In this study, we demonstrated a highly sensitive electrochemical sensor for the simultaneous detection of Pb (II) and Cd (II) in aqueous solution using carbon paste electrode modified with Eichhornia crassipes powder by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry. The effect of modifier composition, pH, preconcentration time, reduction potential and time, and type of supporting electrolyte on the determination of metal ions were investigated. Pre-concentration on the modified surface was performed at open circuit. The modified electrode exhibited well-defined and separate stripping peaks for Pb (II) and Cd (II). Under optimum experimental conditions, a linear range for both metal ions was from 10 to 5000 μg L?1 with the detection limits of 4.9 μg L?1, 2.1 μg L?1 for Cd(II) and Pb (II), respectively. The modified electrode was found to be sensitive and selective when applied to determine trace amounts of Cd (II) and Pb (II) in natural water samples.  相似文献

A new composite electrode is described for anodic stripping voltammetry determination of Pb(II) at trace level in aqueous solution. The electrode is based on the use of multiwalled carbon nanotubes and Amberlite IR-120. The anodic stripping voltammograms depend, to a large extent, on the composition of the modified electrode and the preconcentration conditions. Under optimum conditions, the anodic peak current at around ?0.57 V is linearly related to the concentration of Pb(II) in the range from 9.6?×?10?8 to 1.7?×?10?6 mol L?1 (R?=?0.998). The detection limit is 2.1?×?10?8 mol L?1, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) at 0.24?×?10?6 mol L?1 is 1.7% (n?=?6). The modified electrode was applied to the determination of Pb(II) using the standard addition method; the results showed average relative recoveries of 95% for the samples analysed.

This work reports the utility of an iridium microwire plated in situ with a bismuth film for the simultaneous determination of Pb(II) and Cd(II) by square‐wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV). The experimental variables (concentration of the bismuth plating solution, preconcentration potential, accumulation time) were investigated. The limit of detection was 1 µg L?1 for Pb(II) and 1.5 µg L?1 for Cd(II) (at 300 s of preconcentration) and the % relative standard deviations were lower than 4.9 % and 5.5 %, respectively, at the 20 µg L?1 level (n=8). In addition, a study was made of coating the iridium‐based bismuth‐film microsensor with a film of Nafion for operation in the presence of surfactants. Finally, the electrode was applied to the determination of Pb(II) and Cd(II) in wastewater and tapwater samples.  相似文献

A sensitive and simple method has been established for simultaneous preconcentration of trace amounts of Pb (II) and Ni (II) ions in water samples prior to their determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. This method was based on the using of a micro-column filled with graphene oxide as an adsorbent. The influences of various analytical parameters such as solution pH, adsorbent amount, eluent type and volume, flow rates of sample and eluent, and matrix ions on the recoveries of the metal ions were investigated. Using the optimum conditions, the calibration graphs were linear in the range of 7–260 and 5–85 μg L?1 with detection limits (3Sb) of 2.1 and 1.4 μg L?1 for lead and nickel ions, respectively. The relative standard deviation for 10 replicate determinations of 50 μg L?1 of lead and nickel ions were 4.1% and 3.8%, respectively. The preconcentration factors were 102.5 and 95 for lead and nickel ions, respectively. The adsorption capacity of the adsorbent was also determined. The method was successfully applied to determine the trace amounts of Pb (II) and Ni (II) ions in real water samples. The validation of the method was also performed by the standard reference material.  相似文献

A simple and automated method involving in-capillary derivatization and in-capillary preconcentration was developed for the simultaneous determination of metal ions by capillary zone electrophoresis. Fe(II), Zn(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) were derivatized using 1,10-phenanthroline as the derivatizing agent. The in-capillary derivatization and in-capillary preconcentration via large volume injection were performed sequentially as follows: 60 mmol L?1 1,10-phenanthroline was first hydrodynamically injected (0.2 psi) for 2 s; metal ions were introduced by hydrodynamic injection (0.5 psi) for 60 s; 0.2 mol L?1 acetate pH 5.5 containing 20 % methanol was used as the running buffer. Four metal ions can be determined within 8 min using 16 kV. The resulting preconcentration factors were in the range 12–21. Good linearity was obtained for concentrations of 0.1–8.0 mg L?1 (r 2 > 0.990). The mean recoveries of the metal ions evaluated by fortification of wine samples were in the range 90–102 %. The limits of detection ranged from 0.05 to 0.2 mg L?1. The proposed method can be applied for directly determining metal ions in wine samples.  相似文献

