大模场光子晶体光纤在高功率激光传输、光纤放大器、光纤激光器中的广泛应用, 使其受到研究者的广泛关注.硫系玻璃在红外波段(1–20μm)具有优良透过性能, 且具有折射率高(2.0–3.5)、声子能量低(小于350 cm-1)、 组分可调等特性, 成为制备红外光纤的理想材料. 本文设计一种基于Ge20Sb15Se65硫系玻璃基质的新型单模传输、低损耗、超大模场面积光子晶体光纤结构, 经理论验证其在λ =10.6 μm处基模限制损耗远低于0.1 dB/m, 高阶限制模损耗大于2 dB/m, 模场面积约为13333 μm2. 关键词: 硫系玻璃 大模场面积 红外光子晶体光纤 结构设计  相似文献

Fabrication of fiber-embedded multi-core photonic crystal fibers   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
A novel fabrication method of multi-core photonic crystal fibers is proposed on the basis of a fiber-embedded technique. A taper tower is used to modify the structures of the fiber preform, and four steps of fiber fabrication and different structures of fiber samples are given. The mode structures and beating characteristics of a photonic crystal fiber sample with two successive cores are investigated in detail with the help of a supercontinuum light source, a charge-coupled device (CCD) camera, and an optical spectrum analyzer. The test results show a clear beating phenomenon between two orthotropic polarization modes with a 2.8-nm peak interval in wavelength.  相似文献

We demonstrate third-harmonic generation (THG) in a dispersion-engineered slow-light photonic crystal waveguide fabricated in AMTIR-1 chalcogenide glass. Owing to the relatively low loss and low dispersion in the slow-light (c/30) regime, combined with the high nonlinear figure of merit of the material (~2), we obtain a relatively large conversion efficiency (1.4×10(-8)/W(2)), which is 30× higher than in comparable silicon waveguides, and observe a uniform visible light pattern along the waveguide. These results widen the number of applications underpinned by THG in slow-light platforms, such as the direct observation of the spatial evolution of the propagating mode.  相似文献

硫系玻璃与石英玻璃相比具有高折射率(2.0~3.5)、低声子能量(<350cm-1)、优良的中远红外透过性能(可至25μm)等特性.本文制备了一种在中红外具有优良透过特性的无As环保型Ge20Sb15Se65硫系玻璃材料,以此为基质材料设计了一种三层空气孔结构光子晶体光纤,利用多极法对光纤的中红外色散特性进行了数值模拟,系统研究了结构参量孔径d、孔间距Λ以及d/Λ对其色散特性的影响.分析表明:通过改变包层空气孔直径d或空气孔间距Λ,可灵活的调节光子晶体光纤的零色散波长向短波或长波方向移动.通过优化结构参量发现,当Λ=3μm,d/Λ=0.35附近变化时,可获得3~5μm色散平坦,且色散值小于5ps.nm-1.km-1的光子晶体光纤.  相似文献

提出了一种基于反向表面等离子体共振原理,由Ge_(20)Ga_5Sb_(10)S_(65)-钯-石墨烯分子-生物分子四层结构构成的新型生物传感器。当生物分子之间发生相互作用时,引起生物分子层折射率的变化,从而导致反向表面等离子体共振角的偏移。在此基础上,根据传输矩阵法推导了传感器的输出光谱,重点讨论了本文提出的传感器与传统传感器相比,在灵敏度、分辨率、动态检测范围以及检测信号信噪比方面取得的进展。另外,通过对比研究,深入分析了辅助介质层石墨烯厚度对传感器性能的影响。最后,利用近红外光作为提出的传感器的入射光,分析了在近红外区域传感器性能的改善。研究结果表明:单层石墨烯分子使传感器性能达到最佳;反向表面等离子共振峰强度约为入射光强的80%~90%,使传感器的输出信号具有较大的信噪比;在可见光区域,当入射光波长为632.8nm时,提出的反向表面等离子共振生物传感器的分辨率是基于SiO_2棱镜耦合反向表面等离子共振生物传感器的1.9倍,是传统表面等离子共振生物传感器的3.5倍,提出的传感器的动态检测范围约是现有传感器的2倍;利用Ge_(20)Ga_5Sb_(10)S_(65)棱镜可使反向表面等离子共振生物传感器检测光波长由可见光区域扩展到近红外区域,当入射光为1 000nm时,传感器的分辨率是可见光区域的3~4倍。该研究对基于反向表面等离子体共振原理生物传感器的实现与发展具有重要意义。  相似文献

