzy sets as building blocks. We introduce the concept of multi-fuzzy sets in terms of ordered sequences of membership functions. The family of operations T, S, M of multi-fuzzy sets are introduced by coordinate wise t-norms, s-norms and aggregation operations. We define the notion of coordinate wise conjugation of multifuzzy sets, a method for obtaining Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy operations from multi-fuzzy sets. We show that various binary operations in Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy sets are equivalent to some operations in multi-fuzzy sets like M operations, 2-conjugates of the T and S operations. It is concluded that multi-fuzzy set theory is an extension of Zadeh’s fuzzy set theory, Atanassov’s intuitionsitic fuzzy set theory and L-fuzzy set theory.  相似文献
