We describe a silver(I)-selective carbon paste electrode modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes and a silver-chelating Schiff base, and its electrochemical response to Ag(I). Effects of reduction potential and time, accumulation time, pH of the solution and the stripping medium were studied by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry and optimized. The findings resulted in a method for the determination of silver over a linear response range (from 0.5 to 235 ng?mL?1) and with a detection limit as low as 0.08 ng?mL?1. The sensor displays good repeatability (with the RSD of ±?2.75 % for 7 replicates) and was applied to the determination of Ag(I) in water samples and X-ray photographic films.

Differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry at the wall-jet electrode requires careful consideration of flow conditions in the plating and stripping steps as well as the electrochemical parameters such as modulation amplitude and clock period. A systematic appraisal of the various factors affecting the differential pulse stripping current is described. Although the stripping current depends on the stripping solution flow rate, the differential pulse mode is preferred to dc stripping because of its greater sensitivity and the abililty to obviate oxygen interference.  相似文献

An anodic stripping voltammetric method for the determination of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) at a MCM-41 mesoporous material modified carbon paste electrode (MCM-MCPE) was investigated. The test was based on the dual monoclonal antibody “sandwich” principle using colloidal gold as a labeled substrate. Four main steps were carried out to obtain the analytical signal, i.e. electrode preparation, immunoreaction, silver enhancement, and anodic stripping voltammetric detection. The anodic stripping peak current increased linearly with the concentration of cTnI over the range of 0.8-5.0 ng/ml. A detection limit of 0.5 ng/ml was obtained. The established method was applied to detect cTnI in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) samples using routine enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay (ELISA) for comparison analysis, and good results were obtained.  相似文献

The use of selective pre-concentration and differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) using a carbon paste electrode modified (CPEM) with spinel-type manganese oxide has been proposed for the determination of lithium ions content in natural waters. The new procedure is based on the effective pre-concentration of lithium ions on the electrode surface containing spinel-type Mn(IV) oxide with the reduction of Mn(IV) to Mn(III) and consequently the lithium ions intercalation (insertion) into the spinel structure. The best DPASV response was reached for an electrode composition of 25% (m/m) spinel-type MnO2 in the paste, 0.1 mol l−1 tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane (TRIS) buffer solution of pH 8.3, scan rate of 5 mV s−1, accumulation potential of 0.3 V versus saturated calomel reference electrode (SCE), pre-concentration time of 30 s and potential pulse amplitude of 50 mV. In these experimental conditions, the proposed methodology responds to lithium ions in the concentration range of 2.8×10−6 to 2.0×10−3 mol l−1 with a detection limit of 5.6×10−7 mol l−1. The determination of the lithium ions content in different samples of natural waters samples using the proposed methodology and atomic absorption spectrophotometry are in agreement at the 95% confidence level and within an acceptable range of error.  相似文献

This work reports the use of and -cyclodextrin-modified carbon paste electrodes (CPE-CD and CPE-CD) to determine simultaneously Pb(II) and Cd(II) by means of the electrochemical technique known as anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV). Both modified electrodes displayed good resolution of the oxidation peaks of the said metals. Statistic analysis of the results strongly suggests that the CPE-CD exhibited a better analytical response that the CPE-CD, while the detection limits obtained for Pb(II) were 6.3×10–7 M for the CPE-CD and 7.14×10–7 M for the CPE-CD, whereas for Cd(II) they were 2.51×10–6 M for the CPE-CD and 2.03×10–6 M for the CPE-CD.  相似文献

A differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry was developed for the sensitive and selective determination of Co(II) at 2,4,6-tri(3,5-dimethylpyrazoyl)-1,3,5-triazine modified carbon paste electrode in 0.1 mol l(-1) NH(4)Cl solution (pH 4.95). The oxidation peak of Co(II) was observed at 0.03 V(vs. Ag/AgCl) by scanning the potential in a positive direction. The analysis procedure consisted of an open circuit accumulation step in stirred sample solution. This was followed by medium exchange to a clean solution and subsequently an anodic potential scan was effect to obtain the voltammetric peak. The current was proportional to the concentration of the Co(II) ion in a range of 1x10(-8)-1x10(-6) mol l(-1) for 3 min accumulation and in the range of 1x10(-9)-1x10(-8) mol l(-1) for 5 min accumulation; most of metal ions do not interfere with the determination. The developed method was applied to Co(II) determination in potable water.  相似文献

