We propose a new simulation computational method to solve the reduced BCS Hamiltonian based on spin analogy and submatrix diagonalization. Then we further apply this method to solve superconducting energy gap and the results are well consistent with those obtained by Bogoliubov transformation method. The exponential problem of 2N-dimensional matrix is reduced to the polynomial problem of N-dimensional matrix. It is essential to validate this method on a real quantum computer and is helpful to understanding the many-body quantum theory.  相似文献

The equilibrium between the so-called 2SC and CFL phases of strange quark matter at high densities is investigated in the framework of a simple schematic model of the NJL type. Equal densities are assumed for quarks u,d and s. The 2SC phase is here described by a color-flavor symmetric state, in which the quark numbers are independent of the color-flavor combination. In the CFL phase the quark numbers depend on the color-flavor combination, that is, the number of quarks associated with the color-flavor combinations ur,dg,sb is different from the number of quarks associated with the color flavor combinations ug,ub,dr,db,sr,sg. We find that the 2SC phase is stable for a chemical potential μ below μ c ?=?0.505 GeV, while the CFL phase is stable above, the equilibrium pressure being P c ?=?0.003 GeV4. We have used a 3-momentum regularizing cutoff Λ?=?0.8 GeV, which is somewhat larger than is usual in NJL type models. This should be adequate if the relevant chemical potential does not exceed 0.6 GeV.  相似文献

We analyze in full mathematical rigor the most general quartically perturbed invariant probability measure for a random tensor. Using a version of the Loop Vertex Expansion (which we call the mixed expansion) we show that the cumulants write as explicit series in 1/N plus bounded rest terms. The mixed expansion recasts the problem of determining the subleading corrections in 1/N into a simple combinatorial problem of counting trees decorated by a finite number of loop edges. As an aside, we use the mixed expansion to show that the (divergent) perturbative expansion of the tensor models is Borel summable and to prove that the cumulants respect an uniform scaling bound. In particular the quartically perturbed measures fall, in the N→ ∞ limit, in the universality class of Gaussian tensor models.  相似文献

There are quantum solutions for computational problems that make use of interference at some stage in the algorithm. These stages can be mapped into the physical setting of a single particle travelling through a many-armed interferometer. There has been recent foundational interest in theories beyond quantum theory. Here, we present a generalized formulation of computation in the context of a many-armed interferometer, and explore how theories can differ from quantum theory and still perform distributed calculations in this set-up. We shall see that quaternionic quantum theory proves a suitable candidate, whereas box-world does not. We also find that a classical hidden variable model first presented by Spekkens (Phys Rev A 75(3): 32100, 2007) can also be used for this type of computation due to the epistemic restriction placed on the hidden variable.  相似文献

The appearance of unconventional pairing in superconducting cuprates is examined from a microscopic model, taking into account important properties of hole‐doped copper oxides. An exchange interaction between fermions and dominantly inter‐site bipolarons is considered to be the mechanism which leads to the pairing. Its momentum dependency is connected to the well‐established fermion–phonon anomalies in cuprate superconductors. Since charge carriers in these materials are strongly correlated, a screened Coulomb repulsion is added to this exchange term. Any ad hoc assumptions like anisotropy are avoided, but a microscopic explanation of unconventional pairing for coupling strengths that are in accordance with experimental facts is provided. One important outcome is a mathematically rigorous elucidation of the role of Coulomb repulsion in unconventional pairing, which is shown to be concomitant with a strong depletion of superconducting pairs. The theory, applied to the special case of LaSr 214, predicts at optimal doping i) a coherence length of 21 Å , which is the same as that obtained from the Ginzburg–Landau critical magnetic field measured for this material, and ii) d‐wave pair formation in the pseudogap regime, that is, at temperatures much higher than the superconducting transition temperature.  相似文献

We study a general model of isotropic two-dimensional spin-1 magnet, which is relevant for the physics of ultracold atoms with hyperfine S=1 spins in an optical lattice at odd filling. We demonstrate a novel mechanism of soliton pairing occurring in the vicinity of a special point with an enhanced SU(3) symmetry: upon perturbing the SU(3) symmetry, solitons with odd CP2 topological charge are confined into pairs that remain stable objects.  相似文献

The nature of pairing correlations in neutron matter is re-examined. Working within the conventional approximation in which the nn pairing interaction is provided by a realistic bare nn potential fitted to scattering data, it is demonstrated that the standard BCS theory fails in regions of neutron number density, where the pairing constant λ, depending crucially on density, has a non-BCS negative sign. We are led to propose a non-BCS scenario for pairing phenomena in neutron matter that involves the formation of a hidden dineutron state. In low-density neutron matter, where the pairing constant has the standard BCS sign, two phases organized by pairing correlations are possible and compete energetically: a conventional BCS phase and a dineutron phase. In dense neutron matter, where λ changes sign, only the dineutron phase survives and exists until the critical density for termination of pairing correlations is reached at approximately twice the neutron density in heavy atomic nuclei.  相似文献

用BCS理论计算了稀土区偶偶核和奇A核的转动惯量.计算结果表明,尽管转动惯量的计算值系统地小于实验值,但实验上观测到的转动惯量奇偶差的大幅度变化能够用BCS理论定性地描述. 这个结论与人们普遍认为的BCS理论给出的奇A核转动惯量应比相邻的偶偶核基态转动惯量大15%的看法相悖,但却证实了20多年以前Gregory和Volkov等人得出的结论,有助于人们在BCS平均场理论框架下理解正常形变核中出现全同带的现象.  相似文献

The absorption spectrum of HDO has been recorded by Intracavity Laser Absorption Spectroscopy in the 16 300-16 670 and 18 000-18 350 cm(-1) spectral regions corresponding to the weak 2nu(2) + 4nu(3) and nu(2) + 5nu(3) bands, respectively. The nu(2) + 5nu(3) band centered at 18 208.434 cm(-1) was found almost isolated and has been satisfactorily reproduced in the frame of the effective Hamiltonian model. On the other hand, the 2nu(2) + 4nu(3) band at 16 456.201 cm(-1) is strongly perturbed as the (0 2 4) bright state is involved in a complex interaction scheme including the (1 0 4), (5 0 1), (1 5 2), and (1 11 0) states. The rovibrational assignment of these interacting states was greatly helped by the high-accuracy ab initio predictions performed by D. Schwenke and H. Partridge [J. Chem. Phys. 000-000 (2000)]. They could be partly modeled by an effective Hamiltonian which has allowed the assignment and reproduction of most of the observed transitions. Copyright 2000 Academic Press.  相似文献

Energy is a crucial concept within classical and quantum physics. An essential tool to quantify energy is the Hamiltonian. Here, we consider how to define a Hamiltonian in general probabilistic theories—a framework in which quantum theory is a special case. We list desiderata which the definition should meet. For 3-dimensional systems, we provide a fully-defined recipe which satisfies these desiderata. We discuss the higher dimensional case where some freedom of choice is left remaining. We apply the definition to example toy theories, and discuss how the quantum notion of time evolution as a phase between energy eigenstates generalises to other theories.  相似文献
