In a chaotic scattering system there are two different approaches to construct a symbolic dynamics. One comes from the branching tree obtained from a scattering function. The other comes from a Markov partition based on the line of primary homoclinic tangencies in the Poincare map taken in the interaction region. In general the two results only coincide for a complete horseshoe. We show how to make a different choice for the partition in the internal Poincare section based on scattering behavior and not on homoclinic tangencies. Then the corresponding symbolic dynamics coincides also for the incomplete case with the one obtained naturally from the scattering functions. Recent work applying certain forms of many-body scattering theory to problems such as molecular potential energy surfaces and equations for nonequilibrium statistical mechanics indicates that a formulation of the theory based directly on multi-cluster, n-particle, wave function components could be of some utility. Such a formulation is derived in this paper using techniques from the Baer-Kouri-Levin-Tobocman and Bencze-Redish-Sloan-Polyzou theories of multi-particle scattering. It is based on components corresponding to the various multi-cluster partitions of an n-particle scattering system and is a generalization of the three-body Faddeev wave function formalism, to which it reduces when n = 3. Except for the full breakup partition, which does not enter the equations, the new components are defined for all possible m-cluster partitions of the n-particles, 2 ≤ mn ? 1. The sum of all the components yields the solution to the Schrödinger equation for scattering and either the Schrödinger equation solution or an easily identified spurious solution in the case of bound states. Both the two-cluster components and two-cluster transition operators are shown to be solutions of equations involving quantities carrying only two-cluster partition labels. Discussions of the Born term and a multiple scattering representation for the non-rearrangement transition operator and the inclusion of distortion operators in the formalism are also included.  相似文献

Starting from the cluster expansion of the partition function the second and third virial coefficient of a quantum gas is expressed in terms of the two-particle scattering amplitude. In the case of spherically symmetric interaction the result forB(T) agrees with the well known expression ofBeth andUhlenbeck, but the method given here is also valid for non-spherically symmetric and even for non-local potentials. For the third virial coefficientC(T) an expression is derived in lowest order in the two-particle scattering amplitude which is suitable for numerical calculations.  相似文献

研究了不同粗糙度下的非均匀和分区均匀不稳定表面粗糙导体目标在太赫兹波段的散射特性。区别于采用经验公式的建模方法,提出把随机粗糙面的建模理念应用到太赫兹波段的非均匀和分区均匀不稳定表面粗糙导体目标的建模中,用描述粗糙面的均方根高度和相关长度两个物理量来调节目标表面的粗糙度变化。提出表面粗糙目标的分类形式并给出具体模型,然后用随机高斯粗糙面来模拟非均匀和分区均匀不稳定粗糙目标的表面,再采用物理光学和等效电流相结合的方法来进行仿真计算,分别对不同入射角、不同频率和不同粗糙度的非均匀和分区均匀不稳定表面粗糙导体目标的太赫兹波散射特性进行分析,最后得出了相关的结论。  相似文献

Nekrasov?s partition function is defined on a flat bundle of R4 over S1 called the Omega background. When the fibration is self-dual, the partition function is known to be equal to the topological string partition function, which computes scattering amplitudes of self-dual gravitons and graviphotons in type II superstring compactified on a Calabi-Yau manifold. 基于等效原理和互易性定理研究了两个相邻目标的电磁散射问题,给出了这一复合电磁散射模型的二阶散射结果. 通常平面入射波的一阶散射结果容易求解,但由于耦合效应的复杂性,很难给出二阶散射结果的解析形式. 应用互易性定理给出了求解任意相邻导体/介质目标二阶电磁散射场的公式,并利用等效原理将求解散射场公式中的体积分简化为面积分的形式,从而降低了求解难度. 同时还推导了两个目标的二次散射场之间的关系. 最后应用给出的公式,求解了两相邻球形目标的复合散射场,对双站散射结果进行了讨论,同时与应用时域积分方程法求得的结果进行了比较. 关键词: 等效原理 互易性定理 电磁散射 相邻圆球  相似文献

We show experimentally that even when no bias voltage is applied to a quantum conductor, the electronic quantum partition noise can be investigated with GHz radio frequency excitation. Using a quantum point contact configuration as the ballistic conductor we are able to make an accurate determination of the partition noise Fano factor resulting from the photon-assisted shot noise. Applying both voltage bias and rf irradiation we are able to make a definitive quantitative test of the scattering theory of photon-assisted shot noise.  相似文献

Mayer derived the Mayer series from both the canonical ensemble and the grand canonical ensemble by use of the cluster expansion method. In 2002, we conjectured a recursion formula of the canonical partition function of a fluid(X.Z. Wang, Phys. Rev. E66(2002) 056102). In this paper we give a proof for this formula by developing an appropriate expansion of the integrand of the canonical partition function. We further derive the Mayer series solely from the canonical ensemble by use of this recursion formula.  相似文献