Processes resulting in supercontinuum generation in multicomponent glass photonic crystal fibers are reviewed in this paper. Multicomponent glass photonic crystal fibers are shown to have a broad transmission range, extending up to 4.5 μm in selected cases. Pumping with a 1240-nm femtosecond pulse at very low sub-nJ energies resulted in soliton formation and dispersive wave generation in a multicomponent PCF sample having a double-core square-lattice structure. These processes were described using a phase-matching model derived from the simulated dispersive properties of the fiber. Third-harmonic generation was observed in the radiation modes of a different cobweb sample with the simultaneous formation of a soliton in the NIR.  相似文献

研究了以InAs量子点为有源区的二维GaAs基光子晶体微腔的设计与制作,测试并分析了室温下微腔的光谱特性.观察到了波长约为1137 nm,谱线半高宽度约为1 nm的尖锐低阶谐振模式发光峰.我们比较了不同刻蚀条件下光子晶体微腔的发光谱线,结果表明空气孔洞截面的垂直度是影响光子晶体微腔发光特性的重要因素之一.通过调节干法刻蚀工艺,改变空气孔半径与晶格常数的比率,可以在较大范围内调节谐振模式发光峰位置,达到谐振模式与量子点发光峰调谐的目的.  相似文献

A novel kind of As2Se3 chalcogenide glass multi-ring photonic crystal fiber is proposed. The characteristics of multi-ring photonic crystal fiber have been studied by the finite element method. Compared with another two kinds of single-core photonic crystal fibers, the multi-ring PCF can make the perfect combination of the effective mode area, the nonlinearity coefficient and multi-zero dispersion. It can achieve high power supercontinuum generation in middle infrared band; It also can be used in high-power pulsed laser fiber amplifier and high-power ultra-short pulse laser transmission in far infrared band.  相似文献

In this paper we report on the fabrication of highly birefringent photonic crystal fiber with a photonic cladding composed of elliptical holes ordered in a rectangular lattice. The fiber features a group birefringence G of 0.82×10?4 at 725 nm. We discuss the influence of structural parameters including the ellipticity of the air holes and the aspect ratio of the rectangular lattice on the birefringence and on the modal properties of the fiber.  相似文献

All normal dispersion (ANDi) and highly nonlinear chalcogenide glass photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is proposed and numerically investigated for a broad, coherent and ultra-flat mid-infrared supercontinuum generation. The proposed PCF consists of a solid core made of Ga8Sb32S60 glass surrounded by seven rings of air holes arranged in a triangular lattice. We show by employing the finite difference frequency domain (FDFD) method that the Ga8Sb32S60 PCF dispersion properties can be engineered by carefully adjusting the air holes diameter in the cladding region and ANDi regime is achieved over the entire range of wavelengths with a zero chromatic dispersion around 4.5?μm. Moreover, we demonstrate that injecting 50?fs width and 20?kW peak power laser pulses (corresponding to a pulse energy of 1.06?nJ) at a pump wavelength of 4.5?μm into a 1?cm long ANDi Ga8Sb32S60 PCF generates a broad, flat-top and perfectly coherent SC spectrum extending from 1.65?μm to 9.24?μm at the 20?dB spectral flatness. These results make the proposed Ga8Sb32S60 PCF an excellent candidate for various important mid-infrared region applications including mid-infrared spectroscopy, medical imaging, optical coherence tomography and materials characterization.  相似文献

本文以自制Ge20Sb15Se65硫系玻璃为基质材料,设计一种正八边形结构色散平坦型中红外硫系光子晶体光纤,并采用多极法对其中红外色散和传输特性进行数值研究.结果表明:控制该光纤占空比(d/Λ)在0.323—0.367之间,其色散及传输特性在3—5μm范围内可调.当孔间距Λ=3.4μm,孔直径d=1.1μm时,光纤在4.1—4.9μm波段的色散值在0.8—0.8 ps·nm 1·km 1波动,且具备单模低损耗传输(Loss0.049dB/m),小模场面积(Aeff8.46μm2)特性,适合于中红外非线性应用领域.  相似文献

