Rigidity of noncompact complete Bach-flat manifolds

Let (M,g)$(M,g)$ be a noncompact complete Bach-flat manifold with positive Yamabe constant. We prove that (M,g)$(M,g)$ is flat if (M,g)$(M,g)$ has zero scalar curvature and sufficiently small _L2$L_2$ bound of curvature tensor. When (M,g)$(M,g)$ has nonconstant scalar curvature, we prove that (M,g)$(M,g)$ is conformal to the flat space if (M,g)$(M,g)$ has sufficiently small _L2$L_2$ bound of curvature tensor and _L4/3$L_{4/3}$ bound of scalar curvature.     

Weak mirror symmetry of complex symplectic Lie algebras

A complex symplectic structure on a Lie algebra h$\mathfrak{h}$ is an integrable complex structure J$J$ with a closed non-degenerate (2,0)$(2,0)$-form. It is determined by J$J$ and the real part Ω$\Omega$ of the (2,0)$(2,0)$-form. Suppose that h$\mathfrak{h}$ is a semi-direct product g?V$\mathfrak{g}?V$, and both g$\mathfrak{g}$ and V$V$ are Lagrangian with respect to Ω$\Omega$ and totally real with respect to J$J$. This note shows that g?V$\mathfrak{g}?V$ is its own weak mirror image in the sense that the associated differential Gerstenhaber algebras controlling the extended deformations of Ω$\Omega$ and J$J$ are isomorphic.     

On the parallel transport of the Ricci curvatures

Geometrical characterizations are given for the tensor R⋅S$R\cdot S$, where S$S$ is the Ricci tensor   of a (semi-)Riemannian manifold (M,g)$(M,g)$ and R$R$ denotes the curvature operator   acting on S$S$ as a derivation, and of the Ricci Tachibana tensor  _∧g⋅S${\wedge }_g\cdot S$, where the natural metrical operator  _∧g${\wedge }_g$ also acts as a derivation on S$S$. As a combination, the Ricci curvatures   associated with directions on M$M$, of which the isotropy determines that M$M$ is Einstein, are extended to the Ricci curvatures of Deszcz   associated with directions and planes on M$M$, and of which the isotropy determines that M$M$ is Ricci pseudo-symmetric in the sense of Deszcz.     

On m-accretive Schrödinger-type operators with singular potentials on Riemannian manifolds

We consider a Schrödinger-type differential expression _HV=∇^∗∇+V$H_V={\nabla }^{\ast }\nabla +V$, where ∇$\nabla$ is a Hermitian connection on a Hermitian vector bundle E$E$ over a complete Riemannian manifold (M,g)$(M,g)$ with metric g$g$ and positive smooth measure dμ$d\mu$, and V$V$ is a locally integrable section of the bundle of endomorphisms of E$E$. We give a sufficient condition for m$m$-accretivity of a realization of _HV$H_V$ in L²(E)$L^2\left(E\right)$.     

Minimal hypersurfaces in a nearly Kaehler 6-sphere

In this paper we show that for a compact minimal hypersurface M$M$ of constant scalar curvature in the unit sphere S⁶$S^6$ with the shape operator A$A$ satisfying ‖A‖²>5${\Vert A\Vert }^2>5$, there exists an eigenvalue λ>10$\lambda >10$ of the Laplace operator of the hypersurface M$M$ such that ‖A‖²=λ−5${\Vert A\Vert }^2=\lambda -5$. This gives the next discrete value of ‖A‖²${\Vert A\Vert }^2$ greater than 0 and 5.     

Three PT-symmetric Hamiltonians with completely different spectra

We discuss three Hamiltonians, each with a central-field part H₀$H_0$ and a PT-symmetric perturbation igz$igz$. When H₀$H_0$ is the isotropic Harmonic oscillator the spectrum is real for all g$g$ because H$H$ is isospectral to H₀+g²/2$H_0+g^2/2$. When H₀$H_0$ is the Hydrogen atom then infinitely many eigenvalues are complex for all g$g$. If the potential in H₀$H_0$ is linear in the radial variable r$r$ then the spectrum of H$H$ exhibits real eigenvalues for 0<g<g_c$0<g<g_c$ and a PT phase transition at g_c$g_c$.
