An optimal control scheme is proposed to stabilize complex networks in finite time. Furthermore, since it is costly and impractical to control a network by applying controllers to all the nodes, an algorithm inspired by Kalmans controllability rank condition is presented for local stabilization by locating pinned components. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method as well as its superiority over a traditional pinning control technique. This work offers a theoretical framework for designing optimal controllers to stabilize networks in finite time with reduced control cost. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this article, we consider a generalized complex dynamical network model with nonsymmetric coupling, and the dynamics of each node has a different time-varying delay. Criteria of exponential synchronization are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities for the model by constructing suitable Lyapunov functionals. The obtained outcomes are different from those in the current literature, in which the complex dynamical networks are coupling symmetrically and delays are fixed constants. Moreover, the given sufficient conditions extend current available results and are verifiable. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the efficiency of the derived outcome.  相似文献

In this paper, a heroin epidemic model on complex networks is proposed. By the next generation matrix, the basic reproduction number $R_0$ is obtained. If $R_0<1$, then the drug-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. If $R_0>1$, there is an unique endemic equilibrium and it is also globally asymptotically stable. Our results show that if the degree of the network is large enough, the drug transmission always spreads. Sensitivity analysis of the basic reproduction number with the various parameters in the model are carried out to verify the important effects for control the drug transmission. In this paper, we consider the stochastic quasi-synchronization for the delayed networks with parameter mismatches and stochastic perturbation mismatch by using intermittent control. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, inequality techniques and the properties of Weiner process, several sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure stochastic quasi-synchronization for delayed networks. In this paper, the problem of guaranteed cost synchronization for a complex network is investigated. In order to achieve the synchronization, two types of guaranteed cost dynamic feedback controller are designed. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, a linear matrix inequality (LMI) convex optimization problem is formulated to find the controller which guarantees the asymptotic stability and minimizes the upper bound of a given quadratic cost function. The synchronization problem of some general complex dynamical networks with time-varying delays is investigated. Both time-varying delays in the network couplings and time-varying delays in the dynamical nodes are considered. The delays considered in this paper are assumed to vary in an interval, where the lower and upper bounds are known. Based on a piecewise analysis method, the variation interval of the time delay is firstly divided into several subintervals, by checking the variation of the derivative of a Lyapunov function in every subinterval, then the convexity of matrix function method and the free weighting matrix method are fully used in this paper. Some new delay-dependent synchronization stability criteria are derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Two numerical examples show that our method can lead to much less conservative results than those in the existing references.  相似文献

This paper investigates the adaptive synchronization in the drive-response fractional-order dynamical networks with uncertain parameters. By means of both the stability theory of fractional-order differential system and the adaptive control technique, a novel adaptive synchronization controller is developed with a more general and simpler analytical expression, which does not contain the parameters of the complex network, and effective adaptive laws of parameters. Furthermore, the very strong and conservative uniformly Lipschitz condition on the node dynamics of complex network is released. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed method, the examples for the synchronization of systems with the chaotic and hyper-chaotic node dynamics are presented.  相似文献

The synchronization problem for both continuous and discrete‐time complex dynamical networks with time‐varying delays is investigated. Using optimal partitioning method, time‐varying delays are partitioned into l subintervals and generalized results are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). New delay‐dependent synchronization criteria in terms of LMIs are derived by constructing appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, reciprocally convex combination technique and some inequality techniques. In this article, the problem of cluster synchronization in the complex networks with nonidentical nonlinear dynamics is considered. By Lyapunov functional and M‐matrix theory, some sufficient conditions for cluster synchronization are obtained. Moreover, the least number of nodes which should be pinned is given. It is shown that when the root nodes of all the clusters are pinning‐controlled, cluster synchronization with adaptive coupling strength can be achieved. Different from the constraints of many literatures, the assumption is that each row sum for all diagonal submatrices of the Laplacian matrix is equal to zero. Finally, a numerical simulation in the network with three scale‐free subnetwork is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Given a smooth closed manifold M, the Morse–Witten complex associated to a Morse function f and a Riemannian metric g on M consists of chain groups generated by the critical points of f and a boundary operator counting isolated flow lines of the negative gradient flow. Its homology reproduces singular homology of M. The geometric approach presented here was developed in Weber [Der Morse–Witten Komplex, Diploma Thesis, TU Berlin, 1993] and is based on tools from hyperbolic dynamical systems. For instance, we apply the Grobman–Hartman theorem and the λ-lemma (Inclination Lemma) to analyze compactness and define gluing for the moduli space of flow lines.  相似文献

In this article, a synchronization problem for master-slave Markovian switching complex dynamical networks with time-varying delays in nonlinear function via sliding mode control is investigated. On the basis of the appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, introducing some free weighting matrices, new synchronization criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Then, an integral sliding surface is designed to guarantee synchronization of master-slave Markovian switching complex dynamical networks, and the suitable controller is synthesized to ensure that the trajectory of the closed-loop error system can be driven onto the prescribed sliding mode surface. By using Dynkin's formula, we established the stochastic stablity of master-slave system. Finally, numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, the asymptotical stability of the analytic solution and the numerical methods with constant stepsize for pantograph equations is investigated using the Razumikhin technique. In particular, the linear pantograph equations with constant coefficients and variable coefficients are considered. The stability conditions of the analytic solutions of those equations and the numerical solutions of the θ-methods with constant stepsize are obtained. As a result Z. A class of projected dynamical systems (PDS), whose stationary points solve the corresponding variational inequality problem (VIP), was recently studied by Dupuis and Nagurney (Ref. 1). This paper initiates the study of the stability of such PDS around their stationary points and thus gives rise to the study of the dynamical stability of VIP solutions. Examples are constructed showing that such a study can be quite distinct from the classical stability study for dynamical systems (DS). We give the definition of a regular solution to a VIP and introduce the concept of a minimal face flow induced by a PDS, which is a standard DS of a lower dimension. We then show that, at the regular solutions of the VIP, the local stability of the PDS is essentially the same as that of its minimal face flow. Hence, we reduce the problem, in this case, to one of the classical stability study of DS, a more developed discipline. In a more direct way, we then establish a series of local and global stability results of the PDS, under various conditions of monotonicity.This research was supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant DMS-9024071 under the Faculty Awards for Women Program.
