The specific features of plastic–strain macrolocalization at the stage of the parabolic law of strain hardening in samples from industrial zirconium–based alloys are considered. It is shown that in predeformed blanks, zones with a different character of plastic–strain localization are formed. It is also shown that the strain–localization macropattern can be used as a characteristic of the susceptibility of a material to further plastic form–changing, for example, upon tube rolling. The sign of fracture of alloys upon plastic deformation is revealed. The scale effect in the formation of localizedplastic–flow zones is shown and studied.  相似文献

The problem of expulsion of one viscous fluid by another in a circular pipe with a nonstationary pulsating laminar motion is considered. We present the results of an experimental study of the reflection of a plane stationary shock wave with Mach number in the range 1.21–1.35 from a rigid cylindrical concave wall. The experiments were carried out in a shock tube. In experimental shock tube technology the reflection of a shock wave from a rigid wall is often used for obtaining high temperatures [1]. The transition flow is considered of a fibrous suspension in a pipe. The flow region consists of two subregions: at the center of the flow a plug formed by interwoven fibers and fluid moves as a rigid body; between the solid wall and the plug is a boundary layer in which the suspension is a mixture of the liquid phase and fibers separated from the plug [1–3]. In the boundary region the suspension is simulated as an anisotropic Ericksen—Leslie fluid [4, 5] which satisfies certain additional conditions. Equations are obtained for the velocity profile and drag coefficient of the pipe, which are both qualitatively and quantitatively in good agreement with the experimental results [6–8]. In inhomogeneous electric fields, at sufficiently high field strengths, a weakly conducting liquid becomes unstable and is set in motion [1–4]. The cause of the loss of stability and the motion is the Coulomb force acting on the space charge formed by virtue of the inhomogeneity of the electrical conductivity of the liquid [4–13]. This inhomogeneity may be due to external heating [4–6], a local raising of the temperature by Joule heating [2, 7, 8], and nonlinearity of Ohm's law [9–13]. In the present paper, in the absence of a temperature gradient produced by an external source, a condition is found whose fulfillment ensures that the influence of Joule heating on the stability can be ignored. A numerical calculation is made of small oscillations of a viscous incompressible fluid that fills half of a horizontal cylindrical channel. The calculation is made with and without allowance for surface tension. The results of the calculation show that allowance for surface tension increases the damping of the oscillations. The general properties of problems of the normal oscillations of a heavy and capillary viscous incompressible fluid were studied in [1–3], in which the possibility of applying the Bubnov-Galerkin method to these problems was pointed out. When a plane shock wave impinges on bodies with grooves and when a supersonic stream of gas flows past such bodies a complicated flow pattern develops. In a number of cases oscillations of the bow wave [1–3] and an anomalous heating of the gas in the groove [4–6] have been observed. The torsional creep and recoverable bahaviour of a technical polystyrene is reported over seven orders of magnitude of the value of the compliance from 10–8 to 10–1 Pa–1 and over more than seven decades in time. The results for the recoverable compliance JR (t) reveal a dispersion region seen between the glass transition and the steady-state recoverable compliance Je. The limiting value of the final dispersion Je = 4.7 · 10–4 Pa–1 indicates a broad molecular-weight distribution. The steady-state recoverable compliance Je is independent of the temperature. The temperature dependence of the final dispersion was found to be indistinguishable from that of viscous flow. However, this temperature dependence differs significantly from that of the glass-rubber transition. A proposal has been made for the construction of creep compliance and recoverable compliance over an extended time scale.  相似文献

Results are given of a calculation conducted on the basis of a two-temperature plasma model for a cylindrical arc in a channel with the blowing through of a gas. It is shown that the gas venting leads to the appearance of a considerable separation between the electron and gas temperatures near the wall of the plasmotron and in the cathode zones. The possibilities of the two-temperature model are analyzed from the point of view of an approximate calculation of the electron temperature in arc and induction plasmotrons. The second and third terms in the asymptotic expansion of the stream function in the nonsimilar problem of the development of a two-dimensional turbulent jet in an unbounded space are found in final form. Results of experimental investigations of free turbulent jets are cited, and the effect of the initial velocity profile on the aerodynamic characteristics of the jet is considered. The problem of the development of a two-dimensional turbulent jet in an unbounded space has been considered in [1–3]. The existing solution is similar, and is valid only at a sufficiently large distance from the slit. Allowance for the finite dimensions of the slit leads to a nonsimilar problem.
