Measurements of the complex susceptibility =i of electron-irradiated YBa2Cu3O7– show a strong influence of the electron irradiation dose, ·t on the transition temperatureT c . For irradiation doses of ·t=2.2·1019 e/cm2 we find a damage rate of T c /(·t)=–1.6·10–19 K/(e/cm2). It is assumed that the decrease ofT c is mainly a bulk effect due to the production of atomic defects like vacancies and interstitials in the Cu–O–Cu chains and in the basal planes of the unit cells.  相似文献

The new application of electron-spin resonance to paramagnetic monolayers on well characterized surfaces (LEED, AES) in UHV is described. The high sensitivity of ESR is demonstrated for 10–2 monolayers NO2 adsorbed on Xe/Ag(111), corresponding to 1012 detectable molecules. For monolayers of Gd(0001) on W(110) the critical exponent of the susceptibility and the ordering temperatureT c are determined by analysing the ESR intensity and resonance field forTT c + . Both determinations independently give a monolayerT c of app. 271 K. The critical exponent changes from 2D to 3D Ising-values for monolayers to thicker films.  相似文献

An approach is developed which allows us to interpret in statistical terms the quantities involved in the expression,a(1–xF) c exp (–b.P T) which is used for parameterization of the high energy inclusive muon pair production. In particular, withs being the number of sorts of constituents (partons, quarks),x F=1–1/s and [b.(P T)0]s 1 whereb. (P T)0 is the dimensionless slope and (P T)0 fixes the scale of the transverse momentum; furthermore, the parameterc itself determines the number of elementary creations of the constituents under investigation. The results of magnetic measurements and ferromagnetic resonance studies performed on U(Fe x Al1–x )2 and U(Fe y Ni1–y )2 compounds over a large temperature range are reported. The saturation magnetization decreases nearly linearly when substituting Fe by Al or Ni. In the composition range x<0.84 and y<0.81, the compounds are Pauli paramagnets, except in the region with y0.10. For UNi2 two types of magnetic behaviours are shown. This compound can be both a ferromagnet withT c =23.5 K and a Pauli paramagnet, depending on the crystal structure. Above the Curie temperatures, the reciprocal susceptibility for the compounds with x>0.84 and y>0.81 obeys a temperature dependence of the formX=X o+C(T-) –1. The effective iron moments decrease when substituting iron by nickel or aluminium. The ferromagnetic resonance measurements show that theg values are not composition-dependent. A linear variation of the mean iron magnetization with the exchange field is observed. Finally, the magnetic behaviour of iron in these compounds is analysed.  相似文献

Amorphous Bi2DyFe5O12 films have been prepared by rf sputtering technique. The magnetic properties, structure and effect of annealing have been investigated. The magnetization increases with increasing magnetic field and is not saturated at a high magnetic field of 65 kOe. In the temperature range 20 K<T<200 K the susceptibility can be described by a Curie-Weiss law with a Weiss constant of =–15 K. The effective paramagnetic moment for the iron ion (4.1 B ) is much smaller than the theoretical moment (5.9 B ). Above 200 K the slope in –1 vsT curve changes. The Weiss constant and effective paramagnetic moment for the iron ion increase. After annealing above 600°C the amorphous samples crystallize to a single garnet phase with the magnetization of 21 emu/g at 1.5 K and 7.2 emu/g at 300 K, which are the same as those of the bulk Bi2DyFe5O12 garnet ferrites.  相似文献

The contact angle at the intersection of a grain boundary in Al bicrystals with the solid Al/liquid Al–Sn interphase boundary has been measured for two symmetric tilt <011> {001} grain boundaries with tilt angles of 32° and 38.5°. The temperature dependencies (T) present the evidence of the grain boundary wetting phase transition at Tw. The observed hysteresis is consistent with the assumption that the wetting transition is of first order. The determined discontinuity in the temperature derivative of the grain boundary energy is–5.6 J/m2K (T w1=617°C) for the boundary with a low energy (=38.5°) and –17 J/m2K (T w2=604°C) for the grain boundary with a high energy (=32°).  相似文献

