Let k be a field and An(ω) be the Taft's n2-dimensional Hopf algebra. When n is odd, the Drinfeld quantum double D(An(ω)) of An(ω) is a ribbon Hopf algebra. In the previous articles, we constructed an n4-dimensional Hopf algebra Hn(p, q) which is isomorphic to D(An(ω)) if p ≠ 0 and q = ω?1 , and studied the irreducible representations of Hn(1, q) and the finite dimensional representations of H3(1, q). In this article, we examine the finite-dimensional representations of Hn(l q), equivalently, of D(An(ω)) for any n ≥ 2. We investigate the indecomposable left Hn(1, q)-module, and describe the structures and properties of all indecomposable modules and classify them when k is algebraically closed. We also give all almost split sequences in mod Hn(1, q), and the Auslander-Reiten-quiver of Hn(1 q).  相似文献

Let H(U) denote the vector space of all complex-valued holomorphic functions on an open subset U of a Banach space E. Let τω and τδ respectively denote the compact-ported topology and the bornological topology on H(U). We show that if E is a Banach space with a shrinking Schauder basis, and with the property that every continuous polynomial on E is weakly continuous on bounded sets, then (H(U),τω) and (H(U),τδ) have the approximation property for every open subset U of E. The classical space c0, the original Tsirelson space T and the Tsirelson-James space are examples of Banach spaces which satisfy the hypotheses of our main result. Our results are actually valid for Riemann domains.  相似文献

Let E,F be two Banach spaces,B(E,F),B+(E,F),Φ(E,F),SΦ(E,F) and R(E,F) be bounded linear,double splitting,Fredholm,semi-Frdholm and finite rank operators from E into F,respectively. Let Σ be any one of the following sets:{T ∈Φ(E,F):Index T=constant and dim N(T)=constant},{T ∈ SΦ(E,F):either dim N(T)=constant< ∞ or codim R(T)=constant< ∞} and {T ∈ R(E,F):Rank T=constant< ∞}. Then it is known that Σ is a smooth submanifold of B(E,F) with the tangent space TAΣ={B ∈ B(E,F):BN(A)-R(A) } for any A ∈Σ. However,for ...  相似文献

A unital U with parameter q is a 2 – (q 3 + 1, q + 1, 1) design. If a point set U in PG(2, q 2) together with its (q + 1)-secants forms a unital, then U is called a Hermitian arc. Through each point p of a Hermitian arc H there is exactly one line L having with H only the point p in common; this line L is called the tangent of H at p. For any prime power q, the absolute points and nonabsolute lines of a unitary polarity of PG(2, q 2) form a unital that is called the classical unital. The points of a classical unital are the points of a Hermitian curve in PG(2, q 2).Let H be a Hermitian arc in the projective plane PG(2, q 2). If tangents of H at collinear points of H are concurrent, then H is a Hermitian curve. This result proves a well known conjecture on Hermitian arcs.  相似文献

To select variables which provide the most relevant clustering, researchers use a probability density f that depends on the means E and the covariance matrix C of the data. Under the assumption that the distributions are normal, this density becomes proportional to f(C) = |det(C)| α for some real value α, where det(C) is the determinant of the matrix C. This function is affine-covariant in the sense that the ratios of the two density values do not change under an arbitrary affine transformation. In this paper, we show that only the functions f(C) = |det(C)| α satisfy the functional equation
\fracf(E,C)f(E¢,C¢) = \fracf(UTE+S,UTCU)f(UTE¢+S,UTCU)\frac{f(E,C)}{f(E',C')}= \frac{f(U^TE+S,U^TCU)}{f(U^TE'+S,U^TC'U)}  相似文献

By a general argument, it is shown that Maxwell–Herglotz‐fields are dense (with respect to the C(Ω)‐topology) in the space of all solutions to Maxwell's equations in Ω. This is used to provide corresponding approximation results in global spaces (e.g. in L2‐Sobolev‐spaces Hm(Ω)) and for boundary data. Proofs are given within the framework of generalized Maxwell's equations using differential forms. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Suppose K is a closed convex nonexpansive retract of a real uniformly smooth Banach space E with P as the nonexpansive retraction. Suppose T : KE is an asymptotically d-weakly contractive map with sequence {kn }, kn ≥ 1, lim kn = 1 and with F(T) n int (K) ≠ ø F(T):= {xK: Tx = x}. Suppose {x n } is iteratively defined by x n+1 = P((l ? knαn )x n +k n α n T(PT) n?l xn ), n = 1,2,...,x 1K, where αn (0,l) satisfies lim αn = 0 and Σαn = ∞. It is proved that {x n } converges strongly to some x *F(T)∩ int K. Furthermore, if K is a closed convex subset of an arbitrary real Banach space and T is, in addition uniformly continuous, with F(T) ≠ ø, it is proved that {xn } converges strongly to some x *F(T).  相似文献

For an open subset U of a locally convex space E, let (H(U),τ0) denote the vector space of all holomorphic functions on U, with the compact-open topology. If E is a separable Fréchet space with the bounded approximation property, or if E is a (DFC)-space with the approximation property, we show that (H(U),τ0) has the approximation property for every open subset U of E. These theorems extend classical results of Aron and Schottenloher. As applications of these approximation theorems we characterize the spectra of certain topological algebras of holomorphic mappings with values in a Banach algebra.  相似文献