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam waste (white pollutant) was utilised for the synthesis of novel chelating resin i.e. EPS-N = N-α-Benzoin oxime (EPS-N = N-Box). The synthesised resin was characterised by FT-IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis. A selective method for the preconcentration of Pb(II) ions on EPS-N = N-Box resin packed in mini-column was developed. The sorbed Pb(II) ions were eluted with 5.0 mL of 2.0 mol L?1 HCl and determined by microsample injection system coupled flame atomic absorption spectrometry (MIS-FAAS). The average recovery of Pb(II) ions was achieved 95.5% at optimum parameters such as pH 7, resin amount 400 mg, flow rates 1.0 mL min?1 (of eluent) and3.0 mL min?1 (of sample solution). The total saturation capacity of the resin, limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) of Pb(II) ions were found to be 30 mg g?1, 0.033 μg L?1 and 0.107 μg L?1, respectively with preconcentration factor of 300. The accuracy, selectivity and validation of the method was checked by analysis of sea water (BCR-403), wastewater (BCR-715) and Tibet soil (NCS DC-78302) as certified reference materials (CRMs). The proposed method was applied successfully for the trace determination of Pb(II) ions in aqueous samples.  相似文献

We have developed a sensor for the square wave anodic stripping voltammetric determination of Pb(II). A glassy carbon electrode was modified with a thin film of an antimony/poly(p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid) composite in air-saturated aqueous solution of pH 2.0. Compared to a conventional antimony film electrode, the new one yields a larger stripping signal for Pb(II). The conditions of polymerization, the concentration of Sb(III), the pH value of the sample solution, the deposition potential and time, frequency, potential amplitude, and step increment potential were optimized. Under the optimum conditions, a linear response was observed for Pb(II) in the range of 0.5 to 150.0 μg?L?1. The detection limit for Pb(II) is 0.1 μg?L?1.

The surface of a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was modified by electropolymerization of p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid (p-ABSA) and the modified electrode was then prepared by in situ depositing antimony and target metal on the poly(p-ABSA) coated glassy carbon electrode. The antimony/poly(p-ABSA) film electrode displays high electrochemical activity in giving a peak current that is proportional to the concentration of Pb(II) in a certain range.  相似文献

Polystyrene (PS) was extracted from styrofoam waste and functionalised with schiff base, N,N-bis(salicylidene)cyclohexanediamine (SCHD) through an azo spacer. The resin was characterised and used for preconcentration of Pb(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) ions prior to their trace determinations by microsample injection system–coupled flame atomic absorption spectrometry (MIS-FAAS). The recoveries of studied metal ions were achieved ≥96.0% with relative standard deviation (RSD) ≤4.5 at optimum parameters: pH 8; resin amount 300 mg; flow rates 3.0 mL min?1 of sample solution; and 2.0 mL min?1 of eluent (2.0 mol L?1 HNO3). The limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantification (LOQs) were found to be 0.32, 0.23 and 0.21 and 1.10, 0.78 and 0.69 μg L?1, respectively, with preconcentration factors (PFs) of 500, 800 and 1000, respectively. The linear ranges of the method were 1–40, 1–25 and 1–20 μg L?1 for Pb(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) ions, respectively. The accuracy and validation of the method were evaluated by analysis of certified reference materials (CRMs). The method was successfully applied for preconcentration of studied metal ions in wastewater and wastewater-irrigated vegetable samples.  相似文献

We report on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with a lead ionophore and multiwalled carbon nanotubes. It can be applied to square wave anodic stripping voltammetric determination of Pb(II) ion after preconcentration of Pb(II) at ?1.0?V (vs. SCE) for 300?s in pH?4.5 acetate buffer containing 400?μg?L?1 of Bi(III). The ionophore-MWCNTs film on the GCE possesses strong and highly selective affinity for Pb(II) as confirmed by quartz crystal microbalance experiments. Under the optimum conditions, a linear response was observed for Pb(II) ion in the range from 0.3 to 50?μg?L?1. The limit of detection (at S/N?=?3) is 0.1?μg?L?1. The method was applied to the determination of Pb(II) in water samples with acceptable recovery.

