A series of two-dimensionally expanded azulene-core-based π systems have been synthesized with different alkyl chain lengths in the alkoxy moieties connected to the partially oxygen-bridged triarylamine skeletons. The thermal, photophysical, and electronic properties of each compound were evaluated to determine the influence of the alkyl chain length on their effectiveness as hole-transporting materials (HTMs) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). All the synthesized molecules showed promising material properties, including high solubility, the formation of flat and amorphous films, and optimal alignment of energy levels with perovskites. In particular, the derivatives with methyl and n-butyl in the side chains retained amorphous stability up to 233 and 159 °C, respectively. Such short alkoxy chains also resulted in improved electrical device properties. The PSC device fabricated with the HTM with n-butyl side chains showed the best performance with a power conversion efficiency of 18.9 %, which compares favorably with that of spiro-OMeTAD-based PSCs (spiro-OMeTAD=2,2′,7,7′-tetrakis[N,N-bis(p-methoxyphenyl)amino]-9,9′-spirobifluorene).  相似文献

In this paper, two D-π-D type compounds, C1 and C2 , containing dihydrodinaphthopentacene (DHDNP) as a π-bridge, p-methoxydiphenylamine and p-methoxytriphenylamine groups as the donor groups were synthesized. The four 4-hexylphenyl groups at the sp3-carbon bridges of DHDNP were acquainted with control morphology and improving solubility. The light absorption, energy level, thermal properties, and application as hole-transporting materials in perovskite solar cells of these compounds were fully investigated. The HOMO/LUMO levels and energy gaps of these DHDNP-based molecules are suitable for use as hole-transporting materials in PSCs. The best power conversion efficiencies of the PVSCs based on the C1 and C2 are 15.96% and 12.86%, respectively. The performance of C1 is comparable to that of the reference compound spiro-OMeTAD (16.38%). Compared with spiro-OMeTAD, the C1 -based PVSC device showed good stability, which was slightly decreased to 98.68% of its initial efficiency after 48 h and retained 81% of its original PCE after 334 h without encapsulation. These results reveal the potential usefulness of the DHDNP building block for further development of economical and highly efficient HTMs for PVSCs.  相似文献

The development of alternative low-cost and high-performing hole-transporting materials(HTMs) is of great significance for the potential large-scale application of perovskite solar cells(PSCs) in the future. Here,a facilely synthesized solution-processable copper tetra-(2,4-dimethyl-3-pentoxy) phthalocyanine(CuPc-DMP) via only two simple steps, has been incorporated as a hole-transporting material(HTM) in mesoscopic perovskite solar cells(PSCs).The optimized devices based on such a HTM afford a very competitive power conversion efficiency(PCE) of up to 17.1%measured at 100 mW cm~(-2) AM 1.5G irradiation, which is on par with that of the well-known 2,2',7,7'-tetrakis(N'N'-di-p-methoxyphenylamine)-9,9'-spirobifluorene(spiro-OMeTAD)(16.7%) under equivalent conditions. This is,to the best of our knowledge, the highest value reported so far for metal organic complex-based HTMs in PSCs.The advantages of this HTM observed, such as facile synthetic procedure, superior hole transport characteristic, high photovoltaic performance together with the feasibility of tailoring the molecular structure would make solution-processable copper phthalocyanines as a class of promising HTM that can be further explored in PSCs.The present finding highlights the potential application of solution processed metal organic complexes as HTMs for cost-effective and high-performing PSCs.  相似文献

High-efficiency perovskite solar cells(PSCs) reported hitherto have been mostly prepared in a moisture and oxygen-free glove-box atmosphere, which hampers upscaling and real-time performance assessment of this exciting photovoltaic technology. In this work, we have systematically studied the feasibility of allambient-processing of PSCs and evaluated their photovoltaic performance. It has been shown that phasepure crystalline tetragonal MAPbI_3 perovskite films are instantly formed in ambient air at room temperature by a two-step spin coating process, undermining the need for dry atmosphere and post-annealing.All-ambient-processed PSCs with a configuration of FTO/TiO_2/MAPbI_3/Spiro-OMeTAD/Au achieve opencircuit voltage(990 mV) and short-circuit current density(20.31 mA/cm~2) comparable to those of best reported glove-box processed devices. Nevertheless, device power conversion efficiency is still constrained at 5% by the unusually low fill-factor of 0.25. Dark current–voltage characteristics reveal poor conductivity of hole-transporting layer caused by lack of oxidized spiro-OMe TAD species, resulting in high seriesresistance and decreased fill-factor. The study also establishes that the above limitations can be readily overcome by employing an inorganic p-type semiconductor, copper thiocyanate, as ambient-processable hole-transporting layer to yield a fill-factor of 0.54 and a power conversion efficiency of 7.19%. The present findings can have important implications in industrially viable fabrication of large-area PSCs.  相似文献