工作在2μm波段附近的中红外微球激光器在生物医学传感、激光雷达、窄带光学滤波和空气污染监控等领域具有重要的应用价值.本文以自制的Tm~(3+)-Ho~(3+)共掺的Ge-Ga-Sb-S (2S2G)硫系玻璃为基质材料,采用玻璃粉末高温漂浮熔融法批量制备了高品质(典型品质因数大于10~5)硫系玻璃微球.优选一颗直径为205.82μm的微球为实验对象,利用光纤锥耦合法对其进行光学近场耦合实验.在808 nm抽运光的作用下,在1.8—2.1μm波段处可观测到明显的荧光回廊模现象.当抽运功率达到0.848 mW的阈值时,可在2080 nm附近观测到明显的激光输出.上述实验结果表明本文采用的2S2G硫系玻璃具有用于制备工作在中远红外波段的有源光学/光电子学器件的潜力.  相似文献

A high birefringence Ge20Sb15Se65 based photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is proposed. It consists of a central defect core surrounded by two kinds of elliptical air holes with different size. The Finite Difference Time Domain method (FDTD) is used to simulate the guided modes of the designed PCF. The properties of this PCF are investigated including the birefringence, nonlinearity, and polarization mode dispersion in the mid-infrared range. The results show that for the optimized structure parameters, the highest birefringence of 0.1176 is obtained. The maximum nonlinearity coefficients of 38390 w?1km?1 and 49760 w?1km?1 for x- and y-polarization modes are achieved.  相似文献

We report a new helicoidal long-period grating by twisting a photonic crystal fiber under CO2 laser irradiation and experimentally investigated its novel transmission characteristics. The fabricated helicoidal PCF-LPG has a relatively short length of ∼1.4 cm with a low polarization dependent loss less than 1 dB and thermal shift of ∼3.7 pm/°C. The proposed device endows the unique resonant peaks tuning capability more than ∼18 nm by applying torsion stress, which has not been achieved in prior PCF-LPGs. From these novel thermo-optic and photo-mechanical properties, the proposed device can be applied for various components, including optical filters, attenuators, and sensors.  相似文献

40 S40Se20, deposited by thermal evaporation, were obtained in the 400 nm to 2200 nm spectral region. The optical constants of this amorphous material were computed using an optical characterization method based mainly on the ideas of Minkov and Swanepoel of utilising the upper and lower envelopes of the spectrum, which allows us to obtain both the real and imaginary parts of the complex refractive index, and the film thickness. Thickness measurements made by a surface-profiling stylus have been carried out to cross-check the results obtained by the optical method. The dispersion of the refractive index is discussed in terms of the single-oscillator Wemple–DiDomenico model. The optical band gap has been determined from absorption coefficient data by Tauc’s procedure. Finally, the photo-induced and thermally induced changes in the optical properties of a-As40S40Se20 thin films were also studied, using both transmission and reflection spectra. Many researching efforts have been reported to seek various fundamental LC resonance structures, recently. But still the Split Ring Resonator (SRR) is the most famous and major fundamental LC-resonance structure used in the metamaterial. We employed SRR structure as the fundamental LC-resonance mechanism to fabricate photonic crystal with periodic arrangement of two different metamaterial areas composed from SRR arrays on the dielectric substrate. We developed Photonic Metamaterial Crystal (PMC) to realize the more advanced and versatile functions of the metamaterial by 1 dimensional or 2 dimensional periodic arranging of two metamaterial sections which have different dispersion properties due to the different size of SRR structures each other. In this paper, we report the fabrication process, estimation of PMC properties and some possible future application prospects, for instance the PMC waveguide structures and nonlinear properties of PMC observed as selective LC-resonant properties in Raman mapping analysis of PMC. These are quite interesting characters of PMC and the attractive applications as the PMC devices.  相似文献

The tomographic reconstruction of the refractive index distribution in a large-mode-area photonic fiber is presented. The results of the diffraction tomographic algorithm and classical filtered backprojection method are compared.
