1INTRODUCTION As is well known,the Yb3 ion has some advan-tages in comparison with Nd3 as laser active ion,for it has only two manifolds,i.e.,the ground2F7/2state and the excited2F5/2state.There is no excited state absorption reducing effective laser cross-section,no concentration quenching,no up-conversion,and three or four times longer emission lifetime than Nd3 ion.Yb3 ion exhibits a strong and broad ab-sorption band at ca.970nm and can be easily pumped with InGaAs diode lasers.The …  相似文献

A Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal with dimensions of 17×23 mm3 has been grown by the Czochralski method. The spectroscopic characterization of Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal was investigated. The polarized absorption cross-sections of Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal are 2.81×10-20 cm2 with full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 14 nm at 808 nm for σ-polarization and 2.04×10 -20 cm 2 with FWHM of 19 nm at 807 nm for σ-polarization, respectively. The polarized emission cross-sections of Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal are 12.2×10-20 cm2 at 1062 nm for the π-polarization and 13.6×10-20 cm2 at 1061 nm for the σ-polarization, respectively. After the Ca 2+ ion partly substitutes for Sr2+ ion in the Sr3Y(BO3)3 crystal to form the (Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 solid solution, it can improve the quantum efficiency of Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal. The quantum efficiency is 31.7%. These results may be regarded Nd3+ :(Sr0.7Ca0.3)3Y(BO3)3 crystal as a potential solid-state laser material.  相似文献

<正>This paper reports the growth,X-ray diffraction and spectroscopy of Nd~(3+):Sr_3Gd_2(BO_3)_4 crystal.A Nd~(3+):Sr_3Gd_2(BO_3)_4 crystal with dimensions ofφ20×45 mm~3 has been grown by the Czochralski method.Nd~(3+):Sr_3Gd_2(BO_3)_4 crystal belongs to the orthorhombic system,space group Pnma(D_(2h))with a=0.7401,b=1.604 and c=0.8755 nm.The absorption and emission spectra of Nd~(3+):Sr_3Gd_2(BO_3)_4 were investigated.The absorption cross sectionσ_a is 3.11×10~(-20)cm~2 at 808 nm. The absorption transition at 808 nm has an FWHM of 14 nm.The luminescence lifetimeτ_f is 51.7 us.The emission cross sectionσ_e at 1064 nm wavelength is 1.09×10~(-19)cm~2.  相似文献

Transparent Nd : BiB3O6 crystal has been grown by top-seeded method. The refraction indices of the crystal were measured and the parameters of chromatic dispersion were fitted. The room temperature absorption spectra of the crystal have been measured and compared with that of 0.2 mol/L NdCI3 solution. According to Judd-Ofelt (JO) theory, the spectral strength parameters Ω2 = 0.1776×10-20 cm2, Ω4 = 0.1282×10-20 cm2 and Ω6 = 0.1357×10-20 cm2 of Nd3+ ion were fitted. The radiative transition probabilities AJ,(?), oscillator strengths fJ,(?), radiative lifetime T and the branching ratio β(?) have all been calculated. A new laser crystal Nd005La0.95Sc3(BO3)4 up to 50mm×38mm×7 mn was grown by top-seeded solution growth method from a Li6B4O9 flux. The grown crystal was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction. Its crystal structure is monoclinic with space group Cc and the unit cell dimensions: a=12.066(5), b=9.864(2), c=7.740(3) A, β= 105.48(5)°, V=887.8(6)A3, Z=4, Dc=3.81g/cm3, which belongs to low-temperature phase. The optical absorption of the crystal shows that NLSB has a strong absorption band at 807.7 nm, which is suitable for laser-diode pumping.  相似文献

由硝酸锶、氧化钇、氧化钪、氧化硼加热,固相反应制得Sr_6YSc(BO_3)_6晶体。经单晶X射线衍射分析,该晶体属三方晶系,空间群C_(3i)~2-R,按六方晶系定轴,a=12.284(1),c=9.268(2);V=1211.2 ~3,Z=3,D_c:4.16g/cm~3,λ(MoK_a)=0.71069,μ=231.36cm~(-1),F(000)=1386(e)。用1085个衍射数据做分析,最终偏差因子R=0.039,R_(to)=0.043。在光致发光中观察到此晶体比之Cr~(3+):ScBO_3有70nm的蓝移,说明得到了一个较强的晶体场。  相似文献

Nd(DBM)3Phen-doped (DBM is dibenzoylmethane and Phen is phenanthroline) polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is prepared. Optical absorption, excitation and emission spectra were analyzed for Nd3+ in Nd(DBM)3Phen-doped PMMA. Using the Judd-Ofelt theory, the absorption spectrum was analyzed. The Judd-Ofelt(J-O) intensity parameters of Nd(DBM)3Phen-doped polymethyl methacrylate were calculated to be Ω2 = 20.97 × 10-20 cm2, Ω4 = 3.42 × 10-20 cm2, Ω6 = 2.90 × 10-20 cm2. The radiative lifetime (631 μs)of the excited 4F3/2 level is given. The stimulated emission cross-sections and the fluorescence branch ratios for the 4F3/2 →4 IJ/ transitions are also evaluated. Analysis reveals that Nd(DBM)3Phen-doped PMMA is promising for application in polymer optical fibers and planar waveguides.  相似文献

Three different perovskite-related phases were isolated in the SrGa(1-x)Sc(x)O(2.5) system: Sr(2)GaScO(5), Sr(10)Ga(6)Sc(4)O(25), and SrGa(0.75)Sc(0.25)O(2.5). Sr(2)GaScO(5) (x = 0.5) crystallizes in a brownmillerite-type structure [space group (S.G.) Icmm, a = 5.91048(5) ?, b = 15.1594(1) ?, and c = 5.70926(4) ?] with complete ordering of Sc(3+) and Ga(3+) over octahedral and tetrahedral positions, respectively. The crystal structure of Sr(10)Ga(6)Sc(4)O(25) (x = 0.4) was determined by the Monte Carlo method and refined using a combination of X-ray, neutron, and electron diffraction data [S.G. I4(1)/a, a = 17.517(1) ?, c = 32.830(3) ?]. It represents a novel type of ordering of the B cations and oxygen vacancies in perovskites. The crystal structure of Sr(10)Ga(6)Sc(4)O(25) can be described as a stacking of eight perovskite layers along the c axis ...[-(Sc/Ga)O(1.6)-SrO(0.8)-(Sc/Ga)O(1.8)-SrO(0.8)-](2).... Similar to Sr(2)GaScO(5), this structure features a complete ordering of the Sc(3+) and Ga(3+) cations over octahedral and tetrahedral positions, respectively, within each layer. A specific feature of the crystal structure of Sr(10)Ga(6)Sc(4)O(25) is that one-third of the tetrahedra have one vertex not connected with other Sc/Ga cations. Further partial replacement of Sc(3+) by Ga(3+) leads to the formation of the cubic perovskite phase SrGa(0.75)Sc(0.25)O(2.5) (x = 0.25) with a = 3.9817(4) ?. This compound incorporates water molecules in the structure forming SrGa(0.75)Sc(0.25)O(2.5)·xH(2)O hydrate, which exhibits a proton conductivity of ~2.0 × 10(-6) S/cm at 673 K.  相似文献
