Platinum containing compounds have shown antineoplastic potential, but their clinical applications have been limited by high toxicity. Ruthenium containing complexes have long been known to be well suited for biological applications, and have long been utilized as replacements to popular platinum based-drugs. Here, we report a novel series of ruthenium(II) arene compounds bearing thiosemicarbazone and isonicotinylhydrazone ligands with potent anticancer activity their structure activity relationships and apoptosis was studied. The cytotoxic activity of the new ruthenium(II) arene compounds has been evaluated in several cell lines (Molt 4/C8, L1210, CEM, HL60 and BEL7402). Among them, ten complexes were found to be excellent in vitro growth inhibitory activity against various cell lines with IC50 in the sub-micromolar range.  相似文献

An inclusion complex of hydroxymethylferrocene (FeMeOH) with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) was prepared in the solid state by different techniques such as physical mixture, coprecipitation, kneading and freeze-drying. The formation of the inclusion complex was confirmed by X-ray Powder Diffractometry and Fourier Transform-Infrared spectroscopy. In aqueous solution, the 1:1 stoichiometry was established by a Job plot. The inclusion complex formation was also investigated by NMR and the stability constant (Kb) of the complex was determined to be 478 M?1, which is in agreement with that obtained with UV-Vis tritation (Kb = 541.3 M?1). The phase solubility study showed a diagram classified as Bs type and that the solubility of FeMeOH was slightly increased in the presence of β-CD. Furthermore, utilizing phase solubility diagram data, the Kb was estimated to be equal to 528.0 M?1. The cytotoxic activity of FeMeOH and its complexation product with β-CD was determined using the MTT-assay on MDA-MB-231 cell line, showing that the inclusion complex has a higher capability of inhibiting cell growth compared to that of pure FeMeOH.  相似文献

Because catalysis by metals is a surface phenomenon, many technological catalysts contain small (typically nanometre-sired) supported metal particles with a large fraction of the atoms exposed. Many reactions, such as hydrocarbon hydrogenations, are structure-insensitive, proceeding at approximately the same rates on metal particles of various sizes provided that they are larger than 1 nm and show bulk-like metallic behavior. But the catalytic properties are not known when metal particles become so small that their sizes are indium clusters consisting of several indium atoms. Here the catalytic behavior of precisely defined clusters of just four and six indium atoms on solid supports is shown. It is found that the Ir4 and Ir6 clusters differ in catalytic activity both from each other and from metallic Ir particles.  相似文献

Three Keggin-type polyoxometalates functionalized by amino acids, (C5H13N2O2)2(H3O)PMo12O40·8H2O 1, (C5H14N2O2)2SiMo12O40·12H2O 2 and (C5H14N2O2)2GeMo12O40·12H2O 3, were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H?NMR spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The X-ray crystallographic study showed that the structures of the three compounds involved N–H···O and O–H···O hydrogen bonds among the protonated ornithine cations, water molecules and the heteropolyanion cluster, and thus represent a model interaction between polyoxometalates and proteins. These complexes display inhibitory actions to the human cancer cells Hela and PC-3?m in vitro.  相似文献

Chloroquine base (CQ) reacts with [Ir(COD)Cl]2 and IrCl3 · 3H2O to yield of Ir(CQ)Cl(COD) (1) and Ir2Cl6(CQ) · 3H2O (2), respectively. Reaction of [Ir(COD)Cl]2 with CQ in the presence of NH4PF6 leaded to [Ir(CQ)(Solv)2]PF6 (3). The three new iridium–CQ complexes were characterized by a combination of elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopies and evaluated in vitro against Plasmodium beghei. Comparison of the IC50 values obtained with the experimental compounds with that determined for chloroquine diphosphate indicated a higher activity for complex 2, while complexes 1 and 3 showed a similar and lower activity, respectively.  相似文献

In the present study influence of nature of selected cyclodextrins (CDs) and of methods of preparation of drug–CD complexes on the oral bioavailability, in vitro dissolution studies and pharmacodynamic activity of a sparingly water soluble drug rosuvastatin (RVS) was investigated. Phase solubility studies were conducted to find the interaction of RVS with β-CD and its derivatives, which indicated the formation of 1:1 stoichiometric inclusion complex. The apparent stability constant (K1:1) calculated from phase solubility diagram were in the rank order of β-CD < hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) < randomly methylated-β-cyclodextrin (RM-β-CD). Equimolar drug–CD solid complexes prepared by different methods were characterized by the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray diffractometry (XRD). FTIR study demonstrated the presence of intermolecular hydrogen bonds and ordering of the molecule between RVS and CDs in inclusion complexes. DSC and XRD analysis confirmed formation of inclusion complex by freeze dried method with HP-β-CD and RM-β-CD. Aqueous solubility and dissolution studies indicated improved dissolution rates of prepared complexes in comparison with drug alone. Moreover, CD complexes demonstrated of significant improvement in reducing total cholesterol and triglycerides levels as compared to pure drug. However the in vivo results only partially agreed with those obtained from phase solubility studies.  相似文献