Abstract

A novel voltammetric method—anodic—using a bismuth/poly(aniline) film electrode has been developed for simultaneous measurement of Pb(II) and Cd(II) at low µg L?1 concentration levels by stripping voltammetry. The results confirmed that the bismuth/poly(aniline) film electrode offered high‐quality stripping performance compared with the bismuth film electrode. Well‐defined sharp stripping peaks were observed for Pb(II) and Cd(II), along with an extremely low baseline. The detection limits of Pb(II) and Cd(II) are 1.03 µg L?1 and 1.48 µg L?1, respectively. The bismuth/poly (aniline) electrode has been applied to the determination of Pb(II) in tap water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A new solid-phase extraction method utilising polyacrylonitrile activated carbon fibres (PAN-ACFs) as adsorbent was developed for the preconcentration of trace metal ions prior to their determination by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The PAN-ACFs oxidised with nitric acid were characterised by FT-IR, XRD, SEM and BET analysis. Then the resulting PAN-ACFs were used as solid-phase adsorbent for simultaneously determination of trace Al(III), Be(II), Bi(III), Cr(III), Cu(II), Fe(III) and Pb(II) ions in aqueous solutions. The influences of the analytical parameters on the recoveries of the studied ions were investigated. The optimum experimental conditions of the proposed method were pH: 6.0; eluent concentration and volume: 3.0 mL of 1.5 mol L?1 nitric acid; flow rates of sample and eluent solution: 1.5 mL min?1. The preconcentration factors were found to be 67 for Al(III), Bi(III); 83 for Cr(III), Cu(II), Fe(III) and 50 for Be(II), Pb(II). The precision of this method was in range of 1.5%~3.5% and the detection limit of this metal ions was between 0.06~1.50 μg L?1. The developed method was validated by the analysis of a certified reference sample and successfully applied to the determination of trace metal ions in water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A new chemically modified carbon paste electrode for Cd(II) ions based on 3,5-dinitro-N-(tri-2-pyridyl methyl) benzamide (DNTPMBA) as an ionophore was prepared. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian response for Cd(II) ions over a wide concentration range (2.16 × 10?7–1.00 × 10?1 mol L?1) with a slope of 30 ± 1 mV per decade. It has a response time of about 50 s and can be used for a period of 3 months with good reproducibility. Detection limit obtained in the optimal conditions was 1.82 × 10?7 mol L?1. The electrode was successfully used for potentiometric determination of Cd(II) in well water. The pH influence and interference of some cations were also studied.  相似文献

Nafion‐coated antimony film electrode (NCAFE) was prepared in situ by simultaneously plated antimony with analytes, and applied to the determination of trace Pb(II) and Cd(II) in non‐deaerated solutions by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). Various experimental parameters, which influenced the response of the NCAFE to those metals, were thoroughly optimized and discussed. The results indicated that the sensitivity and resistance to surfactants at the NCAFE were remarkably improved with relative to the antimony film electrode (AFE). In the presence of 5 mg·L?1 gelatin, the peak heights at the NCAFE showed 4‐fold enhancement for Pb and a 9‐fold enhancement for Cd over a bare AFE. Reproducibility of the sensor was satisfactory, and the relative standard deviations were 4.8% for 20 μg·L?1 Pb and 3.2% for 25 μg·L?1 Cd (n=15) with preconcentration time of 180 s. The determination limits (S/N=3) of this sensor were determined to be 0.15 μg·L?1 for Pb and 0.30 μg·L?1 for Cd with accumulation time of 300 s. The NCAFE was successfully applied to determining Pb(II) and Cd(II) in vegetable and water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Reversed phase liquid chromatography using UV detection was developed for the simultaneous analysis of Hg(II), Pb(II), Cd(II), Ni(II), Fe(III) and V(V) ions after their complexation with pyrrolidine-dithiocarbamate (PDC). Optimum chromatographic conditions were a μ-Bondapak C18 column and an isocratic mobile phase consisting of 40 mmol L?1 SDS, 34 mmol L?1 TBABr and 68% acetonitrile in 10 mmol L?1 phosphate buffer pH 3.5. The separation of six PDC complexes was achieved within 8 min. Analytical performances and method validation were investigated. The detection limits ranged from 0.16 μg L?1(Fe(III)) to 5.40 μg L?1(Pb(II)). Recoveries obtained for all the studied samples including tap water, whole blood and vegetables were 72–98%. The results obtained from the proposed method were not significantly different compared to those obtained from atomic absorption spectrometry (P = 0.05).  相似文献