Magnetic properties of rf sputtered (0.5–x) Bi2O3-x CaO-0.5 Fe2O3 (x=0–0.5) have been studied through magnetization and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) measurements. Films prepared in a mixed oxygen-argon atmosphere are amorphous and paramagnetic. Samples annealed in air at temperatures of 700–1000 K show a ferrimagnetic behavior even though X-ray diffraction data for the films do not indicate the precipitation of any crystalline ferrimagnetic compounds. The room-temperature saturation magnetization 4M and the uniaxial anisotropy field H u , decrease with increasing x. The Curie temperature and the gyromagnetic ratio increase with increase in the concentration of CaO. Studies on the effects of sputtering atmospheres on magnetic parameters show that films sputtered in oxygen-rich atmospheres have a large 4M and H u , and a relatively small and FMR line-width. Ordered amorphous clusters are suggested to give rise to the observed ferrimagnetic character in the annealed films.  相似文献

Real glass transitions, where activated processes are included, are analysed near Whitney fold and cusp singularities. In particular the temperature dependence of the viscosity is studied. For sufficiently strongly coupled systems there is close to a fold singularity located atT=T c , a crossover from an algebraic divergence (TT c ) forT>T c , to an Arrhenius dependence exp(E/k B T) forT<T c . If a parameter vector specifying the system also passes close to a cusp singularity, atT 0<T c , there may be a temperature region where the viscosity also shows Fogel-Fulcher like dependence. The results for the viscosity are intimately connected with the dynamics for the so-called -relaxation process, where relaxation occurs via a fractal time process in the delevant time region.  相似文献

We have measured the normal statedc conductivity , the superconducting transition temperatureT c and the critical superconducting currentI c0 of frozen Sn–Xe mixtures in dependence of the Sn atomic fractionc. A new, high-T c phase is observed forc between 0.58±0.02 and 0.74±0.02. This phase has aT c-value of about 5.7 K, it shows a strong decrease in and inI c0 and transforms into disordered Sn during annealing between 15 K and 50 K.It is a pleasure for us to dedicate this paper to Prof. Dr. S. The magnetic properties of superconducting GdBa2Cu3O7–x withT c95 K are measured. In the normal state, its susceptibility closely follows the Curie law with an effective moment of 7.77 B .H c1 is determined to be 650 Oe. No superconducting fluctuation can be delineated. Flux pinning indicated behavior of type II superconductors. A 25–405 diamagnetic state indicating bulk superconductivity in GdBa2Cu3O7–x .  相似文献

Monte Carlo calculations of the thermodynamic properties (energy, specific heat, magnetization suceptibility, renormalized coupling) of the nearest-neighbour Ising ferromagnet on a five-dimensional hypercubic lattice are presented and analyzed. Lattices of linear dimensionsL=3, 4, 5, 6, 7 with periodic boundary conditions are studied, and a finite size scaling analysis is performed, further confirming the recent suggestion thatL does not scale with the correlation length (the temperature variation of which near the critical temperatureT c is |1-T/T c |–1/2), but rather with a thermodynamic lengthl (withl|1-T/T c |–2/d ,d=5 here). The susceptibility (extrapolated to the thermodynamic limit) agrees quantitatively with high temperature series extrapolations of Guttmann. The problem of fluctuation corrections to the leading (Landau-like) critical behaviour is briefly discussed, and evidence given for a specific-heat singularity of the form |1-T/T c |1/2, superimposed on its leading jump.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. H.E. The negative muon () was used as a microscopic probe for the study of the electronic state at the oxygen site in highT c related LaSrCuO materials. Using good single crystals, two types of signals are obtained corresponding to two different oxygen sites: one highly anisotropic, which shows a large (order of 1%) shift under the magnetic field inc-axis direction, the other less anisotropic and with a smaller amplitude (order of 0.2%). These results of OSR show quit a difference with the result of17O-NMR, where the paramagnetic shift has axial symmetry along the Cu-O bond direction and a magnitude of the order of 0.2% and 0.05%.  相似文献

A dispersion representation for the static energy-density correlation function 2 (q) 2(–q) c =C(q,T)=A+Bt h(z 2), wherez=q , t=(T—T)c/T c and is the correlation length, is discussed.h(z 2) is calculated to order 2 in the zero-field critical region (T>T c) for the standard isotropicn-component 4Ginzburg-Landau-Wilson model. Utilizing a procedure similar to that introduced by Bray for the two-point correlation function, the-expansion results are used in conjunction with an approximant for the spectral functionF(z/2) Imh(—z 2) based on the asymptotically exact short-distance expansion resulth –1(z 2)z /v[D 0+D 1 z –(1 —)/v +D 2 z –1/v ] to predict quantitatively the full momentum dependence ofC(q,T) forT>T c. In contrast to the two-point correlation function,C(q,T) is found to be a monotonic function as the critical temperature is approached at fixedq (forT>T c).  相似文献