A glassy carbon electrode coated with film of 4-tert-butyl-1-(ethoxycarbonylmethoxy)thiacalix[4]arene is designed for the determination of trace amounts of Ag+. Compared with bare glassy carbon electrode, the modified electrode can greatly improve the measuring sensitivity for Ag+. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the modified electrode in B-R buffer solution (pH 4.5) shows a linear voltammetric response in the range of 5.0 × 10−8–3.0 × 10−6 M with detection limit 1.0 × 10−8 M for Ag+. The high sensitivity, selectivity, and stability of modified electrode also demonstrate its practical application for a simple, rapid and economical determination of Ag+ in water samples.

A new chemically modified electrode (CME), -benzoinoxime (CUPRON) modified carbon paste electrode, for determining copper(II) is reported because of its excellent selectivity and sensitivity. The electrode is made by mixing a quantity of CUPRON (25%, w/w) with graphite powder (50%, w/w) and paraffin oil (25%, w/w). The CME preferentially deposits copper from the pH 8.5 NH3-NH4Cl buffer solution containing copper(II) under an open circuit and most of metal ions do not interfere with the measurements. The detection limit (S/N of three) for determining Cu(II) is 3 × 10–10 g/ml after 10 min accumulation in fast linear scan stripping voltammetric measurement. Linear calibration curves are obtained for Cu(II) concentration ranged from 1 × 10–8 M to 1 × 10–6 M. The response can be maintained with relative standard deviation of 6.0% in a 5 × 10–6 M Cu(II) solution after eight accumulation/measurement/ regeneration cycles at the same electrode surface. The effect resulted from carbon paste preparation, reduction potential, electrode renewal, electrolyte and solution pH, preconcentration time, concentration dependence, possible interference and other variables has been evaluated. As for application, the CME demonstrates its high sensitivity and copper-selectivity in complex composition samples, such as anodic mud and polluted water.  相似文献

A sensitive method is described for the determination of trace bismuth based on the bismuth-bromopyrogallol red (BPR) adsorption at a carbon paste electrode (CPE). The overall analysis involved a three-step procedure: accumulation, reduction, and anodic stripping. Optimal conditions were found to be an electrode containing 25% paraffin oil and 75% high purity graphite powder, a 0.30 mol l−1 HCl solution containing 2.0×10−5 mol l−1 BPR as supporting medium; accumulation potential and time, −0.10 V, 3 min; reduction potential and time, −0.35 V, 60 s; scan rate 100 mV s−1; scan range from −0.35 to 0.15 V. It was found that the Bi(III)-BPR complex could be accumulated on the electrode surface during the accumulation period. Then the Bi(III) in the Bi(III)-BPR complex on the CPE surface was reduced to Bi(0) during reduction interval and finally reoxidized during the anodic stripping step for voltammetric quantification. Factors affecting the accumulation, reduction, and stripping steps were investigated. Interferences by other ions were studied as well. The detection limit was found to be 5×10−10 mol l−1 with a 3 min accumulation time. The linear range was from 1.0×10−9 to 5.0×10−7 mol l−1. Application of the procedure to the determination of bismuth in water and human hair samples gave good results.  相似文献