We have developed a “turn on” model of an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) based assay for lead ions. It is based on the formation of a G-quadruplex from an aptamer labeled with quantum dots (QDs) and placed on an electrode modified with of graphene and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). A hairpin capture probe was labeled with a thiol group at the 5′-end and with an amino group at the 3′-end. It was then self-assembled on the electrode modified with graphene and AuNPs. In the absence of Pb(II), the amino tag on one end of the hairpin probe is close to the surface of the electrode and therefore unable to interact with the QDs because of steric hindrance. The ECL signal is quite weak in this case. If, however, Pb(II) is added, the stem-loop of the aptamer unfolds to form a G-quadruplex. The amino group at the 3′-end will become exposed and can covalently link to a carboxy group on the surface of the CdTe QDs. This leads to strong ECL. Its intensity increases (“turns on”) with the concentration of Pb(II). Such a “turn-on” method does not suffer from the drawbacks of “turn-off” methods. ECL intensity is linearly related to the concentration of Pb(II) in the 10 p mol·L?1 to 1 n mol·L?1 range, with a 3.8 p mol·L?1 detection limit. The sensor exhibits very low detection limits, good selectivity, satisfying stability, and good repeatability.

A “turn on” model of ECL method was developed based on G-quadruplex of Graphene/AuNPs of aptamer probe by using quantum dots as label. ECL intensity is increased with the increase of Pb2+ concentration. The responsive ECL intensity was linearly related to the Pb2+ concentration in the range of 1.0?×?10?11?~?1.0?×?10?9 mol·L?1, with a detection limit of 3.82?×?10?12 mol·L?1.  相似文献

In this work functionalised mesoporous silica spheres have been utilised for the simultaneous preconcentration of nickel and cobalt. The silica spheres (SiSPs) prepared by the sol-gel method were functionalised with sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC-SiSPs). They were characterised by SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR, CHN and nitrogen adsorption. The adsorption efficiency of DDTC-SiSPs was examined by batch equilibrium technique. The DDTC-SiSPs showed 100% adsorption for Ni (II) and Co (II). The effect of changing variables such as pH, shaking time, sample volume, preconcentration factor, eluent type and volume were investigated so as to obtain maximum recovery with high selectivity over interfering ions. The maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 15.15 mg g?1 and 11.80 mg g?1 for Ni (II) and Co (II) respectively using DDTC-SiSPs. 100% recovery was achieved with 5 mL of 2 M HNO3. The maximum preconcentration factor was 400 and the 3σ limits of detection were 0.201 µg L?1 and 0.198 µg L?1 for Ni (II) and Co (II) respectively. Thermodynamic studies showed that adsorption of Ni (II) and Co (II) on DDTC-SiSPs is exothermic with enthalpy changes of –0.514 KJ mol?1 and –0.854 KJ mol?1 for Ni (II) and Co (II) respectively. The method was applied to the preconcentration and determination of Ni (II) and Co (II) from tap, river and sea water.  相似文献

