Generalized planar curves and quaternionic geometry

Motivated by the analogies between the projective and the almost quaternionic geometries, we first study the generalized planar curves and mappings. We follow, recover, and extend the classical approach, see e.g., (Sov. Math. 27(1) 63–70 (1983), Rediconti del circolo matematico di Palermo, Serie II, Suppl. 54 75–81) (1998), Then we exploit the impact of the general results in the almost quaternionic geometry. In particular we show, that the natural class of ℍ-planar curves coincides with the class of all geodesics of the so called Weyl connections and preserving this class turns out to be the necessary and sufficient condition on diffeomorphisms to become morphisms of almost quaternionic geometries.     

Uncertainty principles associated with quaternionic linear canonical transforms

In the present paper, we generalize the linear canonical transform (LCT) to quaternion‐valued signals, known as the quaternionic LCT (QLCT). Using the properties of the LCT, we establish an uncertainty principle for the two‐sided QLCT. This uncertainty principle prescribes a lower bound on the product of the effective widths of quaternion‐valued signals in the spatial and frequency domains. It is shown that only a Gaussian quaternionic signal minimizes the uncertainty. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Algebraic techniques for least squares problem over generalized quaternion algebras: A unified approach in quaternionic and split quaternionic theory

This paper aims to present, in a unified manner, algebraic techniques for least squares problem in quaternionic and split quaternionic mechanics. This paper, by means of a complex representation and a real representation of a generalized quaternion matrix, studies generalized quaternion least squares (GQLS) problem, and derives two algebraic methods for solving the GQLS problem. This paper gives not only algebraic techniques for least squares problem over generalized quaternion algebras, but also a unification of algebraic techniques for least squares problem in quaternionic and split quaternionic theory.     

关于广义四元数代数上矩阵的迹的一个等式

众所周知,相似矩阵的迹相等对于非交换代数和环上的矩阵不一定成立,有趣的问题是给定一个条件使得相似矩阵的迹相等对于非交换代数或非交换环上的矩阵成立。本文对于特征不是2的任意域F上定义的广义四元数代数上的两个矩阵A和B,给出如果A和B相似并且它们的主对角线上的元素在F中,那么它们的迹相等。     

Pedal curves of frontals in the Euclidean plane

In this paper, we will give the definition of the pedal curves of frontals and investigate the geometric properties of these curves in the Euclidean plane. We obtain that pedal curves of frontals in the Euclidean plane are also frontals. We further discuss the connections between singular points of the pedal curves and inflexion points of frontals in the Euclidean plane.     

广义弱群像代数

本文首先介绍了广义弱群像代数的概念, 并构造了一系列具体的例子, 通过例子可以看出有限群胚代数和群像代数都可以看作是广义弱群像代数; 接着本文证明了广义弱群像代数也可以看作是一类广义弱双Frobenius代数, 并探讨了广义弱双Frobenius代数成为有限群胚代数的条件; 最后本文给出了低维广义弱群像代数的具体结构.

本文运用广义四元数代数的矩阵表示讨论了两类广义四元数的一次代数方程的解问题，并得到了这两类代数方程有唯一解、无穷多解，无解的判别条件。     

四元数矩阵的加权广义逆

利用四元数矩阵的加权奇异值分解 ,给出了四元数矩阵加权广义逆的显式表达 ,简化了应瓦金给出的相应结果 ,同时解答了有关的公开问题 .     

On real hypersurfaces in a quaternionic hyperbolic space in terms of the derivative of the second fundamental tensor

The purpose of this paper is to give a characterization of real hypersurfaces of type A₀, A in a quaternionic hyperbolic space QH ^m by the covariant derivative of the second fundamental tensor. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

广义四元数群的4-度Cayley图

一个有限群称为广义四元数群,若Q4n=〈a,b a2n=1,b2=an,ab=a-1,〉n 3.本文根据广义四元数群Q4p(p为奇素数)中只有两类二元生成子集,且它们在Aut(Q4p)的作用下是传递的.结合具体图形,利用查圈的方法重点地证明了广义四元数群关于这两类二元生成子集的4-度C ay ley图的正规性与正则性,解决了4-度C ay ley图的完全分类问题.     

On the determinant of quaternionic polynomial matrices and its application to system stability

In this paper, we propose a definition of determinant for quaternionic polynomial matrices inspired by the well‐known Dieudonné determinant for the constant case. This notion allows to characterize the stability of linear dynamical systems with quaternionic coefficients, yielding results which generalize the ones obtained for the real and complex cases. Totally real minimal 2-spheres in quaternionic projective space

Let HPn be the quaternionic projective space with constant quaternionic sectional curvature 4. Then locally there exists a tripe {I, J, K} of complex structures on HPn satisfying U = -JI = K,JK = -KJ = /, KI = -IK = J. A surface M(？) HPn is called totally real, if at each point p ∈M the tangent plane TPM is perpendicular to I(TPM), J(TPM) and K(TPM). It is known that any surface M(？)RPn(？) HPn is totally real, where RPn (?) HPn is the standard embedding of real projective space in HPn induced by the inclusion R in H, and that there are totally real surfaces in HPn which don't come from this way. In this paper we show that any totally real minimal 2-sphere in HPn is isometric to a full minimal 2-sphere in Rp2m (？) RPn(？) HPn with 2m≤n. As a consequence we show that the Veronese sequences in KP2m (m≥1) are the only totally real minimal 2-spheres with constant curvature in the quaternionic projective space.

Zeta functions of trinomial curves and maximal curves

We determine the zeta functions of trinomial curves in terms of Jacobi sums, and obtain an explicit formula of the genus of a trinomial curve over a finite field, and we study the conditions for this curve to be a maximal curve over a finite field.     

On the characterization of spherical curves in 3-dimensional Sasakian spaces

In this paper, we give the spherical characterization of a regular curve in 3-dimensional Sasakian space. Furthermore the differential equation which expresses the mentioned characterization is solved.     

Sharper uncertainty principles in quaternionic Hilbert spaces

The uncertainty principle for quaternionic linear operators in quaternionic Hilbert spaces is established, which generalizes the result of Goh-Micchelli. It turns out that there appears an additional term given by a commutator that reflects the feature of quaternions. The result is further strengthened when one operator is self-adjoint, which extends under weaker conditions the uncertainty principle of Dang-Deng-Qian from complex numbers to quaternions. In particular, our results are applied to concrete settings related to quaternionic Fock spaces, quaternionic periodic functions, quaternion Fourier transforms, quaternion linear canonical transforms, and nonharmonic quaternion Fourier transforms.

Structures and Representations of Generalized Path Algebras

It is shown that an algebra Λ can be lifted with nilpotent Jacobson radical r = r(Λ) and has a generalized matrix unit {e _ii } _I with each ē _ii in the center of if Λ is isomorphic to a generalized path algebra with weak relations. Representations of the generalized path algebras are given. As a corollary, Λ is a finite algebra with non-zero unity element over a perfect field k (e.g., a field with characteristic zero or a finite field) if Λ is isomorphic to a generalized path algebra k (D, Ω, ρ) of finite directed graph with weak relations and dim < ∞; Λ is a generalized elementary algebra which can be lifted with nilpotent Jacobson radical and has a complete set of pairwise orthogonal idempotents if Λ is isomorphic to a path algebra with relations.
