In this paper we prove the optimal boundary regularity under natural structural conditions for a large class of nonlinear elliptic equations with singular terms near the boundary. By a careful construction of super- and sub-solutions, we obtain precise growth estimates for solutions at the boundary and reduce the boundary regularity to the interior one by a rescaling argument.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the Dirichlet problem for a class of infinitely degenerate nonlinear elliptic equations with singular potential term. By using the logarithmic Sobolev inequality and Hardy's inequality, the existence and regularity of multiple nontrivial solutions have been proved.  相似文献

Consider a branching random walk, where the underlying branching mechanism is governed by a Galton-Watson process and the moving law of particles by a discrete random variable on the integer lattice Z. Denote by Z_n(z) the number of particles in the n-th generation in the model for each z ∈ Z. We derive the exact convergence rate in the local limit theorem for Z_n(z) assuming a condition like "EN(log N)~(1+λ) ∞" for the offspring distribution and a finite moment condition on the motion law. This complements the known results for the strongly non-lattice branching random walk on the real line and for the simple symmetric branching random walk on the integer lattice.  相似文献

In this paper we study eigenvalue problems for hemivariational and variational inequalities driven by the pp-Laplacian differential operator. Using topological methods (based on multivalued versions of the Leray–Schauder alternative principle) and variational methods (based on the nonsmooth critical point theory), we prove existence and multiplicity results for the eigenvalue problems that we examine.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a heat equation with nonlinear boundary condition occurring in population genetics, the selection–migration problem for alleles in a region, considering flow of genes throughout the boundary. Such a problem determines a gradient flow in a convenient phase space and then the dynamics for large times depends heavily on the knowledge of the equilibrium solutions. We study a class of mean curvature equations −Mu=H+λup where M denotes the mean curvature operator and for p?1. We show that there exists an extremal parameter λ such that this equation admits a minimal weak solutions for all λ∈[0,λ], while no weak solutions exists for λ>λ (weak solutions will be defined as critical points of a suitable functional). In the radially symmetric case, we then show that minimal weak solutions are classical solutions for all λ∈[0,λ] and that another branch of classical solutions exists in a neighborhood (λη,λ) of λ.  相似文献

In this paper we study the existence of bounded weak solutions for some nonlinear Dirichlet problems in unbounded domains. The principal part of the operator behaves like the p-laplacian operator, and the lower order terms, which depend on the solution u and its gradient u, have a power growth of order p–1 with respect to these variables, while they are bounded in the x variable. The source term belongs to a Lebesgue space with a prescribed asymptotic behaviour at infinity.  相似文献

The paper studies the rate of convergence of a weak Euler approximation for solutions to possibly completely degenerate SDEs driven by Lévy processes, with Hölder-continuous coefficients. It investigates the dependence of the rate on the regularity of coefficients and driving processes and its robustness to the approximation of the increments of the driving process. Initial data for atmospheric multi-scale models need to be adjusted in order to ensure small amplitudes of high-frequency oscillations. Different adjustment methods lead to balance conditions in the form of time-independent partial differential systems with appropriate boundary conditions. One of the issues of such systems is a violation of the ellipticity conditions in a part of the problem domain. In this study we present the ellipticity conditions for balance equations based on diagnostic divergence relation with different levels of complexity and explore the existence of non-elliptic regions in the gridded fields of the atmospheric analysis data. It is shown that more physically justifiable balance equations are associated with much sparser and less intensive non-elliptic regions. The obtained results confirm Kasahara’s assumption that ellipticity conditions are violated in the actual atmospheric fields essentially due to approximations made under deriving balance equations.  相似文献

We consider a nonlinear elliptic equation driven by the p-Laplacian with Dirichlet boundary conditions. Using variational techniques combined with the method of upper-lower solutions and suitable truncation arguments, we establish the existence of at least five nontrivial solutions. Two positive, two negative and a nodal (sign-changing) solution. Our framework of analysis incorporates both coercive and p-superlinear problems. Also the result on multiple constant sign solutions incorporates the case of concave-convex nonlinearities.  相似文献

This paper focuses on nonlocal boundary value problems for linear and nonlinear abstract elliptic equations in Banach spaces. Here equations and boundary conditions contain certain parameters. The uniform separability of the linear problem and the existence and uniqueness of maximal regular solution of nonlinear problem are obtained in Lp spaces. For linear case the discreteness of spectrum of corresponding parameter dependent differential operator is obtained. The behavior of solution when the parameter approaches zero and its smoothness with respect to the parameter is established. Moreover, we show the estimate for analytic semigroups in terms of interpolation spaces. This fact can be used to obtain maximal regularity properties for abstract boundary value problems.  相似文献

We prove exponential convergence to the invariant measure, in the total variation norm, for solutions of SDEs driven by α-stable noises in finite and in infinite dimensions. Two approaches are used. The first one is based on Liapunov’s function approach by Harris, and the second on Doeblin’s coupling argument in [8]. Irreducibility and uniform strong Feller property play an essential role in both approaches. We concentrate on two classes of Markov processes: solutions of finite dimensional equations, introduced in [27], with Hölder continuous drift and a general, non-degenerate, symmetric α-stable noise, and infinite dimensional parabolic systems, introduced in [29], with Lipschitz drift and cylindrical α-stable noise. We show that if the nonlinearity is bounded, then the processes are exponential mixing. This improves, in particular, an earlier result established in [28], with a different method.  相似文献