Abstract

New isatin-β-thiocarbohydrazone hybrids 4-17 were designed relied on isatin scaffold to generate various analogs with expected antimicrobial activity. The new hybrids were estimated for antibacterial effectiveness over S. aureus, B. cereus and E. coli, and antifungal efficacy over C. albicans and A. fumigatus. Compound 14 evinced the highest efficacy over A. fumigatus and C. albicans. In addition, 5 and 12 showed eminent efficacy toward A. fumigatus, where compounds 4, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 16 exhibited moderate activity over the same fungus. Moreover, 6 and 9 displayed moderate activity over C. albicans. The new compounds were also estimated for antiquorum-sensing effectiveness against C. violacium, where compound 17 showed interesting activity. In vitro cytotoxicity assay of the new analogs was done over Hela and COS-7 cancer cell lines. All analogs have IC50 values >50?μM toward both cell lines.  相似文献

Impregnation of as-synthesized MCM-41 silica by ethanolic solutions of rhodium(III) chloride was tested as an alternative to its introduction into the synthesis gel to get, after calcination and reduction by H2, highly dispersed metal(0) nanoparticles throughout the mesopores network. Rh(III) and Rh(0)–based solids thus obtained were analyzed by infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis, transmission electron microscopy, N2 sorption, and X-ray diffraction. Materials with 1.6 wt % of rhodium could be obtained as a result of CTA+/Rh3+ exchange. The determining role of CTA+ was emphasized through blank experiments. In a second series of materials, ethanol was also exploited for its ability to reduce Rh(III). All Rh(0)-based solids were tested as catalysts in the hydrogenation of styrene under mild temperature and pressure conditions. Catalysis performances of the most efficient sample (reduced by H2) were further compared with those of a very similar material prepared by the introduction of Rh(III) directly into the synthesis gel of MCM-41 silica. Better cis selectivities in the hydrogenation of disubstituted arene derivatives were achieved with materials issued from the new preparation method.  相似文献

2-Deoxy-2-iodo--d-mannopyranosides of triterpene alcohols of the oleanane series were synthesized inca. 60% yields by glycosylation with readily accessibled-glucal triacetate in the presence ofN-iodosuccinimide as the promotor. In this paper, p–n junction photocatalyst NiO/ZnO was prepared by the sol–gel method using Ni (NO3)2 and zinc acetate as the raw materials. The structural and optical properties of the p–n junction photocatalyst NiO/ZnO were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis, UV–Vis diffuse reflection spectrum (DRS) and the fluorescence emission spectra. The photocatalytic activity of the photocatalyst was evaluated by photocatalytic reduction of Cr2O7 2− and photocatalytic oxidation of methyl orange (MO). The results showed that the photocatalytic activity of the p–n junction photocatalyst NiO/ZnO is much higher than that of ZnO on the photocatalytic reduction of Cr2O7 2−. However, the photocatalytic activity of the photocatalyst is much lower than that of ZnO on the photocatalytic oxidation of methyl orange. Namely, the p–n junction photocatalyst NiO/ZnO has higher photocatalytic reduction activity, but lower photocatalytic oxidation activity. The heat treatment condition also influences the photocatalytic activity strongly, and the best preparation condition is about 400 °C for 2 h. Effect of the heat treatment condition on the photocatalytic activity of the photocatalyst was also investigated. The mechanisms of influence on the photocatalytic activity were discussed by the p–n junction principle.  相似文献

Electrochemical oxidation of diphenylamine(DPA)in acetonitrile solution producedan adhesive conducting polydiphenylamine(PDPA)film on the electrode,which exhibited multiplecolour variation in a wide range of potential.The polymer was characterized by cyclic voltam-merry,FTIR and ESR.The results indicate that the electropolymerization of diphenylamine per-forms via the 4,4'C—C phenyl-phenyl coupling mechanism.FTIR,ESR and conductivity mea-surements for the different states of PDPA show that polydiphenylamine can be reversibly dopedand dedoped either chemically or electrochemically.It is evidenced also that there are paramagneticspecies—polarons in PDPA supposed to be the current carrier.  相似文献

A series of CeO2–ZrO2 with different molybdenum (8–20 wt% MoO3) loaded materials were prepared by homogeneous co-precipitation followed by impregnation method. The prepared materials were tested for their catalytic activity performance in the synthesis of β-enaminones by condensation of various anilines with dimedone under solvent-free conditions in microwave providing excellent yields within short reaction time. An obtained result reveals that, catalytic activity increases with increase in Mo wt% loading. The particle size of prepared materials was estimated using Debye–Scherrer equation. Particle size increases with increase in Mo wt% loading providing nanosized particle ranging from 7.11 to 42.09 nm. The synthesized materials were characterized by means of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) techniques.  相似文献

Crosslinked chitosan-based nanofibers were successfully prepared via electrospinning technique with heat mediated chemical crosslinking followed.The structure,morphology and mechanical property of nanofibers were characterized by attenuated total reflection-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Instron machine,respec- tively.The results showed that,nanofibers exhibited a smooth surface and regular morphology,and tensile strength of nanofibers improved with increasing of triethylene glycol dimethacrylate(TEGDMA)content.  相似文献
