The paper is the second in a set of two papers, which are devoted to a unified approach to the problem of completeness of the generalized eigenvectors (the root vectors) for a specific class of linear non‐selfadjoint unbounded matrix differential operators. The list of the problems for which such operators are the dynamics generators includes the following: (a) initial boundary‐value problem (IBVP) for a non‐homogeneous string with both distributed and boundary damping; (b) IBVP for small vibrations of an ideal filament with a one‐parameter family of dissipative boundary conditions at one end and with a heavy load at the other end; this filament problem is treated for two cases of the boundary parameter: non‐singular and singular; (c) IBVP for a three‐dimensional damped wave equation with spherically symmetric coefficients and both distributed and boundary damping; (d) IBVP for a system of two coupled hyperbolic equations constituting a Timoshenko beam model with variable coefficients and boundary damping; (e) IBVP for a coupled Euler‐Bernoulli and Timoshenko beam model with boundary energy dissipation (the model known in engineering literature as bending‐torsion vibration model); (f) IBVP for two coupled Timoshenko beams model, which is currently accepted as an appropriate model describing vibrational behavior of a longer double‐walled carbon nanotube. We show that the existence and uniqueness of BV continuous sweeping processes can be easily reduced to the Lipschitz continuous case by means of a suitable reparametrization of the associated moving convex set. Moreover we put this approach in the wider framework of rate independent operators acting on curves in metric spaces and we prove an extension theorem for such operators. This abstract theorem is then applied in order to infer continuous dependence of the sweeping process on the data.  相似文献

In this paper, an independent variable transformation is introduced to solve the modified Camassa-Holm equation using the bifurcation theory and the method of phase portrait analysis. Some peakons, solitary waves and periodic waves are found and their exact parametric representations in explicit form and in implicit form are obtained.  相似文献

Bitangential input scattering problems are formulated and analyzed for canonical integral systems. Special attention is paid to the case when the input scattering matrix is ap×q matrix valued function of Wiener class. Formulas for the solution of the inverse input scattering problem are obtained by reproducing kernel Hilbert space methods. A number of illustrative examples are presented. Additional examples for the case when the input scattering matrix is of Wiener class/rational will be presented in a future publication.  相似文献

This note addresses a class of abstract quasivariational evolution equations taking into account nonlocality with respect to time. We present an existence result for suitably weak solutions to such problems, which extend previous contributions. The existence argument relies on some order technique and exploits a fixed point result for multivalued applications in ordered spaces. Moreover, we discuss the application of our results to classes of ODE and parabolic PDE problems.  相似文献

Associated with a boundedg-holed (g0) planar domainD are two types of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of meromorphic functions onD. We give explicit formulas for the reproducing kernel functions of these spaces. The formulas are in terms of theta functions defined on the Jacobian variety of the Schottky double of the regionD. As applications we settle a conjecture of Abrahamse concerning Nevalinna-Pick interpolation on an annulus and obtain explicit formulas for the curvature (in the sense of Cowen and Douglas) of rank 1 bundle shift operators.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem, the set of common fixed point for a family of infinitely nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of the variational inequality for αα-inverse-strongly monotone mappings in a Hilbert space. Under suitable conditions, some strong convergence theorems for approximating a common element of the above three sets are obtained. As applications, at the end of the paper we utilize our results to study the optimization problem and some convergence problem for strictly pseudocontractive mappings. This is the first of a planned sequence of papers on inverse problems for canonical systems of differential equations. It is devoted largely to foundational material (much of which is of independent interest) on the theory of assorted classes of meromorphic matrix valued functions. Particular attention is paid to the structure of J-inner functions and connections with bitangential interpolation problems and reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. Some new characterizations of regular, singular and strongly regular J-inner functions in terms of the associated reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces are presented.D. Z. We consider a nonlinear antiplane problem which models the deformation of an elastic cylindrical body in frictional contact with a rigid foundation. The contact is modelled with Tresca’s law of dry friction in which the friction bound is slip dependent.The aim of this article is to study an optimal control problem which consists of leading the stress tensor as close as possible to a given target, by acting with a control on the boundary of the body. The existence of at least one optimal control is proved. Next we introduce a regularized problem, depending on a small parameter ρ, and we study the convergence of the optimal controls when ρ tends to zero. An optimality condition is delivered for the regularized problem.  相似文献

In this paper, by using a monotone iterative technique in the presence of lower and upper solutions, we discuss the existence of solutions for a new system of nonlinear mixed type implicit impulsive integro-differential equations in Banach spaces. Under wide monotonicity conditions and the noncompactness measure conditions, we also obtain the existence of extremal solutions and a unique solution between lower and upper solutions.  相似文献

In this paper we develop the necessary conditions of optimality for a class of distributed parameter systems (partial differential equations) determined by operator valued measures and controlled by vector measures. Based on some recent results on existence of optimal controls from the space of vector measures, we develop necessary conditions of optimality for a class of control problems. The main results are the necessary conditions of optimality for problems without state constraints and those with state constraints. Also, a conceptual algorithm along with a brief discussion of its convergence is presented.  相似文献

In this paper, based on homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and reproducing kernel method (RKM), a new method is presented for solving nonlinear systems of second order boundary value problems (BVPs). HPM is based on the use of traditional perturbation method and homotopy technique. The HPM can reduce a nonlinear problem to a sequence of linear problems and generate a rapid convergent series solution in most cases. RKM is also an analytical technique, which can solve powerfully linear BVPs. Homotopy perturbation-reproducing kernel method (HP-RKM) combines advantages of these two methods and therefore can be used to solve efficiently systems of nonlinear BVPs. Three numerical examples are presented to illustrate the strength of the method.  相似文献
