Gamma-ray induced decomposition of solid binary mixtures of KNO3 with halides viz. KCl, KBr and KI has been studied at room temperature. G(NO 2 ) values were found to vary with absorbed dose. Size and electronegativity of anions and molar composition of halides are the other factors influencing radiolysis.  相似文献

The density and surface tension of the pure ionic liquid n-butylpyridinium nitrate ([BuPy]NO3) were determined at temperature range from T = (293.15 to 338.15) K. The coefficient of thermal expansion, molecular volume and lattice energy of [BuPy]NO3 were calculated from the experimental values of density. The surface entropy and enthalpy of [BuPy]NO3 were investigated. The IL studied show much lower surface enthalpy and lattice energy in comparison with fused salts. The densities and surface tensions of binary mixtures of [BuPy]NO3 with water have been measured within the whole composition range at T = 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. Excess molar volumes VE and surface tension deviations δγ were then deduced from the experimental results as well as partial molar volumes and excess partial molar volumes. Excess molar volumes have a negative deviation from ideal behavior and the surface tension deviations are negative over the whole compositions range. VE and δγ were correlated with suitable equation respectively.  相似文献

Differential potentiometric titrations with two different ion-selective indicator electrodes are described. Ion-selective electrodes for Cl-, Br-, I-, F-, S2-, as well as glass and silver billet electrodes were used. The method was tested in the determination of binary mixtures of halides (Cl-, Br-, I-, and F-) by titration with solutions of silver nitrate, alone and mixed with lanthanum or thorium nitrate as required. Various factors influencing the determination were investigated. Results of simultaneous determinations of mixtures were in good agreement with the results of separate determinations within certain concentration limits. The method was successfully applied to the determination of a four-component halide mixture. Titrations of mixtures of fluoride with thiocyanate or hexacyanoferrate(III), and some other possibilities, are also reported.  相似文献

Isothermal saturation, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and X-ray powder diffraction were used to study solubilities of La2O3, Sm2O3, and Ho2O3 in the eutectic mixtures of LiF-ZrF4, NaF-ZrF4, and KF-ZrF4 systems at temperatures from 873 to 1073 K. The solubilities of rare earth oxides in the molten fluorozirconate systems studied decrease in the increasing order of Ln3+ ion radii and in the increasing order of alkali metal cation radii in the binary mixture. The thermodynamic parameters of dissolution calculated for the oxides imply the dominance of a chemical dissolution mechanism, and this implication was supported by X-ray powder diffraction data.  相似文献

The synthesis, characteristics and analytical applications of biacetylmonoxime nicotinylhydrazone are described. This compound forms fluorescent complexes with titanium(IV) (λex = 430, λem = 540 nm), zirconium (λex = 415 nm, λem = 505 nm) and hafnium (λex = 400, λem = 500 nm) in an acidic medium. Titanium forms a 1:2 metal:ligand complex, whereas zirconium and hafnium form 1:2:1 metal:ligand:sulphate ternary complexes. Highly selective spectrofluorimetric methods for titanium (20–100 ng ml?1), zirconium and hafnium (5–100 ng ml?1) are proposed, and procedures for the analysis of binary mixtures of these ions are described.  相似文献

A procedure is presented for the determination of zirconium in the presence of niobium or tantalum. The bulk of the niobium or tantalum is first removed by extracting with hexone from a 10M hyclrofluoric acid, 6M sulphuric acid solution of the sample. The zirconium is then. separated from any unextractcd earth, acid element by precipitation with ammonium hydroxide followed by the addition of hydrogen peroxide. Under these conditions, both the niobium and tantalum form soluble peroxy complexes whereas the zirconium is completely precipitated from solution. After the separation of the precipitate by filtration, it is re-dissolved in hydrochloric acid and the zirconium concentration is finally determined by titration with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid.  相似文献

New experimental data of densities and surface tensions are presented for the binary mixtures of the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3- methyl imidazolium nitrate([EMIM]NO3) with methanol and ethanol.Measurements were performed at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure,covering the whole composition range.Excess molar volumes VE and the surface tension deviations Sy have been determined.For the excess molar volumes of binary mixture,there is a region of negative VE at low IL mole fraction,passing through a minimum and then VE increases and becomes positive,showing maximum at higher IL mole fraction.It is shown that the surface tension deviations Sy of[EMIM]NO3 + methanol system are positive but those of[EMIM]NO3 + ethanol system are negative over the entire mole fraction range.  相似文献

A visual titration method for the determination of hexafluoropropan-2,2-diol (HFPD) in HFPD-water mixtures is suggested. The procedure involves the titration of the weakly acidic HFPD with sodium methoxide, using dimethylformamide or ethanol as solvent and thymol blue as indicator. Dissolution of -irradiated chlorides of sodium and potassium in a solution of NaNO3 and KI results in the formation of NO 2 and iodine as stable products. The variation in the yields of the products with the amount of irradiated salts is studied. Gamma-radiolysis of KNO3 in the matrix of some sulfates, viz. Na2SO4, K2SO4, KNaSO4, KNaSO4: Eu, KNaSO4: Ce, K3Na(SO4)2, K3Na(SO4)2: Eu and K3Na(SO4)2: Ce has been studied at an absorbed dose of 30 kGy.G(NO 2 ) values calculated on the basis of electron fraction in all the sulfates are enhanced significantly. It is also affected by the nature of outer cation and the dopant lanthanide. Electron spin resonance (ESR) and thermoluminescence (TL) measurements show the formation of radical species SO 4 , SO 3 , O 3 , O 2 upon -irradiation. It is proposed that there radical species may transfer energy and interact with the radical species of nitrate (NO 3 2– , NO2, NO3 etc.) so as to enhance the decomposition. A rapid method for the determination of nitrate and nitrite ions is described. The potential of a mixture of nitrate and nitrite was measured with a nitrate ion selective electrode. The nitrite in the mixture is then oxidized to nitrate with permanganate in acid solution, and the potential of the oxidized solution is also measured with the electrode. The fundamental equations for the response of the nitrate ion electrode to nitrate ion in the presence of interfering ions were used, and a new equation was developed for calculating the original nitrate concentration of the mixture. The absolute errors for solutions of known concentrations (2.5–100 p.p.m. each) were 1.8 p.p.m. nitrate and 2 p.p.m. nitrite. When the results are calculated by computer, five determinations can be performed in 30 min. The method was applied to the determination of the oxides of nitrogen in cigarette smoke as nitrite and nitrate after dissolution in basic solution.  相似文献

Densities and viscosities of the pure ionic liquid 1-methylimidazolium acetate ([Mim]Ac) and its binary mixtures with methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, and 1-butanol were measured at temperature ranging from T = (293.15 to 313.15) K. The thermal expansion coefficient, molecular volume, standard entropy, and lattice energy of [Mim]Ac were deduced from the experimental density results. A simple linear equation was used to correlate the variation of viscosity of [Mim]Ac with temperature. Excess molar volumes VE and viscosity deviations Δη for the binary mixtures at above mentioned temperature were calculated and fitted to the Redlich–Kister equation with satisfactory results. Excess molar volumes for {[Mim]Ac + 1-butanol} mixture have an S shape, while those for other mixtures have a negative deviation from ideal behaviour over the entire mole fraction range. Viscosity deviations are all negative deviation for {[Mim]Ac + alcohol} mixtures. The results were interpreted in terms of interactions and structural factors of binary mixtures.  相似文献
