In this paper, we study the partial regularity of the general weak solution u∈L∞(0,T;L2(Ω))∩L2(0,T;H1(Ω)) to the Navier-Stokes equations, which include the well-known Leray-Hopf weak solutions. It is shown that there is a absolute constant ε such that for the weak solution u, if either the scaled local Lq(1?q?2) norm of the gradient of the solution, or the scaled local ) norm of u is less than ε, then u is locally bounded. This implies that the one-dimensional Hausdorff measure is zero for the possible singular point set, which extends the corresponding result due to Caffarelli et al. (Comm. Pure Appl. Math. 35 (1982) 717) to more general weak solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the local behavior of the solutions to the three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic equations. we are interested in both the uniform gradient estimates for smooth solutions and regularity of weak solutions. It is shown that, in some neighborhood of (x0,t0), the gradients of the velocity field u and the magnetic field B are locally uniformly bounded in L norm as long as that either the scaled local L2-norm of the gradient or the scaled local total energy of the velocity field is small, and the scaled local total energy of the magnetic field is uniformly bounded. These estimates indicate that the velocity field plays a more dominant role than that of the magnetic field in the regularity theory. As an immediately corollary we can derive an estimates of Hausdorff dimension on the possible singular set of a suitable weak solution as in the case of pure fluid. Various partial regularity results are obtained as consequences of our blow-up estimates.  相似文献

In this note we prove the uniqueness of weak solutions to a nonlinear hyperbolic system in electrohydrodynamics without the effects of a dissociation–recombination process. It is still open in the presence of a special dissociation–recombination process, although the existence of at least one weak solution was proved via the method of renormalized solutions by Feireisl [E. Feireisl, Weak solutions to a non-linear hyperbolic system arising in the theory of dielectric liquids, Math. Methods Appl. Sci. 18 (1995) 1041–1052] in 1995.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the regularity of weak solution to the incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations. We obtain some sufficient conditions for regularity of weak solutions to the magnetohydrodynamic equations, which is similar to that of incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. Moreover, our results demonstrate that the velocity field of the fluid plays a more dominant role than the magnetic field does on the regularity of solution to the magneto-hydrodynamic equations.  相似文献

We study the regularity criteria for weak solutions to the incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations. Some regularity criteria are obtained for weak solutions to the magnetohydrodynamic equations, which generalize the results in [C. He, Z. Xin, On the regularity of solutions to the magneto-hydrodynamic equations, J. Differential Equations 213 (2) (2005) 235-254]. Our results reveal that the velocity field of the fluid plays a more dominant role than the magnetic field does on the regularity of solutions to the magnetohydrodynamic equations.  相似文献

We consider the system , in coupled with suitable initial-boundary conditions, where is a bounded domain in with smooth boundary and is a continuous and positive function of . Our main result is that under some conditions on there exists a relatively open subset of such that is locally Hölder continuous on , the interior of is empty, and is essentially bounded on .

In this note, we prove the partial regularity of stationary weak solutions for the Landau-Lifshitz system with general potential in four or three dimensional space. As well known, in general, since the constraint of the methods, in order to get the partial regularity of stationary weak solution of the Landau-Lifshitz system with potential, we need to add some very strongly conditions on the potential. The main difficulty caused by potential is how to find the equation satisfied by the scaling function, which breaks down the blow-up processing. We estimate directly Morrey’s energy to avoid the difficulties by blowing up. We introduce a new sharp interface model for the flow of two immiscible, viscous, incompressible fluids. In contrast to classical models for two-phase flows we prescribe an evolution law for the interfaces that takes diffusional effects into account. This leads to a coupled system of Navier–Stokes and Mullins–Sekerka type parts that coincides with the asymptotic limit of a diffuse interface model. We prove the long-time existence of weak solutions, which is an open problem for the classical two-phase model. We show that the phase interfaces have in almost all points a generalized mean curvature.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with existence of global weak solutions to a class of compressible Navier-Stokes equations with density-dependent viscosity and vacuum. When the viscosity coefficient μ is proportional to ρθ with , a global existence result is obtained which improves the previous results in Fang and Zhang (2004) [4], Vong et al. (2003) [27], Yang and Zhu (2002) [30]. Here ρ is the density. Moreover, we prove that the domain, where fluid is located on, expands outwards into vacuum at an algebraic rate as the time grows up due to the dispersion effect of total pressure. It is worth pointing out that our result covers the interesting case of the Saint-Venant model for shallow water (i.e., θ=1, γ=2).  相似文献

We study the asymptotic behavior of the energy of weak solutions of Navier-Stokes equations as t→∞. We characterize the space of the initial data which causes a concentration of the kinetic energy in the phase space. Moreover, an explicit convergence rate is obtained.  相似文献

In this paper we give a new proof of the partial regularity of solutions to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equation in dimension 3 first proved by Caffarelli, Kohn and Nirenberg. The proof relies on a method introduced by De Giorgi for elliptic equations. This work was supported in part by NSF Grant DMS-0607953.  相似文献

We prove global existence of nonnegative weak solutions to a degenerate parabolic system which models the interaction of two thin fluid films in a porous medium. Furthermore, we show that these weak solutions converge at an exponential rate towards flat equilibria.  相似文献

We consider a system coupling the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations to the Vlasov-Fokker-Planck equation. The coupling arises from a drag force exerted by each other. We establish existence of global weak solutions for the system in two and three dimensions. Furthermore, we obtain the existence and uniqueness result of global smooth solutions for dimension two. In case of three dimensions, we also prove that strong solutions exist globally in time for the Vlasov-Stokes system.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the Stokes system in the half-space , with N?2. We give existence and uniqueness results in weighted Sobolev spaces. After the central case of the generalized solutions, we are interested in strong solutions and symmetrically in very weak solutions by means of a duality argument.  相似文献

Existence and regularity of positive solutions of a degenerate elliptic Dirichlet problem of the form in Ω, on , where Ω is a bounded smooth domain in , , are obtained via new embeddings of some weighted Sobolev spaces with singular weights and . It is seen that and admit many singular points in Ω. The main embedding results in this paper provide some generalizations of the well‐known Caffarelli–Kohn–Nirenberg inequality.  相似文献

We consider a non-Newtonian fluid governed by stationary, incompressible Navier–Stokes equations with shear-dependent viscosity. Using a fixed point argument in an appropriate functional setting, we establish the existence of a strong solution for small and suitably regular data. Uniqueness results are obtained under similar conditions.  相似文献

The existence of singular solutions of the incompressible Navier-Stokes system with singular external forces, the existence of regular solutions for more regular forces as well as the asymptotic stability of small solutions (including stationary ones), and a pointwise loss of smoothness for solutions are proved in the same function space of pseudomeasure type.  相似文献