A sensitive adsorptive anodic stripping procedure for the determination of trace zirconium at a carbon paste electrode (CPE) has been developed. The method is based on adsorptive accumulation of the Zr(IV)-alizarin red S(ARS) complex onto the surface of the CPE, followed by oxidation of adsorbed species. The optimal experimental conditions include the use of 0.10 mol · L−1 ammonium acetate buffer (pH 4.3), ARS, an accumulation potential of 0.20 V (versus SCE), an accumulation time of 2 min, a scan rate of 200 mV · s−1 and a second-order derivative linear scan mode. The oxidation peak for the complex appears at 0.69 V. The peak current is proportional to the concentration of Zr(IV) over the range of 1.0 × 10−9–2.0 × 10−7 mol · L−1, and the detection limit is 3 × 10−10 mol · L−1 for a 2 min adsorption time. The relative standard deviations (n = 8) for 5.0 × 10−8 and 5.0 × 10−9 mol · L−1 Zr(IV) are 3.3 and 4.8%, respectively. The proposed method was applied to the determination of zirconium in ore samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The application of subtractive mode differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (SDPASV) at a stationary mercury-coated glassy carbon electrode for the analysis of labile Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II) and Cu(II) is described. It is shown that the method has an improved sensitivity to Cu(II) owing to elimination of high background currents normally encountered in normal mode DPASV at the TFME. The sensitivity limits of the present method to Cd(II) and Cu(II) is estimated to be 0.025 and 0.067 ppb respectively, when a 2 min deposition time is used. It is suggested that the high sensitivity of the method coupled to the relative simplicity of the stationary electrodes could make the method useful in environmental and natural water studies.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective method for the determination of lead(II) with a 1,4-bis(prop-2'-enyloxy)-9,10-anthraquinone (AQ) modified carbon paste electrode has been developed. The method is based on non-electrolytic preconcentration via complex formation with modifier, followed by an accumulation period with a negative potential (-1.5 V), and then by a proper anodic stripping. The analytical performance was evaluated with respect to the quantity of modifier in the paste, concentration of electrolyte solution, preconcentration time, lead(II) concentration, and other variables. A linear calibration graph was obtained in the concentration range 2.00x10(-9)-1.06x10(-5) M Pb(II) (n=21, r=0.9999) with 30 s preconcentration time. The detection limit was found to be 1x10(-9) M. For eight preconcentration/determination cycles, the differential pulse voltammetric response was reproduced with 5.0 and 3.7% relative standard deviations at 2.00x10(-8) and 2.00x10(-6) M Pb(II), respectively. Rapid and convenient renewal of electrode surface allows the use of a single modified electrode surface in multiple analytical determinations over several weeks. Many coexisting metal ions had little or no effect on the determination of lead(II). The developed method was applied to lead determination in waste waters.  相似文献

In the present work, carbon paste electrodes (CPE) modified with conducting polymers 1,8-diaminonaphtalene (DAN) was developed for the voltammetric determination of Cu(II). The modified electrode exhibited a significantly increased sensitivity and selectivity for Cu2+ compared with a bare carbon paste electrode. Copper(II) was preconcentrated at open circuit on the modified electrode. The measurements were carried out using a rotating disk electrode (RDE) as working electrode. The experimental parameters for the determination of Cu(II) were optimized. The Cu(II) ions were chemically deposited onto the surface of poly DAN-CPE in an acidic medium. Under the optimum conditions, a linear calibration graph was obtained in the concentration range of 0.1 to 250 ppb with a correlation coefficient of 0.9998. The relative standard deviation for 6 successive determinations was 4.7%. A study of interfering substances was also performed, and the method was applied to the direct determination of copper in real samples like tap water and orange juice samples. The article is published in the original.  相似文献

The behavior of a modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) for nickel determination by anodic adsorptive stripping voltammetry (AAdsSV) was studied. The electrode was built incorporating the Dowex 50W x 12 (H(+) form) ion exchanger to a Nujol-graphite base paste. Ni(2+) was preconcentrated on the electrode surface in open circuit conditions, with the reduction (-1300 mV)/reoxidation step carried out in HCl solution (pH 3). During deposition time (5 min), the hydrogen evolution did not present obstacle in the quantification of nickel. For 12 min of accumulation and 5 min of deposition, nickel can be quantified up to 600 mug l(-1). The detection limit was 0.005 mug l(-1) at a linear potential scan rate of 200 mV s(-1). Interferences from Hg(2+) and Ag(2+) up to a concentration of 1 and 0.6 mg l(-1), respectively, were eliminated with the aid of the anion exchanger Dowex-2 (mesh 200-400) which was added to the sample in the preconcentration step. The tolerance for some metal ions such as Cu(2+), Cd(2+), Fe(3+), Zn(2+), Co(2+) and Pb(2+) was improved in the same way. The method was applied for the determination of nickel in samples of tap and mineral water. At the concentration level of 50 mug l(-1) of Ni (2+), the results were in good agreement with those obtained using Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES). For a Ni(2+) concentration of 5 mug l(-1), the results obtained showed better accuracy than those obtained by ICP-AES.  相似文献