The development of an efficient, stable, and low-cost hole-transporting material (HTM) is of great significance for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) from future commercialization point of view. Herein, we specifically synthesize a dicationic salt of X60 termed X60(TFSI)2, and adopt it as an effective and stable "doping" agent to replace the previously used lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI) for the low-cost organic HTM X60 in PSCs. The incorporation of this dicationic salt significantly increases the hole conductivity of X60 by two orders of magnitude from 10-6 to 10-4 S cm-1. The dramatic enhancement of the conductivity leads to an impressive power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 19.0% measured at 1 sun illumination (100 mW cm-2, AM 1.5 G), which is comparable to that of the device doped with LiTFSI (19.3%) under an identical condition. More strikingly, by replacing LiTFSI, the PSC devices incorporating X60(TFSI)2 also show an excellent long-term durability under ambient atmosphere for 30 days, mainly due to the hydrophobic nature of the X60(TFSI)2 doped HTM layer, which can effectively prevent the moisture destroying the perovskite layer. The present work paves the way for the development of highly efficient, stable, and low-cost HTM for potential commercialization of PSCs.  相似文献

A novel series of thiazolothiazole (Tz)‐based copolymers, poly[9,9‐didecylfluorene‐2,7‐diyl‐alt‐2,5‐bis‐(3‐hexylthiophene‐2‐yl)thiazolo[5,4‐d]thiazole] (P1), poly[9,9‐dioctyldibenzosilole‐2,7‐diyl‐alt‐2,5‐bis‐(3‐hexylthiophene‐2‐yl)thiazolo[5,4‐d]thiazole] (P2), and poly[4,4′‐bis(2‐ethylhexyl)‐dithieno[3,2‐b:2′,3′‐d]silole‐alt‐2,5‐bis‐(3‐hexylthiophene‐2‐yl)thiazolo[5,4‐d]thiazole] (P3), were synthesized for the use as donor materials in polymer solar cells (PSCs). The field‐effect carrier mobilities and the optical, electrochemical, and photovoltaic properties of the copolymers were investigated. The results suggest that the donor units in the copolymers significantly influenced the band gap, electronic energy levels, carrier mobilities, and photovoltaic properties of the copolymers. The band gaps of the copolymers were in the range of 1.80–2.14 eV. Under optimized conditions, the Tz‐based polymers showed power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) for the PSCs in the range of 2.23–2.75% under AM 1.5 illumination (100 mW/cm2). Among the three copolymers, P1, which contained a fluorene donor unit, showed a PCE of 2.75% with a short‐circuit current of 8.12 mA/cm2, open circuit voltage of 0.86 V, and a fill factor (FF) of 0.39, under AM 1.5 illumination (100 mW/cm2). © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A novel D–A1–D–A2 copolymer denoted as P1 containing two electron withdrawing units based on benzothiadiazole (BT) and 9‐(2‐octyldodecyl)?8H‐pyrrolo[3,4‐b] bisthieno[2,3‐f:3′,2′‐h]quinoxaline‐8,10(9H)–dione (PTQD) units was synthesized and characterized. The resulting copolymer exhibits a broad‐absorption spectrum, relatively deep lying HOMO energy level (?5.44 eV) and narrow optical bandgap (1.50 eV). Bulk heterojunction (BHJ) polymer solar cells (PSCs) based on P1 as donor and PC71BM as acceptor with optimized donor to acceptor weight ratio of 1:2 and processed with DIO/CB solvent showed good photovoltaic performance with power conversion efficiency of 6.21% which is higher than that of the device processed without solvent additive (4.40%). The absorption and morphology investigations of the active layers indicated that structural and morphological changes were induced by the solvent additive. This higher power conversion efficiency could be mainly attributed to the absorption enhancement and improved charge transported in the active layer induced by the better nanoscale morphology of the active layer. This study demonstrated that a copolymer with two different acceptor moieties in the backbone may be promising candidate as donor copolymer for solution processed BHJ PSCs. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A conjugated polyelectrolyte poly(9,9‐bis(3′‐[(N,N‐dimethyl)‐N‐ethylammonium]‐propyl)‐2,7‐fluorene dibromide) (PFBr) with the feature of environmental friendliness and cheapness was successfully used in polymer solar cells (PSCs) as the cathode interfacial layer (CIL). And we successfully demonstrate that the PFBr can build interfacial dipoles at the CIL/cathode interfaces, leading to reduce cathode work functions and improve open‐circuit voltages, which decrease interfacial energy loss at the cathode. It not only improves the electron transfer efficiency but also inhibits the charge carrier recombination at the contact interface. Impedance spectra revealed that the optimal device with the smallest charge transport time constant of 2.83 microseconds was achieved under the concentration of 2 mg mL−1 of PFBr, which suggests efficient electron transport on the interface between the organic active layer and the indium tin oxide cathode. Moreover, as a consequence, the power conversion efficiency of the PSCs increases to 3.83% (with PFBr as CIL) from 1.89% (without any CIL), based on the poly(3‐hexylthiophene) and [6,6]‐phenyl C61‐butyric acid methyl ester bulk heterojunction active layer. Therefore, our observation can demonstrate PFBr is a prospective candidate as CIL for constructing low‐cost, large‐area, and flexible PSCs.  相似文献

