A room‐temperature‐stable crystalline cyclic (alkyl)(amino)nitrenium cation 2 features cationic nitrogen atom with a smaller HOMO–LUMO gap compared to that of a 1,2,3‐triazolium 5 (an N‐heterocyclic nitrenium cation). The low‐lying LUMO of 2 results in an enhanced electrophilicity, which allowed for the formation of Lewis adducts with neutral Lewis bases, such as Me3P, nBu3P, and IiPr. The N‐based Lewis acid 2 also forms an FLP with tBu3P but subsequently reacts with (PrS)2 to cleave the S?S bond. Both experimental and theoretical results suggest that the Lewis acidity of 2 is stronger than its N3 analogues. 相似文献

An expanded family of ruthenium‐based metathesis catalysts bearing cyclic alkyl amino carbene (CAAC) ligands was prepared. These catalysts exhibited exceptional activity in the ethenolysis of the seed‐oil derivative methyl oleate. In many cases, catalyst turnover numbers (TONs) of more than 100 000 were achieved, at a catalyst loading of only 3 ppm. Remarkably, the most active catalyst system was able to achieve a TON of 340 000, at a catalyst loading of only 1 ppm. This is the first time a series of metathesis catalysts has exhibited such high performance in cross‐metathesis reactions employing ethylene gas, with activities sufficient to render ethenolysis applicable to the industrial‐scale production of linear α‐olefins (LAOs) and other terminal‐olefin products. 相似文献

Cyclic (Alkyl)(Amino)Carbenes (CAACs) have become forceful ligands for gold due to their ability to form very strong ligand-metal bonds. Inspired by the success of Auranofin and other gold complexes as antitumor agents, we have studied the cytotoxicity of bis- and mono-CAAC-gold complexes on different cancer cell lines: HeLa (cervical cancer), A549 (lung cancer), HT1080 (fibrosarcoma) and Caov-3 (ovarian cancer). Further investigations aimed at elucidating their mechanism of action are described. This includes quantification of affinities for TrxR, evaluation of their bioavailability and determination of associated cell death process. Moreover, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) was used to study morphological changes upon exposure. Noticeably, a significant reduction in non-specific binding to serum proteins was observed with CAAC complexes when compared to Auranofin. These results confirm the potential of CAAC-gold complexes in biological environments, which may result in more specific drug-target interactions and decreased side effects. 相似文献

The trinuclear cationic zinc hydride cluster [(IMes)3Zn3H4(THF)](BPh4)2 ( 1 ) was obtained either by protonation of the neutral zinc dihydride [(IMes)ZnH2]2 with a Brønsted acid or by addition of the putative zinc dication [(IMes)Zn(THF)]2+. A triply bridged thiophenolato complex 2 was formed upon oxidation of 1 with PhS? SPh. Protonolysis of 1 by methanol or water gave the corresponding trinuclear dicationic derivatives. At ambient temperature, 1 catalyzed the hydrosilylation of aldehydes, ketones, and nitriles. Carbon dioxide was also hydrosilylated under forcing conditions when using (EtO)3SiH, giving silylformate as the main product. 相似文献

Lewis base cAACs stabilized monomeric silylenes with halogen or methyl substituents at the silicon center have not been reported due to the strong σ-donor and π-acceptor character of cAAC. To prepare these monomeric silylenes, we used the silicon(IV) precursors 5 and 6 with a nitrogen donor group L (L=o-C6H4NMe2). The cAAC-stabilized (cAAC=C(CH2)(CMe2)2N-Ar, Ar=2,6-iPr2C6H3) silylenes LSiCl(cAAC) ( 7 ) and LSiMe(cAAC) ( 8 ) were synthesized by reduction of LSiCl3 and LSiMeCl2 with two equivalents of KC8 in the presence of one equivalent of cAAC, respectively. Compounds 7 and 8 were characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. Compounds 7 and 8 are stable in the solid state as well as in solution at room temperature for at least four months under inert conditions. 相似文献

Utilizing a cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbene (CAAC) as a ligand, neutral CAAC‐stabilized radicals containing a boryl functionality could be prepared by reduction of the corresponding haloborane adducts. The radical species with a duryl substituent was fully characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray structural analysis, EPR spectroscopy, and DFT calculations. Compared to known neutral boryl radicals, the isolated radical species showed larger spin density on the boron atom. Furthermore, the compound that was isolated is extraordinarily stable to high temperatures under inert conditions, both in solution and in the solid state. Electrochemical investigations of the radical suggest the possibility to generate a stable formal boryl anion species. 相似文献