A simple and effective chemically modified carbon paste electrode (CMCPE) for the simultaneous determination of lead(II) and cadmium(II) was developed in this work. The electrode was prepared by the addition of diacetyldioxime into a carbon paste mixture. Pb2+ and Cd2+ were preconcentrated on the surface of the modified electrode by complexing with diacetyldioxime and reduced at a negative potential (−1.10 V). Then the reduced products were oxidized by differential pulse stripping. The fact that two stripping peaks appeared on the voltammograms at the potentials of −0.65 V (Cd2+) and −0.91 V (Pb2+) demonstrates the possibility of simultaneous determination of Pb2+ and Cd2+. Under the optimized working conditions, calibration graphs were linear in the concentration ranges of 1.0×10−7-1.5×10−5 mol l−1 (Pb2+) and 2.5×10−7-2.5×10−5 mol l−1 (Cd2+), respectively. For 5 min preconcentration, detection limits of 1×10−8 mol l−1 (Pb2+) and 4×10−8 mol l−1 (Cd2+) were obtained at the signal noise ratio (SNR) of 3. To evaluate the reproducibility of the newly developed electrode, the measurements of 5×10−7 mol l−1 Pb2+ and Cd2+ were parallel carried out for six times at different electrodes and the relative standard deviations were 2.9% (Pb2+) and 3.2% (Cd2+), respectively. Interferences by some metals were investigated. Only Ni2+ and Hg2+ apparently affected the peak currents of Pb2+ and Cd2+. The diacetyldioxime modified carbon paste electrode was applied to the determination of Pb2+ and Cd2+ in water samples. The results indicate that this electrode is sensitive and effective for the simultaneous determination of Pb2+ and Cd2+.  相似文献

Solid paraffin-based carbon paste electrodes modified with 2-aminothiazole organofunctionalized silica have been applied to the anodic stripping determination of copper ions in ethanol fuel samples without any sample treatment. The proposed method comprised four steps: (1) copper ions preconcentration at open circuit potential directly in the ethanol fuel sample; (2) exchange of the solution and immediate cathodic reduction of the absorbate at controlled potential; (3) differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry; (4) electrochemical surface regeneration by applying a positive potential in acid media. Factors affecting the preconcentration, reduction and stripping steps were investigated and the optimum conditions were employed to develop the analytical procedure. Using a preconcentration time of 20 min and reduction time of 120 s at −0.3 V versus Ag/AgClsat a linear range from 7.5 × 10−8 to 2.5 × 10−6 mol L−1 with detection limit of 3.1 × 10−8 mol L−1 was obtained. Interference studies have shown a decrease in the interference effect according to the sequence: Ni > Zn > Cd > Pb > Fe. However, the interference effects of these ions have not forbidden the application of the proposed method. Recovery values between 98.8 and 102.3% were obtained for synthetic samples spiked with known amounts of Cu2+ and interfering metallic ions. The developed electrode was successfully applied to the determination of Cu2+ in commercial ethanol fuel samples. The results were compared to those obtained by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy by using the F-test and t-test. Neither F-value nor t-value have exceeded the critical values at 95% confidence level, confirming that there are no significant differences between the results obtained by both methods.  相似文献

A novel method is described for determination of metoclopramide (MCP) by second-derivative adsorptive anodic stripping voltammetry with a nafion-modified electrode. The stripping peak current is proportional to the concentration of MCP over the range 1.2×10−9–4.6×10−7 M. The detection limit is 8.0×10−11 M with 4-min accumulation. The method has been successfully applied to the determination of MCP in human serum.  相似文献