Modulation of the electron-deficient π-bridge units in 4-methoxy-N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-N-phenylbenzenamine (MeTPA)-based hole-transporting materials (HTMs) is a significant approach to improve hole mobility of HTMs for perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In this study, a class of simple MeTPA-based HTMs (H1-H4) with different π-bridged electron-deficient units were designed for the purpose of providing a theoretical model to obtain potential MeTPA-based HTMs. The results indicated that H2 to H4 exhibit better performance, such as larger Stokes shifts, smaller exciton-binding energy, better stability, good solubility, and higher hole mobility, in comparison with the parental material H1. H2 to H4 materials with high hole mobility (5.45 × 10−4, 2.70 × 10−1, and 3.99 × 10−3 cm2 V−1 second−1, respectively) may embody promising HTMs to yield good performance in PSCs. Therefore, the useful information obtained regarding control of the electron-deficient π-bridge units of MeTPA-based HTMs is an effective way to obtain excellent HTMs for PSC applications.  相似文献

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) based on SnO2 electron transport layers have attracted extensive research due to their compelling photovoltaic performance. Herein, we presented an in situ passivation of SnO2 with low-cost hydroxyacid potassium synergist during deposition to optimize the interface carrier extraction and transport for high power conversion efficiency (PCE) and stabilities of PSCs. The orbital overlap of the carboxyl oxygen with the Sn atom alongwith the homogenous nano-particle deposition effectively suppresses the interfacial defects and releases the internal residual strains in the perovskite. Accordingly, a PCE of 24.91 % with a fill factor (FF) up to 0.852 is obtained for in situ passivated devices, which is one of the highest values for SnO2-based PSCs. Moreover, the unencapsulated device maintained 80 % of its initial PCE at 80 °C over 600 h, 100 % PCE at ambient conditions for 1300 h, and 98 % after one week maximum power point tracking (MPPT) under continuous AM1.5G illumination.  相似文献

In contrast to the traditional multistep synthesis, we demonstrate herein a two‐step synthesis shortcut to triphenylamine‐based hole‐transporting materials (HTMs) through sequential direct C?H arylations. These hole‐transporting molecules are fabricated in perovskite‐based solar cells (PSCs) that exhibit promising efficiencies up to 17.69 %, which is comparable to PSCs utilizing commercially available 2,2′,7,7′‐tetrakis[N,N‐di(4‐methoxyphenyl)amino]‐9,9′‐spirobifluorene (spiro‐OMeTAD) as the HTM. This is the first report describing the use of step‐saving C?H activations/arylations in the facile synthesis of small‐molecule HTMs for perovskite solar cells.  相似文献

A novel hole‐transporting molecule (F101) based on a furan core has been synthesized by means of a short, high‐yielding route. When used as the hole‐transporting material (HTM) in mesoporous methylammonium lead halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) it produced better device performance than the current state‐of‐the‐art HTM 2,2′,7,7′‐tetrakis‐(N,N‐di‐p‐methoxyphenylamine)‐9,9′‐spirobifluorene (spiro‐OMeTAD). The F101‐HTM‐based device exhibited both slightly higher Jsc (19.63 vs. 18.41 mA cm?2) and Voc (1.1 vs. 1.05 V) resulting in a marginally higher power conversion efficiency (PCE) (13.1 vs. 13 %). The steady‐state and time‐resolved photoluminescence show that F101 has significant charge extraction ability. The simple molecular structure, short synthesis route with high yield and better performance in devices makes F101 an excellent candidate for replacing the expensive spiro‐OMeTAD as HTM in PSCs.  相似文献