This work reports the trace determination of Tl(I) by square‐wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) on novel microsensors equipped with a bismuth‐film electrode (BiFE). The sensors were fabricated by a multistep microfabrication approach combining sputtering (to deposit the electrode materialm, bismuth‐ and the insulator SiO2, on the surface of a silicon wafer) and photolithography (to define the geometry of the sensor). The effect of the preconcentration time, the preconcentration potential and the SW stripping parameters were investigated. Using the selected conditions, the 3σ limit of detection was 0.6 µg L?1 of Tl(I) at a preconcentration time of 240 s and the percent relative standard deviation was 4.3 % at the 10 µg L?1 level (n=8). In order to eliminate the interference caused by Pb(II) and Cd(II), EDTA was added in the sample solution The method was successfully applied to the determination of Tl(I) in a certified lake water sample. These new sensors exhibit excellent mechanical stability and offer wide scope as mercury‐free disposable sensors for trace metal analysis.  相似文献

This work reports the determination of bisphenol A (BPA) released from baby feeding bottles by adsorptive stripping voltammetry on a diphenylether carbon paste electrode (DPE-CPE). BPA was as accumulated on the surface of the DPE-CPE by an adsorptive/extractive mechanism at ?0.20 V in B-R buffer at pH 7.0. Following pre-concentration, an anodic scan was applied in the range ?0.20 V to +1.00 V during which BPA was oxidized and the oxidation peak current was related to the BPA concentration in the sample. The parameters related to both the preconcentration and stripping step were investigated. Using the selected conditions, the limit of detection for BPA was 7.8 × 10?9 mol L?1 at a preconcentration time of 240 s and the % relative standard deviation was 4.2% for 6.7 × 10?7 mol L?1 of BPA (n = 8). The proposed method was applied to the determination of BPA leaching from polycarbonate baby feeding bottles under simulated conditions of typical use. The results compared well with those obtained with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).  相似文献

The present paper describes the feasibility of on-line preconcentration of nickel ions from aqueous medium on Ni(II)-imprinted cross-linked poly(methacrylic acid) (IIP) synthesised through a double-imprinting method and their subsequent determination by FAAS. The proposed method consisted in loading the sample (20.0 mL, pH 7.25) through a mini-column packed with 50 mg of the IIP for 2 min. The elution step was performed with 1.0 mol L?1 HNO3 at a flow rate of 7.0 mL min?1. The following parameters were obtained: quantification limit (QL) – 3.74 µg L?1, preconcentration factor (PF) – 36, consumption index (CI) – 0.55 mL, concentration efficiency (CE) – 18 min?1, and sample throughput – 25 h?1. The precision of the procedure assessed in terms of repeatability for ten determinations was 5.6% and 2.5% for respective concentrations of 5.0 and 110.0 µg L?1. Moreover, the analytical curve was obtained in the range of 5.0–180.0 µg L?1 (r = 0.9973), and a 1.64-fold increase in the method sensitivity was observed when compared with the analytical curve constructed for the NIP (non-imprinted polymer), thus suggesting a synergistic effect of the Ni(II) ions and CTAB on the adsorption properties of the IIP. The practical application of the adsorbent was evaluated from an analysis of tap, mineral, lake and river water. Considering the results of addition and recovery experiments (90.2–100 %), the efficiency of this adsorbent can be ensured for the interference-free preconcentration of the Ni(II) ions.  相似文献

A dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (DLLME) method for separation/preconcentration of ultra trace amounts of Co(II) and its determination with FAAS was developed. The DLLME behavior of Co(II) using Aliquat 336-chloride as ion pairing agent was systematically investigated. The factors influencing the ion pair formation and extraction by DLLME method were optimized. Under the optimized conditions for 150 µL of extraction solvent (carbon tetrachloride), 1.5 mL disperser solvent (acetonitrile) and 5 mL of sample, the enrichment factor was 30. The detection limit was 5.6 µg L?1 and the RSD for replicate measurements of 1 mg L?1 was 1.32 %. The calibration graph using the preconcentration system for cobalt was linear from 40 to 400 µg L?1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.999. The proposed method was successfully applied for determination of cobalt in black tea, paprika and marjoram real samples.  相似文献
