This paper is concerned with a doubly degenerate parabolic equation with logistic periodic sources. We are interested in the discussion of the asymptotic behavior of solutions of the initial-boundary value problem. In this paper, we first establish the existence of non-trivial nonnegative periodic solutions by a monotonicity method. Then by using the Moser iterative method, we obtain an a priori upper bound of the nonnegative periodic solutions, by means of which we show the existence of the maximum periodic solution and asymptotic bounds of the nonnegative solutions of the initial-boundary value problem. We also prove that the support of the non-trivial nonnegative periodic solution is independent of time. 相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new method for investigating the rate of blow-up of solutions of diffusion equations with nonlocal nonlinear reaction terms. In some cases, we prove that the solutions have global blow-up and the rate of blow-up is uniform in all compact subsets of the domain. In each case, the blow-up rate of |u(t)|∞ is precisely determined. 相似文献

The Dirichlet problem in arbitrary domain for degenerate and singular anisotropic parabolic equations with a nonlinear source term is considered. We state conditions that guarantee the existence and uniqueness of a global weak solution to the problem. A similar result is proved for the parabolic p-Laplace equation. 相似文献

Summary. In this paper we present and analyse certain discrete approximations of solutions to scalar, doubly nonlinear degenerate, parabolic problems of the form under the very general structural condition . To mention only a few examples: the heat equation, the porous medium equation, the two-phase flow equation, hyperbolic conservation laws and equations arising from the theory of non-Newtonian fluids are all special cases of (P). Since the diffusion terms a(s) and b(s) are allowed to degenerate on intervals, shock waves will in general appear in the solutions of (P). Furthermore, weak solutions are not uniquely determined by their data. For these reasons we work within the framework of weak solutions that are of bounded variation (in space and time) and, in addition, satisfy an entropy condition. The well-posedness of the Cauchy problem (P) in this class of so-called BV entropy weak solutions follows from a work of Yin [18]. The discrete approximations are shown to converge to the unique BV entropy weak solution of (P). This paper addresses the analysis of dynamical systems generated by doubly nonlinear evolution equations governed by subdifferential operators with non-monotone perturbations in a reflexive Banach space setting. In order to construct global attractors, an approach based on the notion of generalized semiflow is employed instead of the usual semigroup approach, since solutions of the Cauchy problem for the equation might not be unique. Moreover, the preceding abstract theory is applied to a generalized Allen-Cahn equation as well as a semilinear parabolic equation with a nonlinear term involving gradients. 相似文献

We consider monotone semigroups in ordered spaces and give general results concerning the existence of extremal equilibria and global attractors. We then show some applications of the abstract scheme to various evolutionary problems, from ODEs and retarded functional differential equations to parabolic and hyperbolic PDEs. In particular, we exhibit the dynamical properties of semigroups defined by semilinear parabolic equations in RN with nonlinearities depending on the gradient of the solution. We consider as well systems of reaction-diffusion equations in RN and provide some results concerning extremal equilibria of the semigroups corresponding to damped wave problems in bounded domains or in RN. We further discuss some nonlocal and quasilinear problems, as well as the fourth order Cahn-Hilliard equation. 相似文献

This paper deals with entire solutions and the interaction of traveling wave fronts of bistable reaction-advection-diffusion equation with infinite cylinders. Assume that the equation admits three equilibria: two stable equilibria 0 and 1, and an unstable equilibrium θ. It is well known that there are different wave fronts connecting any two of those three equilibria. By considering a combination of any two of those different traveling wave fronts and constructing appropriate subsolutions and supersolutions, we establish three different types of entire solutions. Finally, we analyze a model for shear flows in cylinders to illustrate our main results. 相似文献

f(u)dx in (0,a) × (0,T) under homogeneous Dirichlet conditions. The local existence and uniqueness of classical solution are established. Under
appropriate hypotheses, the global existence and blow-up in finite time of positve solutions are obtained. It is also proved
that the blow-up set is almost the whole domain. This differs from the local case. Furthermore, the blow-up rate is precisely

We consider transition fronts (generalized traveling fronts) of mono-stable reaction-diffusion equations with spatially inhomogeneous nonlinearity. By constructing a cutoff function and using an approximate method, we establish the existence of transition fronts of the equation. Furthermore, we give the uniform non-degeneracy estimates of the solutions, such as a lower bound on the time derivative on some level sets, as well as an upper bound on the spatial derivative. 相似文献

We study the asymptotic behavior of Lipschitz continuous solutions of nonlinear degenerate parabolic equations in the periodic setting. Our results apply to a large class of Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equations. Defining Σ as the set where the diffusion vanishes, i.e., where the equation is totally degenerate, we obtain the convergence when the equation is uniformly parabolic outside Σ and, on Σ, the Hamiltonian is either strictly convex or satisfies an assumption similar of the one introduced by Barles–Souganidis (2000) for first-order Hamilton–Jacobi equations. This latter assumption allows to deal with equations with nonconvex Hamiltonians. We can also release the uniform parabolic requirement outside Σ. As a consequence, we prove the convergence of some everywhere degenerate second-order equations. 相似文献

We consider a class of ultraparabolic differential equations that satisfy the Hörmander’s hypoellipticity condition and we prove that the weak solutions to the equation with measurable coefficients are locally bounded functions. The method extends the Moser’s iteration procedure and has previously been employed in the case of operators verifying a further homogeneity assumption. Here we remove that assumption by proving some potential estimates and some ad hoc Sobolev type inequalities for solutions. 相似文献

Carleman estimates for one-dimensional degenerate heat equations 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper, we are interested in controllability properties of parabolic equations degenerating at the boundary of the
space domain.
We derive new Carleman estimates for the degenerate parabolic equation
$$ w_t + \left( {a\left( x \right)w_x } \right)_x = f,\quad \left( {t,x} \right) \in \left( {0,T} \right) \times \left( {0,1}
\right), $$ where the function a mainly satisfies
$$ a \in \mathcal{C}^0 \left( {\left[ {0,1} \right]} \right) \cap \mathcal{C}^1 \left( {\left( {0,1} \right)} \right),a \gt
0 \hbox{on }\left( {0,1} \right) \hbox{and }\frac{1} {{\sqrt a }} \in L^1 \left( {0,1} \right). $$ We are mainly interested
in the situation of a degenerate equation at the boundary i.e. in the case where a(0)=0 and / or a(1)=0. A typical example is a(x)=xα (1 − x)β with α, β ∈ [0, 2).
As a consequence, we deduce null controllability results for the degenerate one dimensional heat equation
$$ u_t - (a(x)u_x )_x = h\chi _w ,\quad (t,x) \in (0,T) \times (0,1),\quad \omega \subset \subset (0,1). $$
The present paper completes and improves previous works [7, 8] where this problem was solved in the case a(x)=xα with α ∈[0, 2).

We consider entire solutions of nonlocal dispersal equations with bistable nonlinearity in one-dimensional spatial domain. A two-dimensional manifold of entire solutions which behave as two traveling wave solutions coming from both directions is established by an increasing traveling wave front with nonzero wave speed. Furthermore, we show that such an entire solution is unique up to space-time translations and Liapunov stable. A key idea is to characterize the asymptotic behaviors of the solutions as t→−∞ in terms of appropriate subsolutions and supersolutions. We have to emphasize that a lack of regularizing effect occurs. 相似文献
