This paper gives a necessary and sufficient condition that the ring of invariants of every group of automorphisms of every projective, separable, commutative algebra over a given commutative ring is itself a union of separable, projective subalgebras. This article concerns a ring property called pseudo-reduced-over-center that is satisfied by free algebras over commutative reduced rings.The properties of radicals of pseudo-reduced-over-center rings are investigated,especially related to polynomial rings.It is proved that for pseudo-reduced-over-center rings of nonzero characteristic,the centers and the pseudo-reduced-over-center property are preserved through factor rings modulo nil ideals.For a locally finite ring R,it is proved that if R is pseudo-reduced-over-center,then R is commutative and R/J(R) is a commutative regular ring with J(R) nil,where J(R) is the Jacobson radical of R.  相似文献

In this article, we characterize several properties of commutative noetherian local rings in terms of the left perpendicular category of the category of finitely generated modules of finite projective dimension. As an application, we prove that a local ring is regular if (and only if) there exists a strong test module for projectivity having finite projective dimension. We also obtain corresponding results with respect to a semidualizing module.  相似文献

In this paper we consider finite rank torsion-free rings, which have almost regular automorphisms of prime order (a non-trivial automorphism is called almost regular if it has only trivial fixed points, i.e. zero and the elements of a ring linear dependent on its identity). The main result of this paper is the analogue of G. Higman's known Theorem [1] on almost regular automorphism for commutative finite rank torsion-free rings.  相似文献

In this article, we study regular rings satisfying almost comparability. We first show that, for regular rings, almost comparability is inherited by finitely generated projective modules and finite matrix rings, and, as a main result, we prove that the strict cancellation property holds for the family of all finitely generated projective modules over directly finite regular rings satisfying almost comparability.  相似文献

We prove that over an integral domain a module is projective iff an appropriate tensor power of its symmetric algebra is an integral domain. Further, we show that contracting parts of primary decom­positions of the zero ideal in appropriate tensor powers of a symmetric algebra one obtains families of ideals canonically associated to a mod­ule, having the same radical as Fitting ideals. More precisely, we prove that those new ideals lie between the annihilators of exterior powers of the module and their radicals. An immediate consequence of our re­sults is a way to recover the radicals of Fitting ideals of a module from the symmetric algebra of that module (with its grading forgotten).  相似文献

Subject to a certain restriction on the additive group of an alternative ring A, we prove that R(A)=R(A(+)), where A(+) is a Jordan ring and R is one of the following radicals: the Jacobson radical, the upper nil-radical, the locally nilpotent radical, or the lower nil-radical. For the proof of these relationships Herstein's well-known construction for associative rings is generalized to alternative rings.  相似文献