The high element abundance and d10 electron configuration make ZnII-based compounds attractive candidates for the development of novel photoactive molecules. Although a large library of purely fluorescent compounds exists, emission involving triplet excited states is a rare phenomenon for zinc complexes. We have investigated the photophysical and -chemical properties of a series of dimeric and monomeric ZnII halide complexes bearing a cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbene (cAAC) as chromophore unit. Specifically, [(cAAC)XZn(μ-X)2ZnX(cAAC)] (X=Cl ( 1 ), Br ( 2 ), I ( 3 )) and [ZnX2(cAAC)(NCMe)] (X=Br ( 4 ), I ( 5 )) were isolated and fully characterized, showing intense visible light photoluminescence under UV irradiation at 297 K and fast photo-induced transformation. At 77 K, the compounds exhibit improved stability allowing to record ultra-long lifetimes in the millisecond regime. DFT/MRCI calculations confirm that the emission stems from 3XCT/LEcAAC states and indicate the phototransformation to be related to asymmetric distortion of the complexes by cAAC ligand rotation. This study enhances our understanding of the excited state properties for future development and application of new classes of ZnII phosphorescent complexes. 相似文献

Cyclic alkyl(amino) carbene (cAAC)-supported, structurally diverse alkali metal-phosphinidenides 2 – 5 of general formula ((cAAC)P-M)n(THF)x [ 2 : M=K, n=2, x=4; 3 : M=K, n=6, x=2; 4 : M=K, n=4, x=4; 5 : M=Na, n=3, x=1] have been synthesized by the reduction of cAAC-stabilized chloro-phosphinidene cAAC=P-Cl ( 1 ) utilizing metallic K or KC8 and Na-naphthalenide as reducing agents. Complexes 2 – 5 have been structurally characterized in solid state by NMR studies and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The proposed mechanism for the electron transfer process has been well-supported by cyclic voltammetry (CV) studies and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. The solid state oligomerization process has been observed to be largely dependent on the ionic radii of alkali metal ions, steric bulk of cAAC ligands and solvation/de-solvation/recombination of the dimeric unit [(cAAC)P-M(THF)x]2. 相似文献

The state‐of‐the‐art in olefin metathesis is application of N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC)‐containing ruthenium alkylidenes for the formation of internal C=C bonds and of cyclic alkyl amino carbene (CAAC)‐containing ruthenium benzylidenes in the production of terminal olefins. A straightforward synthesis of bis(CAAC)Ru indenylidene complexes, which are highly effective in the formation of both terminal and internal C=C bonds at loadings as low as 1 ppm, is now reported. 相似文献

Discovered in 2005, cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes (CAACs) are among the most nucleophilic (σ donating) and also electrophilic (π‐accepting) stable carbenes known to date. These properties allow them to activate a variety of small molecules and enthalpically strong bonds, to stabilize highly reactive main‐group and transition‐metal diamagnetic and paramagnetic species, and to bind strongly to metal centers, which gives rise to very robust catalysts. The most important results published up to the end of 2013 are briefly summarized, while the majority of this Review focuses on findings reported within the last three years. 相似文献

A Two‐Coordinate Cyclic (Alkyl)(amino)silylene: Balancing Thermal Stability and Reactivity 下载免费PDF全文

A crystalline two‐coordinate cyclic (alkyl)(amino)silylene ( 1 ) was successfully synthesized and isolated. Its 29Si NMR and UV/Vis spectra indicate that the electronic properties of 1 fall between those of cyclic dialkylsilylenes and diaminosilylenes. At very low temperature, the color of a solution of 1 turned from colorless to yellow, which was monitored by UV/Vis spectroscopy. DFT calculations supported the hypothesis that head‐to‐head dimers (disilenes) with a very long Si–Si distance are formed at such low temperatures. Although 1 is thermally stable, it readily undergoes cycloadditions, Si?H insertions, and photochemical reactions with benzene similar to dialkylsilylenes. At higher temperatures, 1 is also susceptible to intermolecular benzylic C?H insertion reactions, as well as unprecedented dehydrogenation reactions with cyclohexa‐1,4‐diene and 9,10‐dihydroanthracene to afford benzene and anthracene, respectively. 相似文献