We study codeterminants in the q-Schur algebra S q (n,r) and prove that the standard ones form a basis of S q (n,r), using a quantized version of the Désarménien matrix. We find elements of the form F S 1λ E T in Lusztig’s modified enveloping algebra of gl(n), which, up to powers of q, map to the basis of standard codeterminants, where F S U and E T U + are explicitly given products of root vectors, depending on Young tableaux S and T.  相似文献

Maxwell's boundary value problem for the time-harmonic case in a smooth, bounded domain G of R 2 is considered. The optimal asymptotic L2(G) and H1(G)-error estimates 0(h2) and 0(h) resp, are derived for a piecewise linear finite element solution.  相似文献

We study isometries of certain non-self-adjoint operator algebras by means of the structure of the complete holomorphic vector fields on their unit balls and the associated partial Jordan triple products. We show that isometries of nest sub-algebras of B(H) are of the form T UTW or T UJT*JW, where U, W are suitable unitary operators and J a fixed involution of H.  相似文献

For a fibre preserving map ϕ: EE on a fibration (E, π, B), we construct a grading preserving map T(ϕ, π) between H*(E) and H*(B) that generalizes the Lefschetz number. If T(ϕ, π) is an isomorphism between H 0(E) and H 0(B), then π restricts to a surjective local diffeomorphism on each connected component of the fixed point set of ϕ under a transversality condition. This yields a characterization for the bundle HGG/H to be trivial when π 1 (G/H) = 0.  相似文献

Summary LetU 1,...,Un denote i.i.d. random variables with the uniform distribution on [0, 1]2, and letT 2T2(U1,...,Un) denote the shortest tour throughU 1,...,Un with square-weighted edges. By drawing on the quasi-additive structure ofT 2 and the boundary rooted dual process, it is shown that lim n E T 2(U 1,...,Un)= for some finite constant .This work was supported in part by NSF Grant DMS-9200656, Swiss National Foundation Grant 21-298333.90, and the US Army Research Office through the Mathematical Sciences Institute of Cornell University, whose assistance is gratefully acknowledged  相似文献

We consider direct productsS×UE G e=S 1×…×S n × UE G e of non-group finite cyclic semigroupsS i, 1 ≤in, and finite unions of finite groups UE G e We prove that if such a semigroup is isomorphic to another of the same form, sayT×U fεF H f =T 1×…×U fεF H f , whereT j are non-group cyclic semigroups, 1≤jl, and U fεF H f is a union of groups, thenS is isomorphic toT and UeεE G e is isomorphic to UfεF H f . We then determine when a finite semigroup has such a decomposition and show how the direct factors can be found.  相似文献

Let k be a perfect field with cohomological dimension 2. Serre's conjecture II claims that the Galois cohomology set H 1(k,G) is trivial for any simply connected semi-simple algebraic G/k and this conjecture is known for groups of type 1 A n after Merkurjev–Suslin and for classical groups and groups of type F 4 and G 2 after Bayer–Parimala. For any maximal torus T of G/k, we study the map H 1(k, T) H 1(k, G) using an induction process on the type of the groups, and it yields conjecture II for all quasi-split simply connected absolutely almost k-simple groups with type distinct from E 8. We also have partial results for E 8 and for some twisted forms of simply connected quasi-split groups. In particular, this method gives a new proof of Hasse principle for quasi-split groups over number fields including the E 8-case, which is based on the Galois cohomology of maximal tori of such groups.  相似文献

The paper studies the existence and nonexistence of global solutions to the Cauchy problem for a nonlinear beam equation arising in the model in variational form for the neo–Hookean elastomer rod where k1, k2>0 are real numbers, g(s) is a given nonlinear function. When g(s)=sn (where n?2 is an integer), by using the Fourier transform method we prove that for any T>0, the Cauchy problem admits a unique global smooth solution uC((0, T]; H( R ))∩C([0, T]; H3( R ))∩C1([0, T]; H?1( R )) as long as initial data u0W4, 1( R )∩H3( R ), u1L1( R )∩H?1( R ). Moreover, when (u0, u1)∈H2( R ) × L2( R ), gC2( R ) satisfy certain conditions, the Cauchy problem has no global solution in space C([0, T]; H2( R ))∩C1([0, T]; L2( R ))∩H1(0, T; H2( R )). Suppose T+(E){\mathcal{T}_{+}(E)} is the tensor algebra of a W*-correspondence E and H (E) is the associated Hardy algebra. We investigate the problem of extending completely contractive representations of T+(E){\mathcal{T}_{+}(E)} on a Hilbert space to ultra-weakly continuous completely contractive representations of H (E) on the same Hilbert space. Our work extends the classical Sz.-Nagy–Foiaş functional calculus and more recent work by Davidson, Li and Pitts on the representation theory of Popescu’s noncommutative disc algebra.  相似文献

We consider quasi-periodic Schrödinger operators H on Z of the form H=Hλ,x,ω=λv(x+)δn,n+Δ where v is a non-constant real analytic function on the d-torus Td(d?1) and Δ denotes the discrete lattice Laplacian on Z. Denote by Lω(E) the Lyapounov exponent, considered as function of the energy E and the rotation vector ω∈Td. It is shown that for |λ|>λ0(v), there is the uniform minoration Lω(E)>12log|λ| for all E and ω. For all λ and ω, Lω(E) is a continuous function of E. Moreover, Lω(E) is jointly continuous in (ω,E), at any point 0,E0)∈Td×R such that k·ω0≠0 for all k∈Zd?{0}. To cite this article: J. Bourgain, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser.
