Excitation functions of the 15N(p, γ)16O proton capture reaction have been obtained at θγ = 45° and Ep = 150–2500 keV. Below Ep = 400 keV, the reaction is dominated by capture into the ground state of 16O. The observed excitation function for the latter process can be explained if, in addition to the two well-known Jπ = 1? resonances at Ep = 338 and 1028 keV, a direct radiative capture process (DC → 0) is included in the analysis. The direct capture component in the capture reaction is enhanced through interference effects on the tails of the two resonances. From the observed direct capture cross section, a single-particle spectroscopic factor of C2S(1p) = 1.8 ± 0.4 has been deduced for the ground state in 16O. The extrapolated astrophysical S-factor of S(0) = 64 ± 6 keV · b for the 15N(p, γ0)16O reaction is a factor of 2.5 larger than previously reported. This result amplifies the role of the oxygen side cycle in the CNO hydrogen burning process.The observed excitation function of the 15N(p, α1γ1)12C reaction at Ep = 150 – 2500 keV shows that this reaction makes a negligible contribution to hydrogen burning at stellar energies [S(0) ≈ 0.1 keV · b] compared to 15N(p, γ0)16O and15N(p, αo)12C.  相似文献

恒星能量下俘获截面很难直接测量。10Be(n,γ)11Be俘获反应涉及到非均匀宇宙大爆炸核合成,无直接测量实验截面数据。利用转移反应10Be(d,p)11Be的渐近归一化系数(ANC)方法,计算了10Be(n,γ)11Be俘获反应截面和反应率。11Be是中子晕核。研究表明,在恒星能量下俘获到晕态的截面和反应率显著增大。  相似文献

The 12C + 12C fusion cross-sections show a resonant behavior down to the lowest energies accessible so far in the laboratory. If this tendency continues into the astrophysical energy range, the stellar 12C + 12C reaction rates have to be corrected for resonant screening effects, in addition to the conventional screening corrections. We estimate the resonant screening effects in the weak electron screening limit for hydrostatic burning and white-dwarf environments. The special features of the behavior of the potential energy surfaces of the system comprising a highly excited A** atom and a neutral B atom with a filled electronic shell were thoroughly analyzed. This was done using the integral variant of theory combined with the generalized finite radius potential method correctly describing the scattering of a weakly bound electron by the B atom. The method allows P scattering to be taken into account. This scattering causes the additional splitting of potential energy surfaces into separate groups of interacting terms classified according to the projection m of the electron angular momentum l onto the quasimolecular axis. Calculations of the nl(2s + 1Λ) state potential curves of the Na** + He quasi-molecule (n, l, and Λ are the principal quantum number, angular momentum, and its projection onto the molecular axis, and s is the spin of the system) were performed. The excitation function for the elastic-scattering reaction p( 18Ne, p) 18Ne was measured with the first radioactive beam from the SPIRAL facility at the GANIL laboratory and with a solid cryogenic hydrogen target. Several broad resonances have been observed, corresponding to new excited states in the unbound nucleus 19Na. In addition, two-proton emission events have been identified and are discussed.  相似文献

We present a microscopically-founded potential model for the 13N(p, γ)14O reaction at energies of astrophysical interest. The model is shown to reproduce the 13C(p, γ)14Ocross section very well. The 13N(p, γ)14O reaction is dominated by the first excited J = 1? resonance in 14O. For this resonance we find a proton width of Γc.m. = 40.1 keV and a photon width of Γγ = 1.50 eV.  相似文献

The 18O(p, α)15N reaction has been investigated in the energy range Ep = 72–935 keV. The three known resonances above Ep = 620 keV have been confirmed and four new resonances have been found below Ep = 340 keV. All observed resonances correspond to known compound states in 19F. Information on resonance energies, total widths and ωγ values is reported. The low-energy resonances are superimposed on a non-resonant reaction yield, which varies smoothly with beam energy and which exhibits pronounced α-particle angular distributions asymmetric around 90°. The explanation of these data requires either interferring amplitudes of broad resonances with differing parities or a direct (p, α) reaction mechanism. The investigated energy range corresponds to the important temperature range of T = (0.05–2.5) × 109 K. The energy averaged astrophysical reaction rates are compared with predictions.  相似文献