Organic semiconductors with noncovalently conformational locks (OSNCs) are promising building blocks for hole-transporting materials (HTMs). However, lack of satisfied neighboring building blocks negatively impacts the optoelectronic properties of OSNCs-based HTMs and imperils the stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). To address this limitation, we introduce the benzothieno[3,2-b]thiophene (BTT) to construct a new OSNC, and the resulting HTM ZS13 shows improved intermolecular charge extraction/transport properties, proper energy level, efficient surface passivation effect. Consequently, the champion devices based on doped ZS13 yield an efficiency of 24.39 % and 20.95 % for aperture areas of 0.1 and 1.01 cm2, respectively. Furthermore, ZS13 shows good thermal stability and the capability of inhibiting I ion migration, thus, leading to enhanced device stability. The success in neighboring-group engineering can triggered a strong interest in developing thienoacene-based OSNCs toward efficient and stable PSCs.  相似文献

Lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (Li-TFSI) has been identified as the most used and effective p-dopant for hole transport layer (HTL) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the migration and agglomeration of Li-TFSI in HTL negatively impact PSCs performance and stability. Herein, we report an effective strategy for adding a liquid crystal organic small molecule (LQ) into Li-TFSI doped (2,2′,7,7′-tetrakis(N,N-di-p-methoxyphenylamine)-9,9′- spirobifluorene (Spiro-OMeTAD) HTL. It was found that the introduction of LQ into Spiro-OMeTAD HTL can efficiently enhance the charge carrier extraction and transportation in device, which can strongly retard the charge carrier recombination in device. Consequently, the PSCs efficiency is significantly enhanced to 24.42 % (Spiro-OMeTAD+LQ) from 21.03 % (Spiro-OMeTAD). The chemical coordination between LQ and Li-TFSI can strongly confine Li+ ions migration and agglomeration of Li-TFSI, thus, achieving the enhanced device stability. Only a 9 % efficiency degradation is observed for un-encapsulated device prepared with Spiro-OMeTAD and LQ after 1700 h under air environment, while the efficiency drops by 30 % for the reference device. This work provides an effective strategy for improving the efficiency and stability of PSCs, and gives some important insights for understanding intrinsic hot carriers dynamics for perovskite-based optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

Two novel diketopyrrolopyrrole-based alternating copolymers, poly(2,7-(9,9-diethyl)-fluorenylvinylene-alt-2,5-bis(4′-octyloxyphe- nylmethyl)-3,6-bis(4-vinylenephenyl)pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4-dione) (P1) and poly(1,4-(2,5-dioctyl- oxy)-phenylenevinylene-alt-2,5-bis(4′-octyloxyphenylmethyl)-3,6-bis(4-vinylenephenyl)pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4-dione) (P2) were synthesized through Wittig polycondensation in good yields. P1 and P2 were characterized by NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis, photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL). EL devices with ITO/PEDOT/polymer/CsF/Al exhibited red-emitting light with the maximum EL wavelength at 620 nm and 682 nm. The results show that PL quantum yield of the polymers in thin film can be improved through N-alkylation of diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) with bulky substituent. EL performance of P2 was better than P1, which might be due to 1,4-dioctyloxybenzene of P2 enhancing the hole-transporting to make more charge balance. EL devices of P1 and P2 possessed low turn on voltage (2.4 V and 2.1 V, respectively), which was an advantage for PLED.  相似文献

Advancing inverted (p-i-n) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is critical for commercial applications given their compatibility with different bottom cells for tandem photovoltaics, low-temperature processability (≤100 °C), and promising operational stability. Although inverted PSCs have achieved an efficiency of over 25 % using doped or expensive organic hole transport materials (HTMs), their synthesis cost and stability still cannot meet the requirements for their commercialization. Recently, dopant-free and low-cost non-stoichiometric nickel oxide nanocrystals (NiOx NCs) have been extensively studied as a low-cost and effective HTM in perovskite optoelectronics. In this minireview, we summarize the synthesis and surface-functionalization methods of NiOx NCs. Then, the applications of NiOx NCs in other perovskite optoelectronics beyond photovoltaics are discussed. Finally, we provide a perspective for the future development of NiOx NCs for the commercialization of perovskite optoelectronics.  相似文献