Zero field SR spectra from Cr85Mo15 are well described by the sum of a lightly damped (0.02s–1<1<0.2s–1) and a heavily damped (2s–1<2<15s–1) exponential. The temperature dependence of these components is discussed in relation to the condensation of the incommensurate spin density wave and the onset of the antiferromagnetic state in this Cr-like alloy below TN=120K. Evidence is presented for the nucleation of the spin density wave at temperatures greater than 1.5TN.  相似文献

Using a SQUID magnetometer the magnetization of the Ising ferromagnet dysprosium ethyl sulphate has been measured in the temperature range 0.015–3K and in external fields 0.004–30 Oe. The results atT0.4 K (precritical regime) confirm the pure dipolar nature of the magnetic interactions. Particular interest has been paid to the immediate neighbourhood of the critical pointT c =118.17 mK andH=0 where the zero-field susceptibility(T) aboveT c , the spontaneous magnetizationM s (T), and the magnetization atT c ,M c (H), can be described by mean field laws modified by logarithmic singularities. The critical amplitudes, B, andD of, M s andM c , respectively, satisfy the relation (2/3B 2)1/3=D. All these results agree with predictions of (i) the Larkin-Khmel'nitskii theory and (ii) exact solutions of the renormalization group equations for 3-dimensional dipolar Ising ferromagnets.  相似文献

We study the spectrum of the HamiltonianH onl 2() given by (H)(n)=(n+1)+(n–1)+V(n)(n) with the hierarchical (ultrametric) potentialV(2 m (2l+1))=(1–R m )/(1–R), corresponding to 1-, 2-, and 3-dimensional Coulomb potentials for 0<R<1,R=1 andR>1, respectively, in a suitably chosen valuation metric. We prove that the spectrum is a Cantor set and gaps open at the eigenvaluese n (1)<e n (2)<...<e n (2 n –1) of the Dirichlet problemH=E, (0)=(2 n )=0,n1. In the gap opening ate n (k) the integrated density of states takes on the valuek/2 n . The spectrum is purely singular continuous forR1 when the potential is unbounded, and the Lyapunov exponent vanishes in the spectrum. The spectrum is purely continuous forR<1 in (H)[–2, 2] and =0 here, but one cannot exclude the presence of eigenvalues near the border of the spectrum. Amorphous films of Sm100–x Co x with 70x90 were made by vapor deposition on flat glass substrates at 300 K with a magnetic field parallel to the film plane, as described in a preceding paper; the field induces a uniaxial anisotropyK u of the order 106 erg cm–3 with the easy axis,x, in the film plane. The film plane (xy plane) is the easy plane with a planar anisotropyK p of the order 107 erg cm–3, i.e. the film normal,z, is the hard axis. For such films, torque curvesT(H, ) (: angle betweenH and an axis normal to the axis of rotation) are calculated, and are measured in fieldsH 30 kOe for the three axes of rotation,x, y, andz. The results are evaluated to give the spontaneous magnetization, M, the anisotropies,K u ,K p , the rotational hysteresis losses,W Rx (H),W Ry (H),W Rz (H), and the rotational hysteresis integrals,R x ,R y ,R z .  相似文献

Thed-dimensional random Cantor set is a generalization of the classical middle-thirds Cantor set. Starting with the unit cube [0, 1] d , at every stage of the construction we divide each cube remaining intoM d equal subcubes, and select each of these at random with probabilityp. The resulting limit set is a random fractal, which may be crossed by paths or (d–1)-dimensional sheets. We examine the critical probabilityp s(M, d) marking the existence of these sheet crossings, and show that ps(M,d)1–pc(M d) asM, where pc(M d) is the critical probability of site percolation on the lattice (M d) obtained by adding the diagonal edges to the hypercubic lattice d. This result is then used to show that, at least for sufficiently large values ofM, the phases corresponding to the existence of path and sheet crossings are distinct.  相似文献
