This paper is concerned with the comparison principle for viscosity solutions of the nonlinear elliptic equation F(Du, D²u} + |u|^{s-1}u =f in R^N, where f is uniformly continuous and F satisfies some conditions about p (p > 2}. A general viscosity dependent solution for the stream function is found satisfying the simplest nondegenerate form of the steady flow Navier-Stokes equations for a viscous incompressible liquid. The solution is two-dimensional and is expressed in terms of arbitrary analytic functions in the fluid domain. This class of flows is generated by complex stream functions, and the region of definition is restricted by an inequality containing these analytic functions. A general potential flow, and degenerate Stokes or creeping flows are recovered as particular solutions in limiting cases.  相似文献

Let u α be the solution of the It? stochastic parabolic Cauchy problem , where ξ is a space—time noise. We prove that u α depends continuously on α , when the coefficients in L α converge to those in L 0 . This result is used to study the diffusion limit for the Cauchy problem in the Stratonovich sense: when the coefficients of L α tend to 0 the corresponding solutions u α converge to the solution u 0 of the degenerate Cauchy problem . These results are based on a criterion for the existence of strong limits in the space of Hida distributions (S) * . As a by-product it is proved that weak solutions of the above Cauchy problem are in fact strong solutions. Accepted 22 May 1998  相似文献

 The combined quasineutral and relaxation time limit for a bipolar hydrodynamic model is considered. The resulting limit problem is a nonlinear diffusion equation describing a neutral fluid. We make use of various entropy functions and the related entropy productions in order to obtain strong enough uniform bounds. The necessary strong convergence of the densities is obtained by using a generalized version of the “div-curl” Lemma and monotonicity methods. We prove a functional central limit theorem for the empirical process of a stationary process Xt=Yt+Vt, where Yt is a long memory moving average in i.i.d. r.v.s s, s t, and Vt=V (t, t-1,...) is a weakly dependent nonlinear Bernoulli shift. Conditions of weak dependence of Vt are written in terms of L2-norms of shift-cut differences V (t, t-n, 0,...,) – V(t,...,t-n+1, 0,...). Examples of Bernoulli shifts are discussed. The limit empirical process is a degenerated process of the form f(x)Z, where f is the marginal p.d.f. of X0 and Z is a standard normal r.v. We introduce a notion of viscosity solutions for the two-phase Stefan problem, which incorporates possible existence of a mushy region generated by the initial data. We show that a comparison principle holds between viscosity solutions, and investigate the coincidence of the viscosity solutions and the weak solutions defined via integration by parts. In particular, in the absence of initial mushy region, viscosity solution is the unique weak solution with the same boundary data.  相似文献