A set of novel conjugated polyfluorene co‐ polymers, poly[(9,9′‐didecylfluorene‐2,7‐diyl)‐co‐(4,7′‐di‐2‐thienyl‐ 2′,1′,3′‐benzothiadiazole‐5,5‐diyl)‐co‐(pyrene‐1,6‐diyl)], are synthesized via Pd(II)‐mediated polymerization from 2,7‐bis(4′,4′,5′, 5′‐tetramethyl‐1,3,2‐dioxaborolan‐2‐yl)‐9,9′‐di‐n‐decylfluorene, 4, 7‐di(2‐bromothien‐5‐yl)‐2,1,3‐benzothiadiazole, and 1,6‐dibromopyrene with a variety of monomer molar ratios. The field‐effect carrier mobilities and optical, electrochemical, and photovoltaic properties of the copolymers are systematically investigated. The hole mobilities of the copolymers are found to be in the range 7.0 × 10?5 ? 8.0 × 10?4 cm2 V?1 s?1 and the on/off ratios were 8 × 103 ? 7 × 104. Conventional polymer solar cells (PSCs) with the configuration ITO/PEDOT:PSS/polymer:PC71BM/LiF/Al are fabricated. Under optimized conditions, the polymers display power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) for the PSCs in the range 1.99–3.37% under AM 1.5 illumination (100 mW cm?2). Among the four copolymers, P2, containing a 2.5 mol % pyrene component incorporated into poly[9,9′‐didecylfluorene‐alt‐5,5‐(4′,7′‐di‐2‐thienyl‐2′,1′,3′‐benzothiadiazole)] (PFDTBT) displays a PCE of 3.37% with a short circuit current of 9.15 mA cm?2, an open circuit voltage of 0.86 V, and a fill factor of 0.43, under AM 1.5 illumination (100 mW cm?2). © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Organic‐inorganic hybrid two‐dimensional (2D) perovskites (n≤5) have recently attracted significant attention because of their promising stability and optoelectronic properties. Normally, 2D perovskites contain a monocation [e.g., methylammonium (MA+) or formamidinium (FA+)]. Reported here for the first time is the fabrication of 2D perovskites (n=5) with mixed cations of MA+, FA+, and cesium (Cs+). The use of these triple cations leads to the formation of a smooth, compact surface morphology with larger grain size and fewer grain boundaries compared to the conventional MA‐based counterpart. The resulting perovskite also exhibits longer carrier lifetime and higher conductivity in triple cation 2D perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 2D PSCs with triple cations was enhanced by more than 80 % (from 7.80 to 14.23 %) compared to PSCs fabricated with a monocation. The PCE is also higher than that of PSCs based on binary cation (MA+‐FA+ or MA+‐Cs+) 2D structures.  相似文献

Two new side‐chain donor–acceptor (D‐A)‐based triphenylamine‐alt‐benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]dithiophene (TPA‐alt‐BDT) copolymers ( P1 and P2 ) with pendant benzothiadiazole (BT)/diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) in TPA unit were synthesized by Stille coupling polymerization. Their thermal, photophysical, electrochemical, blend film morphology and photovoltaic properties were investigated. Efficient bulk heterojunction polymer solar cells (PSCs) were obtained by solution process using both copolymers as donor materials and PC71BM as acceptor. The maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 3.17% with a highest open‐circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.86V was observed in the P1 ‐based PSCs, while the maximum short‐circuit current (Jsc) of 10.77 mA cm?2 was exhibited in the P2 ‐based PSCs under the illumination of AM 1.5, 100 mW cm?2. The alternating binary donor units and pending acceptor groups played a significant role in tuning photovoltaic properties for this class of the side‐chain D–A‐based copolymers. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The conjugated organic semiconductor spacers have drawn wide attention in two-dimensional (2D) perovskites and formamidinium (FA) has been widely used as A-site cation in high-performance 3D perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the FA-based semiconductor spacers have rarely been investigated in 2D Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) perovskites. Here, we developed two FA-based spacers containing thieno[3,2-b]thiophene (TT) and 2,2′-bithiophene (BT) units, namely TTFA and BTFA, respectively, for 2D RP PSCs. The nucleation and crystallization kinetics of TTFA-Pb and BTFA-Pb from sol-gel to film were investigated using in situ optical microscopy and in situ grazing incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering (GIWAXS) measurements. It is found that the TTFA spacer could reduce the energy barrier of nucleation and induces crystal vertical orientation of 2D perovskite by forming larger clusters in precursor solution, resulting in much improved film quality. Benefiting from the enlarged crystal grains, reduced exciton binding energy, and decreased electron-phonon coupling coefficient, the photovoltaic device based on (TTFA)2MAn−1PbnI3n+1 (n=5) achieved a champion efficiency of 19.41 %, which is a record for 2D RP PSCs with FA-based spacers. Our work provides deep understanding of the nucleation and crystallization process of 2D RP perovskite films and highlights the great potential of FA-based semiconductor spacers in highly efficient 2D PSCs.  相似文献