Carbenes are known to activate carbon dioxide to form zwitterionic adducts. Their inherent metal-free redox activity remains understudied. Herein, we demonstrate that zwitterionic adducts of carbon dioxide formed with cyclic(alkyl)(amino) carbenes are not only redox active, but they can mediate the stoichiometric reductive disproportionation of carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide and carbonate. Infrared spectroelectrochemical experiments show that the reaction proceeds through an intermediate radical anion formed by one-electron reduction, ultimately generating a ketene product and carbonate in the absence of additional organic or inorganic reagents. 相似文献

A comprehensive study of the reactivity of Lewis bases with dihalodiboranes(4) is presented. Diaryldihalodiboranes provide rearranged monoadducts when treated with cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes, but halide‐bridged adducts when treated with a range of pyridyl bases. Alternatively, the combination of diaminodihalodiboranes with strong carbene donors leads to boraborenium salts. The reduction and halide‐abstraction reactivity of these adducts was also explored, leading to intramolecular C?H activation and the first 1,2‐bis(borenium) dication. 相似文献

Similarly to NHCs, CAACa and BACa react with CO2 to give the corresponding betaines. Based on the carbonyl stretching frequencies of cis‐[RhCl(CO)2(L)] complexes, the order of electron donor ability was predicted to be CAACa≈BACa>NHCs. When the betaines νasym(CO2) values are used, the apparent ordering is BACa>NHCs≈CAACa that indicates a limitation for the use of IR spectroscopy in the ranking of ligand σ‐donating ability. Although all carbenes react with carbon disulfide to give the corresponding betaines, a second equivalent of CS2 reacts with the BAC‐CS2 leading to a bicyclic thieno[2,3‐diamino]‐1,3‐dithiole‐2‐thione, which results from a novel ring expansion process. Surprisingly, in contrast to NHCs, CAAC a does not react with carbodiimide, whereas BACa exclusively gives a ring expanded product, analogous to that obtained with CS2. The intermediate amidinate can be trapped, using the lithium tetrafluoroborate adduct of BACb as a carbene surrogate. 相似文献

An improved synthetic route to homoleptic complex [Pt(CAACMe)2] (CAAC=cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes) and convenient routes to new heteroleptic complexes of the form [Pt(CAACMe)(PR3)] are presented. Although the homoleptic complex was found to be inert to many reagents, oxidative addition and metal‐only Lewis pair (MOLP) formation was observed from one of the heteroleptic complexes. The spectroscopic, structural, and electrochemical properties of the zero‐valent complexes were explored in concert with density functional theory (DFT) and time‐dependent density functional theory (TD‐DFT) calculations. The homoleptic [Pt(CAAC)2] and heteroleptic [Pt(CAAC)(PR3)] complexes were found to be similar in their spectroscopic and structural properties, but their electrochemical behavior and reactivity differ greatly. The unusually strong color of the CAAC‐containing Pt0 complexes was investigated by TD‐DFT calculations and attributed to excitations into the LUMOs of the complexes, which are predominantly composed of bonding π interactions between Pt and the CAAC carbon atoms. 相似文献

Rh(I) NHC and Rh(III) Cp* NHC complexes (Cp*=pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, NHC=N-heterocyclic carbene=pyrid-2-ylimidazol-2-ylidene (Py−Im), thiophen-2-ylimidazol-2-ylidene) are presented. Selected catalysts were selectively immobilized inside the mesopores of SBA-15 with average pore diameters of 5.0 and 6.2 nm. Together with their homogenous progenitors, the immobilized catalysts were used in the hydrosilylation of terminal alkynes. For aromatic alkynes, both the neutral and cationic Rh(I) complexes showed excellent reactivity with exclusive formation of the β(E)-isomer. For aliphatic alkynes, however, selectivity of the Rh(I) complexes was low. By contrast, the neutral and cationic Rh(III) Cp* NHC complexes proved to be highly regio- and stereoselective catalysts, allowing for the formation of the thermodynamically less stable β-(Z)-vinylsilane isomers at room temperature. Notably, the SBA-15 immobilized Rh(I) catalysts, in which the pore walls provide an additional confinement, showed excellent β-(Z)-selectivity in the hydrosilylation of aliphatic alkynes, too. Also, in the case of 4-aminophenylacetylene, selective formation of the β(Z)-isomer was observed with a neutral SBA-15 supported Rh(III) Cp* NHC complex but not with its homogenous counterpart. These are the first examples of high β(Z)-selectivity in the hydrosilylation of alkynes by confinement generated upon immobilization inside mesoporous silica. 相似文献
