In this paper, we treat an inverse problem for a radially symmetric heat equation, which arises from non-destructive evaluation by thermal imaging. The problem can also be considered as an inverse heat conduction problem. Based on a weighted energy method, we give a conditional stability estimate. A feasible regularization method is provided for numerical simulation. The reconstruction experiment is done for verifying the efficiency of the regularization method.  相似文献

Necessary and sufficient conditions are given on the data for completability of a partial symmetric inverse M-matrix, the graph of whose specified entries is a cycle, and these conditions coincide with those we identify to be necessary in the general (nonsymmetric) case. Graphs for which all partial symmetric inverse M-matrices have symmetric inverse M-matrix completions are identified and these include those that arise in the general (positionally symmetric) case. However, the identification of all such graphs is more subtle than the general case. Finally, we show that our new cycle conditions are sufficient for completability of all partial symmetric inverse M-matrices, the graph of whose specified entries is a block graph.  相似文献

The problem of stationary axially symmetric jet flour of a viscous incompressible fluid from a round tube into a free space is considered. The mathematical model of this flow in the Mises variables and for large Reynolds numbers is reduced to the boundary-value problem for a degenerate integro-differential equation of the second order. The existence and uniqueness of bounded solutions to this problem are proved, and stabilization as a time-like variable increases is shown. Bibliography: 7 titles. In this paper, we consider the following inverse eigenvalue problem: to construct a real symmetric doubly arrow matrix A from the minimal and maximal eigenvalues of all its leading principal submatrices. The necessary and sufficient condition for the solvability of the problem is derived. We also give a necessary and sufficient condition in order that the constructed matrices can be nonnegative. Our results are constructive and they generate algorithmic procedures to construct such matrices.  相似文献

In this paper we construct the symmetric quasi anti-bidiagonal matrix that its eigenvalues are given, and show that the problem is also equivalent to the inverse eigenvalue problem for a certain symmetric tridiagonal matrix which has the same eigenvalues. Not only elements of the tridiagonal matrix come from quasi anti-bidiagonal matrix, but also the places of elements exchange based on some conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we first give the representation of the general solution of the following inverse eigenvalue problem (IEP): Given XRn×p and a diagonal matrix ΛRp×p, find real-valued symmetric (2r+1)-diagonal matrices M and K such that MXΛ=KX. We then consider an optimal approximation problem: Given real-valued symmetric (2r+1)-diagonal matrices Ma,KaRn×n, find such that where SMK is the solution set of IEP. Based on the theory of inverse eigenvalue problem, a correction of an approximate model is discussed, which can be formulated as NX=XΛ, where X and Λ are given identified modal and eigenvalues matrices, respectively. The solvability conditions for a symmetric skew-Hamiltonian matrix N are established and an explicit expression of the solutions is derived. For any estimated matrix C of the analytical model, the best approximation matrix to minimize the Frobenius norm of C − N is provided and some numerical results are presented. A perturbation analysis of the solution is also performed, which has scarcely appeared in existing literatures. Let R ∈ Cn×n be a nontrivial involution, i.e., R2 = I and R ≠ ±I. A matrix A ∈ Cn×n is called R-skew symmetric if RAR = −A. The least-squares solutions of the matrix inverse problem for R-skew symmetric matrices with R∗ = R are firstly derived, then the solvability conditions and the solutions of the matrix inverse problem for R-skew symmetric matrices with R∗ = R are given. The solutions of the corresponding optimal approximation problem with R∗ = R for R-skew symmetric matrices are also derived. At last an algorithm for the optimal approximation problem is given. It can be seen that we extend our previous results [G.X. Huang, F. Yin, Matrix inverse problem and its optimal approximation problem for R-symmetric matrices, Appl. Math. Comput. 189 (2007) 482-489] and the results proposed by Zhou et al. [F.Z. Zhou, L. Zhang, X.Y. Hu, Least-square solutions for inverse problem of centrosymmetric matrices, Comput. Math. In this paper, we consider a spherically symmetric inverse heat conduction problem of determining the internal surface temperature of a hollow sphere from the measured data at a fixed location inside it. This is an ill-posed problem in the sense that the solution (if it exists) does not depend continuously on the data. A Tikhonov type’s regularization method and a Fourier regularization method are applied to formulate regularized solutions which are stably convergent to the exact ones with order optimal error estimates.  相似文献

In this note it is proved that x(·) a boundary trajectory of a Lipschitz-continuous differential inclusion ? ? F(t, x), x(0) = 0, the tangent cone to F(t, x(t)) at ?(t) that of attainable set E(t) at x(t) coincide for almost every t provided that ?F(t, x) is smooth (similar results with more stringent assumptions were obtained by H. Hermes (J. Differential Equations3 (1967), 256–270) and S. ?ojasiewicz, Jr. (Asterisque75–76 (1980), 187–197)). It is also proved that the outward normal to these cones along the trajectory is Lipschitz-continuous (in t). Moreover, using the lower, one-side, directional derivative instead of F. H. Clarke's generalised gradient, first-order necessary conditions are obtained, which can be stronger than those of Clarke (in “International Symposium on the Calculus of Variation and Optimal Control, University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin, September 1975”). The main ideas of this paper were presented in J. Hale's seminar at Brown University (March 1976).  相似文献

Using a third order Picard-Fuchs equation we show that a certain two parameter family of planar vectorfields for parameter values in a certain cone has a unique limit cycle, which is born from a Hopf bifurcation and dies in a saddle connection. We consider the pressure of a plate on a half-space with a round cylindrical cavity. The surface of the cavity is reinforced by elastic elements that are modeled by very general operators. The problem is reduced to a Fredholm integral equation of second kind. A detailed study is made of the case of reinforcement described by the Winkler law. In this paper we study the global existence of BV solution to two-dimensional piston problem in fluid dynamics. Different from previous results on related problems we remove the restriction on the strength of the leading shock and require the velocity of the piston is rather fast or the density is quite small instead. The main tool in our proof is Glimm Scheme with some improvement. To define the Glimm functional we derive more precise estimates for the interaction of elementary waves, particularly in the region near the leading shock.