A scheme for measuring complex temperature partition functions of Ising models is introduced. Two applications of this scheme are presented. First, through appropriate Wick rotations, those amplitudes can be analytically continued to yield estimates for partition functions of Ising models. Bounds on the estimated error are provided through a central-limit theorem whose validity extends beyond the present context; it holds for example for estimations of the Jones polynomial. The kind of state preparations and measurements involved in this application can be made independent of the system size or the parameters of the system being simulated. Second, the scheme allows to accurately estimate non-trivial invariants of links. Another result concerns the computational power of estimations of partition functions for real temperature classical ferromagnetic Ising models. We provide conditions under which estimating such partition functions allows to reconstruct scattering amplitudes of quantum circuits, making the problem BQP-hard. We also show fidelity overlaps for ground states of quantum Hamiltonians, which serve as a witness to quantum phase transitions, can be estimated from classical Ising model partition functions. Finally, we discuss how accurate corner magnetisation measurements on thermal states of two-dimensional Ising models lead to fully polynomial random approximation schemes (FPRAS) for the partition function.  相似文献

Exact microscopic spectral correlation functions are derived by means of the replica limit of the Toda lattice equation. We consider both Hermitian and non-Hermitian theories in the Wigner–Dyson universality class (class A) and in the chiral universality class (class AIII). In the Hermitian case we rederive two-point correlation functions for class A and class AIII as well as several one-point correlation functions in class AIII. In the non-Hermitian case the average spectral density of non-Hermitian complex random matrices in the weak non-Hermiticity limit is obtained directly from the replica limit of the Toda lattice equation. In the case of class A, this result describes the spectral density of a disordered system in a constant imaginary vector potential (the Hatano–Nelson model) which is known from earlier work. New results are obtained for the average spectral density in the weak non-Hermiticity limit of a quenched chiral random matrix model at non-zero chemical potential. These results apply to the ergodic or ϵ domain of the quenched QCD partition function at non-zero chemical potential. Our results have been checked against numerical results obtained from a large ensemble of random matrices. The spectral density obtained is different from the result derived by Akemann for a closely related model, which is given by the leading order asymptotic expansion of our result. In all cases, the replica limit of the Toda lattice equation explains the factorization of spectral one- and two-point functions into a product of a bosonic (non-compact integral) and a fermionic (compact integral) partition function. We conclude that the fermionic partition functions, the bosonic partition functions and the supersymmetric partition function are all part of a single integrable hierarchy. This is the reason that it is possible to obtain the supersymmetric partition function, and its derivatives, from the replica limit of the Toda lattice equation.  相似文献

Physical details of the Camassa–Holm (CH) equation that are difficult to obtain in space-time simulation can be explored by solving the Lax pair equations within the direct and inverse scattering analysis context. In this spectral analysis of the completely integrable CH equation we focus solely on the direct scattering analysis of the initial condition defined in the physical space coordinate through the time-independent Lax equation. Both of the continuous and discrete spectrum cases for the initial condition under current investigation are analytically derived. The scattering data derived from the direct scattering transform for non-reflectionless case are also discussed in detail in spectral domain from the physical viewpoint.  相似文献

For the d-dimensional lattice gauge Potts model the representation of the partition function is derived, where the field configuration summation is reduced to the summation over submanifolds (oriented and nonoriented), constructed from the plaquettes of the lattice. The topological invariants (Betti numbers) of these two-dimensional submanifolds are used in an essential way. 本文利用蒙特卡洛法模拟圆柱形参与性介质内的辐射换热过程,分区计算了温度仅沿轴向(一维)变化和同时沿轴向和径向(二维)变化的吸收、发射、各向异性散射介质的边界热流分布,将各子区域的边界面假想为等效黑体面,采用由子区间的投射热流计算假想等效黑体面温度的方法,通过分别对介质温度分布一维和二维两种变化情况的研究表明,分区方法可以大大节省计算机内存,同时子区间介质的温度水平,几何尺寸比例以及各区间重合的光学厚度是影响热流分布精度的主要因素。  相似文献

为了深入理解双层加肋圆柱壳体的声散射机理,专门研究了两层壳体之间环肋的声散射。仅考虑模型的刚性散射,采用Kirchhoff近似推导了单个环肋的反向散射声场的解析解,并推广到等间距的环肋散射,结合圆柱壳刚性散射得到外部加周期性环肋的圆柱壳体的散射声场近似解。同时,利用图形声学方法(GRACO)对模型的目标强度进行数值计算。理论与实验的结果表明,刚性散射在反向散射声场中起主要作用,周期性环肋引起的Bragg散射对散射声场有重要贡献,同时遮挡效应在实际情况下有较大作用。   相似文献

Time-harmonic solution of Lamb wave scattering in a plane-strain waveguide with irregular thickness is investigated based on stair-step discretization and stepwise mode matching. The transfer relations of the transmission matrices and reflection matrices are derived in both directions of the waveguide. With these, an explicit expression of the scattering matrix is derived. When the scattering region of an inner irregular defect is geometrically divided into several parts composed of sub-waveguides with variable thicknesses and void regions with vertical free edges corresponding to the plate surfaces, the scattering matrix of the whole region could then be derived by modal matching along the artificial boundaries, as explicit functions of all the scattering matrices of the sub-waveguides and reflection matrices of the free edges. The effectiveness of the formulation is examined by numerical examples; the calculated scattering coefficients are in good accordance with those obtained from numerical simulation models.  相似文献