The application to be considered is its use as a high power simulator mainly for testing the klystron ceramic output window, as well as for high power microwave transmission devices. This paper describes the principle of a resonant ring and introduces the structure and property of the newly constructed traveling wave resonant ring at IHEP. Our goal is to produce a 200 MW class resonant ring at 2.856 GHz with a pulse length of 2 μs and repetition rate of 25 Hz. The installation, commissioning and testing of the ring have been completed and a peak power of 200 MW at 3 μs has been achieved. The 16O + 9Be reactions have been studied from Ec.m. = 2.0 MeV to 5.1 MeV, an energy near the top of the Coulomb barrier. The cross section for the neutron transfer reaction 9Be(16O,17O1 (0.87 MeV))8Be has been measured over this range by detecting the prompt 0.87 MeV γ-rays. The total fusion cross section has been determined from Ec.m. = 2.8 to 5.1 MeV by observing individual γ-ray transitions in the evaporation residues with a Ge(Li) detector, and then summing the separate yields. Direct processes are found to dominate the reaction yield below Ec.m. = 4 MeV. A comparison of the energy dependence of the fusion cross section for this reaction and the 12C + 13C reaction, which proceeds via the formation of the same compound nucleus, 25Mg, reveals differences at sub-barrier energies. Optical model and incoming-wave boundary condition calculations are presented. Data have also been obtained for the near optimum Q-value neutron-transfer reactions 9Be(12C, 13C1)8Be and 9Be(19F, 20F)8Be, and these are discussed in terms of a simple model of sub-barrier direct reactions.  相似文献

The15N(ρ, α0)12C reaction has been investigated in the energy range ofE p (lab)=78-810keV. The measurement of the excitation functions and α-particle angular distributions involved solid targets as well as a quasi-point supersonic jet gas target. The determination of absolute cross sections has been carried out with the gas target. The observed energy dependence of the total cross sections can be described in terms of two-level Breit-Wigner shapes including the resonances atE p (J π)=335(1?) and 1,028(1?)keV. The data lead to a zero-energy intercept of the astrophysicalS(E) factor ofS(0)= 65±4MeV-b. The angular distributions are asymmetric around 90° and require an additional amplitude in the reaction mechanism, which interferes predominantly with the 335 keV resonance. The origin of this background amplitude is discussed.  相似文献

A modified hydrodynamic approach using a nonequilibrium equation of state is used to describe heavy-ion collisions at intermediate energies. The calculated energy spectra of protons produced in heavyion collisions are compared to experimental data and the results from calculations based on solving the Vlasov–Uehling–Uhlenbeck (VUU) kinetic equation.  相似文献

The capture reaction4He(12C, γ)16O (E c.m.= 1.34–3.38 MeV) as well as the elastic scattering process4He(12C,12C)4He (E c.m.=1.44–3.38 MeV) have been investigated with the use of an intense12C beam and a windowless and4He recirculating gas target system. The measurements involved two large NaI(T1) crystals in close geometry to an extended gas target, whereby angle-integrated γ-ray yields were obtained. A large area plastic detector was used for the suppression of time-independent background. A search for cascade γ-ray transitions was carried out by coincidence techniques. The measurement of absolute cross sections is also reported. Theoretical fits of the excitation function for the groundstate γ-ray transition requireE1 as well asE2 capture amplitudes, which are of equal importance at stellar energies. This result increases significantly the stellar burning rate of4He(12C, γ)16O and leads to16O as the dominant product at the end of helium burning in massive stars. The observed capture yield to the 6.92 MeV state is dominated by the direct capture mechanism and plays a small role at stellar energies.  相似文献

A rigorous calculation of the resonant energies corresponding to valence sub-band hold transmission maxima is presented for GaAs/AlGaAs double-barrier heterostructures, employing the k.p method, the envelope-function approximation, and transfer matrix techniques. The production of antiprotons in proton-nucleus and deuteron-nucleus collisions is analyzed with respect to one-step nucleon-nucleon (NN → NNp¯ p) and secondary Δ-nucleon (ΔN → NNN¯ p) production channels within a phase-space model incorporating the selfenergies of the baryons. It is found that contrary to nucleus-nucleus collisions the Δ induced reaction channels are of minor importance except at very low bombarding energies. The data from KEK are approximately reproduced when accounting for the internal momentum distribution of the deuteron which provides a natural explanation for the large enhancement of the ¯p cross section ind+A as compared top+A.  相似文献

采用距离相关紧束缚的分子动力学模型,在不同初始温度T0=0.02 K、50 K、100 K、200 K、300 K、400 K时,对Na8+Na8在质心系轰击能量为0.012 5 e V/n的中心碰撞时的反应动力学进行了研究。发现团簇碰撞动力学与初始温度密切相关 。在T0<100 K时,初始温度不影响反应动力学,而在T0=400 K时将对反应动 力学有强烈影响。  相似文献
